Die besten Restaurants mit Deutsches restaurant Essen in Hamburg

We dined here on 9 November 2023. Sorry it's taken so long to write this review. I had made reservations on Open Table. We were staying very close by at the Crowne Plaza. We were the 1st to arrive on this evening. We were welcomed with an Amuse Bouche. Even though the receipt says Hefeweizen (Wheat Beer), I received Dunkel as requested; it was the same price. I had 2 very good ones. Other half had Korsischer Rose (wine). He started with Kuerbiscreme soup (Pumpkin Cream soup). I had a salad. For his main, he had the duck leg w/ cabbage & more. I had the Scholle Finkenwerder (a local fish) with a side of potatoes. The fish was tasty but had too many bones for my liking so I really couldn't enjoy it while I tried not to miss a bone! I would order schnitzel next time. We both passed on dessert since we were full. All in all, it was a very good meal. We thought about returning on our last (4th) night in Hamburg but decided to just get sandwiches and eat in our room and relax. The restaurant was operated by husband and wife, I think. She waited on tables, and he prepared the menu and cooked. It is a great place, especially if you're staying at the Crowne Plaza!

The ambience is admittedly nice, the food is good, but not much for the prices. Cocktails small and very expensive. Now the big minus: ordered 5 large beers, each one of which was clearly filled below the calibration mark. Not a little, but at most 2/3. The most blatant thing - despite my advice, there was no improvement after the second one. Ergo, all that remains is the assumption of the business model. Of course, you make a decent margin on drink prices. Never again for me, something like that doesn't work.

Excelent atmosphere, probably the best in town. The food is good, I had meat and it was cooked perfectly and I liked a lot the pepper and the salts.

We ate probably the two best ducks in Hamburg last night. Both the classic side dishes and the two ducks were more than perfect. As always, the service was very friendly and accommodating. We would be happy to come back

Stands or falls with the cook on duty. I've eaten very well and been served very nicely. I also experienced an absolute nightmare including operation. The latter last. What prevents me, as a Wilhelmsburg resident, from trying again.

I went to another restaurant last night and I'm still loving it! I ordered the beef steak with herb butter and potato gratin, and it was just perfect. The meat was wonderfully tender, grilled to perfection, and the gratin was creamy and aromatic - a real taste explosion.

Some time ago I wanted to have breakfast at Elvi with my husband, but unfortunately the shop was completely closed. Too bad.

We had our Christmas party there. Great location, very central and easily accessible. The food was incredibly tasty, very well prepared and large portions. Regular customer for several years. Only to be recommended!

While looking for a nice location for our Christmas dinner this year, I came across the chestnut. According to the website, reservations for the Christmas buffet will be made on December 25th and 26th. “welcome” until the end of November. So on November 17th I (i.e. mid-November) and got the following answer: Unfortunately we are completely booked. Kind regards. No salutation, no apology, no regret, no alternative offer. When I asked whether this was also for December 26th. applies, there was an even cheesier answer, with no greeting at all, not even the impersonal best regards. I would have gotten a more polite answer from any chatbot. And best of all: the website still says that reservations are still being accepted! I would never have expected such unprofessional communication with potential guests from such a traditional house! Even if you obviously don't need it because the guests are running into your place, such a tone is absolutely unacceptable. Maybe it was because I included a child. Judging by some of the other reviews here, children are extremely undesirable in the chestnut... Another reason to never set foot in this restaurant (again). When we were there years ago and it was still just called “Chestnut”, it was still ok. A complete renovation obviously doesn't necessarily mean an improvement... The competition (where I was addressed as “Hello dear Ms. F.”) went out of their way to be able to offer us remaining places. So you don't have to have to treat your guests in an appropriate, friendly manner, you just have to know what is appropriate.

Were there to have a drink... the ice cream parlor was very tasty, but so expensive that you just have to close your eyes or enjoy the beautiful ambience on the terrace with a wonderful view... that's just Övelgönne,)) For A tourist corner for us Hamburgers. The service staff was very unmotivated and short and made a very bored impression.

Sehr freundliches und kümmerndes Personal, wunderschönes, beeindruckendes und gepflegtes Ambiente °-°, leckeres Essen was ca. 45min Wartezeit hatte, das Dessert war ein Gedicht *-* sooo lecker, Preis-Leistung ist Top ✓, Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant für einen netten, entspannten und gesprächsreichen Abend ;

Very nice location, very tasty food (my favorite: Scholle Finkenwerder style) and good draft beer. Also an interesting wine list. Smart service.

If you want to eat really good German food in a relaxed, pleasant, rustic atmosphere, this is the place for you. The cuisine is unbeatable, the service is super friendly. Also ideal for groups. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We sat outside, protected. Friendly service, the Kaiserschmarrn was tasty but small.
