Wolterhof in Gelsenkirchen

Schade. Im letzten Jahr waren wir auch zum Hochzeitstag dort. Alles war super klasse. Heute, am 29.10.24, Bedienung super lieb und aufmerksam. Die Gerichte vom Vorjahr! Rumpsteak mit Zwiebeln, durchgebraten und fest. Schweinemedaillons in Pfefferrahm mit Speck ummantelt wurden vor den braten flach geklopft und waren darum zäh. Salat zu süss, Geschmackssache. Schade. Wahrscheinlich war der Koch vom letzten Jahr schon wieder weg.

Der Wolterhof hat extrem nachgelassen, das Frühstück nach einer Beerdigung war eine Katastrophe, noch nie so schlecht gefrühstückt!

It's always nice to have the boss there. He always covers the table outside with a tablecloth. That alone is much more comfortable than if no one comes there. The dishes and drinks are worth the money and it's not that expensive. The waitresses are very friendly and it sometimes takes longer than expected, which is justified as coffee and cake are usually quick, but a waffle has to be baked first. There was a problem recently so that I could get a decent one last time New ones made because the first one was torn in the middle. It can happen because it's all done by hand.

We went to the Wolterhof last Friday for coffee after my husband's funeral. The tables were set so lovingly, the staff were friendly and quick. The "coffee drink" we ordered turned out to be almost a three-course meal, a very tasty soup, sandwiches and rolls, scrambled eggs and later cake. The coffee was widely praised and everyone was more than full. Plus the excellent service, even though the restaurant was full. I only have one tiny point of criticism, but that's just my personal opinion. I would have liked a small cucumber and a slice of tomato with the cutlet plate. 😉 But it doesn't change the full number of points. And all the guests were thrilled too. I think it's great. Maybe for melancholic reasons, we don't know anything for sure. But the hospitality is nice and fun, the food tastes as expected, delicious, prices haven't skyrocketed. And the farm dog comes to cuddle every now and then...

We celebrated our wedding here and Ms. Wolter implemented everything the way we imagined it and was open to all suggestions and, beyond that, just really warm, just a really lovely woman! I already knew the food from our company Christmas party and it was simply great this time too. We will come back for dinner sometime!

Beautiful place to relax. Very good and high quality cuisine. A little expensive but it's worth it. The staff is particularly friendly and guarantees you a good time. You can sit wonderfully outside or very comfortably inside. You can rent the traditional “Grandma House” for celebrations. Particularly impressive for guests from abroad.

Friendly service and delicious cakes

We've been there a few times and were happy with everything. We were there yesterday and had the spinach gnocchi and the salmon salad. The gnocchi was great, but the salad was just the side salad in a large version with a bit of salmon. It turns out that the restaurant is going on vacation soon and that's why they don't have everything ea anymore. And charging €20 for it is really a bad impression.

Very nice service. Our waitress responded to all the special requests from our table (with 8 people). The salad dressing and the honey-ginger slices were tasty, but a little too sweet and the meat cooked a little too long. We look forward to our next visit to Gelsenkirchen.

Compared to other courtyards, the outside design is rather careless. A lot of asphalt. It's nicer inside. More of an older audience. The cake is okay, but not great.

Our favorite place to get our Sunday cake. The tarts and cakes taste great, you get large pieces and the staff is always friendly. It stays that way, we come by regularly! 😊 The farm shop also offers a great selection of homemade and regional products. Highly recommended!

Cake is good, service is subpar. If you want a certain piece of the pie you will be squeezed and reprimanded. They have to take what we give them. I then refrained from buying in the store.

We had ordered a table for 3 people. We actually wanted to eat warm. But the kitchen closed at 5 p.m. What I think is a good restaurant, very bad. We could only eat coffee ☕️ and cake 🎂. So it was closed at 6 p.m. It's actually very strange. This wasn't the case 3 years ago. Probably a lack of staff. You hear that everywhere. But the cake 🎂 was very tasty 😋. It was raspberry sour cream cake and mandarin sour cream cake.

Prices are outrageous for the portion size and quality of the dishes served. The service is like this. Cake tastes good, here the pieces are getting smaller and smaller and are extremely expensive compared to other good cafes in Gelsenkirchen. For me, the Wolterhof is now anything but recommended.

I felt very comfortable, I ordered the Holsteiner Schnitzel which was very small. I also told the waitress. The answer I got was that they were all the same weight. On the other plate it looked different. To me There is nothing worse than leaving the restaurant hungry.

A place to feel good and to linger. The price is a bit high, but the quality is in the top league. I always enjoy coming here.

The food was delicious without exception, and the cake also tasted very good. The service was very good and all dishes were served hot at the same time. Maybe the next occasion for our visit will be more pleasant, but we'd be happy to come back at any time

Wer Abstriche beim Ambiente nicht aber beim Essen machen möchte, ist hier in guten Händen. Edel-Rustikal mit ehrlichem familiären Ambiente gibt's auf Nachfrage auch die Extrawurst.

