Restaurant Hohenegg in Konstanz

Das Restaurant ist schön gelegen, mit Blick auf den Bodensee. Die Speisekartenpreise sind deutlich höher, als auf der Website angegeben. Das Essen war sehr schnell fertig, nett dekoriert, es gab sehr wenig Gäste für einen Samstagmittag. Die Bedienung war nicht sehr freundlich und die Sauberkeit ließ zu0 wünschen übrig.

Wie der eine 4,6 haben kann ist mir auf jeden Fall ein Rätsel. Hatte Tafelspitz und mein Partner das gegrillte Putensteak. Die Kartoffeln waren komplett zerkocht, mehlig und haben moderig geschmeckt, der Tafelspitz war trocken und sah schon älter aus. Hinzu kommt das Gemüse was TK war und komplett ungewürzt. Hat mich alles an Krankenhaus Essen erinnert, was zum Teil besser ist. Dafür sind die Leute da ganz nett und die Aussicht auf der Terrasse ist auch ganz gut.

Wir waren im Restaurant Hohenegg essen und waren mit der Qualität der Speisen sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war wirklich lecker, die Portionen sind großzügig und gut bemessen. Etwas schade war nur, dass der Kellner es auch nach drei Versuchen nicht geschafft hat, einen funktionierenden Pfefferstreuer zu bringen – alle waren leer. Abgesehen davon aber ein schöner Besuch mit sehr guter Küche. Rechtschreibfehler in der Karte. Die wurde von einer Mitarbeiterin erstellt die meint es ist alles in Ordnung

Wunderschöne Aussicht auf See und Meersburg. Essen wird zügig serviert. Gute Auswahl Preise gehoben. Update Juni 26 Preise sind sehr gehoben für Standartküche. auf der Homepage snd noch die alten Preise. Aktuelle 10-15% höher!!!! Man geht da nur wegen der Aussicht hin. Service war freundlich

War am Sonntag 21.06.26 mit meiner Familie beim essen im Restaurant Hohenegg ! Wenn man in einen Restaurant geht, Möchtet man frische Produkte und nicht aus der Gefriere essen !!!! Hatte Cevapcici bestellt ! Das kann man nicht Cevapcici nennen ! Portion schön groß das stimmt aber alles aus der gefriere Cevapcici trocken , pommes fettig rich nach alten fridössen fett außer den Zwiebeln war nichts frisch. Im hinteren Bereich hörte man die Bedienung Die sich beschwerte bei den Gäste , Sie hat keine Zeit zum Pause machen, Sie hätte normal jetzt Pause. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Frau und Tochter haben Spätzle und Soße bestellt ,mein Gott keine Wörter zum erklären. 😬😬😬😬😞😞😞 Also kurz und Schmerz los !😰😱😱😱 Wenn man in ein Restaurant geht möchtet man frisch essen und nicht aus der gefriere ! Terrasse !? Schmutzig ungepflegt !! Schade so ein schöner Ausblick Dieses Restaurant kann ich nicht empfehlen !!!!💔💔

Ganz solide aber auch nichts besonderes.

Obwohl das Restaurant alles andere als günstig ist (rechnen Sie mit etwa 40 € pro Person), war der Service gut, das Essen lecker und wurde schnell zubereitet.

Ich war seit 3 Jahren das erste mal wieder dort. Schon vor 3 Jahren wurde unsere Rrservierung einfach vergessen/25 Pers. Aber es ging dann doch noch alles gut. Gestern waren wir zu zweit. Käsespätzle waren fein aber der Salat den es dazu gab ist extrem geschrumpft. Das Schnitzel meines Freundes war direkt auf den zu hellen und unknusprigen Pommes platziert. Ketchup gab es auf wunsch. Preise ziemlich saftig für die menge und Qualität. Nach dem bezahlen wollte mein Freunf noch einen Esspresso bestellen. Der eher unmotivierte Kellner verneinte dies..die Bestellung sei abgeschlossen und begab sich dann selber zum essen.!!!Unmöglich Die weibliche Bedienung am Anfang war nett. Am Schluss auch keine verabschiedung. Schade das sich das alles eher zum negativen geändert hat.

Wir wahren mit der Fam schon zum zweitenmal bei euch und kommen immer wieder gerne. Service Top wie auch das Essen👍😁.

