Unfortunately, the portion was so small that after eating you were just as hungry as before. The hollandaise sauce was served cold. When asked, they said that it was harmful to health when warm. For the price you can expect more!

The mussels "French style" were inedible! I enjoy eating mussels very often, whether in France or Germany, but I had to leave them alone for the first time in my life. They were undercooked and served in a floury mush. I felt really sick. They couldn't get my companions down either. But the waiter was very friendly and at least offered us a coffee on the house.

The portions were absolutely ok for the price of €23.90 and by no means small. Unfortunately the quality is catastrophic. Starting with the basic product. Tiny mussels (as a restaurateur you are of course dependent on what you get at the market), the broth was far from white wine cream. The white You tasted it and it was ok too. Not too much acid. There was absolutely no taste of cream at all, I was a bit for the color in it. Slightly thickened it turned out to be a partially lumpy roux. Some of the mussels were not cooked. I would like to praise the young man who took over the service after the order was placed. He was very helpful and friendly, even after we said that we really didn't like the food at all. He really did his best. Hence 3 stars for the service.

Right next to the church on the shopping street in Buer you will find a restaurant with an outdoor area that at first glance appears to be a quaint little pub. Please come in, the first impression is only partially deceptive! The front area of ​​the restaurant is actually a bar area, but with a few tables where you can eat comfortably. For those who like something a little different, there is a guest room further back. There is a slightly more upscale atmosphere. There is nothing negative to say about the menu. There is something very tasty for everyone: soup, starter, salad plate, steak, poultry, fish, rabbit, lamb or pasta. You can also find desserts here if you aren't too full after the generous portion. During my visit I had the nut-crusted rabbit in grape port wine sauce. And I still have one because the portion wasn't enough for the rest of my life! So: when will we see each other there?

The selection of dishes was extremely diverse and offered something for every taste. Our food was delicious, but unfortunately not enough. Of course there is the finest schnitzel and steak. The dishes from the seasonal menu are really good. These are asparagus, mussels, goose, etc. The Witch is our local bar.

Unfortunately, I am no longer satisfied with the food here. This was my second time eating here this year and both times it was anything but good. The Bierkutscherschnitzel, still on the menu for years if not decades and my first choice, unfortunately doesn't retain much of its former taste. The sauce tastes very much like gravy, the fried potatoes are full of fat. The Creme Brullee is very expensive at 11 euros and there was no trace of real vanilla (black specks) and it also tasted very much like a refrigerator and the consistency doesn't have much in common with a real Creme Brullee. I was even able to make a comparison the next day (La Cucina Officina for only 7 euros), it was worlds apart. But the white sausage, which was probably only bought and heated, also tasted inedible, which leads me to conclude that it was a very bad purchase. The cheapest sausage there is?! . All in all, I think that after the change of operator there will be a lot of savings in terms of product quality, the products themselves and craftsmanship, that's how it seems to me. The Hexenhäuschen was my favorite restaurant in Buer for decades, which is why I wanted to give it another chance after the botched first visit this year and the first since the change of operator. But if it doesn't return to its old quality, I won't come back in the future. I think that's a shame, also because I really like the service staff, some of whom have been working there for as long as I can remember.

The old waitresses are no longer there either, which is a shame, although the two young men who brought us the food were also very nice and attentive. All in all the food was a disappointment for me, will not be returning.

So the food is good. However, the service simply takes too long. We spent over 2 hours there with starter and main course. Dessert should take another 30 minutes. The original old walls do have a certain charm in a positive sense, but the tables and chairs are very old-fashioned and should be replaced with more modern furniture. There were twelve of us there and our impression was that the acoustics were quite good and we didn't have to shout at each other. The service staff was really very attentive and friendly. The beef steak was cooked to perfection and was very tasty, but the sauce that was served in the sauce pot was so extremely salty that it was difficult to enjoy. I generally like saltier food, but this sauce didn't work at all! If the sauce is generally prepared this way, you should keep an eye on the amount of salt used and taste it yourself. The dessert (chocolate dream) was really delicious, although not exactly cheap. Overall, despite the extremely salty sauce, 4/5 stars

