If you don't mind waiting two hours for food when the store is half full, this is the place for you. The food is good, but unfortunately it takes three to four business days to arrive.

The Humpis Restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of the famous, imposing "Mehlsack" city tower. The historic structure lends a very special charm, creating a sense of security. The food and service impressed us. The restaurant met our tastes, and we would choose it again on our next visit to Ravensburg.

The soup was extremely oversalted. When I complained, I just got a shoulder shrug from two different servers, and they didn't care. Additionally, one part of the restaurant is quite dark and noisy. Sitting outside is great, though, when the sun is shining!

Excellent traditional Schwäbisch food. We had Dinnete (aka Schwäbisch pizza) which came very quickly. It was busy at the time but the service was still very good.

We were here as a family, choosing Humpis because it was easy to get to and they served Maultaschen for the kid :) We all enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner two days later. All of our requests were accommodated (separate sauce, extra plate, smaller spoon, etc.)

We've been coming to Ravensburg for years, and we always return to this typical Bavarian restaurant for dinner... the atmosphere and food are always top-notch! We'll definitely be back...

I was alone at RV over the weekend, and on Friday it was too crowded for me alone. ABBA. But I had a RELAXED & EXTREMELY DELICIOUS finish on Sunday. (TIP -> When walking past several times after sitting down, at least make BRIEF eye contact to let them know you were NOTICED -> but understandable for two waitresses at lunchtime) I'LL BE AGAIN & HAPPILY RECOMMEND IT 🍀

Everything was fine. Unfortunately, the burger wasn't quite warm when it was served, but otherwise the food tasted good. It was good value for money. The beer was great. One criticism: We had to remind them several times at the end that we wanted to pay, and there was only one high chair occupied.

The food was burnt and tasted oversalted in places. The service was inattentive and didn't respond to questions. They spent ages talking to other customers, and we had to ask several times to pay.

Delicious food with live music We sat outside and enjoyed a delicious meal. The grilled feta cheese with watermelon was excellent, as were the cheese spaetzle, which were also very tasty. There was also music playing on the street. The four of us had a lovely evening.

We have been to the Humpis Restaurant several times. It always varies in terms of quality and service. This time there were two of us on a Thursday evening. Without a reservation, the service seemed annoyed, even though some tables were still free and not reserved. The food came quickly and my grilled tofu with fried potatoes was delicious. 👍🏼 According to the internet, you get a 5% discount if you pay in cash. This is neither mentioned here when paying nor propagated in any other way. It's actually a shame, I think the basic idea is great. We just like the location, although unfortunately the price/performance ratio is becoming less and less appropriate.

Solid restaurant, would go again even if the concept is not entirely clear.

Far too expensive prices for far too small portions. Over €10 for three small breads with avocado spread. The Maultaschen soup had carrot strips in it, which didn't taste good at all. The broth tasted like nothing and was unsalted. The only thing that tasted good was the water. Over €80 for the evening and we all had to eat kebab afterwards to get our fill.

Yesterday we were here as a group and made ourselves comfortable here! The food came relatively quickly and you felt like you were in good hands there. There are enough drinks and dishes to offer on the menu. Friendly staff and nice approach to guests.

The food is very delicious, I have to be honest here. But the service can surely be better. Every time we’re trying to get a table here, the waiters just ignore our presence and sit people later in line, or someone completely random. The food itself is good, but the waiters have to be more organized, or it just ruins the atmosphere of the whole place.

Everything was right! Price good, tastes great and atmosphere with friendly and helpful service.

Unfortunately, that wasn't enough. We had a late lunch and just wanted a quick bite. The pizza was good, and the price was reasonable. Then we had three bruschettas. For just under €10 each, we got three thin slices of baguette, which were sparsely topped and could have used a bit more seasoning. The price was way over the top. What a shame.

Eaten and drank well. Gladly again.

Phenomenally delicious food in a rustic atmosphere

The best pizza I've eaten in a long time! Perfect size, plenty of toppings but not overloaded – and the floor? Simply super crispy and crunchy! So delicious! Even in Italy we didn't always eat so well. It only tastes better in Rome. For two of us with three drinks and two pizzas we paid €48. Added to this is the super friendly staff, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Absolute recommendation – we will definitely come back!

The sauces taste like fixed products, Maultaschen are way too peppery and not beautifully presented. The salad wasn't exactly amazing either, the potato salad tasted like ready-made broth. The liver was fried for too long. The fried potatoes were ok. The service employee was in a bad mood :(

Short stop for a cappucino, the first reception was rather cool, the second lady was super friendly, saved everything! The space directly overlooking the blazing wood stove was great, and the hot drink was delicious. Little tip: even if you have found the entrance door and opened it, you can hardly tell that you have opened it...too dark in the vestibule, too meaningless from the outside in winter. Beautiful historic restaurant. The food was good. We've been here quite often. The service wasn't that great today. The food took a long time. The restaurant was not very busy at that time. Since our last visit, prices have risen significantly overall. But if it's too expensive for you, you don't have to go.

Depending on the day. I was thrilled with the food and the service. Last time particularly disappointed with the service. 1 hour wait for the food. Then the wrong thing happened. The promise that you will get something on the house. After waiting again for the bill, we wanted to leave. And don't drink any more. It was then not possible to deduct a small specific amount from the invoice. The table next to us waited 30 minutes for a small water. That's better!

Was there for the first time. Table reservation required - at least on Friday evening. Packed full. Predominantly younger audience. Haven't eaten anything. However, my companions' food looked very tasty and smelled excellent (red lentil soup or dinnete). Attentive service, relaxed and cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely come back.

