Sonntag morgen Brunch.....das Buffet war wirklich nur spärlich. Der Bacon und die Würstchen waren so salzig dass man sie nicht essen konnte. Keine Bedienung kam zu unseren Tisch und hätte auch nur einmal gefragt was war haben möchten oder ob sie uns noch was bringen können. Wir haben dann noch zwei Mal Rühreier bestellten für zwei verschiedene Personen und haben gebeten sie auf zwei Teller zu bringen was total ignoriert wurde. Als ich nachgefragt habe warum gab manie als Antwort "das ist so wie die Küche es macht"....Tolle Antwort. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin....das war das letzte Mal.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit sehr aufmerksamen, freundlichen und kompetenten Service. Die Speisen und Getränke kamen sehr zügig und waren äußerst schmackhaft. Absolute Empfehlung und jederzeit wieder.

Sehr freundlicher Ober, der Änderungen an die Küche zuverlässig weitergegeben hat. Der Innenhof war gut beschattet. Die Kleinigkeiten, die wir bestellt haben kamen schnell und waren lecker.

Einfach nur Top! Egal ob das schöne Ambiente (vor allem draussen im Garten) - oder der freundliche Service - oder die Leckereien von ihrer Karte - immer wieder ein Erlebnis!

Schönes Café, leckerer Kuchen, nettes Personal und schöner Garten.

Zentral gelegen und schön eingerichtet, lädt der Innenhof im Sommer zum Verweilen ein. Der Service ist freundlich. Das Essen rechtfertigt jedoch nicht den Preis. Bei einem Geschäftsessen bestellte ich als Vorspeise Thunfisch-Sashimi: Es war offensichtlich direkt aus der Tiefkühltruhe, noch kalt und geschmacklos und in einer viel zu salzigen Soße ertränkt. Als Hauptgang war die Kalbsleber (26 €) zwar in Ordnung, aber überteuert, insbesondere in Kombination mit einer so günstigen Beilage wie Kartoffelpüree. Sie wurde medium (innen rosa) serviert, was akzeptabel ist, aber ich wurde nie nach meinem Gargrad gefragt. Das Safranrisotto meiner Kollegin war mit Chili überzogen, der den Safrangeschmack völlig überdeckte. Warum sollte man eine so feine (und teure) Zutat so verfälschen? Angenehmes Ambiente, aber ich würde nicht freiwillig wiederkommen.

Einem Leckeren Kaffee steht hier nichts im Wege. Nettes Personal, und ein wundervolles Ambiente. Der Aussenbereich in diesem Restaurant ist fast schon einzigartig.

Seit Jahren (leider) mal wieder zum Mittagessen hier gewesen, dummerweise der Currywurst wegen. Dies war definitiv und optionlos rot und die Pommes dazu waren bockhart. Sorry Anselm aber jede Pommesbude kann das besser.

Modernes Ambiente, abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte mit kleinen und großen Gerichten. Der Tintenfisch war lecker, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte unserer Meinung nach nicht ganz. Er war außerdem etwas zu trocken. Anschließend aßen wir beide köstliche gebratene Leber. Es gibt dazu passende, feine Weine, die auch auf der preiswerten Karte zu finden sind. Zum Glück wurde die Beleuchtung im Laufe des Abends etwas gedimmt. Freundlicher Service.

10/10 Punkten. Empfehlung: Tapas-Bereich. Unglaublich freundlicher Service, kulinarischer Genuss und unvergessliches Ambiente. Wir danken dem ganzen Team für dieses besondere Erlebnis und kommen bei nächsten Konstanz-Besuch gerne wieder!

