Mohren Wirtshaus in Ravensburg

Waren gestern vor Ort, sind aufgrund der guten Bewertungen hingegangen und haben die schlechten Bewertungen eher ignoriert, Leider muss ich sagen, dass das Essen sehr enttäuschend war. Mein Mann hatte das schwäbische Dreierlei und ich Spargel mit Rosmarinkartoffeln und Schweinefilet. Beide Gerichte sind nicht gerade preiswert mit fast 30€ pro Gericht, aber die Qualität war doch sehr bescheiden. Optisch zwar sehr ansprechend, aber geschmacklich waren beide Gerichte so als wären sie aufgewärmt worden und nicht frisch zubereitet. Resümee: Personal sehr freundlich, Location sehr ansprechend (bis auf die Toiletten, die könnten besser gereinigt sein), Essen leider sehr enttäuschend.

A wonderful day - the perfect wedding celebration! We celebrated our civil wedding in the Mohren and it was just perfect! We were warmly looked after in advance and we were able to coordinate an individual menu with the service manager so that everything met our expectations. On the day itself, everything was prepared down to the smallest detail on the beautifully covered terrace. The atmosphere was stylish and appealing - exactly what we wanted for our celebration. The service was outstanding: attentive, friendly and professional. Our guests and we were well looked after and so we were able to enjoy everything to the fullest. The food was, as always, a highlight - from the starters to the dessert! A huge thank you to the entire Mohren team! You made this special day unforgettable for us! We will definitely be back and can recommend you without reservation!

On the way home to Nattheim after a great day hiking tour in the Allgäu, we stopped here to eat something delicious. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and invites you to sit down. When the weather is nice, there are also plenty of seats available outside in front of the restaurant ☀️ The menu is pleasantly clear (I personally don't need 12 different schnitzel variants on one menu) and offers something delicious to choose from for every taste. I chose the breaded pork schnitzel with fries, my wife chose the veal Maultaschen with potato salad. First of all there was a delicious mixed side salad. Short and painless: Everything tasted really delicious 😃 Service friendly and courteous at all times, absolutely fair prices... What more could you want ✔️

I recommend booking a table here. We were there midweek during the holiday season and the restaurant was almost full. A large menu with a selection of dishes so that everyone can find something. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the starter salad, which was very tasty. I didn't finish my portion of fish and asked if they could pack it for me. It meant that for a small fee (I think €0.70) I got a great shrink-wrapped package with my food👍👍👍.

I was there for lunch today, the service was very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was cozy. I ordered a “tavern burger”. Unfortunately, the "patty" was more reminiscent of a meatball than a classic beef burger patty from (Alp) beef, which is a shame. The consistency was also strange. But: Maybe a "tavern burger" is different, and therefore a matter of taste, I will order something different next time, the burger wasn't my cup of tea.

Gluten free or not? Two dishes on the menu can be ordered as a gluten-free option. The gluten-free schnitzel with fries or gluten-free burger. Unfortunately, the fries are not really gluten-free, as foods containing gluten are also prepared in the deep fryer. We still ordered both. Neither of them impressed us with the taste. I was particularly annoyed by the misleading wording in the card. If it says gluten-free, you should get gluten-free.

There is a recommendation from me. We were there during the week with 2 people without a reservation. There were still a few seats inside. It is well attended. Great atmosphere. The food is super delicious. The portions are generous. The service was attentive. We'd love to come back.

Restaurant mit modernen Ambiente, trotzdem rustikal gemütlich. Angenehme Atmosphäre und rasche, freundliche Bedienung. Allerdings waren wir mit dem Essen nicht sehr zufrieden: Die Krautkrapfen waren fettig und offenbar nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern in der Bratpfanne aufgebraten; der Kartoffelrösti unter dem Burgerfleisch (eigentlich eine nette Idee, so ein Rösti-Burger) war vom Fett des Burgers durchtränkt. Dafür passte dann das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr. Lokal ist sympathisch, das Essen naja.

All I can say is simply fantastic... We had an excellent meal, the young service employee was extremely friendly and accommodating... We felt totally comfortable in the beautiful place in the lounge...😊😊👍 So from gave us absolutely the highest score... Thank you and I hope the reservation works out just as well next time

Super delicious food, never eaten better

The ambience was nice and the service was also very nice, but the quality of the meat (once duck and once venison ragout) was unfortunately really bad. The duck's skin was wobbly and the meat was tough. The venison was also tough and not tender. We expected something different from the reviews here. Too bad!

