We originally thought this was an authentic Chinese restaurant, but it turned out to be a Vietnamese Asian fusion place — and what a pleasant surprise! We decided to stay, and that was absolutely the right choice. Queen’s warm and enthusiastic service made the entire evening unforgettable. She recommended the perfect combination of starters, mains, and dessert — every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. My friend even said it was the best meal they’ve had in Germany. Highly recommended!

I first tried le voyage when I was studying in Munich a few years ago, right after it opened. It was quality, properly seasoned and cooked food with a wide range of cuisines from various parts of China (especially the often spicy Sichuan cuisine which many other restaurants get away with covering bad ingredients with chili and MSG, but not here) and beyond (their General Zo’s Chicken, a Taiwanese dish that went viral in USA, was the best I’ve had anywhere). It was one of my go-to places in Munich. Bonus point for the owner who is a specialist in wine as well. After the past years of moving places and living through Covid, I finally managed to revisit here last week on a trip. I was surprised that the owner was still working with all the staff herself, and she recognised me immediately having not seen each other for 5 years. We were not friends and I didn’t come each every month. That’s the level of attention and passion she has with her business. And the food was ever better than before. The flavours were well balanced, right texture, veg stir-fried with high heat but no excessive oil. Nothing was too salty (unlike many other Chinese restaurants). I’m happy that they managed to not only live through the tough years but also flourished. In case you’re not familiar with the East Asian restaurants in Munich (and Germany in general), many of them are chained, and they do a lot of promo to make themselves popular. Le voyage is completely independent. Their chef has been working here for 5 years. Only thing they care is food, drink and their customers.

Came here for lunch with high expectations due to the reviews. Maybe the staff member was having a bad day, but he was not friendly. No smile, no greeting back, almost seemed annoyed that we were there. It was a cold, rainy day and soup was a good choice! I liked that you could add more spice to one's own preference. I did have a really disgusting piece of clam in my seafood udon, but that was just unfortunate. The fresh lemonade was really nice and not too sweet!

Amazing dumplings... I hated the dumplings after moving to Munich.. I miss my Nepali Momos back in Darjeeling... and the dumplings at Ledu brought back my taste buds alive.. I took the tasty beef, hot chicken and Korean cheese! Trust me it was sehr lecker!

My favorite Chinese! Very nice staff, especially the ladies who remain friendly even under the greatest stress. Super delicious food.

The little shop is really an insider tip, we love the food there and the uncomplicated atmosphere. The dishes are very authentic and you can tell that the owners put effort into it. Both noodle soups and dumplings were always delicious. Please keep it up, there should definitely be more places like this!

We were there for the first time today and according to rumors we had heard it was supposed to be okay, but it wasn't. We paid 70€+ for 2 people which corresponds to zero service. The food had been there for ages. It was dry not seasoned enough too sweet or too sour overall it was just extremely bad and we went home with food poisoning. We will never go there again and do not recommend that anyone ever set foot there.

A little cramped and crowded is probably part of the authentic experience. Very good value for money

We were able to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday on Saturday, November 23rd, 24 with 10 people. Peking duck and all other dishes were great. Service very courteous and friendly Atmosphere great. A great culinary experience. Thank you very much, price/performance absolutely okay.

They are very slow in preparing the food. 30 minutes is it possible

Simple atmosphere, super nice staff and the food is really good. None of the usual cheap Chinese ones. Price-performance is great!!!

When it comes to Chinese food, Bonsai in Freimann has been our first choice for years. Delicious food, very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere always attract us there. On the 40th wedding anniversary and on our guests' birthdays, the Peking duck was still being talked about for weeks. Everyone was thrilled! Thank you!!

Like a beautiful clearing in a forest. Exceptionally good Asian food, and close to the Viktualienmarkt!
