Very cozy restaurant, so you think you are at home. Good service and delicious food. Good selection, there is something for everyone! Always worth a visit when you are in Hamburg.

A little pearl near the harbor, Miniatur Wunderland. You can quickly eat or drink something delicious. Price-performance ratio is great. I can only recommend it.

Great atmosphere, good service and good food !

Food is more expensive depending on the location (fish soup, small bowl €8, bum with peste, some vegetables and some parmesan €11.50, draft beer 0.4l €5.45). Very friendly staff. According to my feeling, we had to wait a little too long for everything (when assigning a table, when ordering drinks, when ordering food, when paying), which was also due to the fact that only 2 waiters were responsible for the entire 3 guest rooms (on a Saturday Midday! ). Drinks were expressly ordered separately from the food with the reasoning "then the food comes before the drinks and that wouldn't be nice" 🤔. While I was waiting, I would have preferred to order everything straight away. The food was good and fresh, but not a highlight for the price. But that's a matter of taste.

The service was simply top! Our waiter Miguel was funny, relaxed and open. We didn't have to wait long to be served and the food (hamburger) was ready after a few minutes. Despite the full house, we felt in good hands and looked after. Price-performance was also very good.

We were there as a group (20 people) in the evening, very nice and uncomplicated reservation by email, delicious food, great location next to the Elbphilharmonie, we were served very quickly, extremely friendly service, payment was also uncomplicated (it was asked in advance by email, whether we as a group want to pay a total bill or each person individually). The schnitzel with fries tastes very tasty

We just had a drink at the bar, and despite the fact that the restaurant was full, there was a very good atmosphere among the staff.

The food was excellent. The fried fish with the potato salad is a recommendation! Unfortunately, the only downside is the waiting time for the drinks. And the waitress's attentiveness to the empty glasses on the table too. But that wouldn't stop me from going again, otherwise the evening was a complete success👌🏼

Super fast service! Drinks and food arrived in no time, despite the store being relatively full.

We came here around lunchtime and the restaurant was relatively empty. At first we were unsure about this, but the reactions quickly convinced us. We ordered “a little bit of everything.” Meat, burgers, fish. Everything was very good. The meat used for the burgers was prepared very tender and tasteful. The mushroom sauce was also convincingly good. The service was also very nice, very humorous too. There was a small mishap where a plate fell on the floor, but this was firstly cleaned up very quickly and the "replacement" came 1-2 minutes later. Overall, the food came very quickly. Could be because the restaurant was very empty, or because they simply prepare the food extremely quickly. The ambience is also very nice. A quiet rustic look with nice seating areas and good music playing in the background. Overall, highly recommended!

The food was very tasty and not cold! Price performance very satisfied!

We were there a week ago and I had the fish dish with fried potatoes. Fish & sauce were great. Unfortunately, the whole thing was hidden by the fact that the fried potatoes were lukewarm and the oil dripped down when you picked them up with a fork. Probably pre-cooked food kept warm under the lamp as quickly as it arrived at the table. According to him, my friend's burger was very good.

Have eaten here twice now and haven't been disappointed so far. The food was always well prepared and we enjoyed it. The service was very courteous and nice the first time. Since we were last here in summer, the sliding doors were open. This means you can hear a lot of the noise from the street. If you can live with that, you get good food and service.

The portions were good and the price was reasonable

Cool place, well, I was impressed by the burger they have with Doritos and jalapeños, which was spectacularly good, and also by the location. The price is within the norm and the waiters are very attentive and very friendly and above all very fast, just as the girl on the free tour advised and communicated to us.

Situated centrally in the harbor of Hamburg, Germany is a classic and cozy restaurant called Heimathafen. From the exterior the restaurant appears unassuming yet inviting, plenty of patrons sat enjoying their food and drink. Despite traveling with a larger group–6 to be exact– we were seated almost immediately. A bright and cheery woman led us to our table and introduced herself as Heike. Absent was any sense of annoyance or irritation for our lack of knowledge in the German language. She quickly provided us with menus in both English and German, as the english version did not include the drink and dessert menu, nor any prices. Dim lighting and painted red walls offered a warm and comfortable atmosphere, especially paired with the cushioned booth that hugged the corner where we were seated. “Wonderful choice”, Heike remarked with an approving nod and smile upon my request for an Aperol Spritz. The value of the drink was only beaten by its flavor, proving to be an amazing start to the meal. I don’t know of anywhere else, in Europe or the United State, where one could find a drink so delicious for less than $7 USD. The rosy drink allowed me to punctuate my meal with small sips, swapping to try each other's drinks, and great conversation. The menu itself had plenty of choices for vegetarians and carnivores alike, while not overwhelming you with options. I settled quickly on a classic German dish I have never tried before– saftiges schweineschnitzel– which translates to “juicy pork schnitzel”. And juicy it was. The thin pounded pork held reams of flavor encased in a delicately crisp breaded crust. A lemon wedge provided the perfect amount of acidity when juiced over the fillet. While this delectable piece of meat could stand perfectly well on its own, a nicely sized dish of creamy mushroom sauce ushered in another world of flavor and texture. The slivers of potato accompanying the schnitzel were seasoned to perfection and exactly the right amount of crisp on the exterior with a smooth, buttery inside. The food was delicious, and after a long day of exploring the city hit just the right spot. It was almost too easy to join the clean plate club. All the dishes came out quickly and were obviously crafted with care and skill. Between the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, fantastic service, and tasty eats, it's difficult to find a flaw in this classic restaurant. If you ever find yourself in the heart of Hamburg, I cannot recommend Heimathafen enough.