Wir waren zu 5.in der Remise zu Tapas u.Wein...wir sind alle begeistert. Die Tapas,sensationell! Man kann sich aus 4 oder 8 Tellern seinen eigenen Tapas Ablauf zusammenstellen. Wir hatten den 4-Gänger für 30 Euro und waren richtig satt, wir mussten den span.Käsekuchen zu 5.teilen, weil er keinen Platz mehr hatte.🤣 Das Ambiente der Remise...WUNDERSCHÖN! Tapas, wie ich sie in Konstanz noch nie gegessen habe. Total schön im Hinterhof des Restaurants ist eine rustikal modern ausgebaute Scheune, wo man es sich gut gehen lassen kann. Der Koch persönlich hat uns die einzelnen Tapas erklärt, jedes war einzigartig lecker:) wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren für Kaffee und Kuchen dort, leider war die Auswahl sehe eingeschränkt und davon vieles bereits ausverkauft. Die Zimtschnecken waren leider die kleinsten, die ich je gesehen habe und wären besser als Zimtplätzchen bezeichnet worden. Dementsprechend leider auch deutlich zu teuer. Der Service war okay, aber weder besonders aufmerksam noch besonders freundlich. Alles in allem okay, wir werden aber nicht nochmal wiederkommen.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und schmackhaften Abend im Wessenberg. Das Personal war soo sypatisch und aufmerksam das man sich gleich willkommen und wohl fühlt.. Das Essen war Fantastisch. Sehr zu Empfehlen das Rindstatar! Aber auch der Saibling was sehr fein. Danke an die mega lieben Mitarbeiter für den super Service und die Flexibilität an die Küche wegen den extra Wünschen meines Mannes . Wir haben es sehr genossen bei euch und kommen bald wieder:)

Waren nur dort um uns etwas aufzuwärmen und was zu trinken aber dann wurde doch ein zweites Frühstück draus Bedienung unheimlich freundlich, die Weißwürste mit Brezeln lecker Alles in allem hab ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt dort Kann man empfehlen

Sehr gemütlich, nettes Personal und Getränkpreise sind in Ordnung.

Mittlerweile muss man sich mal hinterfragen warum man in Deutschland noch essen geht, die Preisspirale ist schon genauso hoch wie in der Schweiz und jetzt kommt es..... in der Schweiz ist es sogar noch günstiger, siehe Weinfelden zum Löwen der einen Michelinstern hat wird man sogar noch besser versorgt. Unglaublich aber wahr.

Wir waren kurz hintereinander zweimal im Wessenberg, einmal am frühen Nachmittag und nächstes Mal mittags. Obwohl die Fischknusperli mit Salat auf der Speisekarte eigentlich erst ab 16h verfügbar sind, wurden sie uns trotzdem auch um ca. 14h serviert. Beim Nachtisch war es auch kein Problem ein Stück Schwarzwäldertorte zu zweit zu teilen 💯 und die Bedienung war auch sehr nett, also planen wir zukünftig gerne weitere Besuche. Das Restaurants ist in verschiedene Räume unterteilt und hat auch eine Bar. Für den Sommer gibt es den Innenhof zum draussen zu sitzen. Das Wessenberg liegt in der Fußgängerzone, ganz in der Nähe des Münsters.

Das war leider das schlechteste Fondue, das ich je gegessen habe. Statt einer cremigen Käsemischung kam eine dicke, fast pappige Käsesauce auf den Tisch, die nach billigem Schmelzkäse geschmeckt hat – wirklich gruusig. Das Ambiente war zudem sehr laut, so dass man sich kaum unterhalten konnte. Das Einzige, was überzeugt hat, war der Service: sehr freundlich und bemüht, dafür ein grosses Kompliment ans Team.

Top Service, schönes Ambiente, Essen leider zu teuer. Wir hatten kurzfristig noch einen Platz in der neuen (alten) Remise fürs Käsefondue erhalten. Das Ambiente war super, auch wenn man für die Toiletten über den Innenhof musste. Für den Winter ein sehr schönes Plätzchen. Der Service war sehr gut - sehr aufmerksam, hat auch nach Allergien gefragt. Gestartet wurde mit einem Feldsalat mit Walnüssen und Orangendressing. Das Käsefondue war an sich auch sehr lecker. Allerdings hätte ich mir etwas mehr Beilagen gewünscht. Dazu gab es leider nur Brot, mixed Pickles, Kartoffeln und einen Zwiebelsalat. Das Ganze ist bei einem stolzen Preis von 41,50€ pro Person leider zu wenig. Deshalb beim Essen nur zwei Sterne.

