Restaurant Steg 4 in Konstanz

Wir haben 9 Tage in Konstanz verbracht und waren 3x dort. Wir haben dort gegessen und getrunken. Man sitzt dort sehr schön, der Service ist aufmerksam und es läuft schöne Chillout Musik. So weit so gut. Schaut man allerdings auf die Feinheiten und die Sanitären Einrichtungen dann ist der positive Eindruck schnell verflogen. Bei unserem Besuch gab es weder auf der Herren, noch auf der Damen Toilette funktionierende Seifenspender noch Seife. Auf dem Herren WC war zudem ein WC Sitz gebrochen. Ich habe den Service darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dies schien allerdings keinen zu interessieren. Als wir gegessen haben und um Knoblauch und etwas Schärfe für die Pizza gebeten haben wurde uns vom Service zwei Fläschchen mit eigens angesetzten Öl hingestellt. Beide hatten ein Etikett aus einer Etikettiermaschine mit der Aufschrift Balsamico. Die Etiketten hingen nur noch am seidenen Faden. Das Knovlauchfläschchen hatte eine undefinierbare Masse als Bodensatz. Das hatte nichts mit frischem Knoblauch zu tun. Ich habe nichts davon probiert, mein Freund war furchtloser. Das wäre er besser nicht gewesen. Alles in allem eine schöne Lokation. Allerdings habe ich jetzt gesehen das hier 250 Bewertungen wegen "Verleumdung" gelöscht wurden. Ich kann den Inhabern nur raten diese Energie in den eigenen Laden zu stecken. Das ist sinnvoller. Ich habe die Zustände mit Fotos dokumentiert auch dem zuständigen Gesundheitsamt gemeldet. Da ich die Vorgehensweise dieser Gastronomen bereits kenne habe ich alle Rechnungen bzw. Quittungen behalten und auch mit Fotos dokumentiert wann wir zu Gast waren.

Lecker Essen! Top Bedienung! Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Reichenauer Fischknusperle. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Ein wunderbarer Ort um einfach die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

Der Service war sehr gut… leider waren es so viele Fliegen… oh je! Die Rechnung war etwas hoch, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Die Portion war großzügig!

Meine Bewertung gilt ausschließlich dem Betreiber. Der Keller war sehr freundlich und das Ambiente ist natürlich wunderschön. Dafür natürlich auch saftige Preise. Aber das weis man im Vorfeld. Ein No Go ist: Für seine zahlenden Gäste auch noch 1 Euro für die Toilettennutzung zu verlangen ist eine Frechheit und eigentlich auch nicht erlaubt. Zumindest den Gästen sollte die Toilette kostenlos zugänglich gemacht werden.

Service war ok , aber für 0,2l StillWasser , was eigentlich zu Kaffe bestellt wurde finde ich 3,9€ zu teuer. WC war nicht sauber.

Sehr gute Pizza. Service top. Beim Gewitter wurde uns ein Schirm geschenkt, damit unser Baby auf dem Heimweg nicht nass wird. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Tolle Lage, leckeres Essen, guter Service

Eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung und definitiv kein Restaurant, das ich wieder besuchen würde. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass die Lage selbst nicht zu den schönsten der Gegend zählt, was aber teilweise auch an unserer Wahl lag. Leider hat das Essen den Abend noch verschlimmert. Wir bestellten ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes frites und zwei Saiblingsfilets mit Basmatireis. Das Schnitzel war extrem fettig, ebenso die Pommes, und die Fleischqualität schien ziemlich schlecht zu sein. Der Fisch war sogar noch schlimmer: Er hatte einen sehr unangenehmen Geschmack und einen noch schlimmeren Nachgeschmack. Ich konnte meinen Teller wirklich nicht aufessen und aß am Ende nur den Reis. Was die Erfahrung noch frustrierender macht, ist der Preis. Die Rechnung belief sich auf rund 100 € für Essen, das weit unter unseren Erwartungen lag. Ich verstehe, dass die Preise in dieser Region generell hoch sind, aber hohe Preise sollten zumindest mit anständiger Qualität einhergehen. Hier war das nicht der Fall.

