Highly recommended, I really liked it!!

Well, if the dumplings had been as delicious as the first time… they'd easily give it 5 stars. They seemed a bit dry and warmed over. We'll be back.

Very nice service, great location right on the water. Unfortunately the food was very poor and everything was lukewarm. Lamb shank tough and chunky, beans even less warm. Onion roast meat not the best quality, medium on one side, only briefly turned on the other side, therefore bloody, no roasted aromas, spaetzle and sauce not hot either, not even really warm. Schnitzel ok, salty. Fries were good and warm

Can highly recommend this place. Sat in the beer garden. Food and service very good. Great atmosphere inside and outside. Great opportunities for celebrating on the first floor.

Food and drinks top. Despite this tourist destination, the service and quality of the food were top. Also no feeling of overcrowding. We were pleasantly surprised. The attentive and friendly service was also impressive. We'd love to come back.

Been there for 4 days at different times. Great location on the water and really attentive and fast staff 💪 if you want to experience a beautiful sunset, reserve the seats 120 ff.. Food taste and size upper beer garden level.. everything very tasty and price/performance ratio totally fine! Thanks to our favorite waiter "Attila"..best man💪👍

Everything was very good apart from the soliciting for tips. This is unacceptable. Please train your staff to not ask for tips this is very bad.

We came here looking for “home-style” food. As a dish we had schnitzel with asparagus and potatoes. Unfortunately a disappointment! The schnitzel was rather small and seemed like frozen food. The asparagus was watery and the hollandaise sauce definitely came from a packet. Plus potatoes that were cooked more or less soft with the skin on. The loud Italian tour group next door made the negative experience complete. Too bad. At least the view of the Rhine was ok.

The two of us came by spontaneously and got a nice spot straight away. Coincidentally it was the 10th anniversary and there was a whole fresh grilled fish for €10. Incredible offer, we ordered a second one straight away. Great atmosphere with live music!

The service was extremely good, the staff was very attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations and left a few things to be desired.

Tipica birreria tedesca situata proprio sul fiume che poi sfocia nel lago di Costanza. L'atmosfera è molto carina, il soffitto e le pareti sono fatti da ampie vetrate che danno sul Biergarten esterno. L'ambiente è molto alla mano e il ristorante è frequentato da parecchia gente del posto. Durante le sere del fine settimana è importante prenotare, soprattutto se si è un grande gruppo. Io e la mia compagna di viaggio avevamo prenotato, e abbiamo visto molti gruppi di 5-6 persone essere rifiutati alla porta. Se si è solamente in due o tre persone e si va dopo l'orario di punta dalle 20:30, 21:00 circa è ancora possibile trovare posto. La nostra cameriera è stata molto gentile e disponibile, e il cibo era veramente ottimo! Sia il purè di patate che le mele cotte erano veramente fatti in casa e freschi, la mia carne era cotta alla perfezione e veramente saporita. I prezzi sono nella fascia medio-bassa e onesti.

They have the menu in different languages. They gave us a menu in Spanish, the food is good, the terrace and the view of the lake are beautiful.

I decided on asparagus with schnitzel and potatoes. Totally carelessly prepared (see picture) and small mini asparagus spears and potatoes don't look very appetizing either. It was DEFINITELY not worth the money! Unfortunately I don't recommend it!

Everything was great! There were 8 people there. For a Saturday evening, drinks and food arrived in a short time. We were served very friendly. The food was very tasty! Clear recommendation

Good retreat for pleasant hours

The location is truly beautiful with an outdoor terrace overlooking the Reno river and a view of the lake, especially suggestive at sunset. Typical Bavarian menu with quite generous portions. Menu on request also in Italian (approximate). Good beer and desserts. Service a little slow and with some errors, prices basically honest or at least within the norm. Overall most positive experience.

“Cheese spaetzle children’s plate” Special requests are no problem here. Added to this is the friendly service and the beautiful ambience. What more could you want...

A very nice place to sit, on the water in a kind of greenhouse. The only thing is that it does get warm when the sun shines. We arrived from the cold so the warmth was welcome. But at a certain point it became very warm. In the summer the greenhouse is also closed and they have a nice restaurant and terrace. I ate a delicious Easter dish, asparagus with butter sauce and schnitzel. And they have nice beers. The children also had a very tasty meal. Atmosphere was very good, but because of the heat I gave it one star less

Wunderbare Lokation direkt am Seerhein mit mehreren wintergartenähnlichen Anbauten, so dass man auch bei schlechtem Wetter etwas von der tollen Aussicht hat. Speisen und Getränke sehr gut. Service top, unaufdringlich und professionell. Insbesondere fällt die annähernd perfekte Organisation auf. Hier wird so gut wie nichts dem Zufall überlassen. Portionen auf der Standardkarte wirklich üppig, auf der Tageskarte können die Portionen z.B bei den Königsberger Klopsen ein bisschen kleiner ausfallen, aber durchaus ausreichend. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis herausragend.

It was a really nice evening with very tasty food. The service staff was very friendly. The price-performance ratio is top.

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Especially the seat cushions on the benches. Could be vacuumed more often. They are crumbly and have a lot of long hair in their upholstery. The staff is friendly but they stand around a lot and don't see the work. And keep the guests waiting. What a shame!

Ich war mittlerweile schon mehrere Male im Constanzer Wirtshaus – und komme immer gerne wieder. Egal ob Sommer oder Winter, ob drinnen oder draußen im schönen Biergarten: Die Atmosphäre ist einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Das Essen ist durchweg auf hohem Niveau – bodenständig, regional und mit Liebe zubereitet. Besonders der Zwiebelrostbraten und das Altstadt-Schnitzel sind echte Highlights. Dazu ein frisch gezapftes Bier – was will man mehr? Ich komme immer wieder gerne – das Constanzer Wirtshaus ist für mich ein fester Bestandteil jedes Konstanz-Besuchs. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Top restaurant - great beer and delicious food

Wunderschöne Location am Seerhein mit gutem Angebot und freundlichem, engagiertem Personal. Unsere Gerichte, Maultaschen und Haxe waren sehr schmackhaft-insgesamt wieder ein gelungener Abend in Konstanz.

