After about 10x Humpis over the last 3 years, I don't feel comfortable giving it a rating: Not once was I disappointed in terms of cuisine, but in 8 out of 10 visits I was disappointed by the service. After the main course, at the latest, you as a guest are invisible* for the waiters (at least it must be taken into account that there doesn't seem to be too much fluctuation among the staff, because I know everyone now). Bottomline: If you are looking for classic Swabian cuisine with a large vegetarian and slightly smaller vegan selection that really tastes excellent, you will find it here. If you're easily annoyed because all the waiters are playing hide-and-seek after halftime, you should definitely sit near the bar. *my accepted waiting time for ordering/reordering/paying is 10 minutes in a relatively empty restaurant.

Went there for lunch after our visit to the Ravensburger Museum (Sundays around 12:30) We didn't have a reservation and were still seated very friendly at a large, comfortable table with other guests. The service was extremely friendly and also very friendly to our already very hungry 5 year old. We had pizza and Swabian Dinnetes because the lady politely told us that these dishes would be ready quickest at the moment due to the heavy rush (she had probably noticed how un-relaxed the junior was already 😊) The food was really wonderful and the overall result was great.

We stopped there spontaneously and were surprised by the cozy atmosphere. It is very comfortably furnished and well lit. The waiters are friendly and always keep an eye on what's going on. The food was very good, at a fair price. Gladly again.

We were 2 adults and 2 kids. The food was tasty, when I reordered the wrong dish came and it took quite a long time to reorder and the children became impatient. The inn was nice, the stairs down to the toilets were very poorly lit and not at all safe. The faucet in the men's toilet is a disaster, press the water for 1 second and then repeat this 10 times until you have washed your hands to some extent. All in all, not a repeat visit for us.

Good organic quality food at fair prices. We were there every evening during our vacation week.

Here you can eat home-style food and receive friendly and prompt service. The lentils with spaetzle are wonderful. We'd love to come back when we're in Ravensburg.

In the middle of Upper Swabia you can look forward to good local cuisine and get an onion roast with a "sauce" that was more like brown water and spaetzle with no taste. Very unfortunate.

The waitresses take a really long time to serve drinks or food.... for the price you pay there you can eat better next door.... As a Swabian, I thought the cheese spaetzle last time was really bad and they were also overcooked... .

The food was very tasty, price/performance ratio really great.

After we weren't served very friendly (no greeting, rather stressed) I got lentils and spaetzle that weren't edible. The Swabian lentils were prepared with cumin and too much vinegar and the spaetzle was overcooked. The food was taken away without comment, but I was only asked later if I wanted something else. It's a shame for the restaurant, which used to have really friendly service staff and good food.

Eating in old idyllic surroundings

Stopped here for a lunch after strolling through Ravensburg. A beautiful sunny day and sat outside at the tables on the sidewalk. Very pleasant ambience. Food and service were both very good. Kasespaetzle was very good, large portion and side salads were very fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced...

Collective failure of kitchen + service. Waited 1 1/2 hours for the food and then left disappointed with an empty stomach. Not recommended, there are enough delicious restaurants in Ravensburg to avoid this one.

I would be happy to recommend Humpis in Ravensburg if you are looking for a classic onion roast. The cooking level is excellent, the spaetzli are delicious and the lady in front and behind the counter is very nice. On my last visit after a year, the onion roast was just as delicious as before. The schnitzel and my asparagus with beef fillet were also perfectly prepared. The beef fillet was served medium rare as ordered. The fried potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The service was charming and loving. The Humpis is a classic in Ravensburg.

We picked this place to get a quick beer and a cup of coffe. It seemed nice and it was. BUT THE WAITRESS! 🙄🫣🤦 First she took the order of 2 beers and a coffe. She brought 3 beers. When we said we ordered 2 and a coffe she was annoyed. We said, ok, just bring coffe and leave the beer... We wanted to pay and than she did not want to give my friend 2 eur return money. She said, it's ok... NO IT'S NOT OK!

Waitress brought us wrong drinks 0.5 instead of 0.3, she should listen to the customers better. She brought coffee after we reminded her of our order and almost spilled it on us... There was no bill and she even wanted a tip? Funny. Please listen and be patient or find another job.

