First of all: We'll give it another chance because of the lovely ambiance. But: The waitress, Brigitte? Birgit? I forget her name, was the worst and rudest waitress we've ever experienced. Unfriendly, patronizing, irritated, unqualified. People, don't let this person ruin your lovely shop.

The food was very modern and to the point. Staff super friendly, atmosphere very harmonious. We would come back at any time.

Take a look at the photos in the reviews under Labskaus. Three photos, three variations, no two are alike. Today we were missing the ox cheeks advertised on the menu. Total failure at the Sunday roast. Our guest - a Korean woman - was looking forward to the Sunday roast, especially since she really likes German cuisine. And what happened? A dry duck leg. The waiters said there was no roast today. When asked whether we should have been told this when ordering, the two of them thought it was correct and wanted to discuss it with the waitress. She came right away and explained to us that roast is roast, sometimes pork, sometimes beef and sometimes duck. In this case, the duck was very old and no longer tasted good. Annoying and embarrassing in front of the guest and not funny at all. But this is Berlin, the more miserable it is, the smellier it is. And why level? The tourists will never come back anyway. We only live about 500m away as the crow flies, but we won't be coming back.

Service provided friendly.. constantly wrong drinks, wrong size or at best you are simply forgotten. If you like fake friendliness and stupid sayings, you've come to the right place. You can also discuss price-performance and whether the "man" is full. It's more for gourmet lovers who are amused by waiters with supposed humor. In the end, as expected, a wrong bill because drinks were simply booked on our table, the apology was just “sorry new cash register”. I think more of incompetence. We were there in December, me for the first time. Overall situation a bit hectic as there are Christmas parties on site. But our service person, Ulrike (I think) was a blast. Smiling, quick and so incredibly pleasant. Thank you Ulrike for this magical evening🩷

This is a really great location. Super cozy even though it's quite big. The food is really delicious and the offering is anything but run-of-the-mill. I had eggs in mustard sauce, just like before, simply incredibly delicious. The service is simply fine, good humor, great attention, even for the dog under the table. Absolutely recommended.

We had a really wonderful (pre-)Christmas dinner at Fischer & Lustig. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, everything ran quickly and friendly. The quality of the products was excellent and the Oldenburg duck for two people was even cut up and served at the table. The starters were large portions and also excellent. Add a cold beer (Trüber Werner) and the evening is perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Wir waren mit 6 Personen. Das Lokal war mega voll und trotzdem eine sehr freundliche, entspannte und aufmerksame Bedienung. Sowas habe ich lange nicht erlebt. Ambiente ist sehr schön und das Essen war sehr lecker. Fischgerichte waren alle sehr gut. Empfehlen wir auf jeden Fall weiter und haben es zu unseren Favoriten auf unserer Berlinlokationliste genommen.

Tolle Location, sehr urig eingerichtet. Das Team war sehr kompetent und aufmerksam. Eine Melanche aus Eleganz und "Berliner Schnauze" macht das "Fischer & Lustig" zu einem authentischen Berliner Restaurant mit feiner Küche, die noch nicht perfekt ist, aber sehr empfehlenswert. ... und bitte immer vorher reservieren.

Had a nice break here during a walk through the city. The restaurant is located in the Nikolaiviertel. The Rotes Rathaus subway station is around the corner. The service was excellent and I enjoyed it too. The restaurant is very cozy. I'd love to come back.

Yesterday we were with friends in the restaurant, which initially scored points with friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the long waiting times for ordering, eating and paying - probably due to the rush - left a lot to be desired. In my opinion, the prices are disproportionate to the quality and quantity of the food: My zander consisted of a small slice of fish with a few side dishes, with the vegetables being so hard that they were almost inedible (€26). Since we were limited by time, there was no time for improvements. Conclusion: For us it was a one-time visit, we won't be coming back.

I haven't felt this comfortable in a long time!! Everything is just right here. Great, attentive and friendly service meets a family atmosphere in an extremely lovingly furnished restaurant! The food, at more than fair prices, was the best I've had in a restaurant in a long time. From the starter to the main course to the dessert platter, everything was nothing less than perfect! In short: IF you eat stylishly at Alexanderplatz (no matter as a “local” or as a “tourist”), THEN Fischer & Lustig!!!

