Jin in München

It closes as soon as they get quiet, sometimes at 9 pm., yet it says open until 11 pm.

This was our first time at Jin's. But we would like to come back. Courteous, nice and excellent food. The black sesame ice cream at the end is a poem.

Amazing experience, the food was really really good, the restaurant was so nice and the chef is very friendly. Couldn’t have had a better experience, can’t wait to go back and try the best dumplings I’ve ever had!

The reception itself was extremely friendly and not fake. The dumplings were perfect as a starter. The main course is lovingly prepared and deliciously seasoned. The subsequent dessert - sesame ice cream - was the crowning finale. All in all, it was a successful evening with a great price/performance ratio. Happy to come back!

A very clear recommendation for us! Our absolute favorite dish is the tuna tartare. We had a great evening here and we will definitely repeat it. Great wine, delicious aperitif, great food, great service. Everything just worked for us! Small addition: Be sure to reserve, otherwise it will be difficult :-)

This review is from an American who lived in San Francisco and the New York area. Just don’t even bother going here - you will be disappointed. Maybe it’s great for Munich - maybe they have such limited choices that this place stands out. This place is seriously overpriced, underwhelming food (repeat base sauce and vegetables, just switch out the protein), and the service was just awful. I can’t think of any place in NY, NJ, or CT that isn’t better than Jin, and at a fraction (try 30%) of what they charge. What a waste of an evening meal in Munich.

Prominent through the Kitchen Impossible episode. Starter was very good. Tatar. For the main course I wanted some rice that wasn't brought to me. Probably the philosophy there is that you don't get something individually. Service doesn't quite correspond to the price level. Great atmosphere inside. Outside I found it a bit sober for an otherwise well-known restaurant. Jin is casual. Would go again.

We, the three women from Sauerland, were really looking forward to the evening with Jin. The service was very friendly and attentive. Each of us chose something from the menu. We shared different dishes and were therefore able to taste a lot. The food was very tasty and of good quality. It was an experience, thank you very much and best regards to the entire team.

I have known the restaurant for 20 years. Anyone who expects culinary chi-chi may be in the wrong place, but anyone who can appreciate incredibly good product quality and the great art of every cuisine, sauces, is in the right place. In addition, from the first visit I didn't look at the menu or the wine list, but always left the selection to Jin. I was never disappointed and always look forward to relaxing and culinary enriching evenings. Keep it up !

Because of the hype, we tried the Jin. What can you say... top top top! Very tasty food and delicious sauces too. I've probably never tasted more tender pork belly. The sauce for the salmon carpaccio was also a poem. In our opinion, you don't necessarily need the menu but you can order your own dishes as you wish. The two of us had three starters and two main courses. The service is attentive and the store has a calm and sophisticated ambience. Clear recommendation, gladly again!

If you like high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors, JIN is the right place for you. Here they clearly stand out from the run-of-the-mill Asian and serve the highest product quality. The homemade dim sum or the fried rice are highly recommended. We have never been disappointed so far. If you can't decide on the menu, you should just choose the menu.

It couldn't be more authentic. Offal fish and homemade dim sum make lovers' hearts beat faster. Rice only as a standalone dish “Hooray” only fresh vegetables and ingredients, simply wonderful.

A Michelin recommended restaurant was very, very disappointing. We felt like we were in a substandard restaurant, the service was a disaster, the dishes were served unaesthetically and we paid over 400 euros for food that wasn't worth that amount. I can't recommend it!

While looking for a special restaurant, we came across JIN, which is listed in the Michelin Guide. Unfortunately our visit turned out to be very disappointing. The food was good, but only average. The service was disastrous and it gave the impression that not all guests were treated equally. What was particularly noticeable was that priority was given to regular guests, while new guests seemed to be neglected. We had ordered the 7-course menu, and we have to complain that the cutlery was only changed upon request, which is absolutely unacceptable. The ambience was simple and acceptable, apart from the dirty windows. Overall, JIN presented itself as a normal restaurant where you get averagely good food - nothing more, nothing less. Under these conditions, the restaurant is not recommended, especially due to the unreasonable price-performance ratio.

Today we went to Jin Restaurant for the first time for my birthday. My father and I can say with complete confidence that Jin is probably one of the best restaurants and the best Chinese restaurant in Munich! Every single course was impressive not only with the quality of the ingredients but also with its taste. We have been to China many times and have eaten at Chinese restaurants of different price ranges but Jin will definitely always be one of our favorites! Particular praise goes out to the two hosts. Incomprehensible! My absolute favorite restaurant. A great shop, fantastic food (I've never eaten so good!!) and great, attentive service + a fantastic boss. We have never experienced such a great culinary evening in such a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere. We'll be back, thanks Jin!

The highlight was the pork belly pralines, although very greasy and overly filling. The Dim Sum Garden tasted delicious, but rather unspectacular. The main courses tended to be over-spiced and unfortunately tasted at a mundane Chinese restaurant level. We were really looking forward to the evening and had corresponding expectations. The disappointment was even greater. A pity. The price level does not match the performance. Unfortunately, this also affected the service. Even the half-full plates weren't commented on...

