Nice restaurant with very good food!

Fantastic! Seven of us adults came for dinner. The wines, starters, and main courses were all delicious. The service was extremely friendly and professional! You don't often encounter such quality of service. The knowledge of the food and drinks was excellent, and the presentation was very relaxed. Thank you for that! Highly recommended!

We visited here on a trio from Dublin. The food is stunning and the service was impeccable. Wonderful, wonderful experience here. We didn't get our waiters name but he was fantastically attentive. We went as a big group of ten, and the server was very nice, very accommodating and patient with us. The food was very good, and the seasonal turnip-inspired menu is nice, overall experience was very good.

We discovered this restaurant on Open Table and were absolutely thrilled. The food (veal liver, vegan savoy cabbage roll) was excellent. But the dessert (a selection of ice cream with homemade peanut ice cream and strawberry ice cream with red pepper) was absolutely worth mentioning. The wonderful evening was topped off by the friendly atmosphere and the very friendly staff; we immediately felt welcome. Highly recommended!

What can I say? Those two gentlemen at the front were friendly and very accommodating! The food is a culinary delight. A real insider tip in Berlin! Two evenings there, and every wish was fulfilled! Anyone who missed this didn't eat well in Berlin!

The "dining room" is a wonderful place for connoisseurs—stylish, tasteful, and usually tactful. Only those who enjoy treading the earth with bare feet, dressed to the nines, should be prepared for some irritation from the service staff.

Such a stroke of luck! We passed by by chance and were lucky to get a spot. The service is sooo nice and attentive. The food is made with dedication and served with love. Absolute recommendation!!! But you should make a reservation.

Restaurant a little off the tourist circuit but absolutely worth going, moreover it is very easy to reach with the U6 metro. Very refined, typical German cuisine but with some truly original reinterpretations. A special thought goes to the owner who welcomed us with a smile even though we hadn't booked and was diligent and very kind throughout the evening. Thank you, we will be back for sure.

I’ve known this place for years now and all I can say: it was and stays great! It has a very cozy and calming atmosphere and there are mostly the same people working there as they were years ago, always genuinely nice, friendly and welcoming. I tried meet, fish and salads, the quality was always on point. Beautifully decorated, but most importantly, tasting delicious. The card is not huge, but there’s always a seasonal part of it that changes and plenty of options to choose from.

Having sinusitis, the joy of this meal escaped me! But the excellent service and the quality of the training are promising. I will go back!

The food is great, the service impeccable. The wine and the wine recommendation were very good and accurate. I will be very happy to come back! (The cellar smell in the toilets was really the only thing that struck me negatively. And otherwise I always find something to complain about 😉)

Very tasty food at moderate prices!

Two of us, plus our child, came for dinner. Both the starters and main courses were delicious and beautifully presented. We had cream soup, beef tartare, tarte flambée, and mackerel fillet. The service was extremely friendly and professional! This level of service is unfortunately rare these days. Highly recommended!

The walleye fillet was a symphony of ingredients and flavors. I was skeptical because of the high prices but I don't regret a cent I spent here. Service was also excellent. It's not too loud and there's a pleasant atmosphere.

Wonderful, somewhat hidden restaurant. Were in Berlin over the weekend and discovered this restaurant by chance. Great staff who are in a good mood and are always up for fun. A dream of a taste explosion. Service staff gets 10 stars, 5 is simply far too few. So warm, open, honest. It's a wonderful evening. Also a huge compliment to the kitchen, the food was a dream.

I was in Berlin for a concert and stayed at the Urban Loft, but I didn't like the food on offer, so I grabbed my companion and we just went to explore the area so I could get something to eat and we passed the dining room and it was attractive from the outside and the inside too, super friendly staff, super good food and unbeatable value for money. If I come to Berlin again, I would like to come here again :) It is advisable to reserve a table, we were lucky that we didn't have much time before the concert started and we were sure that the kitchen would be able to do that and that was the case.