Sie wirken, als würden sie sehr stark sparen. Der „Salat“, der zu meiner Ofenkartoffel serviert wurde, bestand aus einem einzigen Salatblatt. Besonders enttäuschend fand ich, dass die Speisekarte ein Bild eines abwechslungsreichen Salats mit verschiedenen Gemüsesorten zeigt – dadurch fühlte ich mich etwas getäuscht, da das tatsächlich servierte „Salat“-Angebot damit überhaupt nicht vergleichbar war. Nachdem sie meine Steak-Bestellung zweimal falsch zubereitet hatten, weigerten sie sich, die Bestellung zu stornieren, und machten mir ein schlechtes Gewissen, sodass ich den dritten Versuch essen musste (obwohl ich bereits um eine Stornierung gebeten hatte und sie ihn trotzdem komplett zubereitet haben). Die Aussicht ist 5/5, aber wenn Sie gesundes Essen oder Gemüse suchen, würde ich das Essen hier eher meiden.

Könnte ein Update gebrauchen Essen war okay aber etwas teuer

Cappuccino klein und sehr schwach. Der schwächste in der Region. Lediglich den Ausblick den man hier bezahlt.

Alle 5 Jahre kehren wir ein und jedes Mal freuen wir uns aufs neue 😊

Es ist alles so wie es sein soll. Es schmeckt, Personal ist nett und das Ambiente ist klasse.

Wirklich sehr feines Essen, tolle Lage und nettes Personal wir kommen sehr oft hier her ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Eine eindrucksvolle Aussichtslage sorgt dafür das man eigentlich nicht mehr sufbrechen möchte. Das Essen ist solide Hausmannskost.

Vielleicht waren wir zur falschen Zeit dort, aber die vielen guten Bewertungen können wir leider nicht bestätigen. Essen war ok, mehr aber nicht. Bratkartoffeln waren sehr fett, die Soße hat nach einer Fertigsauce geschmeckt. Lage ist schön, aber wir werden sicher nicht mehr kommen

Wir hatten gestern zu viert einen großartigen Abend im Restaurant. Die freundliche Dame vom Service überzeugte und das super leckere Essen sowieso. So macht Urlaub richtig Spaß. Danke, wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Der Ort wirkt wie in der Zeit des späten 20. Jahrhunderts stehen geblieben – sowohl die Einrichtung als auch die Musik spiegeln das wider. Trotzdem überzeugten uns die Außenterrasse mit Seeblick, die nahegelegenen Parkplätze und die Speisekarte mit Gerichten aus dem Balkan, dieses Café-Restaurant zum Mittagessen zu wählen. Wir mussten ziemlich lange auf unsere Bestellung warten; selbst die Getränke ließen etwa 15 Minuten auf sich warten. Die Gerichte (die wir dann endlich bekamen 😊) waren lecker, und das Fleisch war gut durchgebraten.

Ich habe hier die beste Forelle meines Lebens gegessen und werde sie woanders nicht mehr bestellen, um diese Erinnerung nicht zu verlieren. Danke dafür 🙏

Keine Ahnung, wie die 4.6 Sterne hier zustande kommen. Für uns war es jedenfalls eine absolute Enttäuschung. Wir hatten telefonisch für 11 Personen reserviert. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir gestresst und alles andere als freundlich empfangen. Direkt kam der Vorwurf, wir seien zwei Stunden zu spät – dabei hatte man schlicht unsere Gruppe verwechselt. Eine Entschuldigung? Fehlanzeige. Der Service war insgesamt völlig unorganisiert. Nachdem wir endlich sassen, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir etwa eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten müssten. Mit kleinen Kindern natürlich besonders toll… Als wir dann mit dem Chef sprechen wollten, sagte uns einer der Kellner tatsächlich, dass er gar nicht wisse, wer der Chef sei. Das spricht wohl für sich. Überhaupt wirkte das ganze Team komplett überfordert und unkoordiniert. Ein Kellner meinte sogar frustriert, dass er jetzt auch noch selbst Eis zubereiten müsse …einfach, weil offenbar alles drunter und drüber läuft. Ehrlich gesagt tat mir das Personal am Ende fast leid, weil die Überforderung so offensichtlich war. Trotzdem: Für uns war das ein sehr enttäuschender Besuch. Ich kann dieses Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen ist super, das Personal freundlich und humorvoll, die Aussicht auf den Bodensee ein Traum! Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants! Können wir nur empfehlen.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr gutes Essen, Wartezeit extrem kurz ,was auf eine gute Vorbereitung in der Küche schließen lässt. Immer wieder spontan ein Platz, sehr schöne Lage am See. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Hier kann man sehr gut essen und den Blick auf den Bodensee genießen. Große Portionen, frische Qualität, angenehmer Service und gemütliches Ambiente. Der Küchenchef schaut noch selbst nach den Gästen. Gut bürgerlich und schöne Auswahl an Gerichten.

nach einem Besuch der Therme brauchten wir noch ein gutes Mittagessen. Wir kamen erst 13:35 Uhr dort an und haben erstklassigen Service und ebenfalls erstklassiges Essen erhalten. Das Bier von der Brauerei nebenan ist sehr schmackhaft, Tafelspitz zerging auf der Zunge, Schweinelende bestens gegrillt, mega saftig, der Nachtisch Panna Cotta einfach perfekt. unglaublich aber wahr, später kam noch der Chefkoch persönlich an den Tisch und erkundigte sich, ob alles gut sei. Man traute seinen Augen und Ohren nicht. Wo gibt es so etwas heute noch? Nirgends. Hier ist man als Gast noch wirklich willkommen. Absolute Empfehlung.