Einen Stern für die völlig überzogenen Preise. Für 32€ ein Kalbsschnitzelchen das so lala schmeckt mit lauwarmen Pommes ist schon frech. Am Nachbartisch hat jemand eine Pizza gegessen die eher klein, einfach und dürftig belegt war, aber für über 20€ ist da nur der Preis hoch gewesen. Mir ist schon klar das in dieser Lage es etwas mehr kosten kann, aber das grenzt an Abzocke...

Schöne Lage direkt am Bodensee. Das Essen ist sehr gut, aber etwas hochpreisiger - liegt halt an der direkten Lage am Bodensee.

Als Wiener, noch nie so ein gutes Kalbsschnitzel gegessen, der große gemischte Salat ist einfach der Hammer

Gemütliches Ambiente, aufmerksames, nettes Personal und Essen tadellos. Einzige kleine Manko das Eckbänke und Stühle keine Kissen oder Polster hatten. Werde gern mal wieder einen Besuch abstatten, wenn ich mich in Konstanz aufhalte.

Das Essen war leider sehr durchschnittlich und hat unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Geschmacklich nichts Besonderes, vor allem für den Preis enttäuschend. Der Service war ebenfalls unfreundlich und wenig aufmerksam. Besonders unangenehm war, dass unser Kind sogar gedrängt wurde, schneller zu essen, mit der Begründung, dass draußen bereits andere Gäste reserviert hätten. So ein Verhalten empfinden wir als respektlos und überhaupt nicht gastfreundlich. Insgesamt leider keine angenehme Erfahrung – wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Das Essen war gut, der Service aufdringlich, und dann behalten sie ohne meine Zustimmung 10 % der Rechnung als Trinkgeld ein. Trinkgeld sollte nicht selbstverständlich sein. Ich gebe es gern, aber es ist meine Entscheidung. Vielleicht ist das dort anders.

Das Essen war köstlich, besonders der Flammkuchen. Ein toller Ort zum Abendessen auf der Terrasse, egal bei welchem ​​Wetter. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Viele Gäste rauchten dort, weshalb wir den Tisch wechseln mussten, was die Bedienung aber problemlos erledigte.

Im ganzen Trubel hier überraschend ruhige Oase! Freundlich, gutes Essen und ein Waahnsinnsrhabarberkuchen!!! Danke!

Das Restaurant liegt in perfekter Lage. Es befindet sich direkt am See, und dahinter liegt der Bahnhof. Die kühle Brise an einem sonnigen Tag ist einfach herrlich. Die Aussicht ist spektakulär und das Essen wirklich köstlich. Die Leute waren sehr nett und freundlich. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Meine 20€ (!) Thunfisch-Pizza hatte einen ungesalzenen Teig. Tischdecke schmutzig, wurde nur auf Nachfrage ausgetauscht. Mit der Erfahrung eine meiner teuersten Thunfisch-Pizzen mit relativ wenig Geschmack (trotz Salz, Pfeffer und Chiliöl bekommen zu haben) komme ich nicht wieder - Preis & Leistung stimmen für mein Verständnis nicht

Ich entschuldige mich für das Missverständnis. Mein Internet funktionierte nicht, daher der Punktabzug. Trotzdem hatte ich eine schöne Zeit und viel Spaß. Ich entschuldige mich nochmals für das Missverständnis.

Das Ambiente ist angenehm – im Lokal und auch draussen. Der Empfang ist freundlich. Die Preise sind gut auf das Hafenareal in Konstanz kalibriert. Das bestellte Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb mit Pommes ist von der Präsentation und der Konsistenz her bestens. Wenn da nicht ein leichter Geschmack von Fisch wäre… Im verwendeten Oel haben wohl schon Fische gebadet. Ich gebe diesen Eindruck nach dem Essen an die Bedienung weiter mit der Bitte, das der Küche so zu kommunizieren. Beim Bezahlen wird diese Rückmeldung aber einfach ignoriert. Nicht so elegant ist, dass man nach pauschaler Nennung des Gesamtbetrages bezahlen soll. Die Details bekommt man dann nach Bezahlung schon, wenn man nachfragt.

