I recently visited Le Voyage in Munich – an overall very nice lunch, even if the culinary concept wasn't quite my personal taste – I'm apparently not yet 100% used to "real China." The restaurant offers very authentic Chinese cuisine, with dishes you might not necessarily expect from your typical "standard Chinese" restaurant. If you're looking for new taste experiences and like to venture beyond sweet and sour and fried noodles, this is definitely the place for you! The dishes are creative, bold, and prepared with love – everyone in our group loved the food. The venue is spacious, modern, and stylishly decorated, and the service was consistently friendly, warm, and attentive. While we did have to wait quite a while for our food, which was a bit of a disappointment, the team was very charming, served small gifts, and apologized with a genuine smile – this creates a sense of sympathy and shows that they really care about their guests. In conclusion: If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine with a special twist, this is the place for you. For me personally, it wasn't a 100% hit this time, but I can well understand why many people are excited.

What a fantastic restaurant! We stumbled upon this gem by chance through the book "Taste Twelve" and were absolutely thrilled! The food was delicious, and the service was a 12 out of 10! Highly recommended!

Concept of dining miles away from tourist hype is actually my favorite — and Le Voyage placed in the quiet labyrinth building of Fallmerayerstraße fulfills it right. Even more so, check for a couple can be 50 EUR only, especially if one is only having dim sums. Overall blend of regional modernized cuisine in stylish interiors with some traditional twists. Service is attentive and quick. Main bonus point — they do have Peking duck in the menu, and they also have an outdoor terrace to enjoy it “in der frischen Luft”.

If you want to eat roast duck, come here! In fact, what overseas Chinese eat is the taste of memory and nostalgia! 💐The Shandong lady inside was very enthusiastic and nice! She also gave me free hot water. It warmed my heart! You can try it. I also ate fish!

The dining space is very dark, and it is a bit tiring to use your eyes for a long time. The restaurant does not have a strong smell of oil smoke, and the dining experience is good. Recommended: The noodles of the clay pot chicken are very chewy, and at the same time, they have the freshness of chicken, and they will not become mushy even after long cooking. The red oil stir-fry is not spicy, and the filling is not memorable. The buns are ordinary. The service is good and fast.

My dear friend from another city was visiting after a long time and I really wanted to take her to somewhere special. This place didn’t disappoint. The food was really excellent, best Chinese food I ever tried, from starters to the main, everything was delicious. The service was extremely attentive and warm and as someone who is very sensitive to noise I also appreciated the ambience. No loud music, calm, we talk and hear each other and the interior design was beautiful too. We were super hungry when we arrived and food came fast and was beautifully presented. I can feel that someone is really putting their heart at making this place work. Ao thank you for your hospitality!

An oasis in Schwabing where you can enjoy not only homemade dim sum but also authentic Peking Duck. The friendly ladies who work here can explain the menu perfectly. Here you can see the Chinese cake expertise. The terrace is super nice in summer – shady and quiet, even though you're only two minutes from Kurfürstenplatz.

Please do the reservation if you are planning to go on a Saturday. Otherwise the waiting is long. We were three people did not book. The drinks felt very strong in their taste. The food, over all taste is good but bit too oily for my taste. But if your taste buds are wanting some flavour and taste. Go for it. Also, if you are a vegetarian, there are very few options, the cost is on the pricier side when compared to the non veg food.

The best and the most authentic taste of the northern China! The smile of my Beijing travel partner says it all! Will be visiting Le Voyage in all my future trips to the Munich area.

I first tried le voyage when I was studying in Munich a few years ago, right after it opened. It was quality, properly seasoned and cooked food with a wide range of cuisines from various parts of China (especially the often spicy Sichuan cuisine which many other restaurants get away with covering bad ingredients with chili and MSG, but not here) and beyond (their General Zo’s Chicken, a Taiwanese dish that went viral in USA, was the best I’ve had anywhere). It was one of my go-to places in Munich. Bonus point for the owner who is a specialist in wine as well. After the past years of moving places and living through Covid, I finally managed to revisit here last week on a trip. I was surprised that the owner was still working with all the staff herself, and she recognised me immediately having not seen each other for 5 years. We were not friends and I didn’t come each every month. That’s the level of attention and passion she has with her business. And the food was ever better than before. The flavours were well balanced, right texture, veg stir-fried with high heat but no excessive oil. Nothing was too salty (unlike many other Chinese restaurants). I’m happy that they managed to not only live through the tough years but also flourished. In case you’re not familiar with the East Asian restaurants in Munich (and Germany in general), many of them are chained, and they do a lot of promo to make themselves popular. Le voyage is completely independent. Their chef has been working here for 5 years. Only thing they care is food, drink and their customers.

The waiters have two sisters who have very good attitudes, which is worthy of praise. After all the praise, let’s talk about the negative comments: 1. The serving speed is extremely slow. For 30.8 euros, I felt like I had eaten 2 pieces of white flour steamed buns. The Xuzhou-style eggplant is not crispy at all. Is the doubanjiang about to expire or something? I threw in all the leftovers at once? Did the chef finish the steps without tasting the dishes? ? ? 3. Food safety! ! ! I didn’t want to post it, but food safety caused me to vomit! ! ! I only felt generally uncomfortable after eating, and the discomfort subsided after walking for a while. but! ! ! My partner vomited three times after eating for nearly half an hour. It’s horrible. No matter how unhygienic she is, she will vomit after going home after eating. I didn’t expect that this time she would vomit after eating and go out. It’s a disaster. I can only say that the food at this restaurant is a disaster.