I was there on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was full to the last seat. That says it all.

Unfortunately we were unlucky with unfriendly service. As soon as we arrived, she was pretty annoyed at the next table because no one there spoke German and she couldn't really deal with it. When we ordered, we received the wrong dish (main course instead of soup) and pointed this out to the waitress, who reacted very unfriendly, became loud and said that we had ordered the wrong plate. There was no effort on their part to find a satisfactory solution, which is why we decided not to order any more dishes, even though the restaurant itself is very cozy and the food was delicious. We were charged in full for the food we didn't want.

Very nice place, in the center, good food and good offer. However, the service was very rude and arrogant, as after the arrival of a wrong dish, when this was pointed out the waitress raised her voice and started arguing at the table... after which she never showed up again and was replaced from a colleague. In addition to the dish error, this also resulted in an increase in price which was included in the final bill. If you are not able to work with the public, don't do it, go do something else...

The starter was good, but the rudeness and rudeness of the waitress made us change our mind, leading us not to continue with ordering other dishes and to decide to then move to another restaurant. Pointing out that one of the three dishes was wrong compared to what was ordered (a 16 euro Hauptgericht was served compared to the approximately 8 euro starter requested), the waitress responded rudely, telling us that we were the ones who made the mistake in ordering. We spontaneously went to the restaurant at around 2 p.m. and were greeted politely. Service, service and the food were very tasty.

Although we arrived there spontaneously at 1 p.m. on Easter Monday, we were immediately given a table with extremely courteous and friendly service. The ambience of the rustic old restaurant, as well as the excellent food there (with an unusual menu) invite you to come back for another visit.

Very good restaurant for local cuisine, but also with a great weekly menu. But my favorite thing to eat here is the Dinnete, which tastes great and is the perfect size to fill you up. Sitting in the next room is particularly nice.

Really great ambience and the service is very accommodating, the Kässpetzle were very good but the portion was a bit small. In terms of price, everything was really okay. Kässpätzle with salad, two wheat cola and tiramisu were available for around €30

Five of us spontaneously got a place at 8 p.m. without a reservation. The service was very friendly. We can highly recommend the schnitzel, the Maultaschen and the homemade spaetzle. The sauce for the cream schnitzel was very tasty, unfortunately the meat was a bit hard/dry but tasted good.

We entered out of curiosity as the place looked nice from the outside and inspired confidence. The pizza chef welcomed us and let us choose where we wanted to sit (we opted for the small attic) In the end the waitress (you can tell by her lack of desire to work and above all by her lack of professionalism) left us there without coming to our table again. I highly recommend the waitress (if she knows what to do) to take a refresher course in gastronomy because currently she could only work on a road construction site Good work !

I hardly care about food reviews because everyone simply eats differently. I should have done better this time. There were 7 of us, all of us had the same opinion, spaetzle tasted like nothing, lentils tasted like nothing and totally watery. I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. And then comes... If you pay in cash there is a 5% discount, but the full amount is still collected. If you point this out, the excess amount collected will be slapped on the table without comment. And that with a tip of almost 6 euros for the lady. Once...but never again. Ambience 2 stars because we sat right by the window.

The last time you have to wait a bit if it's full but it's definitely worth it. I'll definitely come back

State of emergency LIGHT FESTIVAL! But unfortunately the noise level was unbearable from the start. Food didn't come for everyone at the same time, some were ready and others got their food first - a big MINUS. Unfortunately this was not addressed. Side salad was also miserable “sour & potato chunks”. Main meal was OK. But definitely not classed as high quality... For us, a restaurant as an emergency solution - no luck with that! Unfortunately - good luck to you. 🍀🍀

Had dinner there last week. Lentils, spaetzle and strings. My husband had Maultaschen soup and potato salad. The entire meal was hardly seasoned. We were really annoyed. Told the waitress as we were leaving. No apologies, although the service was otherwise friendly. So we wouldn't recommend the restaurant. We also had a seat at the door. Was extremely drafty.

