Cozy restaurant with a central location. We had booked a table which we were told we could only have for 1.5 hours. Unfortunately, it took an hour before we got the food served. The food tasted fine but the portions were not large. I got pannfisch which consisted of 2 very small fillets, mustard sauce and braised potatoes

Unfortunately, in a great maritime atmosphere, only mediocre cuisine. The Hamburg panfish was treated to just two pieces on plenty of fried potatoes as a filling side dish. Because there wasn't enough mustard sauce, it wasn't much fun. If the service had been a little more on point, we would definitely have drunk more and stayed longer. A reservation is recommended here as the restaurant is frequented by many tourists.

We were completely impressed by the shipping fair in Hamburg! The ambience is unique and, with its maritime flair, conveys a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food is particularly noteworthy: every dish was of excellent quality, tasted great and was lovingly prepared. A real highlight for everyone who appreciates good food and great service in a special environment. Absolutely recommended!

We chose a restaurant that was completely unknown to me as the location for our Christmas dinner this year. And I can say, top notch in all respects. There were 13 of us in total for dinner. Everyone received their food at the same time. From the half duck to the cod burger, the dishes were top notch. Very well prepared and tasty, I was told, I had the Jägerschnitzel myself, everything was great. The restaurant can be recommended without reservation.

The slightly different restaurant. We had a delicious meal there and the waiters were quick and always helpful. Ordering is done using a QR code at the table, which didn't work for us. The waiter immediately brought us a tablet where we could then choose our food. It's quite loud because it's very big, but the ambience is great.

Food and desserts were generally very successful, but I liked the pannfish plate the most. We came to Hamburg for a concert and found the Schifferbörse, a restaurant that should actually get twice as many stars for its ambience. The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly. I can only recommend it, keep it up

Since we come from further away, we were happy to stop there, but that wasn't possible. So we decided to go to the Holiday In for dinner, which was a very good alternative.

The two of us had dinner today. Nice atmosphere with lots of wood and ship decorations. Balanced menu, not too big but there is something for everyone with classic dishes here in the north and good alternatives. Very attentive service that is also well informed. When we asked about regional breweries, the very courteous waiter brought over two sample beers. The food was also very tasty, the beef was fried to perfection and the Wienerschnitzel was like a cloud with a wonderful buttery taste. As a former chef, I can only recommend this restaurant. Reservation may be recommended.

A very atmospheric place with tasty food. You will need a reservations, as this place is very popular also on week days. The interior is a highlight, it is done in the old ship style. The light is a bit deem, but it is a nice ambient overall. The good selection is good with lots of fish (as expected). Nice herring as a snack. Good fried fish and the steak was also very good. The food comes out fast, the service is with good speed considering how many people they have. The place is near the main train station, thus it is easy to get here, but challenging to park. A great place to have a dinner at.

A restaurant in Hamburg as I imagine it. A super cool decoration and great atmosphere. You feel like you are in an old ship and can really feel at home. The food was super tasty. My plaice Büsumer style was really fantastic and super cool. The service tried to give us the best experience. Even when something went wrong, they solved it well and did it well.

Small portions. I think the schnitzel was frozen food. I almost couldn't eat the sauce. I didn't even like the fries. They put something in the sauce that doesn't belong there. The fries also taste like curry or something. Somehow it wasn't really German cuisine at all, it just looked and tasted kind of Indian or something. The ambience is amazing, but unfortunately the food is terrible for us.

Thanks to a lot of luck, we got 2 seats without reservations. Food was excellent, herring fillet with bacon beans and bacon fried potatoes. Service friendly and quick. The only negative point was that there was a very high level of noise during our visit, which I, as a hearing-impaired person, could hardly stand.

The food was very good, and the arrangement of the food was a feast for the eyes. Special requests were noted without comment and served exactly as they were. Rustic atmosphere throughout the large dining room. There is a lot to discover. The only point I have to complain about is that there is no menu, you scan the menu with your cell phone. Yes it is sustainable, but when it comes to food I want to talk to my companion and not have to fight with the cell phone at the table again.

Very solid northern German food (with a few random European things like bruschetta...I would stick with the German dishes) and friendly service in a uniquely decorated interior! Might seem a bit touristy but I felt that it was worth it! Portions are generous, too! Recommend making reservations.

We showed up with no reservation but were still lucky to get a table. The food was delicious, we had fish and cauliflower stake, which was probably one of the best vegetarian dishes I've ever had. The restaurant is very nice, sea-themed, and the service was also great!

An impressively beautiful restaurant with magnificent ship models and wall paintings The service team is friendly and motivated, professionally fast. The fish dishes are seasoned unimaginatively, with a lot of binding agents in the sauces and are too expensive for that. The crowds are enormous, and without a reservation you can't do anything - at least on the weekend.

The food was very tasty and the service was friendly. However, I have to deduct one point: the wooden benches are very uncomfortable and you sit with your back very straight, which doesn't make the visit particularly pleasant. This definitely needs to be improved.

We were there around 5:30 p.m. and just managed to get a table without a reservation. The food and service were outstanding! When we left there were a lot of people waiting outside for a table. Therefore it is better to reserve in advance.

Impressive like the belly of a ship. Dark but homely, lots of ships and ship accessories to marvel at. Food very good. The perfect first place for a visit to Hamburg, also very close to the main station.

Beautifully done restaurant, as the name suggests, in Hanseatic style. The food was very good. The menu can be viewed via a QR code and will only be made available in “paper form” upon request. We were a small group of several people and we wished that the waitress had come to the table more often so that we could have ordered drinks or something similar. The ambience is very good, which also invites you to linger for a longer period of time.

