CurryQ GmbH in Kranenburg

A typical tourist trap for bargain-hunting tourists. Long lines, limited indoor space, and filthy restrooms. I developed a stomach ache within half an hour after eating a currywurst and pommes menu here. Luckily, there was a restroom in the DM.

It used to be okay, but now there's a rude guy with dirty long hair. What a character. I can't speak to you properly. Too lazy to stand, so I won't eat here anymore.

Low quality food and service, very dirty toilets. Absolutely not recommended.

Way too crowded. First, we had to wait in line for a table, then in a long line to get our food. The food was otherwise fine.

Good food but the fries were way too salty

Whenever we go shopping, we stop here for a bite to eat. The currywurst and schnitzel menus are a big hit and are our favorites. We love coming here, and it's a must-do during our visit to Kranenburg.

Canteen-like atmosphere and ditto food and clientele (hi, Ma Flodder!). First time I was here instead of at Peters around the corner. Big mistake. You'd think you'd have to queue for your food, so it must be good. I think it's more because it's cheap and most people don't see beyond their noses (a better fast-food restaurant—Peters—is a 300-meter walk). The bratwurst had probably been there for an hour, just like the sad frikandellen from Febo waiting in their hatch until a drunkard can no longer care that they're limp and dried out. Bratwurst a 4/10. Maybe it's better during rush hour when everything is cooked to order, but that shouldn't matter. Tasteless schnitzel made from inferior meat with a similar coating. Not crispy, more like a shoe sole. The tray that should have been clean was sticking to the sides. They don't have wheat beer; in my opinion, you should make do with the undrinkable Bitburger pilsner. If you want to make a German cry, take them here. This place is only tolerated by the locals because everyone knows it's only meant for clueless Dutch people—I didn't hear anyone speaking German on the terrace.

Today we wanted the daily lunch special. They offered kale with Mettwurst. The weekly flyer said this portion would cost €8.90. Right on the counter by the cash register was a sign saying €8.50. !!! We ordered three portions and asked if we could have two Mettwursts per portion instead of one. No problem. When a restaurant offers a lunch special that day, customers would think the lunch special would be ready to eat straight from the big pot, like on other days, but no. Our three portions were heated cold in the microwave. Well, it was warm, but that didn't matter. The worst part was that when we asked what the bill was, we were simply charged for the more expensive option. Despite that, there was a separate sign on the counter with a different price. The second Mettwurst was then charged an unreasonable €3 each. Well, it couldn't get any worse!! Someone should think about how the staff should behave in these situations, and where exactly is the customer service? Incidentally, the "extra" sausages were taken directly from the meat counter and then warmed up quickly. Of course, this sausage, which cost €3, didn't taste as good as the sausage that came with it anyway.

It's a pleasant place to sit and enjoy good food, though when it's too busy, they don't cook the fries thoroughly. And when it's busy, the tables are so packed that the atmosphere suffers. But otherwise, there's plenty of choice, and the sandwiches are delicious too.

Great eatery with delicious currywurst and schnitzels. The food is good quality. The staff could use a bit more speed, though; an extra man would be helpful.

Disgusting hygiene.. I smelt the toilets 10m away… I was walking on a floor full of urine. I had to walk through to go toilet then had to walk through the restaurant with urine soaked shoes. I confronted the staff about the bad hygiene and they said they understand but they couldn’t do anything about it because the cleaners only come in the evening when the restaurant is closed. It put us off our food completely. Only ever experienced this in a lay-by stop by a motorway. Never in a restaurant.

I can't place all the negative reviews; I've been going there for years. The service is good, I'm trying to adapt to speaking German, but it's not necessary; the staff speaks good Dutch. The food is excellent, and we'll definitely be back next Friday for something to eat and drink. 👍👍

Yesterday we went there for dinner with 4 people. We were helped so rudely by the male employee (with short blond hair). Didn't want to listen to what we wanted, then started charging way too much and put it on the table. We had to pay for food that we had NOT ordered and which could then go straight into the bin! Really not normal! Ordered (and paid for!) a large schnitzel and then got a small one, arguing with this man was impossible! Also when we wanted to order drinks the gentleman got irritated and started cursing at us with a German swear word that ends in '***eize'. This is not the way to treat customers, for this reason they will never see us here again!

Had a delicious bratwurst sandwich. Was busy and long wait but it was worth it. Only toilets were not clean that is the only point of attention.

Delicious food! It's getting more and more expensive!

Snack is clear, but the large schnitzel for €11 was extremely thin and most of it was breading. After ordering, the finished schnitzel was thrown into the deep fryer twice and killed completely. The hunter's sauce... I know with mushrooms and onions... probably missing from the powder... Too bad...

Started with the order...this employee of curry q kranenburg was apparently in a hurry (no customer in the line except us) didn't even ask what kind of sauce we wanted with our schnitzel. Then we took a bite of the schnitzel...that schnitzel tasted so salty that you instantly got a blood pressure of 300+!! Back to the cash register with a sign to ask if those schnitzels always taste so salty, in response the gentleman immediately dumps the entire plate in the trash. Talking about hospitality... Reason for us to take some pictures and give a review about this experience. That employee comes after us to threaten to delete those photos or call the police LOL. Just stalked us for half an hour and threatened to call the police (who of course didn't show up) while we went shopping. Was the gentleman suddenly gone Break is definitely over...:) We will never come to this place again

On a saturday 17.00. No schnitzels, no pasta, only currywurst which was good. Atmosphere not well.

I can't recommend it, the currywurst with fries wasn't worth the money. I have rarely eaten such a bad currywurst.