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung! Das Personal war super freundlich und aufmerksam, man hat sich direkt wohlgefühlt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut top. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir direkt am nächsten Tag nochmal wiedergekommen sind – und wurden erneut überzeugt! 😊 Wenn es uns nochmal an den Bodensee verschlägt, kommen wir auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder.

Schweinefilet an Pilzraumsauce und Butterspätzle: das Fleisch war zäh und trocken, die Sauce mit viel Mehl und ohne Rahm. Unterdurchschnittlich und die 28€ nicht wert.

Direkt am Konstanzer Hafen gelegen, mit einem herrlichen Ausblick von der Terrasse auf das bunte Treiben. Flammkuchen sehr lecker, meiner war leider nicht mehr richtig heiß. Hervorzuheben ist der freundliche und schnelle Service. Da hat alles gepasst.

Wir wurden nach einer Stunde noch nicht bedient.

A food inspection on March 27, 2025, identified significant deficiencies at Baratie Gastro GmbH / Steg 4. According to the report published on May 2, 2025, work surfaces, refrigerators, and floor areas were heavily soiled. Traces of rodent droppings were discovered in several corners, and parts of the kitchen and storage areas were inadequately cleaned. I quote: "Food storage in the basement: Shelves heavily contaminated due to rodent infestation; food stored there was contaminated by rodents and their droppings. Rodent droppings were found on the packaging (chocolate flakes and gelatin) and partially inside the packaging (gelatin). Dried pasta packages (spaghetti) and outer packaging of chocolate flakes were bitten open, and the contents of the packaging (spaghetti and chocolate flakes) were partially eaten. The worst pizza I have ever eaten + very expensive

Very friendly service! The food was good, but far too greasy (trout, vegetables, and potatoes were swimming in butter and oil, and the salad had far too much oil). Instead of the ordered side salad, we received a small salad plate for €10, which was far too much. They should have at least asked if they wanted the salad or if they could leave it out.

Highly recommended! Delicious food, friendly service, and a fantastic location right on the lake. Our lamb rump was tender pink, and the beans with bacon and potato gratin were delicious.

I've eaten at this place several times... I like it; the pizza is very good. Unfortunately, the last time, last week, a waitress either made a mistake with the bill or pocketed the tip herself. We ordered a Margherita, a buffalo mozzarella, a seafood platter, a water, an aperitif, and a liter of beer. I didn't receive a receipt with the bill, and since I don't speak German well, I didn't understand the exact amount. In good faith, it wasn't my first time eating there, so I paid. The next day, I discovered on my app that I had paid 90 euros, so 5 to 10 euros more. If I have to be careful not to get ripped off, I'd rather not set foot in that place. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Beautiful location by the harbor and very attentive service. The food was better last year. The small salad is well dressed. The tarte flambée has a thick layer of arugula on top, but it's okay. The cheesecake is decorated with a handful of berries and is nothing special. The price of €11 is an absolute joke!

You felt genuinely welcome. The recommendations were spot-on, and you just felt completely at ease. That's what makes eating out fun!

The atmosphere is nice, as is the service. The service was quick and the restaurant was busy. What depresses the rating is the price-performance ratio. The tarte flambée was dry and way too salty. At almost €34, the asparagus main course with small chicken was a price for which I can expect good quality. The white asparagus was watery, fibrous and tasteless. The ends of the green asparagus were not broken and were woody. According to the menu, the asparagus with schnitzel came with triplets as a side dish. The potatoes were untypically large and lacked the typical fine taste. They were also grilled with a smoky aroma, which didn't go well with the delicate asparagus. Overall too expensive for what you get.

The portions are not very generous, but the price is quite high. For fish from the region, which is what I actually expect on Lake Constance, you will find exactly one dish on the menu, which is also outrageously expensive. You wait a long time for service, just as long for the food and another very long time for the bill. I cannot make a special recommendation for a visit.

We ate mussels with a seasonal beer, and everything was perfect. The welcome and service are great. For dessert, we had a homemade tiramisu which was absolutely excellent; a real treat! We stayed on the terrace and enjoyed a live session by an excellent street musician, contributing to having a great time at Steg 4. We highly recommend it!