A few highlights, like the corn-fed chicken and liver, but overall not worth the money. The dessert with canned lychee is a disgrace. Our glasses usually remained empty unless we actively reordered. I would have liked to have loved it. The price of the wines refers to individual glasses of open wines.

We had dinner at Jin today for my mother's birthday. The food was good, but under the guise of being the best Chinese restaurant in Munich, I felt that certain something was missing. I traveled to China for work for many years and experienced many, many great taste explosions that I always remember fondly. The food today didn't even come close. The food was more of an upscale Asian interpretation but nothing special. At least not for me. A pity. We had, the tuna carpaccio, the wonton soup, the beef fillet, Iberico pork, shrimp dim sun, vegetarian spring rolls.

We were here with 6 people and we can only express our greatest respect for the restaurant, the food, the wine and the staff. So calm, but extremely attentive and super friendly, phenomenal expertise. The cuisine….., sensational, we have traveled a lot around the world, but nothing compares to this Asian cuisine. So incredibly well cooked in such a reduced manner that you can only say delicious. Everything is just right here, it is a bit expensive, but completely justified, the price, performance and taste cannot be beaten, many thanks to Jin and his team. We ate the pork belly praline, dim sums, tuna tartare, octopus and fish, tofu and fried rice, all heavenly a treat!!!!! They would get even more stars if they existed.

Michelin and Gault Millau are right. You have to go there. We have rarely dined in a restaurant so finely and tastefully cooked. (Not just eaten) It's also cool that you can go into the kitchen and watch the chefs cooking. It's definitely not the last time we've been there!!!

I only sent my request by email on the evening of December 18th for Tuesday evening, December 19th. Since I hadn't noticed the cancellation at midnight, I called from the car on Tuesday afternoon and reached Jin personally. He was a little surprised that I called despite his rejection, but he then gave me a place at the "counter". So much for the “foreword”, then there was only enjoyment in the evening😋🥰. I was at the restaurant shortly after 6 p.m. Jin and his team were still setting up, but everyone was super friendly and I was shown my place at the counter straight away. I had only seen Jin once on TV as a judge on "The Taste" when his cuisine was praised by Tim Raue, I have to say, quite rightly👍. Starter; Tuna carpaccio, a poem then as an intermediate course the spring rolls with seafood, super tasty. Then came the show in bags, wild-caught shrimp with Thai asparagus and other incredibly delicious “messes”. It was a shame that at some point I was finished with this taste explosion. So I asked Jin what else I can take after this. Since I prefer fish rather than meat, I chose the monkfish and it was a brilliant ending. My only regret is that I don't live in Munich and it will only be a few months before I can experience such a pleasure again. Another word about Jin and his team. Jin was super friendly, always asked how it tasted and, despite the full house, not hectic and totally calm. His wife and both waitresses were super nice and attentive, which is not so common these days.

Bei Jin habe ich zum ersten Mal Entenmägen gegessen - einfach nur lecker und sehr zu empfehlen!! Wir waren zu viert dort und haben uns für das Überraschungsmenü mit mehreren Gängen zum Teilen entschieden. Die Qualität ist top, die Preise dabei angemessen. Die Einrichtung ist fernöstlich, könnte jedoch etwas “gemütlicher” gestaltet werden. Die Weinempfehlungen kamen vom Chef persönlich & waren auf unsere Vorlieben abgestimmt.

Wir waren da zum ersten Mal. Essen ist Durchschnitt nicht schlecht aber wirklich keine Sterne wert. Wartezeit auf die einzelnen Gänge ist bedenklich. Unterm Strich etwas zu teuer für das was bekommt.

Super leckeres Essen bei einer angenehm entspannten und sehr freundlichen Atmosphäre. Das Dessert (Variation vom grünem Tee) hat mich besonders positiv überrascht. Die Dim Sum waren Spitzenklasse! Der Service war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen.

Chinese Fine Dining in Münchens ungewohnt unkomplizierter unkomplizierter Atmosphäre. Jin hat uns kurzerhand noch ein Gericht umgetauscht und ist unglaublich feinfühlig. Tolle Weine ☺️

The restaurant is high-end Chinese food, served in the style of Western food, exquisite and compact.

Immer schön zu sehen, wenn die ganzen @aufdiefausts und Köche der Stadt wohin gehen und ihre Instagram Posts vor Lob nur so strotzen, aber wenn man als „normaler“ Gast (nach Jahren Mal wieder) kommt, wartet man erstmal 25 min, bis man bestellen darf. Die dann folgenden „Vorspeisen“ waren durchaus gut (Jiaozi etc.), der Bluefin Tuna sehr gut und die Kutteln geschmacklich sicher das Highlight des Abends (s Bild). Leider warteten wir dann ganze 45 min, bis die „Hauptspeisen“ kamen („wir haben unser bestes gegeben“): der Oktopus ein wenig zäh, das Gung Bao Ji Din in Ordnung und der Mapo Dofu war regelrecht traurig. Abgesehen davon, dass ich nicht verstehe, warum man gerade für dieses Flagship-Gericht der Sechuan-Küche Rinderfilet verwendet, hat zumindest unsere Portion weder ein Gramm Sechuan Pfeffer gesehen, noch sonst irgendeine Würze. Der Wein war, typisch für Deutschland, gut aber overpriced. Desserts ok, aber für Desserts geht man auch nicht zum Chinesen. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen: ein weiterer Beweis für die desolate kulinarische Landschaft in München, oder, wie man in China sagt: 马马虎虎.