Mein Tafelspitz, Fleisch OK, Meerrettichsoße langweilig, Kartoffeln wässrig und das Gemüse war zu Tode gekocht und wässrig. Einfache Mensa Qualität. Wenn die Küche nur annähernd so gut wäre wie der Service, würden wir wieder kommen.

An einem verregneten Februar-Montagabend eine Oase am See gefunden. Sehr leckeres Essen und aufmerksame Bedienung. Gut gewürzt und für die, die mehr brauchen war alles da. Die Kinder vom Nebentisch wurden ebenfaöls sehr aufmerksam bedient. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren im Restaurant Hohenegg und sind absolut begeistert! Trotz unserer wetterbedingten Verspätung wurden wir unglaublich freundlich empfangen. Der Chef war so herzlich und hat uns sogar erlaubt, mit unserem Wohnmobil auf dem Parkplatz zu stehen – das ist wirklich nicht selbstverständlich! Das Essen war hervorragend: große Portionen, wunderschön angerichtet und geschmacklich einfach ein Traum. Alles war frisch, lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Chef und das gesamte Team sind außergewöhnlich nett, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Ein rundum perfekter Besuch – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Absolute Empfehlung!

Das Mozart Steak war perfekt! Die Rahmsoße und Pommes auch! Die Salatsoße (für mein Geschmack) etwas zu viel. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Die Lage ist mit schönem Ausblick auf den See. Große Terrasse zum Verweilen.

The premises are comfortably traditional, just as you'd expect in this area. Very clean and cozy. The food is excellent in both quality and portion size. We were there again today, this time as a group, and as always, the service was very friendly and attentive. The chef still personally visits each table and asks for our preferences. The food was good, the location is right on Lake Constance and you can look out at the lake and the ferry.

A place you always enjoy going to, arriving at, and staying in. Friendly and attentive service, good food (even special requests are accommodated), a fantastic view of Lake Constance and the Alps, and plenty of parking for visitors. It's good to know there are still places that stay!

We've been here for several Christmas parties and the food was always excellent. Service is prompt and attentive, cordial, personal, and pleasant. Vegetarian options available (haven't tried them, assume they are also good). Parking available directly at the restaurant. Beautiful location with lake view when seated at the windows towards the front.

A truly wonderful and incredibly cozy restaurant. The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is sensational and delicious. The dessert was a sweet dream. I found the prices very fair. A great location in Konstanz, and I can highly recommend it. ^^ I would suggest making a reservation. Very tasty food, which came quickly. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Even the chef came several times to check if everything was okay. We had roast beef with onions, salad, boiled beef, and cheese spaetzle. The view was very nice! Dog-friendly too.

An old-fashioned restaurant with no frills, and a rather old-fashioned menu. It was our choice to come here, and we weren't disappointed. So, be careful with the portions; they're old-fashioned and generous. The service is impeccable, with helpful staff and such speed. It just goes to show that sometimes "old-fashioned" can be a good thing. I almost forgot about the terrace, which offers a beautiful view of Lake Bodensee.

We stopped twice and received friendly service. The burger at the snack bar was very good, and the fresh beer is also recommended. The ambiance in the pub is a bit dated, and they could improve it with a little effort. For example, removing the weeds on the terrace. The small beer garden next door, on the other hand, is lovely.

More could be done from the place. Unfortunately, the meats in 2 main courses were not cooked well, they remained tough. The place is not bad, but it could be improved for 5*.

The food was good and plentiful. The service was very unfriendly. We tried to put two tables together, but the polite lady told us not to. Drinks were taken before everyone was even seated. When the food arrived, it was also a complete mess. We won't be coming back here.

Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment for me. The service is really poor, which you can tell right from the moment you make the reservation. Very unfriendly. We all found the food rather mediocre, but the prices were rather high. In my opinion, it wasn't a very good restaurant with a good location. There were three of us, and unfortunately, we were all disappointed.

One star is for the view over the parked cars to the lake. They charge 24 euros for a few minced meat rolls with rice and salad, which is absolute extortion. For that, you get ink and chairs with cushions from a 1-euro store.

