Was here with friends and everything was great! Recommendation!

We had our Christmas party there. Great location, very central and easily accessible. The food was incredibly tasty, very well prepared and large portions. Regular customer for several years. Only to be recommended!

Food is good value for money. Delivery is faster than most places around the area. Service and friendless of the staff could definitely be better. If you are looking for a quick dinner in your way to the port area it's an option. If you are looking for fine dining better keep walking several blocks

I don't understand why this restaurant gets five stars....... You deserve at least six stars. It was MEGA with you, special thanks to André, your service alone is worth 6 stars and it was stated directly when ordering what would take longer and what wouldn't. The food came very quickly even though the hut was full on Thursday evening. Simply TOP. I also have to give six extra stars to our son-in-law Sascha, who decided on your restaurant at the last moment. We'll do as we said when we said goodbye, our "threat" and we'll be happy to come back. During the evening chat in the family group I wrote "I could go back there straight away" :-). Excellent restaurant/café at the port of Hamburg within walking distance of the Speicherstadt.

A good place to eat the typical Hamburg dishes, it is not cheap, but it is not very expensive either (we know the difference in prices between Spain and Germany) all very good.

The perfect place to “strengthen” before visiting the Elbphilharmonie. Very tasty, good portions and very friendly service. (The small salad is awesome for the price!)

Delicious food, very unfriendly service from the start and she took the wrong order. Then you are told the kitchen is closed, even though the boss said the kitchen would stay open later. It was not possible to order a starter and neither could a dessert. Overall you can say that 1 star is still merciful, at least in terms of service!

Not the best German restaurant I've had during my various stays in Germany. It's still good but not enough to go back, you know what I mean? In any case, for the dish I had there (the kind of fish'n'chips), I liked the breading doubled with the egg, it gave a crispy and soft side at the same time but we are quickly disgusted, do you still see what I mean? Anyway, you got it.

Directly at the “Landungsbrücken” stop. We went to eat. We've had better fish. But the rest was delicious and tasted good. Service very friendly and attentive.

Spent a wonderful day with a group in Hamburg. We were registered for lunch at our home port. Everything was very well coordinated. Everyone had their ordered food on time. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Salad first. Afterwards everyone has their own ordered menu: fried fish with fried potatoes, schnitzel with fries or chicken strips...all very tasty. Then the delicious dessert. By the way, there was also nice, friendly service😉👍. Everyone really enjoyed it and enjoyed it. We would love to come back.

This year we were in the home port for the annual Christmas party. The restaurant is very centrally located. Easily accessible and the Baumwall stop is right in front of the door. The Elbphilharmie and the Landungsbrücken are within walking distance. After we had taken our seats with the menu displayed, our waiter came to accept our drink requests. The drinks were served, the food requests were noted, and I'm not sure, but after less than 20 minutes we already had our food. I had a Wiener Schnitzel, which is called “King Kalle” in the home port, with fried potatoes and a small side salad. I can't think of anything other than WOW. The schnitzel tasted perfect in butter, the breading bubbled well. The fried potatoes were made from fresh potatoes fried to absolute perfection and served with delicious glazed onions. The side salad was a perfectly balanced culinary delight with a delicious vinaigrette. The whole thing for €21. The selection of drinks ranges from homemade iced tea to home-brewed beer and home-made schnapps. Very impressive to see something like that on a menu. Conclusion! It was a real treat for us and it won't be the last time.

The food was very tasty. What was most impressive was the good service. The restaurant was completely full and we were prepared to have to wait a long time for our food. However, this came after about 5 minutes and was perfectly prepared. If you don't want to wait, you should reserve a table.

“An absolute highlight – an unforgettable evening thanks to André!” The inn at the home port is a real insider tip! From the warm atmosphere to the delicious food to the attentive service, everything was perfect. I would particularly like to highlight our waiter André – what a treasure! With his warm manner, his humor and his attention to detail, he made sure that we felt completely at home. He was always available without being intrusive and had great food and drink recommendations. The food was a delight – fresh, tasty and prepared with a lot of love. We have rarely felt so welcome and will definitely come back. Many thanks to André and the entire team for this wonderful evening!

I would particularly like to highlight our waiter André – he is not only friendly, but also has a great sense of humor! He made us laugh with his jokes and made us feel completely comfortable. If you are looking for a relaxed evening with good food and nice service, the Heimathafen is just the thing!

Friendly reception on site, the staff at the table is also friendly, but always in a hurry, seems a bit stressed. The restaurant is quite large, so the background noise is rather loud. Additional sources of noise due to current construction work on the outbuilding. The food comes very, very quickly, but it's not really hot, the minimum temperature is certainly not maintained. The taste was a bit unspectacular, I've had better with a "normal" burger. The prices are ambitious, and the proximity to the port is noticeable. Overall not bad, but with a lot of room for improvement.

The “hamburger pannfisch” meal was very tasty, as were the fried potatoes. Unfortunately, the old brown leather sofa was very worn out, which is why you felt like a small child who could barely see over the table. Dear restaurant operators, you should get rid of this 😄

The burgers were cold and not tasty. The Pinot Gris is inedible. Beware of a rip-off - side dishes such as French fries are served even though you didn't order any. Of course, the side dishes cost extra.

A friend told me that one of the most famous Hamburg dishes was Labskau, so I decided to give it a try. Since the sailors in northern Germany and Scandinavia were originally unable to were able to obtain food at sea, it was developed as a long-lived food. The menu includes mashed potatoes, pickled herring and corned beef with game eggs. The red beer went well with this menu.