Disappointing!! The service was almost paramilitary and annoying: order quickly, eat quickly, get out quickly so that the place is free for the next guests. The salad was almost inedible. The coarsely torn lettuce leaves didn't get any dressing, the rest was floating in pure vinegar, so much so that it burned your mouth. The cheese spaetzle tasted more like it had been mixed with a cheap béchamel sauce, there was hardly any cheese and there were no typical threads. The Maultaschen were dry and tasteless, the schnitzels were tough and looked like convenience food. Even 2 hours after eating, our mouths are still burning from the vinegar and we're feeling nauseous from the food, which is something you'd expect from a bad cafeteria. The claim was sacrificed for sales, unfortunately only the sales came from me.

We had reserved a table for 15 people for a Christmas party at 7:30 p.m., unfortunately we had to wait 20 minutes in the cold, and at 7:50 p.m. our table was still not ready! Staff very unfriendly, we left the restaurant without having accomplished anything! It's good that there are other places in Ravensburg where you get friendly service. Actually you should give negative stars!

The lentils with spaetzle tasted a bit too oriental for me, but they were delicious. The meat for the spaetzle with mushrooms was too tough. The vegetarian one was probably very tasty. Hadn't tried that. Overall a good lunch.

Nice, typical restaurant for the region. Well attended on weekends and the food selection ranges from salads to a variety of pizzas to schnitzel or rump steak. There was no Schäufela or Haxn on the menu. The Humpi's beer is delicious!

Ambience and service okay, food: lots of vegetarian dishes which is a plus, nicely prepared, BUT: very very greasy (floating in sunflower oil) and very large pieces of vegetables (not bite-sized at all). Ginger lemon tea very good.

After about 10x Humpis over the last 3 years, I don't feel comfortable giving it a rating: Not once was I disappointed in terms of cuisine, but in 8 out of 10 visits I was disappointed by the service. After the main course, at the latest, you as a guest are invisible* for the waiters (at least it must be taken into account that there doesn't seem to be too much fluctuation among the staff, because I know everyone now). Bottomline: If you are looking for classic Swabian cuisine with a large vegetarian and slightly smaller vegan selection that really tastes excellent, you will find it here. If you're easily annoyed because all the waiters are playing hide-and-seek after halftime, you should definitely sit near the bar. *my accepted waiting time for ordering/reordering/paying is 10 minutes in a relatively empty restaurant.

Went there for lunch after our visit to the Ravensburger Museum (Sundays around 12:30) We didn't have a reservation and were still seated very friendly at a large, comfortable table with other guests. The service was extremely friendly and also very friendly to our already very hungry 5 year old. We had pizza and Swabian Dinnetes because the lady politely told us that these dishes would be ready quickest at the moment due to the heavy rush (she had probably noticed how un-relaxed the junior was already 😊) The food was really wonderful and the overall result was great.

We were 2 adults and 2 kids. The food was tasty, when I reordered the wrong dish came and it took quite a long time to reorder and the children became impatient. The inn was nice, the stairs down to the toilets were very poorly lit and not at all safe. The faucet in the men's toilet is a disaster, press the water for 1 second and then repeat this 10 times until you have washed your hands to some extent. All in all, not a repeat visit for us.

In the middle of Upper Swabia you can look forward to good local cuisine and get an onion roast with a "sauce" that was more like brown water and spaetzle with no taste. Very unfortunate.

The waitresses take a really long time to serve drinks or food.... for the price you pay there you can eat better next door.... As a Swabian, I thought the cheese spaetzle last time was really bad and they were also overcooked... .

Good local cuisine in a rustic atmosphere

After we weren't served very friendly (no greeting, rather stressed) I got lentils and spaetzle that weren't edible. The Swabian lentils were prepared with cumin and too much vinegar and the spaetzle was overcooked. The food was taken away without comment, but I was only asked later if I wanted something else. It's a shame for the restaurant, which used to have really friendly service staff and good food.

Stopped here for a lunch after strolling through Ravensburg. A beautiful sunny day and sat outside at the tables on the sidewalk. Very pleasant ambience. Food and service were both very good. Kasespaetzle was very good, large portion and side salads were very fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced...

Collective failure of kitchen + service. Waited 1 1/2 hours for the food and then left disappointed with an empty stomach. Not recommended, there are enough delicious restaurants in Ravensburg to avoid this one.

I would be happy to recommend Humpis in Ravensburg if you are looking for a classic onion roast. The cooking level is excellent, the spaetzli are delicious and the lady in front and behind the counter is very nice. On my last visit after a year, the onion roast was just as delicious as before. The schnitzel and my asparagus with beef fillet were also perfectly prepared. The beef fillet was served medium rare as ordered. The fried potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The service was charming and loving. The Humpis is a classic in Ravensburg.

We picked this place to get a quick beer and a cup of coffe. It seemed nice and it was. BUT THE WAITRESS! 🙄🫣🤦 First she took the order of 2 beers and a coffe. She brought 3 beers. When we said we ordered 2 and a coffe she was annoyed. We said, ok, just bring coffe and leave the beer... We wanted to pay and than she did not want to give my friend 2 eur return money. She said, it's ok... NO IT'S NOT OK!

Waitress brought us wrong drinks 0.5 instead of 0.3, she should listen to the customers better. She brought coffee after we reminded her of our order and almost spilled it on us... There was no bill and she even wanted a tip? Funny. Please listen and be patient or find another job.