We don't understand the previous 4.6-star rating. The only positive aspects were the quick seating and the locally brewed beer and house wine – more of which could have been used to offset the waiter's mood. Everything was served correctly; there's nothing to complain about...but it doesn't deserve the designation "service." The main issue – the food. It tasted more like it had been warmed up, was only lukewarm, and poorly presented. The decor also seems very dated – if we weren't in Konstanz, I'd easily use the phrase "GDR charm." One positive aspect is the location directly on the lake.

🍽️ Great view, but disappointing food 2 out of 5 stars The Hohenegg restaurant in Meersburg entices with a truly beautiful view of the lake and friendly staff – but unfortunately, that's about it. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't impress us with its food during our visit. The prices are quite high – €29 for a steak assumes a certain level of quality. Unfortunately, the meat was tough, undercooked, and overall, the flavor was simply not harmonious. The other dishes didn't quite satisfy us either. For three people, we paid over €100 for food and drinks – that would have been fine in principle if the culinary experience had matched it. However, the value for money was disappointing. Conclusion: A plus for the view and friendly service, but if you value good food, you won't be happy here.

The grilled meat, as well as the cewapcici and pljeskavica, were raw. The waitress didn't bring us a new drink when a wasp flew into the glass. She took it out with a knife and returned the glass to us. Not recommended.

First of all, the beer was delicious. We didn't have any food, as the kitchen closes at 9 p.m., so we only had the beer. The ambiance is very, very "old school." Only the view earns the ambiance two stars. Service was good and friendly. But, as I said, it was only two beers.

It's a traditional restaurant with a beautiful view, so the service must not be good. From hair in the food, to raw chicken, stringy salads, dirty plates, to incompetent and uninterested waiters. They are actually quite unfriendly and rude. The head chef looks tired and, as per protocol, greets the large tables, but shows no real interest. He even seems absent-minded. I've known this restaurant for 10 years and unfortunately it has gone from bad to worse. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. The prices are far too high for the quality.

We passed by on our bike ride and spontaneously stopped in without anything to eat, just a drink. We received a super-friendly welcome and were served very quickly and friendly, even without anything to eat. Very courteous service. We would definitely stop here again.

Less pleasing was the handling of the food order: There was an obvious error, resulting in the wrong dish being brought out. However, the waiter reacted unprofessionally and insisted that "Pumukel" was written on his note, even though he actually meant "Pokemon." (A portion of fries instead of spaetzle with sauce.) No accommodation or solution was offered. We simply reordered the correct one. The meal itself had its ups and downs. The children's portion was generous and would have been enough for an adult. The main courses ranged in price from €22 to €40, which raises expectations of quality that were unfortunately not met: The chicken curry was disappointing – the rice still had too much bite, the chicken was tough, and with five small pieces (approx. 100g), the portions were rather lean. Some of the pork loins were also undercooked; only one was okay (schnitzel with egg and fried potatoes). The only real plus point of the evening was the fantastic view from the terrace – a great place for a sunset or coffee, but unfortunately not a convincing place for a good dinner.

The food came very quickly, but was fresh and delicious.

The atmosphere resembled that of a youth hostel and gave us a very bad feeling. The fries were reminiscent of a visit to an outdoor pool – bad, but better than nothing. The price of €6.80 shocked me. Overall, the food was very bland and tasted like it had been reheated; not recommended. Poor value for money. And our request to sit outside was also not honored – but when we left the restaurant, other guests had been granted the option. It's a shame – especially considering you pay high prices for a location directly on Lake Constance. Although we were at the Rhine Falls that same day, it wasn't the biggest disappointment of the day.

I found the service a bit minimalist. No smiles. We weren't escorted to our table when we were greeted. The chairs didn't have cushions, which I had to arrange. I also called ahead and was told there was space, but only outside, which I wasn't told. The food was good. The children's menus, however, aren't as creative...

Food and service top, schnitzel freshly prepared, fried potatoes just right. Perfect view of the lake. People who leave negative reviews here must be incredibly demanding or incredibly unlucky.

Disappointing experience - not recommended The value for money was disappointing. The staff seemed unfriendly and unhelpful. When we asked for a child seat, we were simply told that one was available - but we had to get it ourselves. Overall, the food was unspectacular and unconvincing. The ice cream sundae as a dessert was particularly negative: the ice cream tasted cheap and was very reminiscent of discount goods - not the quality you would expect in a restaurant. A repeat visit is out of the question for us.

A quick stop during a motorcycle tour for a Swiss sausage salad with mustard dressing and bread, with non-alcoholic wheat. Fast friendly service, food was good. Atmosphere outside a bit dated, but OK.

We enjoyed the parking spaces of the Ruppaner brewery in beautiful surroundings (but only after the not so beautiful factory complex. The restaurant is cozy. The interior is well maintained, an older style. Especially beautiful. The food was very fine. Enjoy cheese spaetzle and beef liver with a view of Lake Constance... wonderful.