The three of us were there yesterday. We were thrilled and very welcome from the start. The service was excellent, the lady was friendly and charming. There was a little surprise from the kitchen, we were lucky enough to taste a potato and carrot soup (a welcoming gesture so that we don't have to wait long for the main course, which is freshly prepared). Main courses were served on warm plates to keep them nice and hot. The taste was also great. The restaurant is definitely recommended. (Unfortunately there was no daily menu on our menu cards, but there was one hanging outside. Presumably because it was already evening)

We had reserved a table for four people. The food, four different schnitzels, only came to the table in 3 deliveries after we asked for more than an hour. The restaurant wasn't full and by 9:15 p.m. most of the other guests had already eaten. The service was unfriendly and inattentive. When I saw the waiter in the passage to the toilet putting the finishing touches to two desserts, the dessert order was also taken care of. As other guests have already noted, the toilet and its surroundings are in urgent need of renovation. The walk there allows meaningful insights into the food distribution and the scullery. The witch can't do enough magic for us to come back.

Today we were invited to dinner. The Zum Hexenhäuschen restaurant was chosen. A table reservation seems to be required. The drink order was quick and the drinks arrived quickly. After ordering the food, it took a while until it was served. Because the food is probably freshly prepared. My dish was tasty and plentiful. I would probably have been full from a senior plate. I can't say much about the prices because I don't have much opportunity to compare them. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The ambience corresponds to the age of the restaurant. I can recommend the restaurant, even a good eater will be full.

Die Gerichte sind toll abgeschmeckt. Fisch, Schnitzel, Pasta, Muscheln und sogar vegan Tofu. Mit kleinen Raffinessen verfeinert, sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Das Essen ist richtig gut und der Service ist witzig, sehr aufmerksam und kompetent. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren auf Empfehlung dort zum Abendessen, leider hat uns das Essen nicht überzeugt. Die Vorspeisen haben nach Bestellung ca.45min gebraucht, was ich doch sehr lang finde, dazu kam es, dass die Zwiebelsuppe an den falschen Tisch serviert worden ist. So hat meine Frau ihre mediterrane Vorspeise schon alleine essen müssen. Anschließend eine weitere halbe Stunde auf das Hauptgericht gewartet. Meine Gänsebrust war schon sehr trocken und die Haut war schon an gewissen Stellen dunkel- schwarz. Die Muscheln in pikanter Tomatensauce waren sehr lasch, haben uns da doch mehr versprochen. Leider wird es unser letzter Besuch dort. Schade.

Wir waren gestern Abend zum Essen im Hexenhäuschen. Das Servicepersonal war sehr nett. Das Essen klasse. Wir hatten Muscheln und das Lamm. Das Ambiente zusammen gewürfelt, aber nicht ohne Charme. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich bin eigentlich ein großer Fan vom Hexenhäuschen und gehe immer gerne mit meiner Familie dort essen. Es freut mich, dass es so leckere Vegane und vegetarische Gerichte gibt. Allerdings frage ich mich, wieso man unbedingt ein „Zigeunerschnitzel“ auf der Karte haben muss… Die Bezeichnung „Zigeuner“ ist veraltet und steht untrennbar mit rassistischen Zuschreibungen, Klischees und negativen Stereotypen in Zusammenhang. Für betroffene Menschen ist es diskriminierend und sorgt auch bei Menschen wie mir für Unwohlsein. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn man aus Rücksicht diesen Begriff streichen und das Schnitzel einfach als Kalbs-/ Schweineschnitzel mit Paprikasoße o.ä. umschreiben oder es vielleicht einfach durch ein weiteres veganes/ vegetarisches Gericht ersetzen würde ;-)

Tolle Auswahl für Vegetarier und Veganer. Freundlicher Service, richtig ordentliche Portionen. Dazu gibt es einen Gruß aus der Küche.
