Nice place to visit. Service is well organized. Self-service and space can always be found somewhere in the castle. Sometimes a bit crowded, but always a nice atmosphere. Toilets are always in good condition.

THE absolute destination. Red deer park and wild boar park are next door. Large outdoor area, indoor area on the ground floor and upper floor. Delicious food and drinks. Self-service, quick. On sunny days, lots of day trippers, lots of cyclists. It's also worth it on a rainy day, as the forest is particularly beautiful and it smells so great of moss and earth.

Quite busy on sunny days. Unfortunately, you can't get a quick coffee because the queues for ordering food in the Tegel are quite long. Otherwise, a great location for cycling and hiking breaks. I like being here.

We went for a walk at Bärensee last Friday. We decided to take a break in the Bärenschlössle. Had coffee and cake, plus small soft drinks. It was great, weather was great. We really enjoyed what we ordered. It's quiet there and there's plenty of space to sit (admittedly it was a weekday morning), but Bärenschlösle is always a good place for a little distraction and a break. Recommendation 5* and 10 full points. Thanks.

A trip around the Bärenschlößle is always worthwhile, especially during the week when it's less crowded. The surroundings are beautiful – unfortunately, the same can't necessarily be said of the innkeepers. Today, older guests who were in line ahead of me were again harshly reprimanded and told to "get in line." This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially since it's not the first time it's happened. It's a real shame, because the place really deserves a more hospitable atmosphere.

So about the food: More like canteen quality, ready-made salads from the pack, well. The bee dash was great though! Friendly service, but pick up and order at the counter to save waiters, but unfortunately that doesn't reflect the prices for the food. Large ready-made salad 10 euros. The atmosphere is super idyllic, in the middle of the forest with a few benches and parasols, really nice. Unfortunately, a few highlights such as a children's playground or something special are only missing in 4 out of 5.

The Bärenschlössle is always worth a visit!

During the week the Bärenschlössle is full, but not overcrowded. No longer queues to be expected. The cake selection in particular is good, even if the prices are a little higher than normal.

Our favorite excursion in the Stuttgart area. Located in the forest and only accessible by walking. Last Sunday I had a roulade with kohlrabi and spaetzle, sensational and at a fair price, €15.80. Coffee afterwards was also ok, there would have been delicious cakes too. You can sit outside or inside on two floors. Always my pleasure !

A little rustic and simple with self-service in the bar on the first floor. Nice to have a picnic while visiting the surrounding park.

In itself it's a really "beautiful place on earth" with a lot of nature and you can also spend a good time there with children...They can run around and climb and there were a lot of people there too.... The "lake landscape" was unfortunately half dried up, which is of course a sad sight! There was a "sausage stand" outside and the food there was great but really expensive - I didn't go to the restaurant myself but I liked the menu 😉 Of course it was self-service outside... I would still recommend it because I had a nice day there - which in the end is what makes the company...

For me the best excursion restaurant in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. No matter how busy it is and it is often very busy, I get my food in just a few minutes. Very well organized kitchen and checkout. The food is great and there is always something new on the menu, even depending on the season. Man came super nice to sit outside and inside. Absolute recommendation and big praise to the operators.

Very nice location with a large outdoor area on the Bärensee. Only limited seating inside but comfortable. So far we've only had coffee and cake there. The warm dishes at least looked pretty good. I can't say anything about the taste of the hot dishes. The cakes are absolutely recommended. Service is normal self-service, but overall it is very quick and the waitresses are always friendly. Unfortunately we had a lot of wasps outside in the summer and we couldn't enjoy the cakes as usual. But you can't blame the owner, because you're sitting in nature. With a small piece of cake at the other end of the table, the wasps are happy and leave you alone. Overall, a nice destination after a long walk around the lake.

A great option for a drink and something to eat in both summer and winter It doesn't matter whether it's outside on the terrace when the weather is good or on the ground floor or upper floor when the weather is bad. The self-service restaurant has a great price-performance ratio and is definitely worth a visit. You can also reserve tables.

Very nice atmosphere in the middle of the forest area around the bear lakes. The excursion restaurant is located directly above the third lake. Cozy interior on 2 floors. Large outdoor area and beautiful terrace. The restaurant offers home-style cooking and homemade cakes. There is also a good selection of drinks.

Great place to go for a lunch break or coffee. Dishes (lower floor) and baked goods (upper floor) and a variety of delicious drinks are offered on 2 floors. If you're lucky, you can sit at the top in the sun. Otherwise there is plenty of seating inside and outside and a fantastic view

Unfortunately it has become far too expensive.

We were there on Boxing Day and it was very well attended. We got in line for mulled wine and reds, which was really long but it moved really quickly. You could tell straight away that professionals are at work here. Everything happened orderly and quickly. Keep it up, gladly again.

The paths through the forest are beautiful, there are different routes you can take, there are various playgrounds and barbecue areas, and it is not too crowded because the crowds are well distributed through the many paths. The Bärenschlössle itself is of course very beautiful and there are now a lot of seating options and the food is also good.

Always beautiful. We particularly like the roast venison. We always enjoy coming back, even though it is often way too crowded when we are there.

Of course, the prices are becoming increasingly steep for the reasons described by Mr. Unmüßig below (the main thing is that the food isn't...). But I still enjoy the sausage salad again and again. Then it's better less often than not at all... In any case, I'm grateful to you for the delicious food and drinks in the middle of our beautiful deer park!!!

We visited the castle, which looks more like a normal building, on the weekend. It was very crowded and not particularly accessible with a wheelchair. We even had a hard time getting to the fast food cart that was there. The forest is great for walking, including around the Bärensee, and can also be easily accessed with a wheelchair.

A beautiful place and we have been coming here regularly and happily for years. Unfortunately, they take every bit of freedom when it comes to prices. You now pay €5.40 for a red one with a roll (as of September 2024). We didn't even pay that much at the Stuttgart Christmas market recently.

Quaint to stop here during or after a walk. Great location! Good cuisine, unfortunately no gluten-free options.
