We were really looking forward to the evening and booked a nice place in the restaurant. When we arrived the restaurant was dark and cold, there were no guests in the restaurant, as the sun was shining we sat on the terrace, which was not what we wanted. The service was very nice and accommodating. We ordered an oven-fresh knuckle and a Wiener schnitzel. The schnitzel was ok, but the knuckle was neither fresh from the oven nor warm, the waiter made sure that the knuckle was hot, but the taste was terrible, the knuckle was not from the oven, which you could tell from the crust. For us, an evening that we wouldn't want to experience again. Only the cellar did its best. Unfortunately the kitchen is not. The food and drinks are far too expensive for the service provided here.

In short: I would like to see the Gasthaus Weiss see as my extended dining room. It tastes very tasty and hospitality is very important here. Thank you.

Spontaneous decisions often lead to the most beautiful experiences. In the short term, based on the positive reviews online, we decided to dine there and ring in the Christmas season. The selection of dishes was extremely diverse and offered something for every taste. Our meal was delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Kudos to the kitchen! The service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is reminiscent of inviting restaurants from the 70s... very nice. If anyone wants to spontaneously immerse themselves in the delicious past, this is the right place. Many thanks to the Landgasthof Enck!

I love potato pancakes! Got the worst ones ever tried today. We were there today on “Reibekuchen Day”. At 7 p.m. potato pancakes with blood sausage were already out, no problem: 3 potato pancakes with smoked salmon and horseradish were ordered. Then 2 very large and very greasy potato pancakes were served...with salmon (and it was really the best of all) and supposedly cranberries (tasted like very sweet jam) No information about the missing horseradish! When I asked where the horseradish was: it was out, the jar was empty... (answer from the boss) We paid €16.50 for a bit of salmon with a slightly less greasy edge of potato pancakes X2 and ate bread and butter at home. No discount was granted! We won't be coming back!

Ein Koch mit Leib und Seele, hier wird auch außerhalb der Karte gekocht...man muss nur danach fragen. Ich bin total begeistert von der Qualität des Essens, und freue mich schon darauf, wieder dort Essen zu dürfen.

My wife was in this restaurant to have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere - not an unusual request for an early evening. Unfortunately, after a short time we were signaled that we should clear the table because we had not ordered anything to eat and other guests would need it for dinner. This attitude is absolutely incomprehensible to me and not very hospitable, especially since the restaurant was empty. A restaurant lives not only from the cuisine, but also from the service and the atmosphere. Feeling unwanted as a guest just because you don't order food leaves a bitter aftertaste - regardless of the quality of the food (which in this case we didn't even want to try). Conclusion: Anyone who only pays attention to sales per table and not to genuine hospitality has not understood the meaning of gastronomy. We definitely won't be coming back.

The food and service are great. We have often ordered our food in advance, picked it up and eaten it at home. All highly recommended. However, when the store is full, it is noisy and conversations are hardly possible. A few hikers came in for a table and were then directed to a table with time information. Personally, I don't think it's that nice. Spaces should also be kept free for spontaneous visitors, right?

I haven't been a guest at the inn yet and, based on my experience with the service, I definitely never will be. Last Friday my mother-in-law was out with my two-year-old son in the Ruhr when he got severe stomach pain, wouldn't stop crying and didn't want to ride his balance bike anymore. My mother-in-law then asked in the restaurant in question whether she could store the walker bike in the inn for about an hour, as there was no way she could carry both of them home. The employee then replied that this was only possible for paying guests. He saw how desperate my mother-in-law was with my crying child in her arms and then became rude when she dared to ask if she could leave the bike for just a short while. I think that's an absolute nonsense and a reason for me never to want to be a guest there. She was then allowed to store the bike in the police station.

Very cozy atmosphere, delicious food (German and regional cuisine and some for <20€), friendly service, what more could you want?

I can definitely recommend this restaurant. The trip from Dresden was worth it. Delicious food (we had wild boar ragout with red cabbage and wonderfully crispy rösti with delicate cranberries in a sauce perfectly matched to the meat), very friendly, courteous, and attentive service, and a wonderful atmosphere rounded off this visit. I'd be happy to come back here again.