Der Brunch ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Besondere Buffet Auswahl abseits des Standards und die warmen Gerichte (Eier+ kleine warme Gerichte) direkt aus der Küche sind wirklich ein super Konzept. Preis Leistung stimmt!

That's never happened to us before. Our portions were so small that we had to go out for a proper meal. Unfortunately, we can't endorse other reviews regarding enjoyment either. Oh well, we're one experience richer.

I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant by chance yesterday at lunchtime. Spaghetti from the daily menu with salad. Delicious local wine and a good cappuccino. The food was good. Beautifully presented. The service was excellent. The staff were also very friendly to my dachshund. A perfect break.

Very friendly and prompt service, an extensive buffet with a wide selection, including hot dishes. The price-performance ratio is absolutely excellent. A wonderful, large courtyard. The location directly across from the Minster in Konstanz's old town is hard to beat.

It's something special to sit outside in the courtyard, comfortably under the parasols, and enjoy the delicious food. And the service from the well-coordinated, friendly team... simply superb!

Great restaurant, you can sit in the courtyard; the coffee was good; service was unfortunately very poor; it wasn't busy, and yet we had to wait a long time until our order was taken – after repeated inquiries; it was similar for paying; so – service could be improved considerably, the ambience and space were very nice.

We liked the service, as well as the location, open-air, and a beautiful day. The German food was also good, although since they didn't have a Spanish menu, we didn't have enough battery left on our phones to translate the dishes, and what we ordered turned out not to be what we were looking for, but they were friendly.

Even after three years, this is still the best sausage salad I've ever eaten. The cheese dumplings are also highly recommended. There's a beautiful outdoor area at the back.

Very tasty food in a beautiful courtyard

Beautiful restaurant with a great courtyard! Unfortunately, the service staff are sometimes inattentive and unfriendly. We weren't served the menu until 25 minutes later, after repeated requests. Dishes were forgotten, and this wasn't acknowledged at all. Unfortunately, the food is hardly homemade—much of it is—immediately noticeable—store-bought. A shame!

The caramelized onions in the burger were too salty. The dumplings in the mushroom ragout were also very salty. When we shared our comments, we were only told that they were going to talk to the chef. Additionally, we asked for a little bread and for 4 tiny baguette slices, they charged us €3.50. When I questioned this ridiculous price, I was told that this price is for unlimited bread which we definitely didn’t order. Although the atmosphere is good, does not worth the price at all.

Set in a beautiful courtyard, this is a truly lovely place to stop in the summer. Unfortunately, it's not available in the winter. But even inside, it's definitely worth a visit. A good choice. One that I'd revisit on a second visit. The service was really slow and the drinks were poor. The prices are noticeably rising.

Peeking by chance from the street I saw tables and chairs in a green interior courtyard. It brought back memories of Japan and the French Riviera. My curiosity was such that I quickly found myself in the middle of this Provençal-style place decorated with multiple Mediterranean topiaries, beautiful tables with sun-beaten wood, the old stones of the library mixed with contemporary architectural elements and high-tech shade sails. I ate well there and everything that was brought to the other customers seemed delicious and fresh. The friendly staff provides good and professional service. The prices are very reasonable. It is a beautiful, quiet place and, if one day I came back to Constance I would gladly stop there again. Probably with the only regret of not finding the precious and charming smile of this lovely waitress who lit up this moment of my vacation.

We had a pastry and coffee there, but it didn't taste like anything. It's hard to say what it was.

Satisfied my hunger in the rainy afternoon. Salad plate with two fish crisps (I would have eaten one more ;-)) and spaetzle, also topped with plenty of mixed salad – everything was top-notch.

A very nice restaurant! The service is beyond perfect. They weren't pushy, knew exactly when we wanted something or needed advice, and always arrived at the perfect time. The food was absolutely divine! We will definitely be back!

