We were very satisfied. The food is delicious and plentiful. The service is very friendly. You walk in and immediately feel at home. The decor is cozy and rustic. It's a great place to linger. The prices are absolutely reasonable. No complaints whatsoever! 😁 Thank you and see you soon!

We had dinner here as part of a training course. The schnitzels are huge and definitely worth the money. The country house has an outdoor area, which we only used for smoking due to the weather. VERY IMPORTANT: CASH ONLY!! The atmosphere is rustic, the staff is friendly and attentive, and we had a really lovely evening. I highly recommend it.

The price-performance ratio is excellent, the lunch buffet tastes very good, and the staff are always friendly. I also really like the ambiance with the Wurmtal valley.

Average quality. Nothing special. The price is justified. You can tell it's instant sauce and red cabbage from a jar. The food wasn't very hot when it arrived.

The restaurant has a ramp, and although we didn't mention it, we were given a wheelchair-accessible spot near the bar. However, it's better to let them know beforehand, as these spaces are limited. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

We wanted to sit outside with our dog today in the sunshine (18 degrees Celsius). The waiter said it wasn't possible, "he'd catch a cold," hahaha. Afterwards, we went to the Nikolaus Grill around the corner and had a lovely time sitting outside with delicious food.

Good food in a traditional country-style restaurant. Excellent lunch menu with constantly changing dishes. Great specials all week long. We like to go there when we don't feel like cooking at home.

The food is average, a bit greasy. Upon arrival, the man handling the affairs was apparently less than pleasant. The old, classic interior gives the place a pleasant, old-fashioned atmosphere.

As always, it was delicious and the salads were regional. We'd happily return.

Food is alright. Large portions, that is a plus. But meat in schlemmertopf was pretty dry. Schnitzel however is always a good choice. Goulash soup was very salty. Service: very rude. Waiter dropped filthy knife on jacket, didn't even apologize or give us a heads up about the stain he made. We saw this later. When we ordered drinks he made us wait on purpose because "other people were waiting". Intentionally speaks only German, even when he saw we had a disabled person with us who could order for herself in Dutch (a cordon blue is cordon blue, same in Dutch/German)! And regarding payment methods: it is a cash-only restaurant. Regarding it is 2025, it is not that client-friendly... Atmosphere is okay. Rude waiters make atmosphere worse. They used to make jokes all the time in the past, but since today; this was our last visit there.

We were there today with a group of about 20 people. The food was excellent. The prices were reasonable. The only minor issue was that the waitress messed up the food a bit, as we were a larger group. Very friendly service. Most main courses come with salad from the salad buffet, and there's plenty of it. On Fridays, this restaurant always has XXL schnitzel day. These XXL schnitzels are truly XXL and taste great. I highly recommend it.

All in all: Well First, the positive: The restaurant is extremely clean all around. The waiter (or manager?) was always very friendly and accommodating and often had a good saying. The food itself wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't give it a Michelin star. It's just average restaurant food. Only some of the fries were oilier than I was after three hours of exercise. Towards the end, they served the wrong kind of waffle, but oh well, not that bad. The prices are acceptable. An important note: The advertised "accessible" parking space is actually in a gravel bed, which is difficult for wheelchair users to navigate.

Reasonably priced food, friendly service, wide selection, large portions, most of the menu items also available as senior citizen portions (smaller and cheaper).

It was disappointing. The taste was lacking, and a table for six was very cramped. We were given a table for four with two extra chairs, even though there was enough room to add a small table. However, this request was dismissed, and we had to make do with a too-small table for six. For us, that's a reason not to visit this restaurant again.

Great sun terrace and delicious food

Seven of us went there yesterday. None of us liked the food. But the worst part was the waitstaff. We had to deal with three of the guys from the restaurant, and all three of them were extremely rude. I'll never go there again.

This was my second time eating here, as I really enjoyed it the first time. The food is ready quickly, even when it's busy. My favorite is the generous schnitzels with delicious sauces. Delicious food at a good price. The salad bar is a bit basic and could be improved, and some background music would really enhance the atmosphere. All in all, a great meal and definitely worth it, especially if you come for the food and not necessarily the ambiance.

We were there on August 15, 2025. The welcome wasn't particularly warm. There was very little vegetables. And the XXL schnitzel wasn't cooked properly. It's a shame; we're not used to that.

