I had a beef rollade with some spaetzle and cabbage...soooo... The shutter was just 7 centimeters long...Price 27.90...that's a joke...I won't go back in to eat...the beer is great...Brauhaus just...🤗

Visit at 20:00 on German Unification Day. This is a schnitzel restaurant. I couldn't drink the signature beer because it was sold out.

Brauhaus Joh. Albrecht, Konstanz Five of us were at the Brauhaus Joh. Albrecht in Konstanz at the weekend and had reserved a table in advance. Overall, we had a solid evening, with some positive but also some less pleasant moments. When we arrived, there was a sign telling us to wait until a member of staff showed us to our table (wait-to-be-seated principle). Unfortunately, we stood for about 4 minutes without any attention from the employees passing by. No eye contact, no “Good evening, we’ll be there for you” – unfortunately that spoiled the first impression. The order then went smoothly. The waiter was friendly and the drinks came quickly, which put us in a positive mood. However, there was a misunderstanding with the starters: We had explicitly asked whether the sausage salad could be served as a smaller starter, which was initially confirmed to us. Nevertheless, the regular portion was served and the waitress was obviously not informed about it. A plate was also forgotten and only brought when asked. Another point was the timing of the main courses. These were served while some of us were still busy with the starters, creating a hectic atmosphere. It would have been nice if more consideration had been given to when the table was cleared before the main course was served. The quality of the food was okay – typical brewery cuisine. However, there was a small disappointment with the onion roast: both were ordered “medium”, but came with different degrees of doneness. The atmosphere of the brewery is very pleasant, down-to-earth and rustic, as you would expect. It got quite loud at times, but that's part of a lively visit to a brewery and we felt comfortable. The staff was friendly, but when it came to fixing the starters they seemed a bit snippy and stressed. Overall, we had a nice evening, but some points fell short of our expectations. Therefore I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Comida muito fraca, boa cerveja e bom ambiente. Se quiser comer uma boa refeição, procure outro lugar. Comemos ribs extremamente secas, fish and chips estranhas com peixe congelado.

We were there on Thursday evening for schnitzel day and were satisfied. The portions are big enough, but there could be more sauce. The home-brewed beer is particularly tasty. We would actually recommend the restaurant!

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, während unseres 14-tägigen Urlaubs am Bodensee das Brauhaus zu entdecken. In dieser Zeit waren wir viermal dort essen und trinken und jedes Mal war es ein Highlight. Alle Biere, die wir probiert haben, schmeckten hervorragend, besonders das leckere Summer Ale Craftbeer, das war ein richtig gutes Bier. Die verschiedenen Speisen, die wir bei unseren Besuchen probierten, waren durchweg köstlich. Besonders die Schnitzel am Donnerstag, es war Schnitzeltag im Brauhaus – sie waren einfach mega lecker! Der Service war stets freundlich und sehr nett, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte. Wir können das Brauhaus wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

It's an insult to customers if they don't tell you the truth!! We were with you 2 months ago to buy the beer 2l was offered to us for €8 and €12 deposit. We bought 4 different ones. Now we wanted to return the 4 bottles and suddenly it said no. IT IS NOT A DEPOSIT BOTTLE! It's really a disgrace. Now I can throw €48 in the trash.

We asked the super friendly service what the John stands for. John is the answer. We got a place very quickly, despite the high volume and strong demand for places on the terrace. The food was excellent and the home-brewed beer is recommended. A recommended address for a successful evening.

For a 🍺 brewery, the span of more than 30 years is quite considerable. It has obviously been successful in getting local and regional guests excited about the home-brewed beers on the one hand and the wide variety of cold and warm dishes. Generous space on the ground floor. Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff! 😀 Toilet clean and tidy, hence all 5 stars! 👍

I tried the seasonal Summer Ale and it was mind-blowingly good. Completely uncarbonated as it should be and very flavorful. The food is great as well. Do not miss it if you're in Konstanz.