Leider nicht mehr der Standard, den es vor Jahren mal hatte. Das Essen hat deutlich an Geschmack verloren. Wie waren insgesamt mehr als 10x dort essen, früher war es für uns das beste Japanische Restaurant, welches wir weltweit kannten. Dies hat sich stark geändert da sie in der Zeit stehengeblieben sind.

Wir waren sehr gespannt, nachdem wir Herrn Jin bei Kitchen Impossible gesehen hatten. Unweit vom Isartor liegt dieses Restaurant mit einem kleinen Außenbereich. Reservieren sollte man weit im Voraus, telefonisch habe ich leider nie jemanden erreicht. Das Essen war gut, um ehrlich zu sein war es aber nicht das absolute Highlight. Einen Punktabzug gibt es für die Weinkarte. Die ist zwar enorm, aber sehr Riesling lastig. Gut, dass macht oft Sinn bei asiatischen Essen, dennoch gibt es auch da genügend andere Alternativen. Die Flaschenpreise der Weinkarte, damit bin ich gar nicht einverstanden. Das muß nicht sein. ( EK's sind mir bekannt.) Vielleicht sollte man hier die Bezugsquellen überdenken, dann trinken wir auch gerne eine 2.Flasche 😉. Unser Service war überaus freundlich. Parkhaus 1 min entfernt.

It’s a fine restaurant, but nowadays there are better Chinese restaurants in town, with better food and for better value

München halt... Unsere Erwartungen waren hoch, aber am Ende war der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Es war gut und handwerklich sauber gearbeitet, aber eben nichts Besonderes. Die unbekannten Geschmackswelten habe ich bei meinen 5 Gängen jedenfalls vergeblich gesucht. Hervorzuheben sind das Thunfisch Tartar und die gute Weinkarte. Der Service war ok, aber die Erklärung der Menüzusammensetzung eher dürftig.

Einfach mein Lieblingschinese! Nirgends gibt es authentischere chinesische Küche und schönere Kreationen. Immer wieder ein Besuch Wert !

Am 06.06.23 besuchte ich das Restaurant „Jin“ in München. Das Ambiente in dem Restaurant ist bestens dafür geeignet um dort ein paar schöne Stunden zu verbringen. Durch das sehr freundliche Servicepersonal fühlt man sich dort gleich richtig wohl. Auch Jin selbst war zu sehen und begrüßte mich. Auf der Speisenkarte sollte für jeden etwas dabei sein, alternativ zur Karte gibt es auch Menüs in mehreren Gängen. Als Vorspeise hatte ich die „geschmorte Praline vom Schwein“. Butterweich gegart zerfiel das Bauchfleisch fast von alleine und dann waren sie da – die Aromen! Jin vermag es wirklich die Aromen von Lebensmitteln meisterlich zu aktivieren und dann auch kreativ miteinander zu kombinieren! Durch seine ganz spezielle Art der Zubereitung wird auch ein vermeidlich einfaches Lebensmittel zum kulinarischen Erlebnis. mitunter die eine oder andere Prise Glutamat um Geschmack zu erzeugen. Aber nicht bei Jin. Dort hat jede einzelne Zutat ihre Berechtigung und ihren Sinn: nämlich Aromen abzugeben. Im Ganzen entsteht daraus dann ein Gericht, welches gustatorisch ganz weit vorne liegt. Weit überm Durchschnitt. Echte Spitzenklasse! plosion! Alle drei Gänge machten mich mit jedem Bissen glücklicher! Ich verlies das Restaurant mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Vielen herzlichen Dank für den schönen Abend. Ein Besuch bei Jin in München lohnt sich. Jin und sein Team leisten dort hervorragende Arbeit. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist übrigens völlig in Ordnung. Ich freu mich schon jetzt auf meinen nächsten Besuch in Jins-Restaurant.

Ich war jetzt schon das dritte mal dort. Immer wieder gut. Sehr autenthisch. Nicht vergleichbar mit einem "Standard" Chinesischem Restaurant. Vor allem merkt man das Jin mit sehr hochwertigen Produkten kocht.

Essen war sehr lecker! Qualität der Produkte überragend! Das einzige was ich ein bisschen schade fand war die Anrichteweise des Menüs. Kostenpunkt ist 120 Euro für das große Menü hätte mir bei so einem Preis ein bisschen mehr fürs Auge gewünscht. Ansonsten top kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
