Delicious, fresh, clean, respectful, old school

Base Burger impresses with a great selection of special burgers that are not only delicious but also absolutely fair in terms of price. We paid around €45-50 for two people including drinks, which is perfectly fine for the quality and portion size. The menu offers a good mix of classic and creative burger variations, so there is something for every taste. The ingredients were fresh, the meat was juicy, and the side dishes rounded off the meal perfectly. The only small negative point: Parking can be a bit difficult if you don't know your way around, as the restaurant is located right in the pedestrian zone. If you inform yourself beforehand or come straight away by public transport, it will be easier. All in all, a great shop for all burger lovers – we’ll definitely be back!

The burgers are really tasty and reasonably priced. However, I personally think that charging 5.90 for an extra patty is steep... So a burger with an extra patty, fries and drinks costs €30. Unfortunately we waited 20 minutes until we were served. I would recommend the shop, but like almost everywhere in the catering industry, the prices have now risen significantly.

Very nice staff and delicious food

Ordered via Lieferando. Pros: Driver was nice. Negative: Old salad, patties burnt, taste underground, curlies were cold and soft. The coke was good, 42 euros for 2 cokes.

Als die Nerds in Wesel aufgemacht haben, war alles gut. Allerdings haben die stark nachgelassen. Der Mexican Burger würde den Elchtest nicht bestehen und leider gibt’s wohl keinen andern mit Chili-Cheese. Ich brauch auch keinen Burger bei dem ich eine Maulsperre bekomme. Bietet doch mal einen Burger an, den man selber zusammenstellen kann.

We ordered 2 coffees. Nothing more. It took about 15 minutes for service to arrive. Another 20 minutes until the coffee arrived. It was moderately busy, so not particularly crowded. It's a shame, the service leaves a lot to be desired. There are no tips either.

Ordered on a Thursday evening and the food was delivered after a full 2 ​​hours and 14 minutes. In the meantime, I built a small kitchen in my office building site and could have cooked myself. Not only was the burger incorrectly topped (it can happen, it's really not a bad thing), but nothing was warm anymore. The fries and sweet potato fries were cold and very soggy, therefore inedible. Next time I would rather not eat at all instead of ordering from Hungry Poet. Paid around €32 only to unfortunately end up throwing the food away. It's a shame for the earth's resources, which are being wastefully wasted by such unprofessionalism.

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical because I don't usually eat burgers in places like this, but this one was simply the best! And the staff is super nice too.

Burger buns were toasted but cold, Burger quality was good and taste was okay but not really special. The fries were really good. The space was cold (door kept open) and tables were dirty (Saturday afternoon) which was surprising to us, as it did not feel very welcoming.

The food was delicious and the team was very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!
