We celebrated our wedding in the Klosterschänke Karthaus and are still very happy about it. From the first contact we felt we were in very good hands with the Klosterschänke team. In recent years, the owner has reinvented the monastery tavern - be it in terms of the new furnishings/equipment or the excellent food. All agreements regarding our wishes were completely uncomplicated and Mr. Bialy was available at any time to answer any questions. So it was no problem to set up a buffet that, in addition to meat dishes, also had a large number of vegetarian/vegan dishes. We were also able to decorate and furnish the room according to our wishes, with Carsten Bialy always at our side with a helping hand. During the celebration we felt welcomed by an extremely attentive and motivated team who accompanied our guests and us with outstanding service and a lot of cheerfulness and ease throughout the day and well into the night. Due to the beautiful weather, everything was ready for a wonderful reception outside the banquet hall and our guests and their children were also able to use the entire lawn in front of the monastery tavern to relax and play. Our DJ was also very happy with the in-house music system. For this reason we can only give a very clear recommendation for the Klosterschänke!

Super delicious to eat and fast service. It's just a shame that they have to close forever at the end of December 2024 because no successor could be found.

We were only invited there for breakfast but everything was arranged and set up a bit carelessly. Then you shouldn't accept something like that

We had dinner there today. Have wild Ate it, it was very, very tasty. Everything was super fresh, game meat was very tender, salad was crunchy and the dressing was very good yummy. The service was very nice and friendly, we will be back. Thanks !!!

Very tasty food and the Kölsch was tapped super, as it should be

I ordered “Krüstchen with fried egg” and got “Krüstchen” on the fried egg (burnt egg). When I was clearing up I said to the waiter that the cooks could eat the burnt eggs themselves. What makes good waiters: say sorry and ask if the guest would like a new egg or something. What is the waiter doing at Wilde Ente? Laugh in my face and say, “That’s crunchy.” I would never eat here again. Maybe have a drink, Seilersee is beautiful and quiet.

Company holidays until March 13th, 2025 (as of March 2nd, 2025) / unfortunately the opening times have not been updated / it's a shame, we went there with 8 adults and were hungry in anticipation.

My partner and I went to Alt Schildesche for asparagus today. It was a very tasty meal in a pleasant atmosphere. We would like to thank the entire Seelmeyer team.

I can't understand the bad reviews about the host/staff. Super nice, friendly, open-minded & with humor. We had a really nice evening and there were around 20 guests. Plus the guests who weren't part of our group. Due to the quantity & different orders & take-out service, the food took a little longer and tasted good. That was announced and was completely ok. It is an older house, with rustic furnishings and a lot of charm. I felt very comfortable and had a nice evening. Thank you 🍺.

Loud, good food but nothing special.

Delicious food for a reasonable price, service was good with the exception of a few. Atmosphere was also nice, with secluded corners.

Sweet restaurant with attention to detail! The food was very tasty - we were there on Saturday, which is why it sometimes took a little longer, but all in all it was TOP!