The food was really delicious, the atmosphere was very cozy and the waiter (Miguel) who served us meant we didn't miss anything.

After a short research we came across this place and decided to have our dinner there. We were warmly welcomed and served quickly. The schnitzel was good, but not completely satisfying. It could have been a little crispier. Nevertheless, it was a successful evening for the three of us and we moved on satisfied. PS: The ambience was/seemed too loud at times. Otherwise the restaurant was very nicely decorated. PS: However, my companion was a bit disappointed with the medical facilities as they were very off-putting as they were very dirty.

A pub is a pub... unfortunately the cleanliness is a bit off. You can eat, but there's no rush

Really good, tasty schnitzel, would have liked to eat two! The food came extremely quickly. About 10 minutes and we were there once when it was empty and once when it was packed. No difference in waiting time! We were served by Miguel and the service was great. Very nice and patient, even with special requests! Definitely recommended!

Mass processing, the food actually came after 2 minutes. We didn't even have the drinks yet, they came much later. It was also very loud.

Food poisoning! Stay away. The food people ordered came within minutes, making me question if the food was being made to order. I had the Hamburg style fish. Late at night I woke up to horrible bowel movements and then threw up the food I ate. THE FOOD IS NOT FRESH.

Delicious food at fair prices Near the jetties

After a visit to/at the port, we head to the home port. Quite a small menu, but probably a lot of it freshly prepared. Prices quite moderate for this location! And very well attended, reservations are recommended!

Unfortunately not recommended. The food came in 3 minutes, so it wasn't freshly prepared, but made in advance and then just put on the plate. We had burgers with fries and fried fish with potato salad. Only the fries were ok. The rest don't. In addition, the room (adjoining room) where we sat was much too warm. The purest sauna.

Nice restaurant in itself, but the street directly in front of the door is a bit annoying. But Hamburg. Unfortunately the zucchini were bitter. Even after feedback, it was only assumed that they didn't want to pay. In order not to start a fight, we paid and left. The result was a stomach ache overnight. The second dish (goat cheese salad) was quite simple but delicious.

The food was served unusually quickly after ordering, which initially didn't leave a good impression. In addition, other guests at a neighboring table received their food before their drinks - an experience that I had never experienced before. The schnitzel with fried potatoes was okay, but an additional €2.60 was charged for the pepper cream or mushroom sauce that was ordered separately. That wouldn't be a problem in principle, but it was clearly a convenience product, which made the price-performance ratio disappointing. Unfortunately, the BBQ burger wasn't convincing: the meat seemed quite bland in terms of taste, and in addition to the BBQ sauce, there was also a tomato sauce that covered everything else. We therefore decided not to tip, which obviously wasn't well received. My wish to have a nice day was only followed by a brief “thank you.” Even on the way out there was no greeting from the other employees. In summary, there is clear scope for improvement, especially when it comes to the quality of the food and the service. The location was good, hence 2 stars. You can eat very well in Hamburg, but if you're a bit demanding, look for somewhere else.

Located right on a busy street, lots of seating outside or at the fully open window. Not very many dishes but the schnitzel was tasty.

We felt very comfortable. The service was friendly, competent and very attentive. The food came quickly and everyone enjoyed it very much. I had the goat cheese burger with fries and salad - soooo delicious! Can only recommend the restaurant!

Unfortunately we cannot rate the food, which we would have liked to have done. My husband and I visited the restaurant last night and were assigned a table for two by one of the waiters. That was it, because from then on we were consistently ignored by this waiter, while all the guests around us were served by him. Even after we made ourselves known again, he didn't even look at us. Finally, after 20 minutes, we left the restaurant hungry and really pissed. What shabby behavior!!! A very disappointing start to an evening that we ended up enjoying in the Elphi.

Tourist rip off... Bottle of still water almost 8€ Bottle was already open and the water tasted like tap water. I guess you can't get your throat full enough. Food, well... Let's put it this way; way too expensive for what you get. For potato salad that tasted like nothing and a veal schnitzel that was far too small for the money; maybe 40 g, about 22€... Well, we're definitely not coming back

We were in this great guesthouse on our last vacation. It is simply beautiful and the service and food are fantastic. We were there with two wheelchairs, which was no problem at all. We will definitely visit the restaurant again next time we stay. 🤩

Through my stay so far in Hamburg, I have only encountered kind, gentle and approachable local people until I came to this restaurant. One of the waiter was rude and disrespectful to me and make me feel unwelcome for reasons only he knows.

Get a seat straight away during the week without a reservation, friendly service, uncomplicated. Very tasty home cooking, which we didn't have to wait long for. Again any time.
