It's a shame that our first impression of this very cozy and particularly original restaurant would be marred by the fact that the service was quite annoyed that we were 40 minutes early when we made a reservation for 5:30 p.m. due to a change in schedule and asked politely whether it was It might be possible to stay there now (with our offer to run another lap if it wasn't possible). With hectic cleaning and an unfriendly and annoyed "well, I can't send her away now" we were then allowed to take a seat in extremely cramped conditions. It must be said that the restaurant was by no means full and at that time there were 4 tables free in our viewing area alone. We were somewhat reconciled with really good food... but also at "good" prices. An additional charge of €2.40 for a gravy is quite reasonable, as is a side salad at €7.90.....

Reservations would be an advantage. We were lucky and got a place. It was busy, but still a very cozy and quaint restaurant. Just something else. The waiters were super friendly and didn't let the stress show. The food was excellent and served quickly.

Ein Tipp von einem Kollegen aus der Gastronomie! Was für ein Hochgenuss, Zwiebelrostbraten auf den Punkt ,richtige Röstzwiebeln , Omas Bratkartoffeln und eine Sauce zum dahinschmelzen! Schnitzel aus der Pfanne und jeder Salat einzeln angemacht- der Kartoffelsalat hausgemacht! Der Service, wie es den früher gab - es war etwas besonderes bei Euch zu sein! Vielen herzlichen Dank! There is a nostalgic touch here that makes grandma's kitchen seem very cozy. It's the small details that make the decor very special. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. As a trained chef, I can only warmly recommend eating out in such a good kitchen. We didn't have a table reserved and still got one. There was a lot going on at the time. Unfortunately, some members of the service staff had noticed the high volume. Nevertheless, the visit was really great and I would love to come back. 👍🏻

First the positive...the food was great! The location was great 👍 but that was it... it was super full. That spoils the atmosphere a bit. The service was stressed and always running. Bit like at the train station. The food came quickly...and that's where the problem begins. There is a time slot for guests. And when that's over, you're instructed to clear the table. Here the restaurant sets the rules and not the guest. It's a new concept for us that I can't follow. We are people who like to stay seated... enjoy... order another wine... or not shovel in dessert right away. That doesn't work here. It was our wedding anniversary and we didn't know the location because we were from out of town. It was said that there wasn't enough time for dessert. It's a shame...especially for such a special day. Anyone who can handle that will definitely not be disappointed here. Unfortunately it wasn't right for us.

Small, cozy restaurant, perhaps a bit cramped in one place or another, but everything is manageable. Food really tasty and decent portions. Worth mentioning is the salad buffet, everything is delicious and fresh and you only take what you want, it costs extra. Prices local. The boss is really relaxed and always friendly. The staff is otherwise friendly too. We'll come back again. The dog issue wasn't a problem either. Reservation is recommended.

Ich besuchte das Liesele spontan aufgrund einer Tafel mit Speisevorschlägen. Dort wurden je 2 Marillen- und Zwetschgen -Topfen- Knödel angeboten. Da es dies sehr selten hier gibt und ich nur eine Kleinigkeit essen wollte, nahm ich an einem freien Tisch ( nach Rücksprache mit dem Personal) auf der Terrasse Platz. Das Gericht war in der Qualität enttäuschend, aus meiner Erfahrung Tiefkühlprodukt. Es sollte mit gebräunter Butter serviert werden, davon war kaum etwas zu merken. Es war eine Dessertportion, für mich ausreichend, aber für 9,90 EUR völlig überteuert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt in dem Restaurant nicht. Ein Blick in die Speisekarte und auf die Teller der anderen Gäste bestätigte mir das. ,

Excellent food! We ate Kässpätzle and Rahmschmitzel there. Both very seasoned. The salad buffet has fresh salads and is constantly refilled. The glass bowl provided is large enough to fill a proper salad plate. Overall, highly recommended.

The restaurant is located in the middle of Radolfzell and serves good German Swabian/Baden cuisine. The fact that the menu is written in dialect makes the restaurant something special, because not everyone who speaks High German understands what it says 😉 but the translations are there and with the attached 'Duden' some things become easier. I can highly recommend the Swabian country salad, here it is cooked like at home. We thought it was a shame that there were no drinks on the menu, do you have to ask?

