Nestled in the woods for many years. The food is as delicious as ever. The staff is friendly and flexible, accommodating even small special requests. Excellent value for money.

We came here for coffee and cake. It's all self-service. Unfortunately, the interior isn't very nice and feels quite uninviting.

I debated for a long time whether to write a review. Today, however, I was more than dissatisfied with the food. I live in a time where veganism isn't just a trend or a short-lived fad, but rather a way of life for many people, whether for health reasons or out of conviction. Today's dish, the vegan battered fish, reminded me more of the lowest-quality cafeteria food. The fried potatoes also didn't suit my taste. Far too greasy and undercooked. The vegan remoulade was very good. €15.90 is a hefty price. I enjoy coming to Bärenschlössle often and will stick to drinks in the future. I want a proper ending to my relaxing meal.

A classic day-trip restaurant on Lake Bärensee, just as you'd expect: solid food, a decent selection, and a beautiful location surrounded by greenery. As usual, it's very busy on weekends, which sometimes makes the stay a bit tense, though the owners aren't to blame. Overall, though, a good stop for a break during walks or bike rides. Nothing special, but okay.

Love that place. They have such a great variety of meals, drinks & yummy Kuchen! The surroundings are so beautiful, and they have lots of inside and outside seating options. Also, it can get very busy on a sunny weekend day, but the kitchen works fast.

The ambiance is very nice. The sausage salad, however, was dressed with far too much vinegar. The potato salad was also only average.

Self-service restaurant with simple hot dishes and delicious cakes. Unfortunately, there are no milk alternatives for coffee drinks. Busy even during the week at lunchtime. Dogs on leashes are allowed inside. There are numerous water bowls outside.

I went here with my Aunt and Uncle who live in Stuttgart Germany in 2006. What wonderful Apfel Struedel and great scenery. Very beautiful and magical experience.

The reconstructed 19th-century pleasure palace is beautifully situated directly on Lake Bärensee and not far from Lake Neuer See. Direct access by car isn't possible, but the footpaths are completely accessible, as are the circular trails around the lakes. The self-service restaurant Bärenschlössle has a fantastic terrace with a direct view of Lake Bärensee. There's also indoor seating, along with a very wide selection of food and drinks. There are also plenty of outdoor seating options, which aren't necessarily part of the palace. The entire area around the palace definitely invites you to linger, observe, and dream, with its views. Children will also have fun; it's a place for young and old alike. A very beautiful spot and therefore highly recommended. 👍 You should arrive a little early, though, as the early bird catches the worm, because it gets quite busy when the weather is dry and nice.

Yes, I can recommend it. I even stopped for a quick snack on a bike ride around Stuttgart and was completely satisfied. Prices were reasonable. Service was beer garden-worthy, but completely OK.

A great place for refreshments after visiting the Glems river and the lakes. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. The place is overcrowded on weekends. The toilets are usable, but not very clean (especially on weekends).

The cake was good (at least it tasted like a defrosted cake). There's no self-service service. The atmosphere was okay; it smelled like a toilet, there was trash everywhere, and the toilet wasn't clean at all, so it was okay for a quick visit.

A very nice destination on sunny days. You can eat and drink in the restaurant or on the outdoor terrace. A walk to the red deer park enclosure is also lovely.

There was a long line, but since there are three waiting stations, it moved very quickly, about 15 minutes. My schnitzel could have used about three more grains of salt, but it was still quite tasty. A very large menu, and a truly delicious selection of cakes. Parking is a short distance away. You can sit outside in a cozy atmosphere, and the inside is hiker-friendly.

How horrible when there's a toilet in the middle of nowhere and it's locked! Why, for example, is the toilet at the Waldfriedhof cemetery always open and so clean you could practically eat off the floor?

It's incredibly beautiful here. There's slowly becoming more food options for vegetarians and vegans, too. Unfortunately, there's still no cow's milk alternative for coffee. That's a real shame.

I was there on a Monday, which is a day off. But the Bärenseen lakes and the castle are classics in Stuttgart. Nice for a walk and sitting by the castle. Also a nice bike ride.

At the head of Lake Bärensee is the charming little Bärenschlössle (Bären Castle). In addition to a wide selection of cakes and drinks, you can also enjoy delicious snacks packed by yourself. The path around the lake is perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling. In addition to enjoying nature and a beautiful view of the water, the numerous benches provide a pleasant and relaxing environment.

The ambiance and location are fantastic, and so is the food, unfortunately in a negative way. A pretzel that's inedible even for Swabians, fried potatoes that are okay but unfortunately covered in salad dressing (all on one plate), it's truly awful. The egg, like everything else, is of the lowest quality.

The best ice cream in Stuttgart. The banana ice cream is especially recommended.

The food was delicious, especially in this summer weather and the ambiance of the Rotwildpark in Stuttgart. The service was also very good and friendly. I particularly liked the new employee, Florian, who was very polite and attentive. I can only recommend the shop and will be back for ice cream with this beautiful setting.

We've been there many times, every time it's been lovely. Delicious, and then a walk to see the deer, wild boars, and around the lake.

