Very nice and comfortable rooms at the Sonnhalde guesthouse. Unfortunately, breakfast is no longer served at the Adler; that's a real shame, as it used to be very good!

We had dinner with seven people on a Sunday. Luckily, we had a reservation, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get a seat. The service was very friendly, and the wait wasn't long. The menu could be a bit more varied, especially if you don't like pork; there are no vegetable side dishes. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the value for money is really excellent!

Staff unfriendly, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, it used to be better in every respect.

The food was good, and the service was quick and friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the large restaurant was very crowded. But we would definitely go again. To get to the parking lot, you have to drive up a small road from the inn, up the hill. There's plenty of space there.

A typical country inn with an excellent menu! Where the food is good and the service is excellent, lots of people come together! We really enjoyed it, as we have so many times before, and we'll be happy to come back!

The food was, as always, very good. Whether it was fish or steak, I've never been disappointed. The sauces were homemade, not from a tube. The salad was also very good. All the best German cuisine. The price/performance ratio is simply right.

Very, very good quality food, great menu. Prices are on the high side but justified. While I can understand the reasoning, unfortunately there are no desserts other than ice cream, which is a shame; that would round off the whole experience. Service is mixed; depending on who's there, it's either good or slow. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a reservation outside for a large group, but it's also nice inside. But overall, a great place.

We ate at the Gasthof Adler today. We enjoyed the meal immensely. The schnitzel was crispy and delicious, the cordon bleu was excellent, and the fillet was very tender. The service was attentive and friendly. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Subterranean, ready-made sauces, frozen goods, canned food, warm salad, schnitzel with panko flour from the fryer and that's called cooking - what does that have to do with gastronomy?

We went there for dinner today. Unfortunately, the entire meal was poor quality. The schnitzel was old, gray, and inedible. The mushrooms we ordered separately were canned. Since we wanted to give them a chance to improve, we voiced our criticism after paying. The cook herself then came over and said the mushrooms were pre-cooked. Strangely, they were all cut exactly the same and tasted of nothing. Our criticism of the schnitzel was also ignored. They said everything was fresh. I said I'd like to give them a chance to improve and would therefore report it back. Unfortunately, the criticism was not accepted, and the overall behavior was very unfriendly. We won't be back.

The staff is very friendly. The selection is average, as is the cooking. We ordered croquettes instead of spaetzle and then had to pay extra. I find it very petty. The children's robber's plate costs an extra €3.50. The small side salad also always costs extra. So it all adds up. Poor value for money.

A friendly welcome, even though we arrived spontaneously and without a reservation. Good food and reasonable prices. Non-alcoholic drinks could be a bit cheaper, in the interest of family-friendliness.

Food from the frozen food store, 200g of peas as vegetables, cold plates, rude service. I don't know who runs this chaotic place but I would have fired anyone there three times... The only fresh thing was probably the lemon wedge!

Food is good, but not necessarily anything special. Good traditional German cuisine. Parking spaces are in short supply.

We are repeat offenders. Definitely had to come back and try the Dünle Mega tasty. And again super nice service and for dessert there was homemade ice cream. We'd love to come back!

So we already know the eagle in Güttingen from before, However, the comparison to today is no comparison. We didn't like the food. Unfortunately !!!

German food and good quality. We love the eagle. Winter garden and outdoor area very nice. But also an older part of the building and many rooms.

Sadly, for 14 outdoor tables, 2 ashtrays, extra charge if you use fries instead of spaetzle, for whatever reason? Invoice 45 min waiting time. Service is different

Unfortunately my salad was soggy and drowned in the dressing. No ashtrays according to service. Pretty overwhelmed, which probably suggests a lack of staff. Additional charge for fries instead of spaetzle. We didn't think it was that good

There seem to be 2 eagles in Güttingen. 🤷‍♂️ The service at the one we visited was pleasant. Likewise the ambience. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to food! Sorry. There were around 30 people on site and the food arrived quicker than you would think. They advertise homemade. OK. Of course, meatloaf isn't prepared fresh for everyone. Out of question. However, it is so (microwaved?) hot that you can hardly eat it. Strange. The spaetzle was only lukewarm. And the champion cream sauce with a firm top skin. From where? Either we were just unlucky or the wrong dishes? Might be. We'd rather wait 30 minutes or longer for good food than for something like that. That was, with all due respect, very little. The catering industry is taking a hit. Out of question. But that's exactly when you have to impress with performance. And you're happy to pay for it. Bottom line... Too bad.

We eat here several times a year and have had nothing to complain about, the service and the food have always been OK.

It depends on what expectations you go in with. We ate there at Easter. Unfortunately there was only one Easter dish apart from the normal menu. I would have simply wished for three or four Easter menus, but maybe not the normal menu. The taste of the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. My mushroom cream schnitzel must have sat on the pass for a while before serving because the sauce had already curdled a bit. All in all, it would be good if you want to go out for a traditional meal. I don't know if I would eat there again on a public holiday.

Our favorite for years. For the first time in a year; really happy: what a shame... - All dishes are way too salty. Cooking skills have declined - compared to before, it tastes bland and unfresh: - Every small change in the order (e.g. vegetables instead of spaetzle) requires an additional charge of several EUR on top of the already high prices. That's annoying. - Inflation used to improve margins :-) Significantly smaller quantities of most dishes. Prices +30% without VAT increase. - Service quite snippy and unhelpful. - Despite the device, the restaurant refuses to switch to debit or credit cards - the only option is EC card, which the banks no longer issue. - The staff's reactions to polite suggestions for improvement are very cheeky "...you can open an inn yourself." 😂 - Unfortunately, Gasthof Adler 🦅 has slacked off a lot. Conclusion: just average. No longer recommended. Was our last time.

