An extremely beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service didn't suffer despite the large number of guests; everyone was always well looked after. It was a bit noisy, but you could still have a good conversation. I would recommend it to everyone and would happily go back myself.

Great restaurant. Great atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and reliable. Our food was good. The fries were the only thing my wife and I weren't happy about. There were six of us. Overall, it was okay. We'll definitely go back when we're in Hamburg. Oh, by the way, the table was for about eight people and it was wobbly 😉 (but that's probably how it is on the high seas 😁)

Without a reservation (as it turns out, we were incredibly lucky), we went to Schiffersbörse. It's a traditional German restaurant run by hardworking people who know exactly what to do and when, and they do it all in a friendly manner. I ordered Bombay Bites as a starter, an unusual dish on this menu, but very tasty. For the main course, I ordered the rump steak, and my wife ordered the cod fillet with creamed spinach. The rump steak was beautifully cooked medium, accompanied by delicious fresh green beans with bacon and real fried potatoes, just the way they should be, but unfortunately becoming increasingly scarce. The cod fillet was deliciously cooked, and the spinach was also very tasty. Definitely recommended, but make sure you make a reservation. At one point, there were over 40 people in line, so it's helpful to have a reservation. A real winner for me.

The original Wiener Schnitzel was great

Cool location. I wasn’t much in the mood for fish but ordered it anyway, and was happy. Fun to try the local beers. Not a big fan of the soda/beer mix but it seems to be popular here.

We were there when it was quite hot in Hamburg, unfortunately inside the restaurant no AC and was same hot or even hotter than outside. Otherwise, no issue and the food is very good.

A bit dark when you're immersed in the world of the Schifferbörse (especially when it's still light outside 😉). The extremely friendly service and the delicious food from the daily special (zucchini risotto) remain fondly in our memories! I ate every last pine nut, so I didn't manage to take a photo.

Rather unassuming from the outside, but all the more impressive inside. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and every corner is a real eye-catcher. The small berths, the benches, the sailing ships, and the entire interior decor. You can access the menu by scanning a QR code. I really like that, too. It's straightforward yet varied. The service is very friendly, attentive, and fast. The food is delicious and Hanseatic. Regional specialties that are the perfect way to end or start a city tour.

Great atmosphere, delicious food. Really reasonable value for money! The only minor drawback: Despite the few tables being occupied, we waited a long time for our order to be taken at the beginning and always had to ask a waiter. After that, the service was otherwise always good.

We visit the Schifferbörse every time we're on holiday in Hamburg. It's one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Both the service and the food are always excellent. The house rum liqueur is a dream. We always enjoy coming back.

Very nice restaurant with great food and stylish ambience

The internal decoration is one to the highest points of this place. In front of the Central Station. The waiters are surprisingly kind and efficient. We order a burger of the house, but I would recoment to follow their suggestion. The Weiss beer is very good. Toilets are available and clean.

A fantastic experience at the Schifferbörse! As soon as you enter, you notice that great importance is placed on the atmosphere – maritime, cozy, and stylish at the same time. I would particularly like to highlight the service: our waitress was not only attentive but also incredibly warm. You felt welcome at all times; she always had an eye for detail and was immediately available without ever being intrusive. That's my idea of perfect service! A waiter was also there and seemed very friendly; he even came over to us, even though he had so many tables to serve. The food was also a culinary highlight: the dishes were fresh, excellently seasoned, and attractively presented. I can especially highly recommend the fish dishes – you can taste the quality immediately.

Great restaurant with beautiful decor. We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. We had two fish dishes, and both were truly excellent. The daily special, pike-perch with sweet potato mash, was a dream. Personally, it was the best mash I've ever had; refined with ginger, a wonderful taste experience! Typically North German and simply delicious! I had the Pannfisch – perfectly fried fish fillet on a creamy mustard sauce with crispy fried potatoes. Everything was fresh, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The cucumber salad on the side was light and perfectly complemented. Remember to book a table. Really good food and good service. However, we were forgotten when we had to pay, so we waited 15-20 minutes to get the bill. But the staff was incredibly friendly and apologized.

We arrived at this wonderful restaurant without a reservation and were seated immediately. The place is beautifully decorated, making you feel like you're on a ship from the 17th or 18th century. The service is very friendly and attentive, and in addition to the good selection of dishes, they also offer a recommendation of the day. The food was excellent and tasted delicious. We will definitely return on our next visit to Hamburg.

The decor of this restaurant is really cool because it has a theme. It feels like you're on an old pirate ship, really well done! Much nicer than a conventionally decorated restaurant. Even though it can get busy, you're not bothered by noise from others because they've strategically placed transparent panels. More restaurants should do that. The staff is very friendly, but often not attentive. Because of this, it sometimes takes a while to get served. The water we got was lukewarm, not cold. The salad, which came with our meal, was also lukewarm. The fries were delicious, but the thing we came for, the Wiener Schnitzel, was tough. And yet, you pay almost 28 euros for it. The crème brûlée was good, though. All in all, I was a bit disappointed and won't be returning anytime soon.

If you're visiting Hamburg and want to try local delicacies, you can't miss the Schifferbörse, in my opinion. The atmosphere is fantastic - very rustic. The food is delicious, fresh, and of high quality (herring, plaice, crab, etc.). And thanks to the waiter, who provided super charming service, we've now stocked up on Helbing for our return home in the south. 😁👌

The Schifferbörse is located right next to the main train station and is rather unassuming from the outside. Inside, you'll be surprised by the old-world ambiance and antiques. Excellent service, and the food is a true feast for the palate. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good Nordic cuisine!

I ate here with my children for the first time today. A wonderful ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food. I spontaneously booked a table two hours in advance.

Unassuming from the outside, the restaurant is a very pleasant surprise upon entering. A wonderful ambiance with a great maritime decor. The service was extremely friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and the price was perfectly reasonable. We would gladly return here on our next visit to Hamburg.

This was our first time dining at the Schifferbörse Hamburg. Located right next to the main train station, this restaurant is easily accessible even without a car. The size and quality of the food were very good, justifying the higher price. The service was also excellent. Conclusion: Delicious food, great service, and an interesting ambiance made the evening a memorable experience. We would be happy to return.

We had the herring, which was delicious and freshly prepared. The menu offers a good selection of fish and meat dishes, as well as vegetarian options. The prices are reasonable for the location and the quality of the food. The service was friendly. We were there for dinner in the late afternoon. I can imagine it can get quite busy in the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very colorful place. Large hall. No air conditioning, but not stuffy because of high ceilings. Excellent cuisine. Portions are large, one dish is enough for a hearty meal. Prices are average for such a place. There are people, but I think you can always find a seat. I recommend!

Atmosphere is amazing and food was very good, despite the staff getting our orders wrong. Once we want to pay, we were informed we have to give tips and that it is customary to leave 10%. We felt forced and gave tips. We checked online afterwards, and realize it is not a compulsory thing, as the staff informed us. For this experience it left us with a feeling of getting scammed at the end after a nice meal.

It's OK with a reservation in the evening, but it might be difficult without one. The food and drink selection is excellent and tasty. The service is professional and attentive. We'll be happy to come back.

It was very crowded and lively, better suited for a pub night than for families with children. We only had to sit and eat for 60 minutes. We got our food after 15 minutes. After 45 minutes they took the plates and asked if we wanted dessert. They apparently thought we would eat dessert in 5 minutes? The food was ok, but no more. Overall it felt quite tasteless. High prices.
