The food is great! The service is friendly. The restaurant is beautiful, with outdoor seating in the summer. Unfortunately, the prices are steep, especially when it's not schnitzel day. Only the access via a narrow spiral staircase can be described as adventurous.

Don't get free apple drink. Barely drinkable. Schnitzel was good.

Booked from the site. Upon arrival they make us sit down and ask us if we prefer beer or something as a free drink, a wonderful initiative if it weren't for the fact that the free drink arrives only after ordering and only because we ask what happened to it :( We think it's "the fault" of us being tourists but that's not the case. The table behind us had to ask for cutlery and our neighbors found hair in the meat... all German guests. The food was nothing exceptional, the vegetarian dish was absolutely not recommended, the desserts were disappointing. Friendliness and professionalism at an all-time low, but at the time of payment they were very diligent in explaining how to give them a tip. In summary, we didn't have a good time at all!

Always an excellent experience, with outstanding schnitzel, beer and friendly and efficient service. Probably the largest choice of schnitzels in the menu at any venue in Berlin. From the classic veal schnitzel to several vegetarian options, including the mushroom schnitzel which is awesome! Also a nice choice of seating areas, with more child friendly areas as well as a very large terrace in the warmer season.

Unfortunately very crowded and loud. Schnitzel very expensive and quality so-so (unfortunately it has deteriorated more and more over the years...), the roulade was rather bad (dry and difficult to chew...). The service was super good and very attentive

Everything used to be better. Sounds strange, but it's true here. Had too much success? My schnitzel was ok, but far from the special thing we used to associate with schnitzel. That fluffy special breading...was not there. No better than what I can do myself. Things used to be different. The waitress may not have had the best day. Can happen. We've never had anything like that there before. All in all ok, but not something I really have to go back to. Too bad.

There is either a small beer or an apple spritzer on the house. The delicious Bavarian schnitzel consists of 3 small ones. We added lukewarm cucumber potato salad.

Thanks! What can I say, it was terrific. After we initially, quite naively, didn't get a place without a reservation, it finally worked out. This commitment alone was a nice start. Then the “welcome drink” - it just kept getting better. We didn't have to wait long for the order either. The Bavarian schnitzel, pounded nice and thin, the combination with the sweet mustard - very tasty! We had to move in between but it wasn't a problem. An all-round successful evening with plenty of very friendly and eager staff in a rustic atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Kind regards to the team and keep it up!

There were four of us there. Great atmosphere. Modernly furnished. The employees were all very professional and nice. I had the classic veal schnitzel. It was good but not the best schnitzel I've eaten. Hence one star less. It is difficult to judge price/performance.

Unfortunately, the breading doesn't bubble and sticks rather tightly to the schnitzel in a greasy manner. Not outstanding.

Be sure to make a reservation on schnitzel day (Tuesday)... once the place is taken, the waitress comes and brings either apple juice or freshly tapped beer on the house :-)) The veal schnitzel plus side dish is worth it, especially on schnitzel day, at this great price of just under €20... plus a Chardonnay 👍🏻... the service is also very attentive. Always happy!!!

We ordered tapas and they were good, but I think the schnitzels are the main focus here in terms of taste. Great service!

Very tasty (including vegetarian) schnitzels and side dishes, the staff was extremely friendly and personal. The drinks were fairly priced and there was a very pleasant atmosphere. We have only been to the restaurant in Mitte several times so far, but this one is in no way inferior.

Simply awesome.....from the welcome to the end everything was great and it couldn't be better. Food was a dream, I haven't eaten this well in a long time....will definitely come back....

If you want to do your own service , it is totally the best place in the entire city. Ahhah also you need to bring a book to read and finish while waiting your order ;)

I recently dined at Schnitzelei, a local Berlin restaurant that exceeded my expectations. One of the best Schnitzel addresses in Berlin.

Being of German descent the wiener schnitzel was not cooked properly the portion of the wine was extremely small and the cost of the soup was very expensive

Lovely resturant with nice offer, I tasted the calf schnitzel and the mustard marinated pork one, I'd recommend the calf one!

The Schnitzelei restaurant impresses with delicious food and generous portions that will fill everyone up. The quality of the food is excellent and we can recommend the restaurant without reservation. Particularly worth mentioning is the table football table in the basement, which invites you to linger and have fun.

I wouldn't say it's bad, but when the name is schnitzel and the schnitzel is the flagship of the store, you expect more of it. Not the best schnitzel by far. The staff seems a bit aloof - I mean we're talking about schnitzel and not about a star cuisine. Otherwise it was a pleasant evening.

Nice interior, a little bit busy and loud. Service good. Great vegetarian choices, a lot of "meat" meals having a vegetarian/vegan options. Some unique vegan food creations. I would highly recommend for vegetarian/vegan food!

Wir waren schon einige Male im Schnitzelhaus und waren jedes Mal rundum zufrieden. Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Der Service exzellent, ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Es gab sogar eine Geburtstagsüberraschung in Form einer leckeren Nachtischauswahl zum Teilen für alle. Wirklich toll! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Unfortunately, gluten-free schnitzels were a bit bland. Cordon bleu with very spicy cheese. The main courses tasted ok, but the price was a bit too high in my opinion. However, the Toblerone mousse was a poem. The place is a bit hidden

All in all, the food was quite good, but the schnitzels had a breading that was pressed on too tightly. Real Viennese schnitzel look different and taste better too.

