Super delicious food 😋👍 and friendly, attentive service. My wife and I ordered the ox cheek. The kids had the simple Angus beef burger 🍔 and the mushroom cream schnitzel 🐖. All the dishes were delicious. We especially enjoyed the ox cheek 🐂. 5 ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars, we'd love to come back 🙂👍 They also have Duckstein 🍺 on tap. What more could you want?

We've eaten here twice during our musical visit to Hamburg. It's simply perfect and delicious. We did have to make a reservation, but that didn't bother us after we were asked if we'd been here before. My phone number was still saved in the system. 😃😃 In short... perfect 👍👍 friendly staff, good atmosphere, delicious food, and quick service. We'll be back 💯

We arrived yesterday, Sunday, around 7 p.m. without a reservation, but were immediately offered a table by the window. Drinks arrived immediately after ordering, and the food arrived after just 10 minutes! My wife had a salmon burger with fresh fries, both delicious! I had braised ox cheek with red wine onions and sauce: tender as butter and incredibly delicious! Served with excellent fried potatoes, just as they should be! It couldn't be better 😋! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Hamburg and can highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious food, very friendly service. We had a very pleasant evening. Unfortunately, the restrooms weren't clean, so we didn't give it full marks. This is always a factor for me when reviewing restaurants. On my next visit, I'll order the delicious-looking burgers from the neighboring table.

Simply sad. The ambiance is fine, but the food seems undercooked or just warmed up. We were wondering how the food could have been ready in such a short time. It screams convenience food. The schnitzel wasn't fresh from the fryer. The potato salad wasn't homemade, but from a bucket. The hash browns didn't deserve their name and weren't roasted. The service is practically nonexistent. No one comes. You die of thirst, and if you want to pay and leave, you spend 20 minutes fighting for someone to take pity on you and come first. It's great when the food is on the table just three minutes after ordering, but I'd rather wait longer if it's freshly prepared and good. Simply sad.

We were tempted by all the good reviews. The ambiance is quaint and we liked it. The service was quick, but rather hectic and not particularly friendly. The food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Wow, it was really quick, but it made us skeptical because too quick isn't always a good thing. And unfortunately, that's exactly how it was. The schnitzel and noodles were a real disappointment. I have no idea what happened to the curry noodles, but the sauce tasted truly awful and the chicken tasted and had the consistency of the ready-made pieces of meat you buy at the discount store for on the go. A real waste of money.

We spontaneously went there for dinner at the weekend. Despite not having a reservation and having a birthday in the harbor and therefore a full house, we got a place quickly. Very very nice service. The three of us had burgers, fries, salad... everything was hot and really tasty. It was really nice.

Food was good. Service first day, not good. Service on the second day was great (Jenna). The ambience was good so far, but the construction site in front of the house is causing a lot of damage.

Food was absolutely great. I can definitely recommend the overseas citizens. My personal highlight was the schnitzel, tender as butter, super juicy and the mushroom sauce was simply wonderful! Since we sat outside, I can't say much about the ambience, but the paths I took towards the toilet seemed very quaint and cozy

Nice restaurant near the harbor with good German cuisine. The restaurant was full to capacity at 6:30 p.m. on a weekday evening. As a family, we hadn't reserved a seat, so we were able to wait at the counter for a moment until a seat became available and got our food quickly despite the rush. Prices ok. If you want to eat German cuisine, you can't go wrong here.

Now only mass processing. The veal schnitzel we ordered was there within 2 minutes. The breading not fresh, not crispy and very very greasy. The fried potatoes were lightly fried on one side, the onions were still raw. Zero points for the price.

I wanted to reserve a table for 3 people when I was informed in a nice email that you can only reserve a table for 5 people and that it would be no problem getting a table for 3 people. No sooner said than done... At the reception we were very rudely told by a gentleman that we should have reserved a table. Then we should take a seat at the counter. No communication about what happens next. A table became available and we wanted to sit at it. Again the very unfriendly gentleman came up to us and mentioned that he said which table we could use. So it was time to wait again. After about 10 minutes we were assigned a table. We had extremely friendly service there. The order was taken quickly and both drinks and food came to the table quickly. The food was a bit bland for us, but there was salt and pepper at the table for seasoning. The cocktails we ordered were very tasty.

