I've eaten here many times and I can truly recommend it to everyone. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is very relaxed and unique, and the food is, of course, extremely delicious. I've tried almost every burger and I've enjoyed them all. Naturally, I have favorites, but they're all at least very good. The fries are also very tasty, and I can highly recommend the sodas as well. I've always been satisfied every time I've eaten here.

Two hours wait for food. 45 minutes for drinks. Tasted good. But value for money? No thanks.

We waited two hours for our food. I understand that it's busy, but when people who arrived after me get their food and pay while I'm still waiting, I get a little annoyed. The staff can't be blamed for that, but the kitchen should at least follow the order of service. We also had to share a table with another couple because of double bookings (they're determined to squeeze every last penny out of us before closing time).

We went to Base Burger on a Saturday evening at 8:00 PM. We knew it would be busy, but we didn't receive our food until 9:45 PM. A wait of 1 hour and 45 minutes is simply too long in our opinion. While the service was friendly, it didn't seem particularly attentive. We especially would have appreciated being informed about such a long wait beforehand. That's part of good service, in my opinion. On the positive side, we were offered a complimentary drink after a table that arrived about half an hour after us received their food before we did. That was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, the biggest problem was the quality of the food: the burger patties were badly burnt, and the fries—which cost an additional €8—were cold. At an average price of around €15 per burger, I expect significantly better quality. Overall, we unfortunately felt like we were being rushed through our meal, since the restaurant was already packed. That's a real shame, because we were really looking forward to a nice evening.

We visited this restaurant on February 14, 2026. We had reserved a table in advance, but still had to wait 25 minutes before we could sit down. Our table was right by the door, which made it drafty and very cold. Our food didn't arrive for an hour and a half, which is incredibly slow. If we hadn't been so hungry and had something to celebrate, we would have left after 45 minutes. A two-hour wait from the time of reservation is absolutely unacceptable service. On other days, it was significantly better.

Our visit with a fairly large group was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, the burgers and fries were delicious. Unfortunately, they weren't quite hot when they arrived. But let's start from the beginning. When we arrived (we were a bit early, I must admit), we asked if we could come in or if we should wait. We were told yes and that the table was upstairs. Since we weren't familiar with the place, it would have been nice if someone had gone ahead and shown us the way instead of waiting for us to ask. The young woman working there also seemed rather unenthusiastic at first. This changed somewhat as the evening wore on, and she became a bit friendlier. We also had to wait a while for our drinks. Once everyone had arrived and we ordered (which took some time because a few of us were running late), it took another 50 minutes for our food to arrive, and as I said, it was a bit cold. We didn't say anything about it at the time. ... So the place has potential; the atmosphere is actually really good. And if you overlook these minor issues, it could be very good. The price was also perfectly reasonable. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. All in all, it was a lot of little things that added up to make for a bad evening.

It used to be good. A full menu and delicious dishes... now the menu is small, there's hardly any choice, and the best and most popular items are simply gone. It's a shame they shot themselves in the foot like that.

Unfortunately, our food was cold and extremely greasy! The service was attentive and friendly, but a little overwhelmed!

The food was great, but unfortunately the music was a bit too loud. It was difficult to have a conversation except with the person sitting across from you.

The food is very good. I have no complaints. They even gave me a little surprise for my birthday. The staff is incredibly friendly and takes excellent care of the guests. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit high. Whether it's worth it is debatable. I'd probably go more often if it were cheaper, but I still recommend it!

It used to be really good, but now it's probably better that they're closing. I was there last night. They asked if we had a reservation, otherwise there was only one table available. Four tables were occupied, and most of them had empty glasses or plates. Couldn't they clear them? The items were sitting there for half the evening, and there were never more than four tables occupied, with only two servers. After we got the menus, it took 20 minutes before they even took our order. During that time, the two servers were each standing in the corner with their phones 🙈 Then it took forever for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, the quality isn't what it used to be either. My burger was supposed to have a fried egg, but instead, it had a gooey egg mush on it. Not a fried egg with the yolk running down the side. The rest of the burger was very bland, lacking any flavor. Service doesn't seem to be a priority 🤷‍♂️

Very good food, overpriced drinks (6.90 for non-alcoholic wheat beer).

We were (almost) alone on Monday evening. The service was very attentive. The food was delicious. There's a parking garage around the corner.

Unfortunately, a complete disappointment. We were sitting upstairs and were simply forgotten. After half an hour, I went downstairs to let them know. We were promised that someone would come immediately. Unfortunately, nothing happened. After waiting for 45 minutes, we left. What a shame!

The food and ambiance were top-notch. When registering/reserving, they asked if there was anything to celebrate. I entered my fiancée's birthday, and thus expected some kind of congratulations during the welcome. That wasn't the case, so the expectations created by the question were dashed. For that reason, it's a small reservation and not a full rating for service.

