Food that pleases the soul, drinks are extremely refreshing (Gutsschänke Spritz and the wines from the state winery... very tasty), absolutely great price/performance ratio, super friendly and helpful service, the ambience is simply perfect in a quiet location high above Lake Constance (direct View)...easy to recommend all around ;-)

We had a wonderful stay in the restaurant of the Waldhotel at Notschreipass! The food was really tasty and prepared with great attention to detail – simply a pleasure! The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating, which made the atmosphere even more pleasant. It was particularly practical that we could charge our electric car directly at the hotel at a fair price. An all-round successful visit – we would love to come back!

The food is good, home-style. The cooking is fresh. Portions are very large; if you ask, you will be given a container to take the food with you. Ambiance is getting old but everything is very clean. Offer daily and weekly specials, including vegetarian ones. Prices for daily and weekly specials are reasonable. Unfortunately, the card was renewed here at the beginning of the year and the 12% was added, so a Cordon Bleu, for example, costs 26 euros, which I find very expensive.

A very nice restaurant (especially the hunting room) with great food. We had the pumpkin and mushroom soup, followed by, among other things, the fish platter and the goose (per portion of leg and breast). When asked, we were able to change the side dishes without any problems, the portions were very large. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented, the side dishes were served separately in bowls. You can put together your own side salads at a salad buffet, which is very varied and freshly decorated. The service was nice and attentive, sometimes you could wait until everyone had eaten before clearing away. Otherwise everything was fine :)

Central hotel, has excellent local cuisine and very good attention from the staff

One of those inns that are still really fun and are simply part of our country's cultural heritage 🥰. Our reservation was lost due to internet problems, but the boss somehow made it possible for us to get a table that evening. This is genuine interest in the guest and a commitment that is unfortunately no longer a given. The restaurant is very cozy and the service is always humorous and in a good mood - even when the shop is buzzing 👍🏻 Our dishes - the Maultaschen and the schnitzel in the pepper cream sauce - are excellently handcrafted, freshly prepared and with real Franconian “local color”. Gorgeous 😋! Tasty, hearty and at a very fair price. All of this encouraged us to have a final apple strudel, which was also tasty and delicious. Freshly tapped, delicious beers from the region - overall a gastronomic excursion of the kind that is worth remembering and highly recommended. We felt very comfortable and welcome as guests 🫶! It's a shame that there are 300 km between us, otherwise the "Old Chancellery" would have become a local bar... Thanks for the great evening 🙏🏻! And please “keep it up”!!

A really great restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is excellent. You can tell how they value not only the quality of the food, but also the presentation. One of my favorite restaurants in Freiburg!

Such a place in such a small town is unbelievable. We were totally blown away. The food was simply great and the ambience, like in mother's times. This isn't the last time we've been here.

restaurant très calme, accueil sympathique, contact avec le personnel ( en fait une personne ) était un peu compliqué car la barrière de la langue. pas de menu ni en français ni en anglais. Nous avons quand même bien mangé. les desserts du menu n'étaient pas tous disponible.

We have been to this location several times and are always impressed by the friendliness of the staff. I would like to mention the excellent quality of the food. We are always happy to visit.