No matter when we were there...the service was always very funny and very friendly. The food is always very tasty and the portions are good. Not a long wait either.

Service very listless and annoyed. If you order and want a different side dish, i.e. spaetzle instead of fries, it costs extra. Salad buffet is rather poor and the glass bowls for the salad look very used and old. At first I thought the waitress wanted to offer our dog water in this bowl. But for me this was for the salad. Unfortunately, the dog was ignored at 30 degrees and didn't get any water. I had called beforehand to see if dogs were allowed. But they are probably more tolerated. Food was ok but wouldn't go there again.

The restaurant in the middle of Radolfzell has been there for a long time, unfortunately the staff and the kitchen are getting worse and worse. The cellar wasn't service oriented at all, the food was just quantity instead of quality. I've never experienced anything like that. Not recommended at all.

Schnitzel with fries was decent, although not the best you can find in the district. In terms of price, the location and the region were perfectly fine for them. Food was really delicious. Salad buffet was good. Only thing. The price. A really big plate of spaetzle with sauce between 10 and 12 euros. That was really usury. A smaller portion of spaetzle for 6 euros would be more appropriate. Unfortunately, none of us have a money printing shop in our basement.

Nice restaurant in the old town. There is down-to-earth Baden-Swabian cuisine. Although we came without a reservation, we were very kindly assigned a table and we were able to eat in a pleasant atmosphere and peace and quiet

We've been coming for years and haven't been here in a while. We were disappointed because it became hectic and unfriendly. Kind of like mass processing and you feel like you're in the way everywhere. My recommendation: squeeze in 1-2 fewer tables, then the wait staff has room to walk around and doesn't always have to yell at the guests that they're sitting in the way. It's a shame about the formerly homely restaurant.

When the six of us arrived, we were initially ignored because one table was just getting its food. Then as we walked past we were asked twice if we had a reservation - we didn't. However, it was before 5 p.m. and the restaurant inside was empty except for two tables. So we would have been gone again at the big dinner time. Then another comment was made: "Saturday evening without reservation", although a table for 6 was prepared for us. When you notice the stroller, “park it around the corner with the brakes on.” We then left the restaurant with the comment that we would like to come back and eat if it was all possible in a friendly manner. The atmosphere looked quaint. We can't say anything about the food.

Simply a nice cozy restaurant with great decor and ambience. It should be reserved early as it is very well known and popular. A spontaneous place is difficult to obtain.

It couldn't be more traditional... Great regional dishes are on offer, which are apparently also very popular with local guests. my Allgäuer Rahmschnitzel and the Kaiserschmarrn were excellent! And the service was very, very pleasant and friendly, especially for Germans!

So, first of all: The food is good, the service was excellent. But what doesn't work at all are the prices. Jägerschnitzel for €22.90. Pretty high price. But it's still possible. Especially when it's good. AAABER: I wanted cheese spaetzle instead of normal spaetzle. Price for the reorder: €5.90!!!!! The hammer. Plus another €2.90 because I wanted mountain cheese. And there isn't even a warning. Only that it costs extra. Was the first and last time I was there. It's a shame about the store. This is called a rip-off.