Glutenfrei gut, aber leider war das Schnitzel eher fad und etwas trocken. Kartoffel und Gemüse war gut. Cordon bleu war ebenfalls gut, der Käse sehr kräftig. Highlight war definitiv das glutenfreie Tobleronemousse

Overpriced for the size of the plates (a piece Gordon Blueu the size of a passport is priced 25€) However that was nowhere near as problematic as the rudeness of the waiter. Just sad.

Clocky and cozy, very tasty schnitzel and other dishes in different variations, sophisticated starters and desserts, super friendly and attentive service. There's nothing to complain about. We had a wonderful company party there. Only the “normal” toilets are absolutely not barrier-free, you should probably know that. I don't know if there is a barrier-free one. I can definitely recommend the schnitzels. I would reserve in advance at least on the weekend.

Das Essen war sehr gut, auch das selbstgebackene Brot vorweg. Der Service hat uns auch gefallen, dieser scheint aber von Restaurantkraft zu Restaurantkraft unterschiedlich zu sein. Des Restaurant selbst sieht leider nicht mehr so schön hell wie auf den Bildern aus und diese Grüntöne an den Wänden haben uns leider gar nicht gefallen. Alles wirkt auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen - andere würden sagen "urig". Aber nichts- destotrotz haben wir uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt und wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Trotz der Abstriche, die auch immer Geschmackssache sind, würden wir das Lokal weiterempfehlen und auch selber wiederkommen.

La migliore wienerschnitzel che ho mai mangiato. Ero stato qui due anni fa ed oggi sono tornato, sempre la stessa eccellente qualità. Servizio molto veloce, forse anche perché a causa dell'orario anomalo (le 15) gli avventori non erano tantissimi.

We returned for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and, as always, were greeted very warmly. The service scores points right from the start with a charming gesture: as a welcome greeting there is either a small beer or an apple juice spritzer, which makes the start pleasant. We then chose two large shandies to drink. When it came to eating, we initially decided on six tapas, including: • Small Berlin meatballs with wild garlic mustard • Berlin currywurst with homemade sauce • Small grilled sausages with sauerkraut • Colorful garden vegetables with beetroot, horseradish and sunflower seed dip • Mini baked potatoes with herb quark and linseed oil • Obazda (dressed cheese) The tapas were mostly convincing with creative flavors and excellent preparation. Particularly noteworthy are the meatballs with wild garlic mustard and the baked potatoes, which impress with their freshness and taste balance. Only the Obazda didn't quite suit our taste - but this remains a subjective assessment. As main courses we chose the classic Cordon Bleu and a vegetarian cauliflower schnitzel. The Cordon Bleu impressed with high-quality meat and strong cheese, the taste of which was reminiscent of raclette. The side dishes were fresh and rounded off the dish harmoniously. The cauliflower schnitzel was also well prepared, although a bit dry, which slightly spoiled the overall impression. If there are any points of criticism, it would be the rather high prices, which are, however, partially justified by the quality of the food. Conclusion: The restaurant remains one of our first addresses in Berlin. Despite minor weaknesses, it impresses with harmonious dishes, excellent service and a pleasant ambience. We still recommend it without reservation.

Update from December 28th, 2024: The little waitress with the short dark hair is really cute! There's an extra star for that!!! It's nice here - nothing more. The staff seems a bit too know-it-all (or almost cheeky) to me - but that's just my individual impression...

Great expectations, nothing special, normal friendly staff, taste of normal schnitzel (a bit salty) appetizer bowls not high light either...all in all average..atmosphere loud...stairs to the toilets dusty and a challenge for not completely fit guests ...I don't have to go there again

Alle waren super nett und freundlich und das Essen ist frisch und wirklich sehr lecker. Wir saßen zu zweit an einem großen Tisch und der Chef hat uns ganz lieb gefragt, ob wir wegen einer Gruppe an einen kleinen Platz umziehen würden. Als Dankeschön gab's dann sogar einen fantastischen Nachtisch-Teller auf Kosten des Hauses. Alles in allem ein tolles, gemütliches Restaurant, wo man das Gefühl hat, als Freund zu Essen und nicht nur als Gast.

A schnitzel that vegans also like to go to. The restaurant has been around for a long time and has long recognized the times. Here you get one of the best schnitzels in this city and the service is perfect, very nice and courteous. and when Christian is there, it becomes even funnier. Definitely reserve a table because the restaurant is very busy.

We really like the concept and we didn't expect it to be this way: a schnitzel where meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike get their money's worth. We ate the oyster mushroom schnitzel and the vegan roulade and really enjoyed it. The service was very attentive, we found the prices reasonable and the atmosphere inviting.

The taste is good and the portion is sufficient.

Ate for the second time today and I have to say, the food and drink were once again great. 👍🏻 We have already decided that we will visit you again in 2025!!!! Service was once again really great!