The Schifferbörse is a restaurant with a really great ambience, delicious food and very nice service. But 5 stars are only given if allergens are on the menu or the staff are aware of them.

The restaurant looks really great, great ambience. Looks like you're in an old ship. The service was super friendly. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed by the food; as soon as I ordered it, it was there 5 minutes later. I had a Wienerschnitzel with fries and cucumber salad. The fries tasted like curry, the cucumber salad was sweet and the meat tasted like nothing and was in oil. It was okay, but not anymore. I think it's not a good value for money here. Almost €27 was too much for what I got.

I came here during a training course in Hamburg because of the rustic facilities. And actual, quaint and beautiful. Plus incredibly fast and friendly service. The food was good, I had the Schitzel Seeemannsstyle, but it didn't blow me away. Nevertheless, overall a very good experience, I would like to come back.

I highly recommend this restaurant. You get hearty German cooking. I tried the Heering for starters, Schnitzel for main, and ended with the Apfelstrudel. My wife had fish with beetroot. It was just fantastic. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. Do yourself a favor and go here. I recommend making reservations.

If this review was based on my experience alone it would be a 1 but my partner enjoyed her meal so it’s a 3 (generous in my opinion) We had a booking at 19:00 and arrived on time but were then ignored by the waiters for a short time, which was a slightly annoying start. When we got to our table it was obvious it was meant to be a shared table which didn’t bother us as the next guests turned up just as we were finishing. The menu is accessed by QR code which is fine if you have a good cell phone connection but we didn’t so the waiter came back with a tablet so that problem was fixed after a bit of a delay. I ordered the weiner schnitzel. I was expecting a fried crumbed piece of veal. What I was served was a borderline firm piece of veal coated in a flaccid and flavourless batter that was not improved with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Totally disappointing. The chips and cucumber salad were ok. My partner’s fish was reported as well cooked and tasty. The wines were ok. A restaurant that aims to be special in cooking meat should really do better than this. I have been served schnitzel in batter before and I sincerely hope I never am again In summary, don’t hesitate to try other dishes here but if you want schnitzel cooked properly go to Nagles pub down the street where they do it very well

We were here in the evening to say goodbye to a company event and had also made reservations and ordered food. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't know who had ordered what and there was a lot of mix-up. This led to some resentment. Unfortunately, the tables were separated and you couldn't talk together. The food was rated differently by colleagues, but never outstanding. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that attentive when it came to the drink requests. And afterwards there were uncertainties about payment. The ambience is very dark for our taste, but perhaps someone else might describe it as cozy and therefore a matter of taste. The event did not have the desired conclusion due to poor coordination. Maybe it was just an unfortunate set of circumstances or new staff.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, when you come in you feel like you are in another world with the wooden paneling and the ships. We ate Plaice Büsumer style and Pannfisch, both of which were very tasty. For dessert, the delicious churros.

The ambience is very nice. The food was good, except for the peppery Labskaus. The waitress who served us the food was very friendly. After dinner, we didn't want coffee or dessert. From then on it became noticeably less friendly. We had already paid once and just wanted to finish our drink in peace. Another waiter came and said that since we had already paid, we should leave. The table would already be reserved. So we downed our drink and left. I'm just wondering what would have happened with the reservation if we had ordered dessert. It felt like being kicked out to us. This mass processing is not recommended.

Hamburg Schifferbörse – Nice location, but not a relaxing experience We were at the Schifferbörse with a large group of 20 people and were looking forward to a nice evening. The ambience of the restaurant is really great - maritime and stylish, which immediately creates a special atmosphere. You feel like you have been transported back to the historic seafaring era, which gives the restaurant a unique touch. The food was good, no question. The menu is rather clear, which has its advantages as you are not overwhelmed by too many choices. However, the prices are in the upper range, which is probably what you would expect given the quality of the food and the location. One downside, however, was that the cosiness fell by the wayside that evening. After enjoying our meal and being in a relaxed mood to order a few more bottles of wine, we were politely but firmly informed that we should leave the restaurant as the next reservation was already waiting. That ended the evening abruptly and unfortunately left a somewhat bad aftertaste. With a large group that certainly brought in a corresponding amount of sales, it would have been nice if we had been given more time to linger. Conclusion: Nice location with good food, but unfortunately not quite ideal for a relaxed evening with a larger group. If you want to sit and enjoy in peace for a longer period of time, you should clarify beforehand exactly how much time you have available.

If you want to try some good schnitzels near Hamburg Train Station, this would be a good place to go. The restaurant has an amazing maritime theme decor and lots of beautiful model ships. One thing I don't like is the lighting is a bit dark. I tried their Wiener Schnitzel, which comes with good portion sizes and nicely cooked pommes frites. The restaurant is conveniently located, and is easy to find as it is directly opposite the train station.

We were here today with 15 people for food and drinks. We made reservations in advance. We can't understand all the 1A great reviews on Google! 50 minutes wait after ordering for the food to arrive When we arrived there wasn't as much going on as there was while we were waiting Some of the food wasn't right. After asking the cellar whether the food was good, we said that some of the food wasn't right. Waiter's statement: then you're out of luck. We then said again that some of the food wasn't right. Then he sat up and apologized shortly afterwards. We were offered a schnapps as an apology. Our meals averaged €25+. In our opinion, absolutely unprofessional service! Location is great, cleanliness is a given But not again for us

We were here for the first time and loved it. The reception by the service was very friendly and warm so that we immediately felt at home. The rustic and really impressive ship ambience was added. The food was very tasty, we had very tasty crab soup, pan fish with mustard sauce and rump steak with beans. All dishes were very tasty and the rump steak was on point. The prices are reasonable for the quality and also the portion size. A clear recommendation from us if you are in Hamburg.