Bad-tempered waiters ruin every meal. I was there with my friend. First and last time.

One star for the ambiance, which is great, and one for the service, since they can't be held responsible for everything. We were looking forward to a lovely evening, but unfortunately, choosing this restaurant was a mistake. What a pity. The quality of the food at these prices is very poor. The steak was overcooked, the fries were left in the fryer too long, and you'd expect something different from the spaetzle. Perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed or had other things to do, as there were still a few tables available. The wine selection was very good. What a pity. Perhaps we'll return another time, if there are no alternatives in town.

I highly recommend the salad with crispy fish; I enjoy it again and again. The staff and service are charming, courteous, and very attentive. I'm delighted that they now also offer a non-alcoholic pale ale, which is great in the summer in the beautiful courtyard.

The restaurant is centrally located and features a beautiful courtyard, which offers pleasant seating in the summer thanks to the shade. The menu has something for everyone, from meat to vegan, and the lunch menu also offers these at very reasonable prices.

The service and ambiance are simply fantastic—especially in the summer, when you want to treat yourself to a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's great that there's always a vegan option on the lunch menu. I rarely find that otherwise.

The Wessenberg Restaurant boasts a great location with a lovely outdoor area in the quiet courtyard, which is particularly pleasant on sunny days. The brunch buffet offers a wide selection of different dishes, including fresh egg dishes and à la carte lunches – there's something for everyone here. The service was okay, but not particularly attentive, which somewhat detracts from the overall impression. A little more attention would have improved the experience. An important note for summer: The food at the buffet is not refrigerated, which is especially problematic in warm temperatures. The white sausages were only lukewarm and therefore didn't seem quite fresh. Overall, a nice place with a good selection, especially recommended during the cooler months.

Every time I go there, I think to myself, I have to go there more often. You can experience the perfect summer evening in the impressive courtyard, which is truly unique in Konstanz. The menu is concise, but the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and welcoming.

A varied menu, for all tastes. The staff is always available and smiling. Sunday brunch is a classic (for groups of more than 2 people, I recommend booking). The summer terrace, on the other hand, is an oasis in the city.

It is simply beautiful to eat in this courtyard. The ambience is wonderful. If you eat in Konstanz, then eat there.

I can't rate the food, but I can rate the subpar service when making the reservation. Booked a table online 10 days ago for Easter Monday at lunchtime and got it confirmed. On Easter Sunday there was an online inquiry as to whether the reservation would remain valid. Then on Easter Monday shortly before noon I asked by phone whether it would stay that way and that they would only have brunch that afternoon. There was and is no sign of this in the restaurant or on the homepage. On the contrary: according to the weekly menu, there is even a normal lunch menu today, Easter Monday. No, thank you: the first and last chance wasted...

Nice interior, delicious cakes, friendly staff. What's annoying - and not the ladies in service can't help it - is that there's a man in charge of the restrooms who keeps them clean. There's also a note on the wall referring to the friendly gentleman: Note that guests can of course use the restrooms for free, but that he would still appreciate a donation. I usually leave my bag and everything at the table. (Unless I'm alone.) I found it very unpleasant that I didn't have any money with me. Whether I give something or not is my decision, of course. But if I do, it's annoying having to walk through two doors and past the building back to the table, then back to the restrooms and then back to the table again.

First, the positive: The courtyard is very nice. Service: We had to wait a long time for the menu. Worse: The drinks didn't arrive until well after the main course. Dessert arrived after we asked twice. Quality: The goat cheese salad consisted of two small pieces of cheese and a few green leaves. The cheese wasn't cooked. The standard sauce didn't go well with the goat cheese at all. The bread was stale.

