Everything was perfect.. the taste was not just in harmony, no, it was a symphony of tastes. I'm absolutely thrilled and a new regular customer from today.. Keep it up..really great.. Este poco de Charlottenburg, el poco que toca Kurfürstendamm es un poco como West Hampstead toca la Kilburn High Road, ni de lejos tan bien escorado como el poco alrededor del palacio. Es principalmente residencial, con un puñado de lugares agradables para comer de diferentes gustos y precios. Con nuestro fin de semana largo casi terminado, nuestro entusiasmo estaba disminuyendo y la cena de la noche no había sido planeada, pensando que simplemente nos íbamos a rockear en algún lugar, pero luego entramos en pánico pensando que como es sábado, podríamos luchar. Este pequeño bistró tiene algo de pedigrí según la web del restaurante, recetas familiares que se remontan a orígenes prusianos, pero para los novatos como nosotros, era más o menos cocina tradicional alemana como habíamos descubierto en otros lugares. Los dos somos grandes fanáticos de la comida alemana y ya había comido bien este viaje, así que pensé en probar un entrante y un plato de salchichas mixtas con puré de papas y repollo. Tomó sopa de espárragos y albóndigas de ternera. Mis champiñones blancos, probablemente de una libra de peso, empanados, con una pequeña muestra de ensalada y salsa de ajo era suficiente para alimentar una mesa de cuatro y por mucho que odio hacerlo, dejó un tercio sin comer. Mi apetito a los 59 años ya no es como antes y estoy muy acostumbrado a las porciones de Londres. Me preocupaba ahora que mi selección de salchichas fuera tan generosa. ¡Oh, Dios mío! Un Frankfurt frito, bratwurst a la parrilla y tres bángers más pequeños pero maravillosos tamaño chipolata fue de nuevo, más que suficiente para mí. El puré y el chucrut caliente sabía delicioso, y probablemente a la tradición familiar, pero mi preocupación por dejar la comida significaba que comía más de lo que era cómodo. El servicio era excelente, el ambiente estaba bien. La aplicación de traducción de Google confirmó que nuestros vecinos borrachos criticaban lo que llevábamos puesto, pero eso no es culpa del restaurante. Fue encantador, pero ten cuidado con los grandes tamaños de porciones.

Wenn sich ein 3-Sterne Koch an deutscher Hausfrauenküche versucht, dann gibt das entweder einen Reinfall oder einen kulinarischen Höhenflug. In diesem Fall eindeutig letzteres. Ein Überraschungsmenü in 5 Gängen...und wir haben uns beim Hauptgang beide für Fisch entschieden. Ein Steinbutt hatte es ebenfalls in das Lokal geschafft. Der Anfang war ein derart leckeres Rindertatar und einer abgewandelten Falafel, welche einfach nur köstlich waren. Temperatur, Garpunkt, Würzung, das war hervorragend. Ebenso die an eine Quiche erinnernde Lauchspeise mit Käse und Kartoffeln. Danach gab es einen gebratenen Kartoffelsalat mit einer umwerfende Sauce. Lerneffekt des Tages, statt Senf kann man auch mit Xanthan eine Emulsion hinbekommmen. Nach dem Fisch auf einem wunderbaren Gemüse gab es ein Dessert vom Rhabarber und zu allem eine hervorragende Weinbegleitung mit deutschen Weinen, was viel zu selten ist. Den Abschluss sollte wie immer ein Brand machen, der Sommeliere fragte ob wir experimentell aufgelegt sind, was wir immer bejahen und bot uns alternativ einen Brand aus Roter Beete oder Gurke an. Wir haben uns beide für die Gurke entschieden und dies war eine Offenbarung. Selten so etwas ungewöhnliches und intensives zum Abschluss getrunken, und gleichzeitig auch so erfrischend. Ein Lokal, wo man jederzeit mit Freunden oder auch zum Business hingehen kann. Übrigens mit angemessenen Preisen, die auch bezahlbar sind.

The food is absolutely delicious. But the service was unacceptable. We waited far too long for any orders. The waitress couldn't remember who ordered what. Both at the table and under the tables. The ambience is just like a beer garden with miscellaneous furnishings

How, why, just closed. It was a really nice restaurant with very good cuisine and a great, well-coordinated team. Simply to switch off, relax and unwind. Where can you get such a delicious meal or the nightcap served by Peter? If the thought arises again of trying to make a fresh start somewhere, we'll come. Friendly service, always smiling. The food was actually excellent! Including potato salad. This was my second time there, I missed it. I think it's great that you can mix the Maultaschen, so you can order two types.