Wir haben unsere 14 Plätze frühzeitig reserviert - diese standen auch zur Verfügung, pünktlich um 19:30 Uhr.... wir wären (wegen garstigem Wetter) gerne eine Viertelstunde früher ins Lokal (Busverbindung), die Plätze waren nicht belegt... leider mussten wir draussen warten. Das Essen war deftig und traditionell - soweit okee, wenn auch nicht berauschend. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht, darum wurden wir gefragt, ob wir etwas Zeit hätten, dass andere Gäste, welche ein Konzert besuchen wollten, vor uns bedient werden konnten. Dem stimmten wir zu, weil wir Zeit hatten. Bei der Bestellungsaufnahme haben wir feststellen müssen, dass die Bedienung (Dame mittleren Alters) wohl schon den ganzen Tag unter "Strom stand". Wir mussten sehr zügig bestellen, sonst wurde man "zusammengestaucht". Für die Schirm unter dem Tisch bekamen wir die Anweisung, diese müssen in die Schirmständer sonst falle sie darüber (??)... Ähnlich bei der Aufnahme der Speisen.. sehr bestimmt... Aber wir bekamen den Hauptgang dann um ca. 21:15 Uhr.. also wir dann anschliessend noch Kaffee und Nachspeisen bestellen wollten wurde mitgeteilt, dass die Küche geschlossen sei und wir jetzt zu zahlen hätten - um 22 Uhr schliesse das Restaurant. Tatsächlich wurden wir dann auch um 21:55 Uhr bestimmt darauf hingewiesen, das Lokal jetzt zu verlassen. Wir haben Verständnis, dass bei der wohl prekären Personalsituation und am Abend eines anstrengenden Tages die Motivation nicht mehr so gross ist... aber wir haben das Verhalten als nicht wirklich gästefreundlich empfunden.

Mettnau salad plate served with a tasteless yogurt dressing. At least the fish had flavor. The potato salad with the Maultaschen was so tasteless that it only tasted watery. All in all, the meal was completely disappointing. The prices for the kitchen service are excessive. The ambience and service were very good. Unfortunately, the kitchen can't keep up here. It's a shame for this traditional restaurant. Therefore, once and never again.

The portions are very good for the price. The food was excellent. 🍽️ Service is very friendly, ambience is a matter of taste. ✨ We had the Allgäuer Schnitzel with cheese spaetzle and cream sauce. The portions are very large, but that doesn't diminish the taste, it tasted very good and the food came super quickly. For two people we paid ~45€ (sour tripe, schnitzel with cheese spaetzle, a water), the price was rather higher. The atmosphere is unique, very homely.

Absolute insider tip! I drove to Radolfzell more than once just because of you, even though I had a journey of more than 50km. The food is simply great, everything is fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The price is absolutely reasonable and the staff is not only absolutely child-friendly but also has an absolutely exemplary and humorous way of dealing with customers. Please continue like this :)

It was nice that there were crayons and something to color in for the grandchild. The non-alcoholic wheat tastes like chemicals, the salad with tuna is bitter, too many onions, with a terrible sauce and the Maultäschle is just bland. Plus the unimaginative salad buffet at daring prices. Once is enough!

We didn't come to eat because we were turned away very, very rudely. The six of us were not allowed to sit at a free table for five with a six-year-old. We came from Konstanz because of the good reviews. Of course we won't come again.

Ich war eigendlich begeistert von dem tollen Service und den großzügigen Portionen und es hat wirklich wie ebi Oma geschmeck. Besonders gefallen hat mir der Salat mit Fisch im Bierteig, der sehr üppig war und eine tolle Auswahl an Frischen Salaten bot. Was mich jedoch wirklich gestört hat, war die Tatsache, dass Kartenzahlungen erst ab einem Betrag von 40 Euro akzeptiert werden. Das finde ich wirklich frech und meiner Meinung nach heutzutage ein absolutes No-Go deswegen auch nur 3 Sterne. Trotzdem würde ich das Restaurant aufgrund des leckeren Essens und des freundlichen Services weiterempfehlen, jedoch hoffe ich sehr, dass sich an der Kartenzahlungsregelung etwas ändert.

Unfortunately the food isn't cheap at all, we paid €23 per portion and the portion was far too small. A schnitzel and some cheese spaetzle. Not recommendable.

The restaurant is highly recommended, only the potato salad, which I think wasn't from grandma (hence no 5 stars for the food). Everything else I ate was simply awesome. I'd love to come back. Before I forget, it's definitely worth making a reservation.

As an allergy sufferer, I find the Liesele unsuitable. After I asked if flavor enhancers were used, I was reluctantly brought a list of allergens. However, glutamate was not listed at all, although glutamate is mostly used in salad dressing, with the exception of vinegar and oil. The unfriendly service person didn't feel like asking in the kitchen. I'll never go there again.