The food and the service were both good and the ambience is super nice, at least for a foreigner. What's not nice for a foreigner is to have to pay with cash. When you are about to pay, the waiter comes to you with a huge wallet. That's a shame in 2025 in an European country.

The food is, as always, superb and delicious, plentiful, and served quickly. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the drinks :/ My husband barely managed to drink two beers in two hours. When I asked, he said it was too busy. We'll just keep drinking at home...

I ordered an all-you-can-eat currywurst. The taste was okay, but unfortunately, the sausage was only lukewarm. When I ordered a second portion, it seemed to me as if the waiter wasn't happy with it; the reply was, "It'll probably take a while." After 45 minutes, I asked again, which I don't understand. The first order took 5 minutes, while this one took 55 minutes, and yet the sausage still came lukewarm and this time with much less sauce. All-you-can-eat, but not really.

We were there today for the first and last time. First, the positive. An employee (maybe the boss?) was very nice. Always had a quick joke on his lips. Very nice to our children. Prices are moderate, I'd say. That was about it, unfortunately. There were four of us: two adults and two children. The outdoor area was unkempt, as were the restrooms. The salad buffet was okay. But the carrots and beets were dried out. Four identical bottles of dressing, and no one knew what was in them because they weren't labeled. The schnitzels were very large, but a no-go in terms of quality. Tough and stringy. They were also sitting in a bath of grease on the plate. The sauces were like pudding. They were served to us 10 minutes before the food arrived, as a precaution, to cool down. We all had different ones, and they were all equally bad. There were far too few fries for three people, but that wasn't a problem because they were wobbly and undercooked. My daughter had croquettes as a side dish, but they weren't served until 20 minutes after we'd finished eating, after asking several times. I don't know what you could do wrong with frozen croquettes, but they tasted awful. Our glasses were empty for quite some time. We had to wait to see a waiter to order. There were plenty of people milling around, but we were often ignored. We didn't eat three-quarters of our food because it was simply bad. We said no when asked if we wanted to take the rest with us. Then they asked why, and I said the meat was tough and stringy. The waiter reacted very arrogantly. When we wanted to pay, they kept us sitting for another 20 minutes until they finally told us to pay inside, even though everyone else was being billed outside. Conclusion: In my opinion, not recommended. We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. You should also have cash with you because card payments aren't accepted. Oh, and we were charged an extra €3.50 for the croquettes. It's a shame, really, because this restaurant has a great location. They could make more of it.

The food was mediocre to poor. It had a bit of an aftertaste and was overflowing with flies. We had a beef steak and a Viennese schnitzel, but a peek into the kitchen afterward and our appetites were gone. The salad buffet wasn't anything special. The flexibility with payment was also poor. They didn't realize that payment was cash only, so we were sent into the village, but to no avail (everything was closed or it wasn't possible to use cashless cards). Finally, a Dutch guest asked for cash. It wasn't all friendly. I won't be back.

Friendly service; some look a bit surly, but once you speak to them, they're friendly too. The food is delicious and plentiful. The parking lot was full when we arrived, but it's also a takeout restaurant, so a spot quickly became available.

We enjoyed a delicious sandwich and a great cappuccino here during a tour. And, as is usually the case in Germany, for an excellent price.

Highly recommended. Some people here have also complained about the food, which is unfair. The restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes at a fair price and good, home-style cooking. I was skeptical at first because of the low prices, but I was proven wrong.

The schnitzel was very tasty. The sauces were inedible. I had a peppercorn schnitzel. Water, tomato paste, and flour. Then I sprinkled 10 peppercorns onto the flour.

Very nice schnitzel food and not expensive

Went today because the pictures of the buffet always look "good". It was disappointing, no atmosphere, no friendly or helpful staff. Walking buffet looks nicer on the pictures than it is in reality. 2 stars because the potatoes tasted good and the gravy of the meat dishes, meat itself had a lot of fat in it or chicken fillet with nasty lumps so a waste of money. Dessert was apple sauce with something like yoghurt and a blob of jelly. Expensive soft drink that tasted watered down. Maybe the menu is better, but for me it was the last time.

The schnitzel was truly delicious. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Friendly service and good value for money. I'll be back.