Anfang November 2024 besuchten wir an einem Freitag Abend das Restaurant Esszimmer in Berlin-Mitte und waren begeistert von der einladenden Atmosphäre. Der Name ist hier Programm: Das Esszimmer-Feeling kam in dem kleineren Nebenraum, wo wir am Fenster Platz nahmen, besonders zur Geltung. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, was unseren Abend sehr angenehm gestaltete. Ich hatte ein Wildgericht, das hervorragend zubereitet und präsentiert wurde. Auch das Dessert war sehr lecker. Meine Begleitung hatte auch noch eine Vorspeise, die ebenfalls sehr gut war. Die Speisekarte war nicht riesig, aber dennoch vielfältig mit einigen saisonalen Spezialitäten, was die Entscheidung nicht leicht machte. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis angemessen für die Qualität und den Service, den wir erhielten. Für alle, die in Berlin-Mitte ein gemütliches Restaurant mit hervorragender deutscher Küche suchen, ist das Esszimmer eine klare Empfehlung.

To begin with, I would like to note the service - the waiter Jens is a charming man, he opened the door for us, spoke politely and captivatingly, helped a lot with the choice at our request and was not mistaken, we were very pleased. The most tender beef! I haven’t eaten anything like this anywhere in all the days I’ve been in Berlin. I think the ratio of spices is ideal, but this is a matter of taste.

The dessert selection was excellent, but the chocolate cake was overly sweet—reducing the sugar content would be ideal.

Comida perfecta en un encantador restaurante acogedor! Preciosa comida , vino , ambiente y alrededores . Queríamos cocina alemana y no nos decepcionó. Sopa del día y queso caliente de cabra para empezar , schnitzel de cerdo y filete de lubina para principal. Delicioso! El restaurante era auténtico, el camarero era alemán y sólo hablamos inglés, pero llegamos allí! Servicio amable y atento - ¡super! Gracias chicos.

We walked that way because of the positive reviews. At first we wondered where we had ended up, but all the reviews are correct! What a great restaurant!! Good menu, good atmosphere and great food! But perhaps even better: what enthusiasm among the staff! They know how to give you a fantastic evening 👍😃! Compliments!! So our advice is very simple: you have to go there for a beautiful and pleasant evening! Then just get away from all the hustle and bustle 😊!

Goede kaart, goede sfeer en geweldig eten! Maar misschien nog wel beter: wat een enthousiasme bij het personeel! Zij weten hoe ze je een fantastische avond kunnen bezorgen 👍😃! Complimenten!! Ons advies is dus heel eenvoudig: voor een mooie en gezellige avond met goed eten moet je daar zijn! Dan maar een beetje uit de loop van alle drukte 😊!

We ordered a Christmas dinner to go during Corona. I have rarely experienced anything so unfriendly and presumptuous as this, even in Berlin. Maybe it was due to the overall situation, but since then we just haven't felt like going back again. There are enough pleasant alternatives to happiness.

Pleasantly refined variants of regional feel-good cuisine, at a consistently high level for years. The Wiener Schnitzel is one of the best in the city, better than in Borchardt.

First-class and delicious meals at reasonable prices in a very cozy atmosphere with outstanding and very friendly service! The dining room is somewhat hidden and not on such a prominent street as Chausseestrasse or Torstrasse. But for me it is one of the best German restaurants in the whole of Berlin Mitte and beyond. Absolutely recommended!

Very cozy location with a super nice waitress and great food. I found the disadvantage that there was no special knife or pepper mill for the steak. Otherwise it was a successful evening with delicious and well-decorated dishes.

Food is decent but not cheap either. If you want to sit outside, you unfortunately sit right on the street. Luckily it's not a main road, but it was still a bit annoying for us. Staff was friendly and very attentive.

I don't welcome guests at 9:30 p.m., even though the opening hours are until 11 p.m., which I find very annoying. We weren't even asked if we wanted something else or just something to drink. No solution was sought, poor service when no guests were even welcomed.
