We were a group of five at the Constanzer Wirtshaus and had a beautiful table near the open fireplace. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The home-brewed beer was excellent, the food simply delicious, and we were delighted with the dessert! The attentive and friendly service deserves special mention; it made our evening perfect. A highly recommended place for a relaxing evening with delicious food and a great atmosphere!

We mainly based our decision on the positive reviews, which did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Very friendly service. Beautifully situated restaurant with a view of the Rhine and the old town. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for providing crayons and paper – it kept our daughter occupied.

The food was fantastic and the restaurant itself was really stylish, but the staff was simply incompetent. After about 15 minutes, the waitress came to our table to take our drink order. We ordered another drink and had to remind her several times. When the food arrived, the waiter simply placed the plates on top of our four-year-old daughters' drawings, which was absolutely disrespectful. No apology, no request for us to make room, and no question about where we could put the plates. He just wordlessly placed them on top of our daughters' drawings. Of course, we immediately told him that this was unacceptable, but there was no apology, only the explanation that they were very busy and didn't have time. When I asked for the bill, the waiter refused, saying it wasn't his responsibility. He kindly passed my request on to a colleague, who came to the table and inquired, but then also said that she wasn't responsible and would inform the right colleague. ... So, three staff members were needed for the card payment terminal. The restaurant was loud and the walls were thin. Just FYI, not a criticism. It's a real pub, after all. It's a real shame, because we would come back every week for the food, even with friends and family, but as it is, I can only advise everyone against it.

A very expensive restaurant with a good menu. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined compared to the price. Small portions, served with fried potatoes and beef fat. There wasn't much beef on the plate, and it consisted of warmed, unpeeled halved potatoes. My understanding of fried potatoes is quite different. The service, however, was friendly, quick, and competent.

I visited the Constanzer Wirtshaus today and I'm absolutely thrilled! The food was outstanding – fresh, perfectly balanced in flavor, and beautifully presented. You can immediately tell that they put their heart and soul into their cooking. I'd especially like to commend the friendly, attentive, and warm staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and exceptionally well cared for. The service was quick, professional, and pleasantly personal. For me, everything here is just right: the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend the Constanzer Wirtshaus!

The food wasn't good. I had beef roulade, the meat was dry, and my girlfriend had roast onions, which was full of mustard and too raw – inedible. What a shame! 👎

A very nice location. I've been there several times, both with a larger group and with my family. Unfortunately, good, traditional restaurants are becoming increasingly rare. They're either ridiculously overpriced or so pretentious that I just can't stand them. I prefer something down-to-earth. This place is perfect for that. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. The food is very good. The service is excellent. The price-performance ratio is also good. Since we rarely eat out anymore, it's perfectly acceptable.

Occasion: Christmas party, University of Konstanz The ambiance: very pleasant, cozy, and tasteful. We had a private room, the "Weinstube" (wine bar), which was simply wonderful. The service/staff: five out of five stars—very friendly, attentive, and simply perfect. A very special thank you goes to Ms. Alexandra Glas. There was absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the organization and communication with her. Emails were answered very quickly, and all requests (even the last-minute ones) were fulfilled without any problems. The food: highly recommended. We had a wide variety of dishes, and all our guests were more than satisfied. The location: right on the lake, very centrally located, easily accessible by bus, parking available, and there's also a parking garage nearby. In conclusion: We felt very comfortable, were exceptionally well looked after, and are already planning our next celebration at this fantastic restaurant right on the lake.

I've been to the beautiful city of Konstanz several times now, and a visit to the Constanzer Wirtshaus is always a must for me. The service is very friendly, and no matter what I've ordered, the portions are always generous and satisfying. The prices are reasonable, and everything I've eaten has been delicious. I hope the Wirtshaus stays open for a long time so I can continue to enjoy many more wonderful times there with my friends.

Pork knuckle with one dumpling, which wasn't very big; the knuckle itself was too small even for a grown man; the gravy tasted like too much tomato paste. No bread was served. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the meal.

I came in late Nov and it had plenty of seating but you can tell in the summer this place is probably very busy. The vesperplat (pictured), speck krautsalad (pictured) was so many delicious meats and cheeses, the ox was outstanding and had a little kick, and the schweizer wurstsalad was just a classic delicious salad. Their Helles local draft is great too. Staff was super nice and they have menus in multiple languages if you need. Doesn't feel too touristy. Beautiful views of the river. They're also open in the afternoon when many places close between lunch and dinner.

