Super yummy Chinese food. I love the dry fried chicken and fish soup. Yums!! The eggplant could be better, it was sweet instead of spicy.

Food is very cheap here, but unfortunately it was a bit cold

We have been here twice and both times were fantastic! The food is definitely authentic and has a good balance of flavors. From their homemade bao and dumplings to entrees, I have yet to have anything here that I do not like. The prices are also reasonable although this is offset by smaller portions. We just order many dishes to share and everyone ends up being full. Beware that the establishment is cash-only.

Very courteous service and extremely good food

As an Chinese-indonesian living in Munich it’s quite hard to find Chinese food that really suits to my taste but Mai Garten didn’t disappoint at all! Definitely would recommend

A beautiful place with incredibly delicious food. To be honest, I found it by accident and I didn't think it would be so good. Even cucumber salad is worth something 💜

Where can you eat authentic Chinese food in Munich? Here! Phenomenal food if you know what you're getting into. The service is familiar and friendly. The atmosphere has the charm of a Chinese takeaway, bad, but that's part of it.

Legendary Chinese takeaway in Munich with fantastic food for the price. Finally with seats again! It would be even better if they finally accepted card payments. Personally, paying in cash always puts me off because I would then have to go to the bank. However, Mai Garten is worth the trip to the bank every now and then :)

I've gotten takeaway food there several times. My duck tasted perfect.👌 Today there were 3 people ordering in front of me and it still happened very quickly. You can also eat on site. Is a very small locality

Gute, authentische Küche, nicht überwürzt. Ambiente OK, als wir da waren wurde im Gastraum gebohrt und gehämmert - das muss nicht sein. Ungewöhnlich auch, dass die Gerichte ohne Reis serviert werden - muss also separat und kostenpflichtig geordert werden. Ohne Reis sind die Portionen eher überschaubar. Also lieber den Reis für 1,50 € zu bestellen. Das erhöht die ohnehin relativ hohen Preise nochmals, macht dann aber zumindest satt.

Es ist in Ordnung. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr preiswert und nicht teuer. Aber die Portionen sind dementsprechend bei Speisen zum Mitnehmen relativ klein. Ich bin nicht wirklich satt geworden. Die Nudeln waren bisschen verbrannt, vertrocknet und das Hähnchen war leider vom Vortag. Sowas schmecke ich schlicht immer raus. Es war auf keinen Fall frisch. Ich werde aber wieder kommen und werde dann dementsprechend meine Rezension revidieren. Vielleicht hatte ich auch nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt? Die Speisekarte ist sehr einfach gestaltet. Bezahlung erfolgt nur in bar. Ambiente ist nicht der Brüller. Es wirkt eher wie ein Imbiss. Der Service war aber sehr nett.

Wunderbar - von außen unscheinbar und nicht unbedingt einladend... aber innen: sehr nette Begrüßung und Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr, sehr gut. Hatte die Suppe mit Huhn und Gemüse. Alles äußerst schmackhaft. Gemüse frisch und auf "den Punkt" zubereitet...die Suppe (Brühe) so gut, dass mir schon wieder das Wasser im Mund zusammenläuft ;-). Auch das Hähnchen ... hat nach ebensolchem geschmeckt Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis: Super!

Der beste chines der stat automatisches Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Mein gerade die Nummer 20 Hünchen in gewürzsauce mit Gemüse is das Essen was ich essen würde wenn ich den Rest meines Lebens nur noch ein Gericht essen könnte. ❤️❤️

Ein richtiger Geheimtipp, zum Glück bei uns um die Ecke :-) Alles schmeckt fantastisch, wir können besonders die Ente, den Schweinebauch und die Teigtaschen empfehlen.

Das Essen war in Ordnung und preiswert, aber nicht unbedingt so gut, dass ich extra dorthin fahren würde, um Chinesisch zu essen.

Firstly, the food is quite mediocre and one of the dishes we ordered was too salty to eat. Even the manager admitted that the dish was too salty but they didn’t bother to rectify it before serving it to us. So if you decide to dine here, please do yourself a favour by not ordering any cold dish. Secondly, the service was absolutely garbage. I ask the guy with a pair of glasses and terracotta hairstyle to refill our teapot with hot water but he was like, he had a terrible constipation kind of pokerface. To offer him some credit, he did refill the pot but left it on the counter. When questioned why not bringing the pot over to our table, his response was it is not his job so he couldn’t be bothered. I decided to leave 2 stars because the manager did offer his apology on behalf of the guy who supposedly had a difficult day. Too difficult to bring the tea pot over to our table which is 2 meters away???? lol

Only take away folks... Unclear from the description and reviews. We were very disappointed when we drove down there and were unable to try their food!

Kleiner Laden/Imbiss mit überschaubarer Karte. Die Speisen sind vorgekocht, hat der Qualität aber keinen Abbruch getan. Dafür hat man keine lange Wartezeit (ca 5 Minuten) was für eine Mittagspause perfekt ist. Die Damen waren unfassbar freundlich, werden definitiv wieder kommen. Man kann allerdings nur Bar bezahlen