After visiting the Ravensburger Spielemuseum, the three of us stopped at Humpis directly opposite to try out our newly acquired card game with a beer and later a meal. The owners, two sisters, approached us warmly and greeted us warmly. We sat down right next to the fireplace. Very quaint. And above all, the oldest restaurant in Ravensburg! The beer (Humpis) is amazing. Super tasty and totally delicious. And then the food came. Delicious. The menu had a lot to choose from and our food tasted absolutely delicious. The best was the pizza with blood sausage (called black sausage in Ravensburg) - if I come to Ravensburg again, I'll go there!!!!

We will never, ever enter this restaurant. We had to wait a solid hour for our food. When the food finally arrived, we were disappointed to find that it just wasn't good. The chef should think about dishes that he can do well. When it came to veal schnitzel with potatoes, the potatoes were cold. The potato salad on the salad plate is a shame for every Swabian. Chopped it into crumbs and you could tell that it was made from cold potatoes. Inedible in taste. The onion roast was a raw piece of meat. The first thing we did was go back to the kitchen. The second one didn't look any better. At some point our patience ran out and the free chocolate mouse didn't help either. At least the Margherita pizza was ok. The young waitress was great. A big praise. The slightly older conditions were not so good. Made a very nice impression. If you pay cash you get a 5% discount. So watch out! Unfortunately we didn't get the 5%.

Anfang Dezember war ich mit einer Gruppe hier zum Abendessen. Es sieht hier gemütlich aus, schön eingerichtet, aber am Tag denke ich eher dunkel trotz Beleuchtung. Die Bedienung freundlich aber ich hatte eine Mahlzeit wo das Schnitzel wie ein Minutensteak aus dem Supermarkt geschmeckt hat. Bei Barzahlung 5% Rabatt erhalten.

Richtig schöne alte Kneipe wo man gut essen kann. Rustikale alte Einrichtung. Nettes Personal. Toilette geht es steile Treppen hinunter!

Hmm, das Essen war sehr gut. Aber die meisten Cappuccinos am Tisch waren eher Milchkaffee. Milchschaum war keiner drauf, dafür randvoll mit Milch. Laktosefreie Milch war aus. Bei diesen gehobenen Preisen darf so etwas nicht passieren.

Das positive zuerst. Personal ist super nett gewesen. Getränke sind auch Recht zügig gekommen. Beilagensalate kamen auch im zeitlichen Rahmen. Das negative. Essen nach 2 Stunde immer noch nicht bei uns am Tisch. Wir haben das Essen abbestellt und haben das Lokal hungrig verlassen. Immerhin sind die Getränke auf's Haus gegangen. Die Gaststätte macht einen schmuddeligen Eindruck. Es könnte mal gestrichen werden.

Wurden schnell und gut bedient. Essen war sehr lecker. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es hat uns positiv überrascht, da OSS Messe war und sie uns mit 5 Personen schnell einen Platz zuweisen konnten. Da war ich nicht das letzte Mal.

Nach 20 minuten warten auf die Bedienung gehen wir jetzt in ein anderes Restaurant. Dabei sind nicht viele Tische belegt. Enttäuschend.

Sehr schöne Gaststätte in historischem Gebäude mit rustikaler Anmutung. Die Karte ist überschaubar, die angebotenen Speisen von sehr guter Qualität. Die Preise dafür sind absolut in Ordnung Momentan herrscht wohl Personalnotstand, was der Service jedoch sehr gut kaschieren konnte. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Es hat mir nicht gefallen. Draußen war es viel zu dunkel um zu speisen. Das Essen kam erst nach 50 min. Besteck haben die vergessen zubringen und wir mussten selber nachfragen. Ich habe Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt und es war geschmacklos und langweilig. Für den Preis hätte ich was anderes erwartet.

Ein wirklich qualitatives Restaurant, was seinesgleichen sucht. Das Essen wie das Restaurant und die location, kann man einfach nur empfehlen. Ich kommen gerne vorbei und genieße die Abende mit Familie oder Freunden Vorort. Da ich ausschließlich Bargeldzahler bin und erfreue ich mich sehr über eure Aktion und werde euch weiterempfehlen, wie sonst auch immer.