The food was on the table within 5 minutes, so it wasn't freshly prepared and you could tell. Unfortunately it was totally bland and neither the Königsberger dumplings (I had a whole caper) nor the dumplings (dry) in spinach sauce were tasty. The meat dish was also boring. Small portions at steep prices. Service was great, we were always asked if we wanted something more to drink, but we weren't asked if it was tasty and in the end we were charged for the wrong table. This only became apparent when we were already at the exit... we had paid too much. As people from Konstanz, we sometimes go there with guests because of the view and the ambience, but we will now look for something else.

The Constanzer Wirtshaus is beautifully located. It is right on the Rhine and offers the opportunity to dine on the terrace with a view of the lake. However, caution is advised when it comes to the dishes: Pork knuckle is just a matter of luck here, sometimes there is a nice crust and sometimes it is just fat and not crispy, plus a dumpling is also a bit spartan, unfortunately the amount of sauce is also, if the amount were adjusted, I would be willing to pay €20 for it. Altstadt Schnitzle has always been good and crispy, but the amount of potato salad is also something to complain about here! About the salads: They're all good! Great selection of different vegetables, although I recently caught some unripe tomatoes! Great restaurant, service and staff are top!! Gladly again

I ate at the Konstanzer Wirtshaus with my girlfriend on New Year's Eve. I can't help but give everything 5 stars. It was an all-around great evening. Super delicious food, super friendly staff, and a fantastic location. That's why I can wholeheartedly recommend the Konstanzer Wirtshaus!

Used for lunch with family and friends. First of all, the location is great. Since it was a chilly season, we chose to sit inside, but if it's a nice season, we'd like to have an outdoor table facing the lake. The shop has a glass enclosure that resembles a greenhouse, so you can enjoy the view outside even from inside. There is a wood stove in the center of the store, and it seems to be in operation during the cold season. The food is simple. I ordered 5 dishes, and it was a coincidence that 3 of them had the same sauce lol. It was delicious, and there were many other options, so I would like to try different dishes next time. The beer was also very tasty. The well-mannered clerk was charming and friendly.

Simply a great restaurant. The food was 10/10, as was the staff. The roast beef with onions and schnitzel were of very high quality, something you rarely find. The prices are perfectly reasonable for the quality. The ambiance is simply very cozy and modern, and the view of the water is, of course, the highlight. I can only recommend this place.

Absolutely, everything was great

Great beer garden right on the water and wonderful in the sun in the evenings. It's nice to sit in and the service was nice. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. The knuckle was tough, dry and unfortunately only slightly lukewarm. The pot of lard was actually impossible to eat because the crackling lard was ice cold and almost frozen. Unfortunately, frozen lard cannot be spread on bread; even after waiting 15 minutes, you could only break off pieces with a knife. Unfortunately it was nothing.

We came here for late lunch. Food: Tender beef with spätzle - Beef was not on the tender side, more on the beafy/tough side. I liked the spätzle, perfect texture to me, compliments the sauce (could be abit too salty on its own or with the beef) liked the caramelised onions and fried onions on the spätzle. Spätzle outshine the meat in this dish. Square pasta with potato cucumber salad - Everything is more on the vinegary side. Pasta tasted fresh but the fillings inside were also on the vinegary side. Not my kind of taste but others might like that. Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream - Texture of the cake was nice, more on the sweet side. I think the ice cream is the failure of this dessert. Ice cream was too icy, not creamy. Taste like some vegan ice cream I got back in Malaysia even though there’s milk and cream used in it. Also tasted way too sweet couldn’t identify the vanilla taste much. Service - service was okay. The guy who took our order were acting abit cool I guess. The other guy who helped with our payment was great, attentive enough to give us another spoon as we only got one pair of spoon and fork for our dessert when we were sharing it. Atmosphere - still a nice place to have dates by the river. I would come back for its ambience hoping they could also make better food to enjoy. Menu - available in multiple languages, make tourist life so easy

The waiter stole 5 euros from us at the time of the bill. Price according to the ticket 79.20 euros but the waiter found it useful to only give us 15 euros and coins, without asking our opinion. Lamentable!

We are regulars at this restaurant and have always appreciated the great food and service. However, we were recently treated rudely. Despite our email notification of our delay, our reserved table was taken after just 20 minutes. Although the staff eventually arranged another table for us, the man at the entrance handled the situation with a rather unpleasant attitude.

Very nice location which is divided into a much more modern area with a beautiful fireplace in the center of the room, and a very large classic and German style area, we went for a company meeting, recommended in the area

Wonderful meal! Amazing atmosphere and view But we were forced to pay the tipsby the server(can't tell who he is.) We chose not to pay the tip but the server moved back to start page and made us force to give tips. Giving us no choice but to choose from 5~15% Everything was amazing except this. And this was the last experience we had in the restaurant which made my whole feelings about the restaurant end up bad Be aware everyone.

We've been here three times now and I think that's it. In summer the beautiful location is distracting, in winter the essence (the food) unfortunately falls through. the beer was good. It was a shame it was cold in the room (the useless fireplace was out), a shame in January (?!). We ordered 4 different starters and 4 main courses: nothing special, or if it was rather negative, noticeably bad: dumplings, bland, sandy and lumpy hard. Unfortunately, the schnitzel tasted like it was fresh from the freezer. Has the management changed or slacked off drastically, or are you now just relying on the summer tourists?
