Dami Asian Kitchen and Bar in München

🇬🇧 Popped in for for a bite to eat and had a warm greeting. The food was amazing and the staff very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend a visit as there is a good choice on the menu and the service is quick.

Extremely unfriendly service, even though I believe it's the owner. I asked if there was a place to leave a stroller, and instead of a normal answer, I was rudely told off, as if I couldn't see there was no space. Very disappointing.

Very disappointing experience. The food was bad and poorly prepared, with no flavor at all. The service was even worse — the staff was unfriendly, and the waitress was especially rude and aggressive. We felt uncomfortable the entire time. Definitely not a place I would recommend or visit again.

Staff in this restaurant looked like they were brought by force to work in there. No smile, no hello from the front/welcome man. Got several "thank you"s from the serving lady later, which was the visit's best. Soup (#21) had some weird smell, taste okish, too watery and with only 2 shrimps. Sweet 'n' sour chicken (#81) was not the freshest. The place is quite noisy. Not only when there are a lot of people, but also because of food preparation and dish washing in the kitchen itself as it is right behind the bar. So not a quite place. Not the cosiest either. 3 stars is the best I can give.

Unfortunately, we weren't very satisfied with our visit. The waiters didn't even acknowledge or greet us upon arrival. After what felt like an eternity, a waitress finally appeared, wiped down the table, and placed the QR code menu on it. We both ordered two Spritz variations (which gave us a terrible headache the next day). The food was fresh and tasty, but the presentation was very basic, and they were stingy with the higher-quality ingredients (meat). The waiter simply placed it in front of us without a word. There are definitely better Asian restaurants in the area.

Exceeded my expectations! The food is marvelous. The beef noodles soup sent me in a different dimension! Every other dish was flawless. Service was fast and proces fair!

Absolutely loved this place! The Peking duck was outstanding, crispy skin and rich flavor, and the homemade dumplings were some of the best I’ve had. Everything tasted fresh and authentic.

Tried Shrimp Fried Rice during lunch hour in a workday. Taste was very ordinary, least to say. The lady waiting at the table was very impolite and impatient; two of us eventually got wrong dish served. It would still be understandable for a rush hour and compensated - if food had tasted near to average.

Easily one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. I genuinely do not understand how this place has such high reviews. The food was terrible, the service was uninterested and the experience felt like a complete waste of money. The service was poor from the start. The waitress clearly did not care about being friendly or helpful, and could not answer simple questions about the menu. There was no warmth or effort at all, which immediately left a bad impression. The food somehow managed to be even worse. I ordered the beef rice noodle soup, expecting something remotely Asian, but what arrived tasted like beef stew with gravy poured over pasta. It was extremely salty, unpleasant and absolutely nothing like what was advertised. I could not finish it. For the quality served, the prices are shockingly high. There is nothing here that justifies the cost, and there are many far better places nearby for both proper Asian food and basic service. I would not return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The service was extremely disappointing. When we arrived at the restaurant, a crop-haired waitress approached our table to take our order without offering any greeting. She returned twice and seemed to be in a hurry, giving us no time to properly look through the menu. Due to this rush, I accidentally stated the wrong dish number. Her reaction was unacceptable—she displayed a facial expression no customer should have to experience, despite the fact that I remained polite throughout the interaction. Her overall manner made us feel as though we were asking for free food. I have been living in Munich for three years, and I have never had such an experience here. It was truly disappointing. Otherwise, the food itself was delicious.

I’m not sure why this restaurant has such a high rating. it doesn’t deserve the score. The service was extremely disappointing. I arrived first, yet the waitress chose to serve another customer before me. I wasn’t sure whether I should order through a QR code or in the traditional way, so I asked another staff member for help. She then brought over the same receptionist, who rushed through the ordering process as if she was catching a train. I ordered spring rolls and fried noodles. The food also let me down. The spring rolls were acceptable—probably premade—but the fried noodles were far too salty for my taste, though perhaps that suits local preferences. When it came time to pay, the owner handled the bill herself. After I paid, she said “thank you” in such uncomfortable tone that I honestly would have preferred she hadn’t said anything at all. If I could choose again, I would rather have never visited this restaurant. Otherwise, it's no free water for here.

This restaurant is a complete rip-off. The "Sichuan Beef in Chili Soup" for €18.80 contains fewer than eight slices of beef, and the tofu dish consists of only four or five pieces of tofu; the rest is just vegetables. I even suspect they served the wrong dish. This is outrageous.

The food was great, and the price was okay. But the service was absolutely awful. All the staff looked annoyed, and when I asked if there was a physical menu, the server looked at me like I was the dumbest person in the world. The food could be delicious, but the atmosphere was just awful.

We have been coming here to eat pretty regularly with friends and family. The menu offers a variety of options with worthy prices. Definitely would recommend!

