A fantastic location, friendly and attentive staff, and the food is fabulous. We'll definitely be back.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat spontaneously, so unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation. Despite this, we weren't rudely turned away; instead, the friendly staff simply made us wait a short while. After just six minutes, we were seated, and we received excellent service. The food was delicious and fairly priced. My expectations were truly exceeded. And we would go back anytime.

An absolute must for every Hamburg visitor!

Feels like a tourist trap. No free tap water and bottled water is very expensive. Also charge extra for sauce/mayo with dinner. Food better than expected under the circumstances and decor is fun. Very warm inside.

Food was adequate but service, especially at the end of the meal, was nonexistent. Lots of people lining up to eat and we were happy to vacate our table but could not get bill.

A great restaurant! I had a rump steak with fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were cooked to perfection. All I can say about the steak is that I haven't eaten such a good piece of meat in a long time. Ordered medium, delivered perfectly, and delicious! My compliments to the kitchen!!! A group of six people served us well and friendly service at the Schifferbörse restaurant during a busy time. I'm from Bavaria, and of course I wanted to eat fish there. There was plenty of it and it was delicious. The service was friendly and courteous. The church pews near the door were a bit hard due to the lack of cushions, and the plastic barriers from the coronavirus pandemic weren't very decorative.

We were looking for a nice dinner and found this place through online reviews. I can only say... I absolutely recommend it! I never thought there would be such a great place near the train station. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and even though we didn't have a reservation for Saturday evening, we got a table after just 20 minutes, and I have to say, it was worth it...

We waited for four quarters of an hour and even though there weren't many people, we didn't get any service at all, so we ended up leaving and finding a better place next door where everything was top-notch.

TL;DR: Not worth it! We had a reservation for 8:30 PM and arrived a few minutes early. First, we had to wait 15 minutes with about 20 other guests in winter clothes in the overheated anteroom until we were shown to our seats. It was like a bazaar. A call was made to the room to see who was "next with a reservation." Surprisingly, everyone was there. Particularly brazen pushers weren't turned away but were given their seats earlier. When we finally got a seat, the very friendly waitress came after about five minutes and took our order. Unfortunately, it turned out to be incredibly time-consuming to pour two glasses of Coke, so we only got our drinks after our neighbors at the same table (who had ordered after us) and after our appetizers arrived upon request. The food arrived reasonably quickly, although the order in which the dishes left the kitchen seems to be randomly selected. The food was okay, but not worth the price. Unfortunately, the Dalat dressing was tasteless, and the breading on the otherwise wonderfully souffléd schnitzel was soggy. The ambiance is nice, but we didn't see much of it from our table. Also, some tables are shared. At least we didn't hear much of the noise from the crowds. All in all, it was still okay, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

A pleasure 2 years ago, never again today. It's a shame, the fries were oversalted, the salad was dripping with vinegar dressing, the cauliflower schnitzel was dripping slightly with fat and the apple juice peel tasted like water.

The food was ok, but not outstanding. The atmosphere is quite nice. The waitress rolled her eyes when reordering and her tone was borderline rude, the men at the bar were constantly playing with their cell phones. The drinks were placed on the table for us by a young man without saying a word... we had the impression that people don't really feel like entertaining guests or working here...! We therefore do not recommend the restaurant. What is perhaps interesting is that an older gentleman spoke to us before entering the restaurant. He said this restaurant was just a tourist attraction and, as a former dock worker, he recommended the Nagel restaurant to us. There was still "real food" there.

Absolute tourist trap. The facility looks nice and the map sounds good, but that's about it. Unfortunately, there was ready-made food at too high a price. It was edible, but far from good.

The restaurant is visually great, really nicely done on the inside, but this also affects the seating comfort. I think seat cushions in a dark color would not harm the charm of the restaurant and would significantly increase the seating comfort The waitresses were friendly and accommodating from start to finish. The food is good, but for the price of just under €23 for a pork schnitzel with fries, fried eggs and North Sea crabs, I no longer expect convenience products. The schnitzel and fries were frozen, the crabs were unmarinated and unseasoned, only the fried eggs and the cucumber salad seemed "handmade". The slightly higher price here probably comes more from the location at the train station than from high quality or good craftsmanship.

Grade: 1 – with an asterisk! The ambience? Just to fall in love with! Admittedly, when you come in you briefly think you've accidentally stumbled into the pirates' storage room - it's pretty dark. But as soon as you sit, chat and feel comfortable, you realize: That's part of the charm! It feels a bit like being on board an old wooden ship - only without the seasickness. After a few drinks, the floor even starts to shake. Authentic, right?

Ate better in Hamburg. The soup portion was very “clear” for the price. Unfortunately, the Finkenwerder plaice was just dripping with oil. Only the fried potatoes and the cucumber salad were very tasty. It's just a tourist spot at the train station... unfortunately nothing more.

Too loud, too narrow and far too hard benches. Service very nice. 👍🏼 Food has always tasted good so far, but yesterday it was just enough. Guys, you can't sell a salad for €17 that's almost entirely made up of green leaves. The menu says WITH cucumber and tomatoes, but I had 2 small cherry tomatoes (4 halves) in the salad and NO cucumber!! NO!!! The garden should say “it may contain traces of cucumber and tomato.” So I've never had his cheekiness. So I won't be coming back again. 17€ for green leaves and a few nuts?? You really have a bird. 😤🤬

I did not know what to expect when I ordered the Labkaus and I have to say that it was very tasty, the meat and potatoes come in the shape of minced and mash mixed together so it has a bit of shepherd's pie feel to it, the beetroot and the eggs are a nice addition and the pickled herring was very tasty. The staff was attentive and accommodate my lack of German with good English skills

We were there on a Friday evening without a reservation and were assigned a nice seat after a short wait. The staff was really friendly and in a good mood despite the many guests. The menu is digital. If you don't have a smartphone with you, it's no problem, then you'll be given a tablet. You have your drink in no time and your food shortly afterwards. Deliciously prepared and the portions are impressive!! I had matjes the housewife style. 3 thick, large matjes fillets with no run-of-the-mill sauce but fresh sliced ​​apples with onions with yoghurt. No mayonnaise !! And the fried potatoes are greasy but super crispy! The noise level is already immense! Best reserve.