I was with you today with two friends. We received a very friendly welcome in the great atmosphere. The service was in a good mood. My friends chose Matjes and Königsberger and were thrilled. I chose duck leg and duck breast with dumplings and red cabbage. Unfortunately the duck parts were really very small and very dry Dumplings and red cabbage were very good. I was really looking forward to the duck and was bitterly disappointed. I recommended the restaurant because I was very satisfied with the thick ribs with kale on my last visit I ordered again on Christmas Day

Wow, this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and he was honestly right. First: I arrived without a reservation. I didn't really know I had to make a reservation, but when they saw me carrying a baby they found me a table. I appreciate it because we were hungry and it was very cold. Second: The food was a scrumptious delight, I loved the pork, the desserts were an explosion of flavors and the recommended wine was divine, everything was recommended by the waiter. Third: The most spectacular thing about the dinner was the attention of the staff, especially our assigned waiter, I don't know his name but he is white. Adult and bald, what quality of service, level of experience in hospitality, he was patient with me due to my low level of English and always recommended options for my entire family. It was an honor to be able to eat at this restaurant on my first time in Berlin. Five stars for you for your food, decoration and attention. Thank you

We didn't expect a fish restaurant in the Nicolaiviertel and spontaneously went to eat there. It was worth it, we were pleasantly surprised Vegetarian dishes are also available there, for example fried cauliflower with potatoes, large portions to eat your fill. The Labskaus was highly recommended and the fish and chips were also great. The interior of the restaurant is modernly furnished.

Reservierung für 8 Personen war auch langfristig nicht einfach. Jetzt wissen wir warum: Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant, tolles Ambiente, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal mit ausgezeichneter Küche, ohne ins übertrieben Extravagante abzurutschen. Underground Service Had reserved a table for 2 - were brought to a table with only one chair. We stood there for 7 minutes - then another waiter came and asked what we were waiting for - a chair. He then brought us a chair - shortly afterwards the first waiter came - it wouldn't work - it was for a group. We then left the restaurant. I have never been treated so rudely.

Wir hatten einen Tisch im hinteren Bereich. Es war wunderbar ruhig, toll dekoriert und ein schönes Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr gut, keiner von 9 Leuten hatte etwas zu beanstanden.

Big disappointment today, was often in the Oase in Mitte and always very satisfied 👍But today it was really very bad, a restaurant lives from the service and especially from the food... Service today totally overwhelmed and very stressed, food was very bad today... Ox cheeks totally stringy, side dishes below ground, vegetables raw, food was served cold, complaint not possible because waiter was no longer available. I was very disappointed that the restaurant manager didn't respond to my complaint, the bill had to be paid in full, which is a shame for tourists👎

A fantastic experience at Fischer & Lustig! Our visit was a pure treat for all the senses. In particular, we would like to highlight the perfectly cooked whole duck – juicy, tender and full of flavour, a real masterpiece! As the crowning glory, the dinner ended with the dessert plate "Sött slut", which was not only visually impressive but also a taste highlight. Every detail was thought out and perfectly executed. The evening was rounded off with the professional, charming and attentive team, who made us feel very welcome from start to finish. An obvious recommendation - we will definitely be back!

I was there today with the family. The restaurant was very accessible and also seems to be used as a spacious beer garden in summer. The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy. I felt very comfortable from the start. The welcome was very warm and with humor. The Lord knew how to use words. That was how he won me over. After ordering the drinks, we waited neither too long nor too long for the main course. I had salmon with braised cucumbers and mashed potatoes. The food was beautifully prepared and absolutely worth the price because you had the feeling that it was cooked with love. I also have to highlight the dessert. A liquid cheesecake in a glass filled with small ice cubes. You felt like you were transported back to your childhood when your mom let you lick the bowl of dough. And another special compliment to the restaurant specialist. Approach the guest with humor and punch. Really good.

Leider bin ich von diesem Besuch im Fischer & Lustig enttäuscht. An der Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter+innen sowie der Qualität der Speisen war nichts zu bemängeln - deshalb auch der wiederholte Besuch. Was allerdings unsere Stimmung sehr beeinträchtigt hat war die Tatsache, dass wir von der Bestellung unserer Gerichte bis zur "Lieferung" eine (1) Stunde warten mussten. Auf meine Frage, warum des so lange dauerte, wurde mir geantwortet, dass einige große Gruppen zu bedienen wären und diese erst mal drankommen müssten. Da stellt sich für mich allerdings die Frage, ob "große Gruppen", die vielleicht einmal im Jahr kommen, dem Restaurant wichtiger sind als individuelle Gäste, die bei Zufriedenheit wiederkommen.

We received a great welcome. There was no table available. But the patio heater was turned on for us outside and we waited for a table with hot drinks. After about 15-20 minutes we sat down. Max and Patrick were the best cellars / service we have ever experienced. We have never experienced such friendly staff. Nice conversations and asking if we need anything else and whether it tastes good. At the end we received a rose from Max. We'll definitely be back.
