Friendly staff, good food and nice place. Had a very pleasant dinner, hope I’ll get to visit again soon!

We had a lovely evening, with great food and very good service from Frank. His humour definitely made us chuckle. Frank gave us suggestions on the food and drinks and we were very happy with everything we had. I’d read that with the Pork Knuckle several people recommended to have more gravy, and Frank delivered me some extra which was definitely necessary and appreciated. I gave Frank the positive feedback regarding offering extra gravy, and it was great to see that when the people ordering the same dish on the next table shortly after us Frank offered them the extra gravy too. That table also appreciated it, and loved the food too. Also the Apricot Dumplings were very tasty too! A great venue, we’ll be back again soon.

The waiters don't care about the customers. They took the wrong order and left the customer to finish. So weird. 😅 A really bad experience. Also, the food is mediocre and overrated.

Food took a little while to come but it was worth the wait and the service was excellent overall. Very generous quantities and wonderfully prepared.

We had an amazing experience at Marjellchen and already planning to come back. The service was friendly and impeccable, drink list was excellent, food was likewise absolutely delicious and portions were very generous. The apricot dumplings for dessert and beef liver were the absolute stars.

We were looking for a place to eat German food. Everything was good! Impeccable service (Gennaro was very kind). Good value for money.

We arrived as a large group (20 people). The place was not organized for such a large number at one time and it took a long time to receive the dishes we ordered. The food was mediocre and the main problem was the unbearable heat. It was about 26 degrees outside and there is no air conditioning inside, so it was very problematic. The staff tried their best and was polite, but the conditions were not in their favor.

Incredibly delicious food! We had two Wiener schnitzels, veal strips, and a Silesian dish, and we were all absolutely thrilled. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. The seating is lovely, both inside and outside. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended ❤️❤️

Good food, cold beer and great atmosphere.

The Marjellchen restaurant offers a stylish, cozy ambiance that feels traditional without being dated. The service is very attentive, and the food is a real highlight. The wild peppercorns, in particular, were superbly seasoned and tender, and the East Prussian apricot dumplings for dessert were equally delicious. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience with no real criticism. One small note, however: some of the square plates had chipped spots—a shame considering the attention to detail.

Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied. I had the Masurian wild pepper. The meat seemed very dry, and the sauce wasn't particularly special either. The dumplings were very small. My wife's Himmelreich was much better. I expect significantly better quality in this price range. Perhaps this explains the rather mediocre attendance at the restaurant that evening, even though the surrounding restaurants were very busy. For me, it was a one-time visit.

We came here for the first time on a recommendation – as tourists, of course 🙃 The menu: excellent! Nothing bourgeois – all unique dishes (sour cream ham, Silesian heaven, etc.). We had sour cream ham and roasted vegetables – a dream. Dessert: apricot dumplings and poppy seed dumplings. Also excellent. Everything was obviously freshly prepared – so there was a bit of a wait. The service was polite, spontaneous, and charming and witty. We'd love to come back!!

Beautiful traditional restaurant with dishes that are rarely found these days.

Excellent overall. The soup was more sour than expected but in a delightful way, really preparing you for what comes next. The asparagus was juice and crispy. The meatballs were not seasoned themselves but tasted great with the sauces. The staffs were helpful and very friendly.

The knuckle of pork was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, packed with rich, savory flavor. The schnitzel was also amazing. Both dishes were authentic and generously portioned, making it a true taste of German cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're in Berlin and want a memorable meal, this place is a must!

Este poco de Charlottenburg, el poco que toca Kurfürstendamm es un poco como West Hampstead toca la Kilburn High Road, ni de lejos tan bien escorado como el poco alrededor del palacio. Con nuestro fin de semana largo casi terminado, nuestro entusiasmo estaba disminuyendo y la cena de la noche no había sido planeada, pensando que simplemente nos íbamos a rockear en algún lugar, pero luego entramos en pánico pensando que como es sábado, podríamos luchar. Este pequeño bistró tiene algo de pedigrí según la web del restaurante, recetas familiares que se remontan a orígenes prusianos, pero para los novatos como nosotros, era más o menos cocina tradicional alemana como habíamos descubierto en otros lugares. Los dos somos grandes fanáticos de la comida alemana y ya había comido bien este viaje, así que pensé en probar un entrante y un plato de salchichas mixtas con puré de papas y repollo. Tomó sopa de espárragos y albóndigas de ternera. Mis champiñones blancos, probablemente de una libra de peso, empanados, con una pequeña muestra de ensalada y salsa de ajo era suficiente para alimentar una mesa de cuatro y por mucho que odio hacerlo, dejó un tercio sin comer. Mi apetito a los 59 años ya no es como antes y estoy muy acostumbrado a las porciones de Londres. Me preocupaba ahora que mi selección de salchichas fuera tan generosa. ¡Oh, Dios mío! Un Frankfurt frito, bratwurst a la parrilla y tres bángers más pequeños pero maravillosos tamaño chipolata fue de nuevo, más que suficiente para mí. El puré y el chucrut caliente sabía delicioso, y probablemente a la tradición familiar, pero mi preocupación por dejar la comida significaba que comía más de lo que era cómodo. El servicio era excelente, el ambiente estaba bien. La aplicación de traducción de Google confirmó que nuestros vecinos borrachos criticaban lo que llevábamos puesto, pero eso no es culpa del restaurante. I was in this restaurant 2 weeks ago..I wanted to try something new, different and traditional..I have to say that I was delighted, from the appetizers to the dessert, it was really delicious. I definitely recommend visiting this beautiful restaurant in Berlin if you want to eat well.