Very cozy and attractive Chinese restaurant with authentic cuisine and fresh preparation. The staff was very attentive and looked after the guests without being intrusive. In the warmer seasons you can also enjoy the food outside. I had the world's best scallops - also very attractively prepared - and my companion had the best duck! The price/performance ratio is very good; there is even a separate dim sum menu. I can only recommend it!!

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a high-rise building - the ambience is simple but OK. The service was friendly, attentive and tried hard, which made the stay pleasant. The food was consistently very authentic and tasted really convincing. Anyone looking for Chinese cuisine outside the mainstream is in good hands here. A clear minus point was the cocktail - unfortunately the taste was completely wrong and not drinkable. The four of us paid €160, which was okay for the quality of the food. Overall a solid experience with good food, friendly service and minor weaknesses in the drinks department.

I ate ground pot chicken and braised pork with braised eggs with my German friends who came from afar. The portion of ground pot chicken is huge, and the spicy taste is actually not spicy at all for Chinese people, which is quite ok. However, my German friend was tripped over by peppercorns frequently, which was a bit funny. The braised pork also had a nice texture, and the eggs would have been better if they had been braised more deeply. The waiter aunt is very interesting, cheerful, enthusiastic, so cute and energetic.

The benchmark for Chinese food in Munich! The most delicious fish I have eaten since coming to Germany was actually in Munich, and I highly recommend the steamed sea bass. The ground pot chicken is also very special, and the waiting time was not as long as expected. It was full when we went there, the food was still served very quickly, and the service attitude was also very good and very friendly.

Very tasty authentic Chinese food. Perfect if you like to try out different foods and eat out with several people. Service was very nice, but no one asked if we would like to drink anything else or if we would like to order anything else. Food and drinks were brought, that was it. But that is also the only point of criticism. Ambience pleasant.

A really great restaurant with a nice ambience, excellent food, and incredibly friendly staff! We had a table for 8 people and everything went perfectly, which wasn't a given as the restaurant was already pretty full. We almost all had 2 courses and were totally satisfied with all of the dishes. At the end there was even dessert and a schnapps on the house. We'll definitely come back soon!

The New Year's Eve dinner I had at his house was said to be innovative and only provided a New Year's Eve dinner menu, which cost 220 euros for 5 people and 11 dishes. But it is clear that innovation failed miserably! The fried kidneys taste too strong. The fruit platter, which costs more than 10 euros each, only has a small plate of watermelon and banana, and there is not as much variety as the rewe plastic box. The sweet and sour fish is beautiful, but the fish tastes thick and the sauce is too sweet. The dumplings are duck soup dumplings ( Another way to eat it that I have never seen before), there are only a few dumplings, all of which are duck meat. The rest of the dishes were not particularly impressive. After all, it’s okay to have a higher price for a dinner party with friends during the Chinese New Year, but when it’s not used to rip off customers, you can’t buy the corresponding dishes at this price. Can you imagine that the per capita 40 euros are not enough to eat?? The price/performance ratio is almost . zero. The picture shows a "fruit platter" worth more than 10 euros

Very tasty Chinese food and top service

Le Voyage is a fantastic Chinese restaurant! The yuxiangrousi was incredibly flavorful, and the pan-fried lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. We were particularly impressed by Wen's warm and friendly service, which made our dining experience even better. Totally recommended for authentic Chinese cuisine and great hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

We have visited Le Voyage several times. In my opinion it is one of the best and coziest restaurants with Chinese cuisine in Munich. The staff is incredibly friendly and you don't have the feeling of being chased away from the place. The restaurant is definitely underrated and an absolute insider tip. We'd love to come back.

I've had it several times before and thought it was delicious, so I decided to book here again for New Year's Eve dinner. His food should be considered authentic in Mucun, not an improved version of Western-style Chinese food. The ground pot chicken and boiled seabass are as delicious as ever, the flavored lamb leg and the onions in it are super delicious, and Jiaduobao’s cups are so cute. I really like their pots and pans. The proprietress and the waitress were both very kind. They temporarily accommodated 3 more people in addition to the number of people scheduled. Highly recommended!

First class authentic food in a warm atmosphere. If I want to show my friends the diversity of tastes, textures and preparation methods of Chinese cuisine or if I just miss it myself, I'm happy to come back to Le Voyage. There is a diverse menu with klasoskers such as Mapo Tofu, cucumber salad with Mu-Err Pilten or Baozi. But also unusual fish and meat fried dishes. Plus a huge selection of cocktails, wines and other drinks in a pleasant and almost exquisite atmosphere that you wouldn't find at a classic Chinese restaurant - which doesn't mean it doesn't have its own charm, but I would at Le Voyage definitely go on a romantic date. The landlady and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, both with the selection of food and drinks, as well as with the discreet and timely delivery of refills.

I've eaten at Le Voyage with friends many times and I'm always impressed! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, the furnishings are stylish, and you immediately feel at home. The food is authentically Chinese, with a wide range of specialty dishes such as Di Guo Ji (pot chicken), Shanghai-style smoked fish, and garlic scallops - all absolutely delicious! I celebrated my birthday there just two days ago and the team was incredibly attentive and friendly. You made my day special. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine. I'll definitely come back again and again! 😊