The food tastes reasonable. In terms of price-quality, you are honestly better off going to the other side (Rewe butcher's shop). Delicious (generous) sandwiches and delicious, real German schnitzel.

Top sandwiches, if you're hungry on Sundays, you can do that until 2 p.m. Always good

Update 2025: Still a good place to eat if you want to take a break between shopping. The price of a dish is still reasonable. Large portions and well cooked fries. It can be really busy here and the staff does its best to provide all those Dutch shoppers with a meal. The currywurst and bratwurst are standard, but you can also get spaghetti bolognese, fusili with stew and also kale with sausage in the winter months. You can order a small salad as a side dish with different types of vegetables. Patience is a virtue, but then you get your money's worth. Handy place to have a German and Dutch snack. The coffee was also good. Staff is friendly and speaks Dutch!

Schnitzel from the fryer. Jeager sauce consisted of 1 mushroom and some greasy sauce. Not worth the price. It's best to ignore it. Owner would respond to my email. Still to be done.

Food is generally good here, sufficient quantity for a reasonable price. Plenty of choice and a free toilet included. If it is not too busy you can sit relaxed, the furniture is partly comfortable. The butcher in the same building sells very tasty meat and not expensive. There is also a good bakery with tasty rolls and pastries.

They have excellent coffee and tasty German sandwiches. Last time the toilets smelled really bad and the floor was dirty.

Better and cheaper, including groceries, I still have money left over here, the shelf life will increase by 6 cents at the weekends, rats are ashamed to be Dutch.

Too bad they let the fat from the fried cutlets drain onto the sausage. Otherwise, as before, the sausage was simply gluten-free. And it's not all that clean anymore: the toilets smell really bad and the ladies' toilet has no seats. Brrrrrr really dirty!

It was not good and very expensive, the food didnt taste like anything and the workers werent nice at all. I do not recommend going to this place

Pay close attention to the prices: many items have to be paid extra. It was edible, but that's all. Men's toilets 2 urinals, 1 of which is out of order. Only 1 toilet .....and it was out of order. Floors GOOR . Shoes stuck. A once in a lifetime experience!!!!

Shopping in Kranenburg, then to CurryQ for coffee and cake and always currywurst with fries in the evening before the return trip. A great tradition for me.

It's a curry sausage but a bit soggy. Fries were almost cold. Service was friendly, but it was very chaotic, which is why it took an unnecessarily long time. There is still a lot of room for improvement here, but when you are hungry it is warm and you get something to eat.

Very busy around dinner time and too little staffing in my opinion. I saw on a flyer that employees were also being sought. So maybe that explains it. The currywurst was not great, I have had better and the fries were quite bland. No bad word for the people who worked really hard. But the control was minimal.

I hope the staff gets compensation on very hot days. It's really not clear to me that it's not possible to have air conditioning in such places these days, and the store is so busy that it would be worth it.

Cold food. Grumpy staff. It is better to walk into the center and eat better for the same money. Where the staff is also happy when you come as a customer.

Curryq Kranenburg offers an average dining experience in a lively and busy environment. Although the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, the price-quality ratio is reasonable. From a personal perspective, a visit to this restaurant could be considered if one is looking for affordable options without high expectations of the ambiance or culinary sophistication.

Good food at a friendly price. It is always busy, many regular guests. It's all on one level. Toilets are always tidy. Staff is always friendly and some speak Dutch. Regular stop when we go shopping.

Delicious food, friendly staff and good service. A bit limited seating, as they are shared with the bakery in the same building. Also covered terrace available. Reasonable prices, enough choice. Toilets are neat. Everything on one floor. Lots of parking spaces because it is near all the shops, but finding a spot is often a challenge.

Value for your money. Delicious cappuccino, fresh healthy sandwiches. More than enough places. Toilets a bit "overworked".

Bratwurst was very dry and fries not cooked properly. Everything feels a bit dingy and not fresh. Small six, that says it all.

This shop with delicious sandwiches is flooded on Saturdays with Dutch tokkies who have a speech impediment. So what you hear is not German.

The schnitzel had flavor and was not dry, but disappointingly small for 6 euros excluding sauce and side dishes. The fries still come in good portions, but are clearly undercooked. Also had metzgerschaschlik, it was more like a stew with barely any flavor than a skewer. Fortunately the food is still filling, that's all that matters to a student. Unfortunately, this place has also had to experience a significant price increase, so you need at least ten euros to have a decent meal here, but it remains one of the cheaper options. The staff are friendly and attentive. Many Dutch people.

Come there regularly. Simple kitchen. After a bike ride it is always nice to have a meal there. Unfortunately, it is sometimes so busy and popular that it is difficult to find a free table.

Great for a quick lunch after doing some shopping at the various shops. The service is friendly and smooth. The food was good. We had the chicken burger. Toilet I went to was clean. The toilet my daughter used was not clean. The floor was very dirty.

It's just a butcher's shop with an adjoining grill. The food is very tasty, I can especially recommend the goulash soup. The adjacent bakery has delicious bread and rolls and you can have a very good breakfast in the attached café!

Schnitzels were gone and the chicken nuggets were gone, which was a shame. Curry sausage and fries were possible and tasted good. Good news for the Dutch that there are frikandels and fries sauce. Toilets were quite dirty by the way :-(

Heerlijke curryworst. En andere lekkere dingen. Helaas is de slagerij tegenwoordig op maandag gesloten.

Vorige keer heb ik beter gegeten, deze keer was de schnitzel erg droog. En best wel taai. En de bestelde bak-aardappeltjes werden niet geleverd. Ach, het was druk. Vorige keer was het goed, ik zie het door de vingers

Lekkere curryworst met patat gegeten, ook vriendelijk geholpen.
