Unfortunately it has become far too expensive.

We were there on Boxing Day and it was very well attended. We got in line for mulled wine and reds, which was really long but it moved really quickly. You could tell straight away that professionals are at work here. Everything happened orderly and quickly. Keep it up, gladly again.

If you like completely overpriced, below-average quality snacks in self-service style in the countryside, you can try to get a seat when the weather is nice. The location is totally overcrowded, especially on weekends, and PL doesn't fit.

It was very crowded due to the nice weather. The service worked well. The waiting time was about 20 minutes. We had 2 cakes. One was good, the other tasted good but was very dry.

Nice place, cakes okay but nothing special. You can notice that more expensive ingredients such as fat and quark are saved in the cake. The streusel was very dry and the curd mixture was watery. However, it is the only place in the area.

Had a roast pork today. Unfortunately of very poor quality. There was an inedible rind. The meat was tough and old. The spaetzle is normal with some mushrooms.

This is a great place to stop off after a hike. But there is often a lot going on on weekends. Thanks to self-service, you can still get food and drink relatively quickly. Prices are okay.

Always worth a trip or walk! The paths through the forest are beautiful, there are different routes you can take, there are various playgrounds and barbecue areas, and it is not too crowded because the crowds are well distributed through the many paths. The Bärenschlössle itself is of course very beautiful and there are now a lot of seating options and the food is also good.

The Bärenschlössle ♡ Always worth a trip! Nice beer garden in summer but also in autumn. Great to stop off while hiking. Delicious cakes, but also sweet dishes and hearty... Always something going on, but no long waiting times. Mostly relaxed crowd and dogs are allowed. ♡

Always beautiful. We particularly like the roast venison. We always enjoy coming back, even though it is often way too crowded when we are there.

Of course, the prices are becoming increasingly steep for the reasons described by Mr. Unmüßig below (the main thing is that the food isn't...). But I still enjoy the sausage salad again and again. Then it's better less often than not at all... In any case, I'm grateful to you for the delicious food and drinks in the middle of our beautiful deer park!!!

The location is very nicely located and also well frequented. It is a self-service restaurant. In our case, the food was very tasty and the portions were more than sufficient.

We visited the castle, which looks more like a normal building, on the weekend. It was very crowded and not particularly accessible with a wheelchair. We even had a hard time getting to the fast food cart that was there. The forest is great for walking, including around the Bärensee, and can also be easily accessed with a wheelchair.

It is a beautiful and warm place in the forest. It has nice sweets and some food! Upstairs I like it better. Also in good weather you can enjoy the outdoor area.

A beautiful place and we have been coming here regularly and happily for years. Unfortunately, they take every bit of freedom when it comes to prices. You now pay €5.40 for a red one with a roll (as of September 2024). We didn't even pay that much at the Stuttgart Christmas market recently.

Quaint to stop here during or after a walk. Great location! Good cuisine, unfortunately no gluten-free options.

Always interesting for walks or hiking. Very good self-service restaurant. Deer enclosure approx. 1 km away. The upper lake is currently heavily drained. It's a shame - supposedly because of lizards? And apparently the meadows are also completely mowed down, which means that there are hardly any butterflies etc. left. We received this information from a gentleman who has been visiting the Bärenschlössle regularly for over 25 years and has also taken photographs of the wildlife. Otherwise highly recommended for young and old.

One of our favorite places. The kitchen and catering (self-service) are perfectly organized. There are great, fresh dishes and the waiting time is always under 10 minutes. The scenery around the bear lakes and the park forests is fantastic. A game reserve is within walking distance. If you come by bike you can go further to Solitude Castle.

Nice excursion destination and refreshment stop for hikers and cyclists. You can sit inside and outside.

THE absolute destination. Red deer park and wild boar park are next door. Large outdoor area, indoor area on the ground floor and upper floor. Delicious food, drinks. Self-service, fast. On sunny days, lots of day trippers, lots of cyclists. It's also worth it on a rainy day, as the forest is particularly beautiful and it smells so great of moss and earth.

The Bärenschlössle... I don't even know how many times we've been here 😄 When we still lived in Stuttgart-East, we went to Bärensee at least once almost every week, be it for jogging, mountain biking in the wildlife park, or going for a walk. And we definitely went to the Bärenschlössle every other time ✔️ A great location, both inside and outside with various seating areas, some with a view of the Bärensee. The dishes are all delicious, many Swabian classics. A nice selection of snacks, great cakes and tarts. If you can't find anything here, you have no idea about food 😉 Fair prices, great service (of which many self-service locations can take a few slices), what more could you want 🙌🏻 We've been living a long way from Benztown for some time now. But when we find ourselves back in our old homeland, we always enjoy coming back here.

A lovely destination on a warm, dry day. Many people travel here on foot and by bike. There is a good selection of different cakes. You can also order warm food. There are some benches outside, but unfortunately they are in the long grass. It would be nice if the number of tables outside could be increased, but theoretically there is enough seating inside, and in this weather you can enjoy sitting outside. Employees were very friendly

I come here regularly as it is a nice place for a short rest. You can pay by card and have a large selection of snacks, meals, drinks and cakes. However, there is no vegan selection and only cow's milk. Out of date and bad for business. The cakes and the food are ok, nothing special. Update to the comment: Thanks for trying to explain the circumstances, but it raised even more question marks and caused a lack of understanding. Oops, I stood on the other side of the counter, even under the worst conditions - Stuttgarter Wasen and it worked. So this is more of an attempt to invalidate my criticism by portraying me as ignorant. Even mountain huts that are served by lift (here "in the middle" of the forest there is direct access for employees) manage to do this, despite small storage space and large crowds. Cow's milk consumption in Germany has halved in the last 50 years. At least these people can switch to tea or cold drinks with you. Regarding cake, does this mean you always throw away cake? Replacing one animal cake with a vegan one is the solution given the huge selection of cakes. Above all, a purely plant-based cake tastes the same as animal-based ones, meaning anyone can eat it. But not the other way around, a lactose intolerant person unfortunately has no way of finding anything here. A bonus point, there is a vegan dish on the menu. And at least vegan cakes from late summer.

The Bärenschlössle was the pleasure palace of Carl Eugen Duke of Württemberg. It's very nice. You can come from different places and are surrounded by forest and lakes. Next to it is the wildlife park with deer and deer. It is very idyllic. The food is very good, there is a daily menu and it is always very busy. There is also very good cake. You can sit inside, outside around the Bärenschlössle and on benches at tables all around. Recommendation!

Very nice restaurant with a good selection of food, both savory and sweet, as well as drinks. Everything was okay in terms of price and tasted good. When the weather is good, the crowds are very high and the parking lot can get a bit tight. However, you can easily go on a beautiful bike tour through the surrounding forest and take a break at the Bärenschlössle. We'll definitely come back more often!

Recommended, unfortunately often full, but the good and quick cuisine makes up for it. Always worth a visit! Before visiting in winter, we recommend calling to see if it is open! It's even open during the week, which really surprised me!

Very nicely located, which also explains the high prices for a self-service restaurant. The potato salad was good. The pretzel was not bakery quality. Although there was absolutely nothing going on at the time of our visit, the boss did not comply with our request to swap one component of a main meal (potato salad instead of potato rösti) and instead instructed us that this was just the dish and that you could order side dishes with it. In principle this may be true, but it is neither customer-friendly nor was it explained to us in a friendly manner.

I've been coming here since I was a child. You can walk around the 3 lakes and then stop off at the Bärenschlössle. Humane prices and good food. Coffee and cake is always possible. Additionally, outdoor management on weekends. The many people on the weekend spread out. Only recommended.