Unfortunately no photos of the food were taken, but absolutely recommended. Especially for those who don't always want to eat the same thing. Both the boss and the trainee provided excellent service. There is East Prussian, Moorish and Silesian cuisine, but also traditional Berlin dishes, such as veal liver, which I can highly recommend. Dear guests: Enjoy it! Very nice restaurant, very cozy and very friendly staff. We were a group of 11 people from Italy. A friend who lives in Berlin recommended the restaurant to us. The meal was excellent. We all ordered different dishes and everything was very tasty and prepared with love. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back here on our next stay in Berlin.

I discovered Marjellchen on my first visit to Berlin and immediately fell in love with it. Cozy ambience meets good food. Whether at the bar with a beer/wine or at the white-covered tables, you immediately feel at home.

All in all satisfied. Very attentive service. The food was good but not exceptional. Just barely not 5 stars. After another visit, upgraded to a full 5.

Fabulosa cena para nuestra primera noche en Berlín. Aunque no teníamos reservas, fueron capaces de acomodarnos. El restaurante en sí es encantador. Nuestra camarera era amable y atento sin ser dominante. ¿Y la comida? ¡Yum! Ambos nos encantó nuestras comidas - el plato de salchichas y rouladen. Terminamos de cenar con la crema brûlée con carmelizado junto a la mesa, café expreso y menta caliente, té de flor de saúco de lima. Muy recomendable!

There were five of us for dinner. Everyone ordered something different. Everything was really very good. However, the Silesian heaven was the best dish. Very nicely furnished rooms. Very friendly and attentive service. We'll be back.

I've dined here more than once and chose this restaurant to celebrate my 30th birthday, We were 8 people and we waited ~1 hour for the main course to arrive, and 40 minutes for desserts to arrive. While I was paying the bill for the whole table, the staff was unapologetic, trying to shift my focus to the quality of food. I'm very disappointed and will no longer be their customer, which is a shame because they serve nice dishes. There's also a very pungent smell in the dining area close to the bathroom, problem that has never been addressed by them.

Good food, good wine (qbA), very attentive service from a charming and clever waitress and cozy decor. The restaurant is highly recommended (and, as we learned, has existed since 1987). Vegetarian options were also very tasty. You couldn't read that much about vegan on the menu, it would be nice if that was added! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Absolutely fantastic experience. We went in this restaurant, a group of 12 people, because we saw the review on Google and we agree to everything we read. The service was amazing, mostly Dennis that take care of us from the beginning to the end of the dinner, the food was also magnificent, every detail of the items was thought out down to the smallest detail. I absolutely recommend it

After a few years we were back at Marjellchen. The ambience has won, you feel very comfortable. The cuisine has remained consistently good and the service is unobtrusive, friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

Old Berlin chic. Great ambience and regional Berlin Brandenburg cuisine. We were there spontaneously for the Christmas goose. Very, very tasty, small, good wine selection and no problem with special requests, without bacon etc. with kale.

Unfortunately, my visit to the Marjellchen restaurant in Berlin was anything but satisfactory. I had pike perch with a small salad plate and a vitamin spritzer and paid over 30 euros for it. Unfortunately, neither the portion size nor the quality of the food could justify the high price. The fish was solidly cooked, but nothing special in terms of taste, and the accompaniments were so sparse that I was still hungry after the meal. The price-performance ratio was not good at all. When you pay that much, you expect an attractive portion and a culinary experience that impresses - both of which were missing here. I had hoped for much more from a restaurant with this reputation and would not recommend it. There are many alternatives in Berlin that offer better food at fairer prices.

A discovery! We had beetroot soup, Masurian sauerbraten, sour cream ham and apple dumplings. Everything is excellent! Very friendly and attentive service. And when the boss explains to us his small but beautiful winter model railway layout in the window, every model railway builder's heart smiles. We'll be back.

A direct hit! We had beetroot soup and onion meat or Silesian Heaven as the main course. The soup is pink because it has a lot of sour cream on it (that's how it has to be!) and the meat is so tender that the knife could be left alone. Not for people who are currently on a diet. Super attentive and friendly service. Next time, yes we will come back, let's dress a little better.