NEVER AGAIN! After four visits to Steg 4, I can say with absolute certainty: This restaurant is a complete disappointment. Each time I hoped that the quality would improve - instead I was once again confronted with tasteless, carelessly prepared food that in no way lived up to the exorbitant prices. The kitchen seems to have lost all sensitivity to flavors and quality. What is served here is more reminiscent of a poorly managed canteen buffet than of fine dining. In addition, there is an uninspired service that seems to lack any friendliness and professionalism. A restaurant that is so grossly overrated and completely overpriced doesn't deserve another chance. Anyone who values ​​good food and a pleasant atmosphere should definitely avoid this establishment.

Horrible party on New Year's Eve...the overpriced admission wasn't worth the money. What a shame!!!

We went to Steg4 for the first time on December 31, 2024, for the New Year's Eve party. The atmosphere was okay, a bit smaller than we had imagined. The crowd was mixed. I found the drinks a bit overpriced; I don't know why they charged a deposit for glasses. You had to get your own drinks at the bar. Service at the bar was prompt. A lot of security. We had bought tickets online, and the email I received in response to a question I asked said a table had been reserved for us. But there were no tables at all; you stood in the room the whole evening with your glass in your hand, which at one point became so crowded that you could barely move forward or backward. We didn't stay long; we went back to the hotel after the fireworks. What we found a shame was that they advertised everywhere that there were two DJs playing 90s and 2000s music. However, 90% of the music played was 80s music like ABBA, Dancing Queen, Daddy Cool, and that ancient stuff that every DJ plays at the cheapest parties because they think it can create a great atmosphere...it wasn't until some 90s music started playing that people actually started dancing. I was there with my team for the Christmas party. A beautifully decorated table had been set up for us. The food was very tasty. I found the prices a bit too high. Otherwise it was a wonderful evening.

This restaurant has nice service. Employees are very friendly. Prices of the food and drinks are expensive compared to other places in Konstanz. The atmosphere is good too and recommended in summer time, so that you could sit outside and enjoy the view.

A catastrophe: 1) There is a large table outside with onion cake. Inside they say there is no more onion cake?! :-( 2) Instead, I ordered an Alsatian tarte flambée with onions and bacon and received a half-warm cake with nothing but raw onions, but it cost twice as much! 3) There is no WiFi for guests, only for the employees and the beer was missing a crown - so the whole, cozy atmosphere was a waste! I went to this restaurant with 2 people, a middle-aged male employee with glasses, in other words the service personnel, served as if they were forced to work. Although I asked for kalbs sinitzel natur, paniert came. I asked for greyhound lemonade juice, sprite came. In short, the staff did not listen to me at all. We were very happy with our meal, zander fillet and roast pork as the dish of the day. We also had a small mixed salad. The staff was very courteous and quick. Dogs are welcome. Our dog immediately got a bowl of water, which is very pleasing, especially in mid-summer temperatures.

Food is no good. We came to eat chanterelles. Soup had hardly any taste, risotto had thawed chanterelles, tagliatelle were considered cooked, but chanterelles were barely tasteful again. Nice location at the harbor.

Justified reviews and rating of this restaurant. Cola wheat but catastrophic!!! The food itself was okay, not bad but nothing special either. There were seven of us, one schnitzel, one tarte flambée, the rest pizza. The pizza is from the stone oven and is also the most recommended. The service was good, friendly and quick. The ambience is nice. However, the price-performance ratio for the food doesn't fit at all. Pizza for €20 and chanterelle soup €9.90... and the taste is rather below average. Too bad. The pizzas were really good a few years ago. We won't come anymore.

I just like it here. Come here every year. The Tuscan bread salad is very tasty and the service and atmosphere are top. A little more expensive... but we are also right on Lake Constance.

Heavily overpriced food that doesn't justify its price at all. The ribbon noodles with chanterelles in particular tasted very “boring”. It is also very outrageous to charge money for using a rather mediocre toilet. The service and ambience alone were somewhat satisfactory. (You are FORCED to tip)
