It wasn't the last time we were there. Delicious food and very friendly staff. The staff is also very family-friendly 😁, which is unfortunately not the case these days. They even offered to pack the food for us, as it was simply plentiful and delicious.

On Thursday, the shrimp were already sold out by 8:30 p.m. We had to hurry with our orders, as the salad bar is cleared at 9:00 p.m. The salads were OK. If you like large portions, you'll be full there. My schnitzel with asparagus arrived quickly. The asparagus was OK; the schnitzel had black breading, which I scraped off. The fried fat was probably a bit older... The croquettes weren't my thing, but the fried potato wedges with pork ribs were OK. After I paid with my tip, the waiter who cleared the table came. He was trying to be funny. He was waving my girlfriend's Spanish fan around and spilled a half-full glass of wheat beer all over my pants and shirt... At least he mumbled an apology and got a towel...

Delicious food, more than enough and for a very good price. The Netherlands can't beat this. Make a reservation because it's always busy. Service is always great and very friendly. Only cash payment. Pinning not possible

The food was very bad. It was all cheap frozen food that was also poorly heated. The place was completely run down. The staff were very unfriendly. The toilets were still ice cold inside. I've never eaten such disgusting hamburgers. It's probably because of the pure pork they use here.

Extremely disappointed! Inventory old and worn. Food tastes like it was prepared, namely not at all. The advertised “Grandma’s biggest schnitzels” can’t even keep up with those from the fast food joint. No matter how BIG the schnitzels are, no one can handle us anymore. Card payment not possible, which is not up to date. It's actually a shame because the location at Wurmtal is ideal.

Great restaurant where, keep in mind, you can only pay with cash. A bit strange for these current times. Book in time during the weekends. There was room outside and fortunately we were able to continue the meal inside a little later, thanks to the hardworking and friendly staff. The schnitzels are very large as advertised and excellent. Lots of choice on the menu and the spargel I ordered was very tasty. Definitely worth it again.

We were there in the afternoon and had a free choice of tables and no reservations. My wife and I both ordered a schnitzel The schnitzel was really tasty and the quantity was also great. There was a bowl of fries that was easily enough for two people. The two waiters were very accommodating and the drinks came without a long wait. Years ago this was always a well-kept restaurant and the food was always top-notch. Mega large schnitzels and delicious fries. Last weekend we went to eat a schnitzel again after many years. Unfortunately we were faced with a huge disappointment. The schnitzel was literally swimming in the sauce and was therefore completely tasteless. The fries were hard and unfortunately not tasty. I think you should put the sauce separately in a bowl and that the customer can then decide for themselves how much sauce they put on the schnitzel. Such a shame, it used to be always great in this restaurant. For us in any case never worth a visit again.

Schnitzel pounded flat to the thickness of newspaper and the size of snowshoes, with a splatter of indefinable sauce. A handful of fries for three people, and they were unfriendly to boot. The total value of the three meals was about 60 cents, if that. Definitely not worth more. Paid €30. I recommend this Landhaus Wurmtal to anyone who wants to lose weight, because it takes away your appetite for food.

Die wirtung unfreundlich, kein Guten Tag, kein Tschüss, kein Bitte und kein Danke. Wir bekamen unsere Getränke und danach wurde nicht mehr gefragt ob wir nochwas trinken möchten. Essen war kalt, Haare im Fleisch und der Nachtisch purer Matsch und undifinierbar. Nie wieder

Upon arrival on February 24, 2025 at 5:15 PM, we reported that we had not made a reservation and whether there was still room. The owner was looking for a place where we could sit for our 4 adults and 2 children. The food was fantastic again! Tasty and worth repeating. Better to make a reservation next time.

We have eaten or picked up food here many times. There are good offers such as the Schnitzel Monday, the lunchtime schnitzel and the lunch buffet. The staff are friendly and the food is okay. (October 2024)

Lovely cosy traditional German restaurant with generous portions at a good price. Only set back is their cash only policy. Ah, and don’t be late if you want to taste complimentary salads from the buffet.

Old German cozy old brown cafe-like restaurant. My order should have used pfifferlingen (mushroom type), but just like last time, these were oyster mushrooms. And the bacon in the sauce was not there. It's a pretty big schnitzel you get there. Fries were fried for too long, therefore very hard. You can create your own salad in the small salad bar. Friendly staff. Even though we had not made a reservation, they still made room even though it was very busy.

I'm always surprised at how many people describe such food as "very good", "super" or even "exciting". Are they just favors or do they really not know good food? The four of us had dinner: prawns, salmon and barn schnitzel: flattened schnitzel under flabby, soft onions with frozen fries. The pieces of salmon and even the “Röstis” included were thawed frozen goods from the supermarket. Nothing, absolutely nothing, was freshly cooked. The sachet of sauce for the salmon not only looked plastic - it tasted like it too. Ok, it's comparatively cheap. But what use is that when the quality is far below average? The service from at least 2 "waiters" is unfriendly and know-it-all, very unpleasant. Only one young woman was friendly. Conclusion: Better 10 euros more per nose and a good, cooked dinner.

Feeding like a mother describes it quite well. Delicious home cooking in large portions at a very fair price. Large parking lot in front of the house and easy to reach. The only drawback is that card payment is not possible. All in all, very happy again!

Basically great schnitzel and much more, I just don't think the sauces are that good anymore, they often taste like sauces in a bag. Unfortunately, the price has also found its way up here.