I've known the Bärenschlössle since I was a child and absolutely nothing has changed. The place itself is very nice, everything around it is great but I absolutely cannot understand why the Bärenschlössle still offers this self-service canteen look. We ordered two turkey schnitzels with spaetzle. We wanted one with fries but there was a sign saying they didn't have any fries today. On a SATURDAY, when parents go walking and hiking with their CHILDREN, there are no fries for children :) absolutely fantastic. We couldn't even eat half the turkey schnitzel because it was completely greasy. We paid €40 for it with two soft drinks. €40 and we felt sick because it was so greasy. It's so sad, I'm 33 now and the fact that absolutely nothing has changed just shows that Germany isn't open to new things.

The Bärenschlössle itself is quite okay. I just don't understand all the hype surrounding it. I don't find the path around the lake very nice at all. There are enough places to sit, but that's about it. The water smelled really bad in places today. So, I'm sorry, but I can't recommend the area around it at least.

Always worth a visit. You can also walk along one of the lakes, where you'll always find a shady spot. Prices on site are adjusted to the time of year.

It's like a vacation, highly recommended. The fact that there were even cushions on the wooden benches was comfortable. Nature and the lakes, just outside the big city, a delight.

I can't comment on the restaurant, as we didn't eat there. I highly recommend the hike around the lake! It's about 6 km on natural terrain.

We took a lovely walk around the lakes. It's always relaxing, like a little vacation. Afterwards, we stopped off at the Bärenschlössle. A large selection, and everything was delicious. Ordering and serving were well-staffed and superbly organized. There's plenty of seating...we'd happily return. The cake selection is also extensive and truly delicious.

It's always beautiful here. Stroll around the lakes, thankfully without cyclists, then climb up to Bärenschlössle, have a bite to eat, enjoy the view, and the trip is worth it.

Beautifully situated in the middle of the forest by the lake. The hike there from Wildparkstraße will work up an appetite, but you can work off the delicious calories you've eaten on the way back. Highly recommended!

You have to get your own food and drinks. That's a bit of a shame. The Flammkuchen is very tasty. They serve Pepsi Zero from a bottle, great for diabetics like me because you can clearly see that you are really drinking zero. Pepsi is the second plus, much tastier than Coke Zero. A very beautiful and relaxing place. The food is excellent, and the processes have improved significantly. If you want to spend a lovely day in the countryside, you have to go.

We planned a short hike around Lake Bärensee, stopping off at the restaurant beforehand. Special requests were met with advice to everyone's satisfaction, including delicious food – it was fantastic. You can also make hikes longer than just 4 km here, but this time it was enough for us.

The Bärenschlössle, with its surrounding lakes and forest, has been a favorite place for walks and rest for decades. The restaurant team works very well together, and the food is good and plentiful. It's great value for money. Keep it up. High praise and thank you.

A lovely destination and a very decent kitchen with hot and cold dishes. A changing daily special. However, I would like to see fresh lumberjack bread instead of boring slices of bread with the sausage salad. That would be much better.

A beautifully located snack bar. It offers many small dishes and changing daily specials, as well as coffee and cake. When the weather is nice, there are plenty of benches outside and also upstairs at the Bärenschlössle. Highchairs are available for toddlers. The restrooms are cleaned regularly. Only accessible on foot or by bike. Due to freshly poured gravel, it's only accessible with strollers with large wheels; buggies are currently getting stuck.

I've been coming to the Bärenseen lakes since I was a child and ALWAYS stop at the Bärenschlössle. I find the service sensational. Even when the line at the food counter is long on weekends, you get served surprisingly quickly. I've always experienced friendly staff, and the food, whether salads, hot meals, or cakes, is simply delicious and of very high quality. If everything were served by waitress service, it would take much longer. I'm sure of it. I feel completely at home in and around the Bärenschlössle, especially when I've managed to snag a sunny spot on the balustrade, which is no problem during the week. It usually works out on weekends, too. For me, a stay at the Bärensee, including the Bärenschlössle, is pure bliss and relaxation. I would like to thank the owner and the staff for their tireless efforts, their friendliness, and their great concept for serving guests quickly. See you again very soon! ❤️

Today we visited the Bärenschlössle while we were walking around the lakes. And what can I say: delicious food at a fair price. We had the schnitzel with potato salad, the venison ragout with spaetzle, and a side salad. Everything was freshly prepared and we enjoyed it immensely. Of course, it's self-service, but we knew that beforehand and it didn't bother us at all. I particularly take my hat off to the excellent organization (3 cash registers) and the staff, who, despite it being a Sunday, the beautiful weather, and lunchtime, served all customers conveniently and quickly, despite the huge crowds. And the staff were very friendly in their dealings with us. I don't really understand other reports, but I've only been there once before. So far – after today's experience, it calls for a repeat :-) ... in any case, thank you to the whole team for your work!

Nice place to visit. Service is well organized. Self-service and space can always be found somewhere in the castle. Sometimes a bit crowded, but always a nice atmosphere. Toilets are always in good condition.