Food was really great. Our food came very quickly and the service was very friendly. We'll be back again, but it would be nice if your order requests were taken into account. The reception wasn't that nice, I had specially ordered a table (due to my birthday) and wrote that it should be set a little romantically, if possible. Then we were taken to the table, the smallest table in the whole store and straight down the aisle to the toilets (where you wonder how you're supposed to eat there with the big plates). We were already thinking about leaving and then, when we asked, we looked for a larger table, which, after a shrug of the shoulders (from the gentleman at reception), was immediately offered to us by the nice female waiter. That's why it was saved again from 3 to 4 stars.

We were there with 7 people. The food came extremely quickly, but in our opinion too quickly. Accordingly, it tasted “done”. For some the food was lukewarm. We would have liked to drink something more, but our glasses were empty on the table for a long time and no one came by, so we paid and left. Personally, I would have been happy if they had let me finish when paying. The ambience was really cool, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to service

A very nice restaurant with a perfect menu for Hamburg. Lots of regional dishes. The service is very different. There are some very good and some very bad service staff. You have to be lucky 😉. If the food were still served warm. How was we answered: “We still have to work on ourselves”. We will try again.

Big and rather uncomfortable.....pre-order anyway!! Reservations should be made, especially for larger groups. Waiters escort us to the table. Food is good.

I can only recommend the Gasthaus Heimathafen! Super good food, very nice service! We went there twice in one weekend, without a reservation and a very short wait. Highly recommended! :-)

Cozy restaurant, with many classics on the menu. From fried fish to schnitzel, there are also burgers and salads. Super centrally located, perfect for grabbing something to eat from midday to evening if you're nearby. The waitress introduces himself directly by name, which was very positive for us!

Very close to Elphi and in the tourist center, I wouldn't have been surprised about Nepp. But not like that: food (fried fish) is definitely not a finished product, extremely tasty with a great fresh cucumber and potato salad that we licked our fingers after. Everything is super fast and super friendly and at absolutely reasonable prices. A little crowded, which is no surprise given the location and quality. I remember.

Went here for dinner today. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. I recommend making a reservation on the weekend. Food was very good, home port fried fish. It was very tasty and the portion was very good. It was exactly enough. Waiter was very nice and funny. Prices are really right. At least also a view of the Elb Philharmonie.

The restaurant Heimathafen Hamburg near the Landungsbrücken was very well attended during our visit. The service was friendly and we only had to wait a short time at the counter. The orders were taken and served quickly. Unfortunately, there were some points that were not convincing. The schnitzel was served in record time, just about three minutes after ordering - unfortunately it was very greasy. The fried potatoes with it were okay, but here too one would have hoped for more. The biggest disappointment, however, was the burger: the patty seemed pre-fried and was barely warm. It was covered with a kind of tomato pulp - chunky canned tomatoes that tasted purely sour and had no spice at all. The entire burger was barely edible and disappointed across the board. It is unfortunate that such a dish is even brought to the table in this form.

The two of us went to the restaurant as a walk-in without a reservation. When we asked, the gentleman at reception told us we could sit at the bar and wait for a free table. When we asked, he told us we would only have to wait about 5 minutes, it would go quickly. When we still didn't have a table after about 30 minutes, I made the mistake of asking politely whether he was still thinking of us or whether he still had us on his radar (we were sitting somewhat hidden behind a pillar at the bar). He then replied that he had “everyone on his radar.” He went on to say that he couldn't look into people's heads, that it would take as long as it took. This is an absolute disgrace given what we were told when we entered the restaurant. When I went back to my companion, the gentleman came back after a short while and asked us bluntly whether we even knew whether we would be the next ones to get a free table. He accused me, in front of all the other guests, of already "whining around" and explained that we could now sit down at a long table for 6 with the other people waiting. He also grinned and said that we could now discuss who should sit in the middle. It is neither my job as a guest to keep track of how many guests are ahead of me, nor do I "whine around". The behavior of this receptionist was underground, cheeky and extremely disrespectful on all levels. We often go out to eat - I've never experienced anything like that before.

It was my first time here, a very friendly environment greeted us straight away. The atmosphere is cozy, like a nice living room. The food came quickly, was well prepared, and super tasty. You can taste the freshness and the good taste buds of the chef. Thank you for the great stay. We'd love to come back!

There were three of us and we made a reservation at short notice, which is recommended. The service is super nice and super fast. Within 20 minutes we were provided with food and drink.

It was okay... The restaurant was very busy and quite touristy, and the reception could have been a little friendlier. My schnitzel came incredibly quickly. I've never had it so fast in my entire life, even in a full store. Unfortunately, it tasted like ready-made food or canteen food. You can eat it but it's really nothing special. The table service was friendly, but overall I wouldn't go there again.

The extremely crispy fried fish with potato-cucumber salad and remoulade was delicious and the waiter with the brown eyes was very accommodating. He first forgot my order and then, after apologizing several times, bought me a coffee.

We had a quick drink and some chips here yesterday and felt very comfortable. The waiter Miguel was friendly and attentive. The prices are great, especially for the location! We'd love to come back! :)

Food is more expensive depending on the location (fish soup, small bowl €8, bum with peste, some vegetables and some parmesan €11.50, draft beer 0.4l €5.45). Very friendly staff. According to my feeling, we had to wait a little too long for everything (when assigning a table, when ordering drinks, when ordering food, when paying), which was also due to the fact that only 2 waiters were responsible for the entire 3 guest rooms (on a Saturday Midday! ). Drinks were expressly ordered separately from the food with the reasoning "then the food comes before the drinks and that wouldn't be nice" 🤔. While I was waiting, I would have preferred to order everything straight away. The food was good and fresh, but not a highlight for the price. But that's a matter of taste.

The service was simply top! Our waiter Miguel was funny, relaxed and open. We didn't have to wait long to be served and the food (hamburger) was ready after a few minutes. Despite the full house, we felt in good hands and looked after. Price-performance was also very good.