We went out to dinner this evening, hoping for an enjoyable end to the day. We ordered tender perch fillets in beer batter with potato salad for €23.90 and received six nuggets with potato salad a few minutes later. Whether the nuggets actually contained fish couldn't be confirmed; the "amount of fish" was hidden in homeopathic doses in the batter, with no flavor at all. When the waiter asked if everything was okay, I replied that I would describe what was served as fast food. He simply replied that they were "Knusperle" (crispy fish). Had I ordered "Knusperle"? Conclusion: We feel completely ripped off – two fish nuggets with two glasses of wine and a bottle of water for €63. I'm happy to pay a reasonable price for a decent meal, but the quality in this restaurant isn't bad; it's simply a disgrace. It's a shame about the lovely ambiance.

The food was very tasty, but we were left with a ton of half-full drinks. That's unacceptable. Addendum: That was probably just the server's fault.

Cafe and restaurant centrally located in Konstanz. Less than three minutes from the train station and the lake with its ferry terminal. You have to order food and drinks at the counter. Long wait times during rush hour... Around 8 a.m., you can still sit comfortably in soft leather armchairs and enjoy your meal without much hustle and bustle.

The overall assessment is mixed: While the food portions are generous, their quality could be improved to raise them above average. The wine, however, is good. The service is fast and friendly, and while the interior is cozy with lots of wood, the noise level is very high. The prices are rather high considering what's on offer.

I've eaten here several times. The menu is fantastic and the food is excellent. The staff is friendly and you feel completely at home.

Käseknöpfle is something you must definitely try, all the flavours are amazing. Salad are the best we’ve eaten, especially dressing. Waiters are great, atmosphere is cozy and very nice. Super expierence !

We were in spring 2024 at this place for a breakfast. We were seated at a table in the courtyard. The food was delicious, and came quickly. The staff was very efficient and helpful. All in all was a nice experience. Highly recommended 👍🏼😀

I came here with colleagues to eat fondue. Everything was quite nice, but the fondue was nothing special, and when the bill came, I was speechless: €38.50 per person!!, without drinks. And after almost three hours, we had to leave the table. That was definitely the last fondue I'll have here, if I ever come back.

Our Wessenberg has always been good. I've been coming since My training at the judiciary and that was a really long time ago...but the espresso today was particularly good...really comparable in quality the one in Zurich on Bahnhofstrasse in the shop at the roaster. Sunday brunch with a very rich buffet that left nothing to be desired. Very friendly and fast service. Very cozy atmosphere. Very clean. Reservation recommended as it is very busy.

Unfortunately, the coffee and chai were just bad, the cake was very mediocre. The waitress was probably not in a good mood and skillfully ignored our wave to pay. The absolutely terrible condition of the toilets (one broken, three badly dirty/piss-filled, only one with toilet paper and quite smelly) rounded off the picture.

Unlike last time, we were billeted indoors. Logical, autumn and cool. The Sunday brunch was varied and tasted great. Some with special dishes, but it was worth trying. Space on the table for two was a bit tight. The same was always true for “through traffic”. The star deduction for service applies to the inconsistent prices (for brunch) on the website. Different prices are listed there. Please clean it up! In short: a visit to Wessenberg is absolutely recommended.

We had a drink on Saturday, September 14th. The service was very friendly. Drinks were served quickly. We'd be happy to come again.

The menu sounds good, but our meal was mediocre, too expensive for the price. We had the mushroom goulash, which was more of a béchamel sauce than a mushroom flavor. The fish crisps had too much batter, and the potato salad was too salty. It's a shame; we won't be going back.

Posto decisamente teutonico con un sapore antico. Cibo passabile e prezzi modici. Simpatica la signora che ci ha servito e, anche se parlava esclusivamente tedesco, ci siamo intesi ugualmente.

We were there for the first time today. We received a very friendly welcome and were quickly shown to a free table. The waitress who served us was super accommodating and very quick. The food (cheese dumplings) arrived quickly and was also very tasty. We finished off with a New York cheesecake. We had to wait about 10 minutes for it, which was a bit long, but not a big deal. When the cake finally arrived, we were repeatedly apologized for the wait and given a free coffee. It was absolutely unnecessary, but it shows that customer service is a top priority here. We would definitely eat here again!