On Thursday, the shrimp were already sold out by 8:30 p.m. We had to hurry with our orders, as the salad bar is cleared at 9:00 p.m. The salads were OK. If you like large portions, you'll be full there. My schnitzel with asparagus arrived quickly. The asparagus was OK; the schnitzel had black breading, which I scraped off. The fried fat was probably a bit older... The croquettes weren't my thing, but the fried potato wedges with pork ribs were OK. After I paid with my tip, the waiter who cleared the table came. He was trying to be funny. He was waving my girlfriend's Spanish fan around and spilled a half-full glass of wheat beer all over my pants and shirt... At least he mumbled an apology and got a towel...

It wasn't the last time we were there. Delicious food and very friendly staff. The staff is also very family-friendly 😁, which is unfortunately not the case these days. They even offered to pack the food for us, as it was simply plentiful and delicious.

Das Essen ist im Landhaus Wurmtal immer sehr gut. Man kann entscheiden aus der sher üppigen Speissenkarte oder das schmackhafte Buffet eine Auswahl treffen und dazu sich am Frische- Salatbuffet bedienen. Vorab gibt es immer eine leckere hausgemachte Tagessuppe und ein Dessert zum Nachtisch. Sehr zu empfehlen sind auch die saisonalen Gerichte, wie derzeit die Spargelgerichte. Da wir in unserer Gruppe auch eine Vegetarierin haben, konnte sie sich von den Vielfalt der Selerieschnitzel mit Soße überzeugen lassen und ist eine Wiederholungstäterin . Wir kommen oft hierher und sind mit dem Essen, dem sehr freundlichen Personal sehr zufrieden. Dazu stimmt auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

The food was very bad. It was all cheap frozen food that was also poorly heated. The place was completely run down. The staff were very unfriendly. The toilets were still ice cold inside. I've never eaten such disgusting hamburgers. It's probably because of the pure pork they use here.

Extremely disappointed! Inventory old and worn. Food tastes like it was prepared, namely not at all. The advertised “Grandma’s biggest schnitzels” can’t even keep up with those from the fast food joint. No matter how BIG the schnitzels are, no one can handle us anymore. Card payment not possible, which is not up to date. It's actually a shame because the location at Wurmtal is ideal.

Great restaurant where, keep in mind, you can only pay with cash. A bit strange for these current times. Book in time during the weekends. There was room outside and fortunately we were able to continue the meal inside a little later, thanks to the hardworking and friendly staff. The schnitzels are very large as advertised and excellent. Lots of choice on the menu and the spargel I ordered was very tasty. Definitely worth it again.

Years ago this was always a well-kept restaurant and the food was always top-notch. Mega large schnitzels and delicious fries. Last weekend we went to eat a schnitzel again after many years. Unfortunately we were faced with a huge disappointment. The schnitzel was literally swimming in the sauce and was therefore completely tasteless. The fries were hard and unfortunately not tasty. I think you should put the sauce separately in a bowl and that the customer can then decide for themselves how much sauce they put on the schnitzel. Such a shame, it used to be always great in this restaurant. For us in any case never worth a visit again.

Schnitzel pounded flat to the thickness of newspaper and the size of snowshoes, with a splatter of indefinable sauce. A handful of fries for three people, and they were unfriendly to boot. The total value of the three meals was about 60 cents, if that. Definitely not worth more. Paid €30. I recommend this Landhaus Wurmtal to anyone who wants to lose weight, because it takes away your appetite for food.

Upon arrival on February 24, 2025 at 5:15 PM, we reported that we had not made a reservation and whether there was still room. The owner was looking for a place where we could sit for our 4 adults and 2 children. The food was fantastic again! Tasty and worth repeating. Better to make a reservation next time.

Lovely cosy traditional German restaurant with generous portions at a good price. Only set back is their cash only policy. Ah, and don’t be late if you want to taste complimentary salads from the buffet.

Old German cozy old brown cafe-like restaurant. My order should have used pfifferlingen (mushroom type), but just like last time, these were oyster mushrooms. And the bacon in the sauce was not there. It's a pretty big schnitzel you get there. Fries were fried for too long, therefore very hard. You can create your own salad in the small salad bar. Friendly staff. Even though we had not made a reservation, they still made room even though it was very busy.

The buffet offered a certain selection, but the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. Many dishes tasted bland or seemed as if they had been sitting for a long time. The dessert was particularly disappointing: instead of a homemade dessert, there was simply yoghurt in a bowl with a dollop of jam - bland and not very creative. We definitely expected more for the price. Unfortunately, if you value fresh, tasty food, this is not the place for you.