Big menu, tasty food, wide selection of "protein" in every wok dish: chicken, beef, duck, prawns, tofu. Selection of deserts is very small, but we didn't come for them. Service a bit slow, and they didn't bring us the sauces. But overall good.

The edamame were disgusting...not a single gram of salt on them and microwaved! The staff were unfriendly and the sauces were dripping with seed oil...

The food here was decent but definitely on the milder side, more of a Western take on Chinese dishes. The flavors weren’t as bold or authentic as I expected. Prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get, and portions are on a smaller side. Overall, not bad if you’re looking for an easy introduction to Chinese food, but not the spot for strong traditional flavors.

Good location but taste of food is so so, not that impressive. Service of waitress is so rude, no sorry, no thankyou, poor English, ill mannered. I was really surprised that such a service exists in a developed country. No wonder that they were rated poorly by other's comments and reviews

We had the fried rice and noodle soup at Dami Asian Kitchen Bar. The food was okay, but the service was disappointing. The staff didn’t seem to have service mind, and their attitude wasn’t friendly. It’s unfortunate because the food is actually good, but the lack of warmth and attention from the staff really affects the overall experience.

My three friends and I visited Dami after a rainy day at Oktoberfest. We say we only want to order drinks and we get the evil eye from the waiter. A few minutes later the next person comes and takes out an alarm clock and sets a 30-minute timer. After the timer goes off we have to leave the bar. They go back to our table and try to sell us spring rolls but we say no. After about 30 minutes of waiting we notice that they are holding our drinks hostage in the hope that we will order food. When we then get the drinks the waiter laughs at us.

I'd better not even start on the quality of the food. I'm just talking to a colleague about the quality, but after the greeting, I should have known what I was getting myself into. No thanks.

There were four of us, we ordered Asian pasta with chicken and rice, everything was delicious

The food is reasonably priced for the location. We had Peking duck and beef fried noodles. The quality is more like a snack bar. The portions were good and sufficient. The taste was average. Peking duck: the sauce wasn't thick but watery, the wraps were sticky and cracked. The duck tasted like lukewarm, crispy, regular duck, not Peking style. The beef fried noodles had a low meat content, the noodles were overcooked, but the vegetables were okay. The service wasn't attentive enough. Cutlery was missing, and no one else asked for anything.

The best dumplings in town!! Really good price and the taste is amazing.

Disastrous service! Our NeoTaste voucher was simply not accepted, for no comprehensible reason. No concession, no solution—just disappointing. That's how you lose customers! Finally, we were yelled at and escorted out of the store!

4 out of 5 is all I can do. The place itself is ok but the waiters ignore you speak Deutsch, during eating coming to take flowers from the table regardless of the fact that the restaurant is still open for 40minutes more. Completely rude. We were completely ignored waiting on the door to get a table. I had to ask to the "host" who said to sit whatever you want. Two minutes later, the hostile red- hair "host" ORDER us to change to other place for putting the people she wanted. Not even asking, not even trying at least to put that group on the other half-Restaurant empty space. Now I understand the sad and uncomfortable faces of the few people eating there.

Worst service evwr, when you enter to the restaurant they told us sit wherever you want, then without even requesting red head female tried to order us like military officer to move to other table and place their other customers very rude way. Not recommended at all.

One of the best Chinese restaurants. Delicious food.

The small, inviting restaurant has a clear menu that's a treasure trove of culinary delights. The various dumplings were incredible, the vegetable dishes incredibly delicious, cooked to perfection, and the chicken (skewers) melted in your mouth. The main course is listed as noodle soup on the menu, but that doesn't do the taste experience justice – delicious! The meal is rounded off by the homemade tea drinks. I particularly like the lemon tea... Add to that the service is very attentive, the portions are generous, and the price is absolutely fair. The only drawback is that you have to arrive early to get a seat right away ;-)

We really liked the food. All the dishes were made from fresh products. The duck was exactly what we expected. True, we had to wait a little longer for the order. Perhaps because of the use of fresh products. But in general, for up to 50 euros for two, you can eat very tasty.

We've been coming here for years and look forward to the delicious food every time. The homemade iced tea and dumplings are highly recommended! Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff. Every time we go to Munich, Dami is an absolute highlight. Keep it up!

The food and flavors were amazing. I really enjoyed it. I'd love to go back if I have the chance. It was a little hot because it was crowded and there was limited outdoor seating, but everything I ate was worth it. I definitely recommend it. I highly recommend the duck with fried rice.

We visited this place today with friends, looking forward to a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the service we received was extremely disappointing. The staff member who attended to us showed no signs of basic courtesy or professionalism. She did not greet us with a simple “hello” or any form of welcome. Instead of engaging with us, she simply handed us a piece of paper and expected us to write down our order on our own—without explanation or assistance. Throughout the interaction, her demeanor was cold and unfriendly. There was a complete lack of warmth or effort to make us feel valued as customers. Her attitude felt indifferent at best, and downright rude at worst. It’s rare to encounter such an unwelcoming approach in a customer-facing role. It left a negative impression on all of us. Customer service is a key part of any business, and sadly, that was clearly lacking during our visit today.

