A quaint restaurant where you can eat cheaply and well. Time seems to have stood still here. Manageable selection of dishes. Rather simple cuisine, but delicious schnitzels and chicken. No salads or desserts. Friendly and attentive service. If you want cheap and good simple food, this is the right place for you.
Great chef and great service at reasonable prices.
Unfortunately, this is no longer a given today. Every dish we've eaten so far in a few visits has been down-to-earth, superbly crafted and tasted great, plus it fills you up and it's affordable.
What more could you want?
This restaurant deserves every great review and many guests.
Thanks
The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and attentive, but the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. A refresh is in order, overall it's not really comfortable and it's a little outdated. (visit 2019)
Thank you very much!!!
We really enjoyed the home-style cooking today.
We were warmly served and felt very comfortable.
When we're in the area again, we'll stop by again.
Greetings and maybe we'll see each other at the Hannover 96 vs Ulm game ;-)
From the outside, the restaurant is very inconspicuous and, to be honest, not particularly inviting. In the front area the atmosphere is more rustic. You wouldn't expect how much space there is in the other rooms. The area where we were allowed to dine was modern and bright.
The selection of food is really great! The salad buffet is also great! Everything tasted very tasty.
However, there was something that really irritated and annoyed me a bit. According to the menu, my dish was supposed to be served with red cabbage. Without discussing it with me, I was given an inappropriate side dish.
This was very tasty, but I don't think it's okay that I wasn't told anything about it either beforehand or when I brought it.
I think it's great that there was a slightly different selection of children's meals than the usual.
Toilets are clean, modern and nicely decorated.
While sightseeing in Heidelberg on the weekend, I visited with a local guide. As the name suggests, this is a schnitzel specialty store, and they have a huge menu! There are so many variations, from the classics to the slightly unusual ones, that I was having a hard time choosing. But that's also part of the fun. Although we visited with a large group, the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some people who were not good at German or English, but I felt at ease because I could see photos of the food on Instagram and order by number.
Of course, the beer was absolutely delicious, and it was a great way to end our sightseeing tour. This is a tourist-friendly store that you can easily stop by!