11-01-2025. Just called to see if there was still a table available for 3 people to come in half an hour. Yes, fortunately that was possible. Small busy parking lot at restaurant. Nice restaurant. Friendly service and food is of good quality and yet affordable prices. Didn't (couldn't) order the XXLschnitzel. But, the "regular" schnitzel is big enough and many variations. Thanks for good service and good food.

Das Haus: Charme der 70iger, Toilette auf jeden Fall sauber-starker Chlorgeruch-Büffet : ziemlich fade Nudel/Blumenkohlsuppe, 5 Wannen mit Essen: Dampfkartoffeln, Bratkartoffeln, Gemüse mit Bohnen, Möhren, Blumenkohl, Gulaschgeschnetzeltes, kleine Schweineschnitzel in Sahnesoße, paniert zT. mit Frucht .Geschmacklich eher Kantinenessen, aber was will man für 9,50 auch verlangen ?-Lieber etwas mehr auslegen und mehr Qualität bekommen-ich kenne bessere Orte in der Nähe.

Wir waren am 1. Weihnachtstag 2024 dort. Es war richtig lecker. Die Bedienung war super freundlich, und wir haben nicht lange gewartet. Salatbuffet, bevor wir den Salat gegessen hatten kam schon das Essen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen. Ab jetzt werden wir den Mittagstisch dort öfter nutzen. Wir sind wirklich begeistert !!!!

We were there on Christmas Day 2024 with 14 people. The food was really tasty. We didn't have to wait long. The service was very friendly and accommodating. From now on we will take advantage of the lunch offer more often. Everyone was very satisfied and enthusiastic.

It was our first time there and the atmosphere was old-fashioned, pretty dark, nothing nice, everything was a little old, but everything was clean. The main room was very crowded. Typical pub character. We had reserved a table in advance, were then brought to the table quite carelessly, cards were placed on the table and asked for drinks, we weren't seated yet. We then had the buffet twice and a la carte once. It took a long time for the a la carte meal to arrive, and my companions were already on their way to the buffet for the second time. My meal was very tasty, I had a starter and the vegetarian schnitzel was also very tasty and very nicely prepared. Regarding the buffet, I can say that my companions enjoyed it. The salad bar was also okay, the only drawback was that it was fresh, there was no labeling on the dressings, which has often been criticized here. At the next table there was a discussion about the heat of the food from the buffet, which was then dismissed somewhat loudly by the waitress and there was also a dispute between the waiters, I think this can also be discussed more quietly without the guest noticing. When we wanted to pay and leave, after 15 minutes there was still no one at the table, so we went ahead to pay our bill. Our conclusion: If you don't value a nice ambience, but want to eat something good and cheap, you're welcome to stop by there.

Wir hatten uns eigentlich auf schöne frische selbstgemachte Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat gefreut. Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Schnitzel zwar groß aber kein guter Geschmack, Soße aus dem Päckchen, dazu Pommes die lahm und nicht warm waren. Mayo wurde mit 80 Cent extra berechnet. Bedienung junges nettes Mädchen war das bester in diesem Gasthaus. Wir kommen nicht mehr.

The service takes some getting used to (perhaps the gentleman is also the boss?) The young woman was probably quite friendly. The ambience at the back is not as cozy as the “old pub atmosphere” at the front. But the food was great. Perfect schnitzels and delicious fries. The salad buffet was surprisingly good thanks to the pasta salad. The vegetarian was also enthusiastic about the celery schnitzel with Champion sauce. Price performance is great! Best to reserve.

Crappy tent. We had not made a reservation, but we were given a table anyway and had 1 hour to eat, or so we were told. The owner stood there while we looked at the menu, so we quickly ordered something. Drinks and food came quickly and were thrown onto the table without saying a word. Food was okay, nothing special. We asked for dessert, there was some muttering that it would take a long time. Okay, we only have half an hour left, can we make it? Yet it was brought quickly, half placed on the table, again without saying anything and with a grumpy face. My husband paid and left a tip, but was not even thanked. When we walked out, there was no one to say hello to us. Shameful to treat guests like this!!!

Tasty and not overpriced. Offer a special every day and not just at lunchtime. The ambience could be overhauled.

Unfortunately it wasn't my case at all. The service was good and quite friendly, but the food wasn't my cup of tea at all. I had a pepper schnitzel, the sauce was very weak and it was carelessly prepared. The salad bar wasn't that great either, won't be coming back. The restaurant itself was clean, so you can't complain about that. Too bad.

The schnitzel was very thin and had more breading than meat. The paprika cream sauce was tasteless and with mushrooms??? from a can instead of peppers.

I don't understand people who give 5 stars for everything. There are much better options for eating out. The schnitzels are really thin, only breadcrumbs and the sauce is like slime. The waiter stays away from alcohol.

I'm speechless at what bad gastronomy exists! The staff doesn't even tell you the time of day. At 12:30 p.m. (it opens at 12 p.m.!) you can already see the displeasure written on your face. Perfect feel-good atmosphere. The food is carelessly "thrown" onto the plate, the sauces taste and look out of a "tetra pack". All glasses at the table are empty. Waiter looks. - Goes! In order to pay you have to literally run after the waiters. In our group of four, one person cannot eat much for health reasons. When asked to pack up the rest, the waiter comes out, puts paper plates and aluminum foil on the table and says (quote): "New law. We're not allowed to pack anything up. You have to do it yourself. Germany, stop!" I've had much friendlier service at fast food chains. Disastrous and never again!