I ordered fried rice with duck but the duck was still raw so I didn't like it. I wouldn't come there again because there wasn't much promise of food!

Update: Returned for dinner 7 months later. It's still great! Original: We had a really nice late lunch here, with Wonton Soup, Spring Rolls, Chinese Dumplings, and Chicken Chop Suey. Everything was delicious!

We had to wait an hour for two orders until we couldn't take it anymore and left. If you want something quickly, you can go somewhere else.

Stood waiting for 15 minutes with my young granddaughter. Was told and shown that we would sit at a table soon to be vacated by a group of 3. We went to sit down, removed our coats, got comfortable and started to read the digital menu. Then very abruptly the same waitress told us we couldn’t sit there but now would have to sit at a tiny 2-seat table, which was now being vacated. So, not to disturb my granddaughter at Christmas, I didn’t make a fuss. After about 15 minutes the table we had been told to move from was still empty, and then soon after the same redhead waitress showed a young couple to the same table. So, we were abruptly removed from this table, apparently as more than 2 could sit at it, and then they let another 2 people sit at it. We were clearly discriminated against. Moving on we ordered some food which as other seasoned Local Guides have stated was tasteless, a peanut sauce that didn’t taste of peanuts and chicken that was completely bland. Would not recommend to eat here. More of a take-away where the staff are unprofessional and rude. “Good food served with love and gentleness lifts the spirit. Great food and extremely accommodating staff. We were there with our toddler in a pram (during off-peak hours), and they made sure we were comfortable throughout.

The food tastes fresh and is absolutely okay in terms of price-performance ratio! What didn't work at all was the service. I didn't feel comfortable at all as a guest. Shameful answers, disinterested looks and the “condescending” attitude unfortunately made the whole thing come off really badly. We felt “unwanted” the whole evening and so there won’t be a second time.

TOURISTS BEWARE: Not sure if it was because we don’t speak German or because we are gay but the server first asked us to move tables and then ignored us for upwards of 20 minutes before we left. Worth noting she took the orders of several people that came after us. Plenty of other good options in the area.

The food is always good here, always hot and freshly cooked food. The service is super! Fast and friendly staff. The ambiance is loud maybe because of the kitchen. But in total I like the food here.

When I went to the palace to play, I walked by and felt it was very delicious. I came back to eat at night. There was a Chinese male clerk who sounded like a dead man. He felt like I owed him millions. He ignored me when I asked questions. I had to ask loudly several times before I got a response. His attitude was terrible, and it was really not cost-effective. Don't come here to eat! !

Probably one of the best curry chicken I’ve ever had in a random street restaurant. Big amount of food, and so reasonable price. It was 13.80€ with rice included (made it 15€ with voluntary tip). Staff is friendly and speak a little bit of English. Glad I found this restaurant while wandering around in Munich. Will definitely come back!

Had Wonton soup for lunch. Taste of shanghai ! Super ! Hausgemachte ! 荠菜馄饨 - back today and had egg dumplings and fish ball soup, so good ! Taste of East China ! Went back today, duck wrap was excellent. Kungpao chicken was so so

We ordered pork wonton soup, xiao long bao, and the duck. My husband loved the duck once he got it. We waited a long time for our dishes. The xiao long bao was thick and didn’t have any juice in it. I never got my soup so about an hour in, I asked about it and she told me I didn’t order it. I said yes I did so she went to the kitchen and 20 minutes later, brought out the chicken wonton soup and still charged us for it. Wasn’t happy with the service or food.

The staffs are super impolite and not professional. Me and my friends were not sure about if they accept card payment or not, so we asked them in a polite way. But they keep using an annoyed attitude to answer us. Besides, they didn’t even answer our question in a straight forward way. Super rude☺️

The atmosphere is good, more like a bar, and the food is average. The Xiao Long Bao skin is a bit thick and less juicy. In addition, the steamed dumpling skins are very thick. The Thai Chicken Pad Thai tastes okay, but the rice noodles are a bit hard. The fried cauliflower with orchids and stir-fried with black bean sauce was too salty, but the service was still good. I hope the food will improve.

My girlfriend and I just wanted to have some tea; outside it said “restaurant, bar and café”. We still ordered a small soup with it. After a short while the owner came and said that we should please leave the restaurant after 30 minutes because we hadn't ordered “anything” to eat. After just 10 minutes (!) the lady came again and asked directly, without saying anything else, whether we would like to pay in cash or by card. The service was really bad - we were literally thrown out because we supposedly didn't order "anything" to eat. If the place had been full or if they had explained it to us in a friendly manner, it wouldn't have been a problem. But asking customers to leave in the middle of a conversation is really a NO-GO!

Great place for late night Asian dining and drinks. Delicious! Very polite service.