Alles super. Fleisch butterweich. Ein Stern weniger, da es einigen am Tisch etwas gezogen hat bzw. kalt war wegen der Nähe zur Tür die zur anderen "Scheune" führt. Die Kellner sehr freundlich, nett zu Kindern und auch etwas lustig, aber unaufdringlich lustig. Sehr angenehm. Den Hinweis auf Alkohol in Speisen gab es, weil Kinder dabei waren. Der fehlte mir so auf der Karte. Gibt ja auch Erwachsene, die es nicht mögen/dürfen. Als Anregung.

Perfekt wieder immer....meine Empfehlung

Ich musste erst erst mal schauen, ob es das gleiche Lokal ist, was ich meine, als ich die vielen Bewertungen gelesen habe. Ja, ich kann beruhigend sprechen vom gleichen Lokal. Heute waren wir hier auf einer Familienfeier im so genannten Oma Haus. Man muss sich vorstellen, man hat hier ein großes Bauernhof ähnliches Gelände mit verschiedenen Gebäuden, in dem man entweder normal von der Karte essen kann oder man führt hier eine Familienfeier Hochzeit Geburtstag oder sonstiges durch und findet sich in einem der Räumlichkeiten wieder . Wir haben im so genannten Oberhaus eine richtig tolle Geburtstagsfeier gehabt. Es gab sehr, sehr tolles Essen man muss sagen das Geschnetzeltes das Rindfleisch aber auch die Schnitzel waren außergewöhnlich lecker. Die Kroketten würde ich behaupten waren nicht aus der Tüte sondern selber gemacht auch der Rotkohl. Richtig lecker und toll. Die Bedienung hervorragend freundlich zuvorkommend wie eigentlich alles, was wir heute dort erlebt haben. Ich habe kein perfekt gegeben fürs Lokal. Man hat immer Möglichkeiten sich zu verbessern. Eine Toilette für alle Gäste auch wenn auf den ersten Blick vom Platzmangel vielleicht nicht anders möglich wo ein Wille da ein Weg. Ansonsten kann ich nur sagen es war eine extrem tolle Feier für alle Beteiligten. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut der Service war hervorragend und auch der Kuchen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Dort werden wir definitiv noch mal bei Zeiten einkehren gehen.

Ein sehr leckeres Essen mit einem freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service in einem gut besetzten aber nicht zu eng bestuhltem Lokal - was will man mehr. Die Preise waren angemessen, die Portionen gut. Wir kommen wieder!

Hier gibt's die weltbeste Käsesahnetorte. Eigentlich sind alle Torten Bombe, aber die Käsesahnetorte ist mein absoluter Favorit. Auch der Hofladem sollte erwähnt werden. Tolles Verkaufsteam super Auswahl, alles Frisch und lecker.

Haben unsere Hochzeit in der Scheune im Oktober 2021 mit gut 25 Personen gefeiert, hatten eine eigene sehr nette Service Dame, die Getränke ausgeschenkt hat, mit Sekt Empfang und ala Cart essen mit Vorspeise. Das Essen ist dort Mega. Hatten eine kleine Karte Mittags und nochmal eine kleine Karte für Abends der, der noch etwas essen wollten und für nachmittags eine Kuchenplatte. Wir waren total zufrieden und Preisleistung war auch top. Jetzt gehen wir Regelmäßig dort Schnitzel essen und immer im Schlepptau Mutter und Schwiegermonster, den immer wenn wir erzählen das wir zum Wolterhof Schnitzel essen gehen, wollen die immer mit und lassen sofort alles stehen und liegen, weil das essen richtig lecker ist und nen stück kuchen gibt es auch immer. Der Wolterhof ist eine Einkehr wert. Kaffee und Kuchen sind sehr gut, die Speisen (am Nebentisch) sahen lecker aus. Werden das Mal probieren.

Idyllischer Ort zwischen Feldern und toller Dekoration. Sehr nettes, freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen. Schon wegen des Kuchens werd ich wieder hinfahren.

Eigentlich gingen wir da früher gerne und oft hin. Nicht billig, ziemlich ungepflegtes Ambiente im Außenbereich, aber (mit Schwankungen) leckere gutbürgerliche Küche mit oft auch tollen Bratkartoffeln, die nicht im Fritreusefett ertrunken sind. Guter Service. Dann aber der Skandal : Ein total überfälliges, stinkend-fauliges Rindersteak wurde serviert. Die entsprechende Entschuldigung des netten Kellners (Sohn der Wirtin ?) , der erkennbar angewidert an dem Ding roch, war sehr halbherzig in seiner Reaktion. Vielleicht muss da die Aufsicht öfter mal die Kühlung und deren Inhalte überprüfen. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin.