I've always enjoyed being here, including today. But unfortunately the restaurateur seems to allow babies to be changed on the bench at the dining table... it was so unappetizing. I lost my appetite and left the place. Something like that just doesn't work!!

The ambience of the location was very nice, but when we ordered our food and it was at the table after 5 minutes, our enthusiasm was dashed. The food was lukewarm, the fish was dry and the sauces we ordered were forgotten. The food was pre-cooked and tasted like it came from a cafeteria. What was noticeable was that many dishes had the addition “subject to availability”. It feels like it was pre-cooked in a commercial kitchen and then gone when it was gone. We observed other tables who felt the same way. It's a shame, we were looking forward to a nice, cozy evening.

Really fast service. Unfortunately the drinks are a bit low in carbonation. The schnitzel was more breading than meat and I find the addition of the sauce almost cheeky given the quality. The fried potatoes were good. Dip and bread as a starter were also good.

Food cannot be freshly cooked if you receive the food shortly after ordering (less than 10 minutes). It was just pure processing like on an assembly line. This is what the food looked like and this is how it tasted. It was even more expensive.

It was overall OK. The service was very lackluster. I couldnt understand German, and they didnt spend enough time at our table to notice this so I had to use a translator app on my phone. The food arrived blazingly fast, within 5-10 minutes, which was slightly worrying. The food was also OK, nothing to write home about. They had good beer on tap, but our Martini Spritz was very watery.

The restaurant is right next to the Baumwall subway station. Even though we hadn't made a reservation and it was quite busy, we were warmly welcomed and given a table by the window. The condition introduced itself with your first name, which we really liked ☺️. The menu includes home-style food, such as schnitzel, burgers and of course fish dishes and desserts. The drinks and food came quickly and without a long wait. My plaice was fried just right and tasted great. All in all, the restaurant can be recommended and the price is not exorbitant.

Very nice staff on site who spread a good mood and serve excellent food. We'll come back here on our next short vacation.

Unfortunately, the rustic ambience and the hard-working, quick service staff cannot hide the fact that the location on the busy street is not that great. The location right next to the U3 station Baumwall is of course a big plus and once you cross the street you are immediately at the harbor/Jan Fedder Damm *-*!

After a tiring day in Hamburg with lots of great impressions, we were looking for a restaurant near the elevated railway. Our wishes were exceeded in the home port. Good food, short waiting times, quality and quantity of portions well balanced. Our waiter André was an original. With a lot of heart and a dry sense of humor, he is a real asset to the restaurant. We hope he stays with us for a long time. We give this nice restaurant directly opposite the Elbphilharmonie a 100% recommendation.

We were in the home port on Friday. Our waiter Miquel brightened our evening with his manner and was very attentive. The food was very good and we will stop at the home port again on our next visit to Hamburg.

Great restaurant right on the harbor in Hamburg, but just a great location is not enough. The waiters were rather understaffed and stressed. Once the food is delivered, you have difficulty ordering more. The menu is rather clear. Not recommended for vegetarians. The only things that are vegan are maybe the limp fries. The food definitely doesn't live up to the price. The dessert wasn't good either. Been there 3 times and been disappointed each time.

After our harbor cruise, we stopped at this restaurant for a break at noon – and it was an excellent decision! Despite the current construction work in front of the entrance, don't let that put you off, because a truly wonderful atmosphere awaits you inside. We immediately got a great seat and received a friendly welcome. The food absolutely won us over: very, very good food at a fair price. We were particularly impressed by the fact that many locals were also having lunch here – a testament to the quality and consistency of the restaurant. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a relaxed environment!

Very quick food and the waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, several things were forgotten when ordering. We reserved in advance and were asked at the entrance how long we planned to stay, 1 1/2 - 2 hours was then estimated. So far so good, after 1 hour and another half-empty beer on the table, we were told it was time to go. I won't come by again and won't recommend it.

We were just eating in this restaurant and ordered plaice twice - unfortunately a complete disappointment. We left almost all of the food behind and basically threw €60 out the window. The fish had an extremely pungent fishy taste, was full of bones and was hardly edible. The fried potatoes were completely tasteless and in places not even cooked properly. When we asked for tartar sauce, we were only served a packaged ready-made mayonnaise - really sad. A meal on vacation couldn't be worse. A real waste of money! Definitely not a recommendation.