First you are ignored and three times. Eye contact doesn't help. Then placed the order, beer was ok, but I don't necessarily have to have it. No lasting impression, a shame and weak for a brewery. The schnitzel is below average, crispy, just short of dry and tough, it was hot and fries were sufficient. The pork knuckle died several times, a shame about the product. Sauerkraut not edible. Sauces from the bucket, greetings from Bielefeld from the doctor or Neckarsulm from Uncle Knorr. Worst. Absolutely bad. It's a shame, but in terms of price you're at the top. As if you were cooking deliciously... There is no beer garden atmosphere. Loveless and designed for mass tourism.

Leckeres Bier und Brauhausessen - nach einer Radtour nach Konstanz ist das Brauhaus immer gut. Draußen war noch ein Platz frei, unsere Tischreservierung wurde schnell angepasst

Ich haette gedacht daas vielleicht wegen des Anlasses( Geburtstag) das Restaurant etwas kleineres vorbereiten koennte. Leider nicht der Fall. Das Essen war ok, die Spaetzli fehlte Salz und umgekehrt war das Schweinshaxe ein bisschen zu salzig.

Habe einen Cheeseburger gegessen :) Mega saftiges Patty mit crunchigen Salat und Pommes mit Sauerteig Bun Alles perfekt ;)

The Brauhaus Johann Albrecht is an original German restaurant. The impressive interior with original beer kettles and a lot of history gives the place a special charm. When it comes to eating, you should opt for German dishes such as schnitzel. These are well portioned and not overloaded. The selection of local beers is very good and complements the dining experience. The service is friendly and attentive. The Kaiserschmarrn rounds off the visit perfectly and is a real treat.

Very nice brewery. Interior is beautiful with a view of the brewing kettles. Small, beautiful beer garden. We tested the brass, copper and hemp beer. We liked the hemp beer best. The beer bread with greaves was delicious. In our opinion, this brewery is recommended.

Maultaschen and trio dumplings were very tasty and plentiful. The dark copper was also very good. Food was and drinks were served quickly. The atmosphere with the cauldrons is also very nice and cozy. Unfortunately we missed taking photos.

One of the best breweries I have been to. It has a wide variety of beers and a decent menu. The schnitzel is good and served with a great cucumber salad. It is priced fairly and the quality of beer is good. Would go again when I visit Constanz.

Sehr ansprechendes Lokal mit leckerem Bier 🍺 🍺 freundlicher Bedienung, super Speisekarte.... Bratwurstschnecke mit Sauerkraut und Bratkartoffeln waren köstlich, das Schnitzel mit Biersoße und Bratkartoffeln ebenfalls empfehlenswert.

In 3 people we took the schweinshaxe, the lamb schnitzel and the käsespätzle. The schweinshaxe was really good and tender, not too greasy nor fat and the skin was really crunchy and tasty. The schnitzel and käsespätzle were also good but the cheese for the spätzle was a bit too strong in my opinion. The weissbier was extremely good.

Very nice restaurant with a nice ambience, the outside area is very nice and cozy. The service was very polite and attentive. The beer offered (wheat beer) was very decent and tasted good. Unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing; we had expected more. The sausage salad was bland in taste, and the bread wedges could have been larger or more. The cheese spaetzle was too runny and tasted decent, but nothing special. In terms of prices, we are in line with the local average

One of the oldest breweries in Germany. This place has lots of options in brewed/craft beers from 300ml to 15litres. The ambience is good and service was quick. There’s lot of sitting space including outdoor and indoor. Must visit this historic and iconic place in Konstanz.

So richtig toll schmeckt es nicht. Bayerische Küche außerhalb Bayerns ist eben so eine Sache. Wir waren mittags, unter der Woche da, da war wenig los. Personal wirkte etwas lustlos.

We ordered a knuckle, spare ribs and fish and chips. Waiting time about 30 minutes. The knuckle was wonderfully tasty, the spare ribs were a bit too greasy for me personally, but the fish and chips plate disappointed us. The service was very friendly and we clarified everything very friendly. Overall - good.

I went there for the first time in 1999 and regularly for the next 12 years. The food was perfect back then - unfortunately not so great today. The spare ribs were extremely fatty (50%) and the cheese spaetzle (looked really great) had a very unpleasant and strange aftertaste. We answered the waitress's question "did you like it" with "mixed" - and the waitress was gone. I can agree with my previous critics - the beer is perfect and unfortunately the only thing I would currently recommend. Sorry for the not so great review