We were at the Adler again after many years. Still great. Plenty of portions and very good. Price performance is good. Pre-order at dinner time. At noon I don't know. Just go and test it yourself.

If you like good German cuisine, then you've come to the right place. The battle plate today was awesome! Never been disappointed here in terms of food and service. Anytime and always 👍🏼

Es war richtig toll gewesen, das Essen hatte uns geschmeckt und es war auch dort richtig schön gewesen. Es war ein guter Kellnerin gewesen und der Restaurant ist Kinderfreundlich, sodass mann gut mit den Kindern gut hingehen konnte. Und es gibt für die Kinder unter 12 Jahren sogar Kinder Menü, sodass sie aussuchen können, was sie nehmen, oder nicht. Es hatte uns sehr gefallen dort, und werden es auch an andere Weiterenpfelen, die nach einen Restaurant in der Nähe suchen, dorthin zu gehen! Sehr gut war das gewesen, muss ich sagen, sodass wir auch das nächste mal wieder mal dort hin gehen wollen!

We were there on Boxing Day for a family dinner with almost 20 people. In a booth next to other parties, the place was full. Everyone could eat ala carte, the portions were generous and very tasty. We decided on a platter for two people and our request without pork was accommodated. Instead of pork I have two veal schnitzels, see picture. The food was quick and the service was great, only the rice and peppers on the plate weren't our cup of tea but the taste was good. We'd love to come back.

Habe schon lange nicht mehr sooo gut gegessen wie dort, vom Ersten bis Hauptgericht zum Salat richtung Dessert. Die Bedienung Heike ist das Sahnehäubchen zu allem, sehr freundlich und mit Liebe zu diesem Beruf...Wir werden da jetzt öfters hingehen obwohl wir in Konstanz wohnen. Die Preise sind auch sensationell

Die Küche ist einfach super. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und flott. Wir besuchen den Gasthof immer wieder gerne.

Tolles Restaurant mit einer sehr gut kombinierten Auswahl an Speisen. Service war trotz das viel los war sehr gut.

Der Adler ist ein traditionsreiches traditionelles Restaurant. Hier wird noch richtig gekocht und die Qualität ist herausragend. Man wird freundlich bedient und der Charme der alten Gaststube ist zauberhaft. Wer noch etwas Besonderes sucht ist hier richtig.

Also, ich denke ist Besitzerwechsel, war nicht mehr so wie vorhin. Man kommt sich vor wie in einem Tierheim, Tiere dürfen rein. Mussten Platzwechsel machen, da es uns einfach zu laut war. Essen war auch nicht mehr so, wie wir es gewöhnt waren. Es war auch ein kpl anderes Personal da .

Tolles Lokal an der Edertalsperre.

Nette Gastwirtschaft die von aussen kleiner aussieht als sie ist. Innen nett eingerichtet. Aber nichts besonderes. Service insgesamt nett und freundlich. Beim Bezahlen mussten wir leider mehrmals winken. Auch zwischendurch einen leeren Salatteller abräumen wollen macht man einfach nicht. Das Essen war lecker, reichlich und preislich günstig.

Der Salat mit den Geflügelstreifen ist hervorragend. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis top. Ich komme immer wieder gerne in den Gasthof.

Deutsche Traditions Küche , tolles Ambiente, flotte Bedienung... einfach nur lecker und prima Preis Leistung 😉

Eines der letzten guten " Essen wie bei Oma " Restaurants. So gut habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Dazu sehr guten Wein und Schnaps. Was will man mehr?

Ich war zwar nur 1 mal da aber ich werde wieder kommen.

Übersichtliche Karte, Essen okay jedoch keine Sterneküche. Zu wenig Servicepersonal vor Ort - daher etwas Wartezeit obwohl die Servicekräfte flink sind. Bitte versuchen Sie, für die Spitzenzeiten Personal zu finden. Gastraum im Wintergarten akustisch schwierig, hier sollte nachgebessert werden. Dennoch bleibt der "Adler" als Restaurant empfehlenswert. Der Bereich Service/Sauberkeit/Komfort der Gästezimme ist hervorragend organisiert. Empfehlung!

Tolle deutsche Küche. Preis/- Leistung absolut top. Die Portionen sind gut und sättigend.

Leckere preiswerte Deutsche Küche. Ich hatte eine Zwiebelsuppe sie war stimmig abgeschmeckt (nicht über würzt) und der Geschmack der Zwiebeln waren mild und erfrischend. Die Tomatensuppe war sehr lecker und hat richtig nach Tomate im Mund geschmeckt. Das Rahmschnitzel mit den Spätzle dazu war ein stimmiges Gericht. Das Cordon bleu war richtig lecker die Panade ist schön kross gewesen. Zum Gemüse das war gut gewürzt nur für meinen Geschmack hätte das Gemüse bissfester sein können und dazu gab es noch Pommes. Das Service war freundlich und nett. Die Atmosphäre war einfach zum Verweilen, ich hätte noch länger bleiben können.

Sehr nette, gutbürgerliche, rustikale Lokalität. Nettes Personal. Teilweise ist am Wochenende eine Reservierung erforderlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Portionen die satt machen. Das einzige was etwas aufstieß war, dass die Bedienung so viel zu tun hatte, dass wir keine Getränke nachbestellen konnten und nach dreimaligem Nachfragen endlich bezahlen durften.

Super leckeres Essen, daher kommen wir gern nochmal.. zu Beginn schneller Service, nach dem Essen fühlten wir uns etwas vergessen und haben statt noch Getränke zu bestellen die Rechnung erbeten (musste dazu aber reingehen)

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Freundliche Bedienung, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, Essen - Forellenfilet war sehr lecker, man sitzt sehr schön draußen