Highly recommended. We were lucky to get a table on a Sunday lunchtime without a reservation. We each had a salad as a starter and for our main courses, one was pork knuckle (very crispy and delicious), and the other was beef roulade. We were very satisfied. It's a lovely place and the service was quick.

The food was good, but I felt very sick afterwards. The service was so-so, and the atmosphere varies from place to place.

We had a proper German dinner. The restaurant is very large, which makes it a little less cozy. Otherwise, everything was great and very authentic.

Typical German food from the region with authentic beers. I went already several times with a booking a without and I had every time a good moment. I will definitely go back when someone is visiting me in Konstanz.

Delicious food, great view of the city and the Rhine.

I went there twice on October 28th and was very impressed both times. For lunch, I had the Fädlesuppe (a type of pasta soup) and Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), and for dinner, the Würzfleisch (a type of stew) and Zwiebelrostbraten (roast beef with onions). In the evening, there were five of us plus a toddler, and everyone was very impressed with the atmosphere, the service, and the food.

Just as you'd expect from a proper inn! We were served by a very friendly server. We got a table for four without a reservation.

I would have really liked to give it 5 stars. The food is excellent, the conservatory is beautiful and cozy. The service, however, was fast and very efficient, but at the same time unfriendly and cold. We were always greeted with an unfriendly and arrogant expression. We didn't feel welcome. That shows how important the human element is in a restaurant. Hopefully, things will change.

I find the food there very tasty. They also have their own good beer, which you should try. Very drinkable. Great view of the Rhine.

I really like Bavarian food. There were a few items on the menu that I ordered, but not what I ate in Bavaria: -Obazda-the cheese was good but served with black bread-not with pretzels. When I woke up they brought me 2 cold pretzels. -knuckles-the meat was well done but a bit tough (the pork was more mature than usual). -The rest of the food was excellent. Especially: -weisswurst -empire salad -pancakes with applesauce -ravioli -desserts The service from the waitress Anna was excellent.

It was absolutely amazing. The view was already superb. I chose the local fish accompanied by local vegetables.

Beautiful restaurant right on the Seerhein. A large beer garden, but also cozy inside. With a large fireplace in the center. Delicious food, with a changing daily special depending on the season. The Helle restaurant is one of the best in Konstanz and very reasonably priced for Konstanz prices. Kids aren't left out either, with food and a playground in the summer!

Very loud, as a single person you're ignored and placed at the bar. The food is okay, but not overwhelming, more like it's slapped on the counter like you'd find in a cheap cafeteria. The staff are completely overwhelmed.

Unfortunately, the vegetarian selection has gone very poorly. Bring back the potato schnitzel!

The schnitzel arrived two minutes after ordering. Service was incredibly fast, like in a cafeteria, and so was the schnitzel, which was as good as the ones in school cafeterias! Is this a restaurant? The waiter was polite and friendly.

During a week-long stay in Konstanz, I visited the inn twice and was satisfied both times. The food came quickly and the service was very good. It was quite noisy due to the building's construction, but overall, it was okay.

Beautifully situated on the water. Very popular, but so large that even without a reservation, we still found a nice table. A salad and a platter with various meats and cheeses were more than enough for dinner for two.

Food won’t blow you away, but this place is the definition of consistency. If you like the food, you’ll like it every time. It’s always served quickly and efficiently, and in a very beautiful location, in summer and in winter. Great for big groups, where even tables with 20+ guests are served all together, without having some guests waiting to eat while everyone else has finished. Overall, I’m happy to come back every now and then.

After our bike ride, we spontaneously stopped at the inn for lunch. We got a table outside without having to wait. The selection of dishes was very good. The schnitzel was really delicious, the potato salad a bit bland. The roast pork was very tender and very tasty, but unfortunately, the meal was served quite cold. The service was very good and quick. However, we wouldn't come here again for food. It was okay, but for the price, you can get better food elsewhere, and it's served warm. There's plenty of space for bicycles in front of the inn, but unfortunately, there are a few bike racks missing.

We had a pork knuckle and the fried chicken salad. The fried chicken was very juicy. Eleni was very attentive, and everything arrived on time, even though it was very busy.

Very nice establishment located on the banks of the Rhine, magnificent setting! The cuisine is excellent for me a pine forest beef with spetzel and for my wife and her sister duo of fish sucks with fennel excellent! Too bad the glass room is very noisy!