Wir waren zu dritt beim Abendessen im Mohren in Ravensburg und alle drei waren wir sehr positiv überrascht. Essen, Getränke, Service, Einrichtung, Gäste... alles hat gepasst. Es war sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch dort. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Reservation very useful. Food typically Swabian. Staff very friendly and nice despite the restaurant being full. It's a bit like a train station when everything is full, but it's a must when you're in Ravensburg.

We checked in for the weekend and had breakfast included, which was very extensive and varied. There was actually nothing that didn't exist, except maybe. with the fruit salad, which had little other than apple pieces. The rolls were fresh and like they came from a bakery, so no baked rolls - great!

We were at the Mohren for a family celebration. The food was, as always, very good. I can only recommend the location! The vegetarian dishes are also very tasty.

It was our first time here and we had a reservation. We were brought to the place at absolute speed. Cards laid down ready no friendly hello nothing. Our service was nice but you can tell that mass processing is a shame. One had the impression that one was on the run here. The location is very nice, the food is good.

It is our second visit after 2 years+. But the level of the restaurant is still very good. We ate small salad and 3/3 Swabian (three Swabian local specialties on one plate). The salad was described as „small“, but it was good portion(carrots, rocket salad, potato salad, cucumber, tomato, etc.) Actually I had 3/3 Swabian at Kupfelre at lunch time and personally I thought Dumplings were slightly better at Kupferle, but other 2 local specialties were better at Mohren - especially Käse Spetzle was excellent! It was heavy, but heart warming dishes with huge portion😄 I also saw someone ordered a burger, which was huge one. The service was friendly and excellent- nothing to complain, just compliments! The space between tables were also wide enough. WC was clean. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

Service was very friendly and really hardworking. Unfortunately we didn't really like the "terrace", as sitting outside in a traditional beer garden is nicer. Inside it was beautifully modern furnished. What I found a bit strange was that the folded napkins and other stuff were on a step. Basically, you walk on a staircase with your shoes on, and then I don't want to use the napkin anymore. Luckily we had other napkins outside. If this staircase is not used, you should still find another place for napkins. I had imagined my starter of two types of salmon to be different. I know salmon tartare cut much finer and unfortunately it wasn't very tasty. In general, the starter read better than what ended up on the plate. The small side salad was solid. My Maultaschen with the potato salad were good. The ratio of Maultaschen (3 small ravioli) to potato salad was unbalanced, unfortunately the same was true of the pork fillet, with spaetzle and vegetables. There were tons of spaetzle, a broccoli floret, 5 slices of carrots and 6 small cubes of zucchini plus a piece of meat. Side dishes are cheaper but we didn't order a portion of spaetzle and potato salad with a little something on the side... A balanced calculation of quantities would have been nice. The taste was good. All in all, we won't be coming back because the prices quoted are too high for a "plate of spaetzle" or a "plate of potato salad". Then we prefer to go to one of the other restaurants.

Great food, nice seating outside and very nice service. Definitely recommended! The only small disadvantage is that the seats outside are quite sloping, which could become a bit uncomfortable in the long run.

Nous avons réservé une table en terrasse qui nous a été confirmée et en arrivant la serveuse a voulu nous s’installer à l’intérieur. Il a fallu discuter pour être installer à l’extérieur. Une fois la commande prise, l’apéritif a été servie en même temps que les plats. Et les verres de vin pour accompagner le plat principal n’ont jamais été servis. Le service manque de douceur et de véritable sympathie. Les plats sont relativement simple. Je suis extrêmement surpris de la première place de ce restaurant à Ravensbourg alors que d’autres restaurants ont de meilleurs notes et sont classés après…

Very good service, good prices and size of dishes, roast pork and cheese spaetzle tasted excellent. Onion beef roast was very tasty and the citizen with sweet potatoes was very large and tasty. Thank you very much for good food.

Mediocre, overpriced, we ask for a large bottle of still water we receive a glass of water, we ask for normal fries they bring us sweet potato fries much more expensive, we ask for a salad with tomatoes, we get it we receive with potatoes, we ask for a dessert the ice cream that goes with it is missing, we ask for a new glass of still water we receive sparkling water. Nothing is going well, a water glass for more than €3 is unacceptable. And not even a bowl to water our pet.

The sausage salad combination with fried potatoes was very good, I can highly recommend it! The onion roast was good, but unfortunately a bit bland and it was fried over medium, so one star was deducted. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. Very good home cooking with a good price/performance ratio. The Mohren restaurant is one of the better addresses in Ravensburg if you want to eat well. The carrot plate with cheese spaetzle is highly recommended. Only the Bunte Markt salad could be a little more “colorful and mixed”. We mainly had leaf lettuce with a spoonful of potato salad and three slices of cucumber. Nevertheless, the salad was fresh and good. The service was also quick, attentive and very friendly, which unfortunately is no longer a given everywhere today. We'd love to come back.

We were there on my birthday. The service employee was very attentive (also congratulated me) and served us very well. The food tasted really good, the wine was tasty...a successful evening!

Ate roast pork with sauce and homemade potato salad as well as pork fillet with cheese spaetzle and vegetables. Both dishes were sensationally good. Will come here again when we are in the area.

Visited the restaurant for lunch yesterday. The guest houses are spacious, clean and modernly furnished. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good and the salads were fresh. The prices quoted are in the upper midfield. As already described, you get good quality food and decent portions. It remains to be hoped that the positive impressions remain. Then you can easily recommend this Gadthaus and come back to eat there yourself.

Incredibly good food! There were four of us and we had all sorts of different dishes! The service was great and responded to all of our tons of extra requests. The traditional cuisine is sensational! It must be said, however, that the Käsespätzle were very mountain cheesy and very, very strong. Unfortunately, the spelled spaetzle was a little dry, but the gravy helped.

The service is good, the food is too - and we liked the location. If you're looking for home-style cooking, you'll find it here... no extravagances, just good food at (IMHO) moderate prices. Great for us!

The two of us were there at lunchtime yesterday. Very good seasonal (currently including asparagus) and regional menu. Service impeccable and attentive. Absolute recommendation.

We often go to Mohren and it always tastes extremely delicious! The atmosphere in the restaurant is rustic and cozy. The terrace in the rear area is quietly located towards the backyard. The staff is consistently friendly and very attentive. The food comes very quickly and at the same time for everyone at the table. We just don't like the outdoor spaces on the street that much. It's loud and the tables are so crooked due to the slope of the street that you're always afraid of accidentally pushing the glasses off the table. Therefore a star deduction for the ambience.

The veggie burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. I can only recommend the homemade organic iced tea :) you can sit outside and don't have to wait long for the food.

We have reserved a table for 3 people for Saturday lunchtime. We were warmly welcomed and our wish to get a place in the garden restaurant due to the nice weather was spontaneously implemented. We enjoyed our stay there in pleasant temperatures. Great ambience, friendly and attentive service and delicious food. My son and I were motivated to have a roast pork while my wife stayed true to the vegetarian diet. We were all thrilled with our choice. Farny and Meckatzer beers contributed to the pleasant stay. If the opportunity arises, we would be happy to be guests at the Mohren again.

Food was great, but unfortunately this table reservation with CentralPlanner doesn't work at all, then spam comes. Sorry, but that's a no-go.

We really liked the tables and chairs (high). Very successful furnishings with the pictures on the wall. Staff should ask during the meal and not at the end whether it is okay. Otherwise the service was friendly. The big sore point is the food. We had salad with shrimps and an onion roast of grass-fed beef with fried onions and spaetzle. As ordered, the meat was delicate pink and exactly how I wanted it. The shrimp and salad were very good. Unfortunately the sauce was a bit bland. This also applied to the sauce on the roast. The spaetzle (I am an absolute spaetzle fan and make all kinds of it myself, perhaps a disadvantage for the Moor's cook) clearly had too little salt. Sauce and spaetzle too bland. Neither of the two (sauce - spaetzle) could save the other. The roast was a bit dry and tough. I don't know whether it was the meat (I assume steak) or the preparation (either cook for a long time at a low temperature or let it rest in aluminum foil for 5-10 minutes - the juices spread throughout the meat and make it tender and juicy). A waste plate should be served with the shrimp tails with salad. The waste had to be deposited on the napkin as there was no space on the plate.

The food was great and the service was one of the best I've ever had. She was really on the ball. But it was so indescribably warm. It was so hot in the store I thought I was in a sauna. I had to adjust my food choices and switched from soup to salad as a starter. Afterwards I had to defend the salad against three hungry dromedaries and was accepted as one of them by a passing Bedouin tribe because it was so warm in there. Joking aside, it was easily 40 degrees.

We ate there with a reservation on the Easter weekend. It's crazy how big this location actually is. We were taken further into a very nice room. The restaurant was very busy on Saturday evening. Four children and two adults. Everyone ate something different and we were all very satisfied. It was delicious and the service was great.