Unfortunately, I have to significantly revise my previous rating downwards. The service is still excellent, the atmosphere is as expected, but the food has changed considerably. The taste is still fantastic, but the burgers are noticeably smaller, while the price, sadly, hasn't.

Unfortunately, the menu has been greatly reduced in size, and card payments are now the only option. Many items are no longer available, which is a real shame! That was sadly my last visit there.

I used to be very happy with this restaurant, but unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing. The staff seemed rude, and there appeared to be a lack of communication with the kitchen. We received a cracked glass, no cutlery on the table (which we had to get ourselves), and burgers that were missing more than half the ingredients. When we inquired, we were told the kitchen had assumed we wanted vegan burgers instead of vegetarian ones, which is why the cheese, caramelized onions, fried egg, and jalapeño sauce were missing. As compensation, we were initially offered two brownies, which I felt was inadequate for a clearly incomplete burger costing €16.90. After I pointed this out, we were offered half price, which we accepted. I would have preferred that the burgers be remade if there had been a mistake in the kitchen. Overall, very disappointing.

Super delicious and unique burgers. We had the Heart Attack and the Soul Healer. Both were pure flavor explosions. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and friendly people, what more could you want? I'm a regular and have never been disappointed. Yesterday, due to a last-minute staff shortage, the waitress handled both the front of house and the kitchen simultaneously without losing her good humor. Hats off to her, that was top-notch! Update November 2025: Reduced from 5 to 3 stars. The service is still very friendly. However, the menu has been reduced, the burgers aren't as tasty anymore (dry patties, way too much sauce), and my impression is that the cocktails now have less alcohol.

Delicious burgers, but the prices are steep.

We always loved going there and were really looking forward to it again yesterday. Unfortunately, they only accept card payments now. If they don't want our cash, we don't want to eat there anymore. We still ended up having a very delicious meal, and there we had the option of paying by card or cash.

Thanks to the excellent staff, we had a wonderful evening! Be sure to follow the chef's recommendation; there's some great food hidden away off the menu.

Incredibly delicious burgers, all available with a vegetarian patty. Several, somewhat more unusual fries. Good selection of different spirits. The ambiance is rather dim due to the heavy use of black decor and the lack of lighting. Very friendly staff.

It used to be a good place. Not anymore. Half the menu was removed. No more chicken dishes. The place has become very quiet.

The food was delicious. Nothing to complain about. The service was good too! The only downside is that the path to the restroom is very dark, and so is the restroom itself.

Used to be great, now unfortunately a flop. The menu has been extremely condensed. No more salads, a vanishingly small burger selection for a burger restaurant, one dessert, and a few fries. THAT'S IT! The food itself was delicious, but the quantity was a joke. The vegetarian patty didn't even fill the small bun. And €15 for that? The staff was very good and friendly, but there was only one person plus a chef, so they were a bit overwhelmed by the situation, which was also evident at the bar, where the dirty glasses were already stacked up. It's not as if there isn't any potential (as we've seen in the past). So I hope the place gets back on its feet and lets me leave with a smile, just like it used to :)

Let's start with the positive: we were quickly assigned our reserved table (5 people), of course in compliance with current regulations, and then we were off to a good start, or not: - 7:00 p.m. arrival - 7:15 p.m. the waiter was at the table for the first time to take drinks - 7:30 p.m. drinks were brought to the table, and the food was ordered - 8:00 p.m. food arrived (in the meantime, no waiter was available, and the drinks were long gone by the time the food arrived), so we reordered while being served and were left high and dry during the meal - 8:20 p.m. drinks were served, we had already finished the food, which was delicious (hence the one star) - 8:30 p.m. the waiter served a generous slice of cheesecake at the neighboring table, which would have been enough for two (one person finished it). - 8:45 p.m. the dishes were cleared, and we were allowed to order dessert. Full of anticipation for the amazing slice of cheesecake, we ordered one for the two of us. We'd been sitting on the couch for 15 minutes. - 9:00 p.m. As it turned out, our slice was only 1/3 of the cheesecake slice from the neighboring table. Extremely disappointing. It was happy hour for cocktails - €5 per selected cocktail. They had Sex on the Beach for us. - 9:20 p.m. The Sex on the Beach was brought to the table, it really tasted like €5, more juice than anything else, and you could taste a hint of amaretto. - 9:40 p.m. We tried to pay - but it remained an attempt, because the server, like the entire evening, was very sparsely present in our area. - 10:05 p.m. - After we personally approached the bar to ask if anyone else wanted to work, we were finally served and billed, as there wasn't enough for a second cocktail. The place was certainly not overcrowded; on the contrary, it was rather lightly attended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, they managed to serve us, a table of five adults, "once in a while." We were thirsty, so some of us ordered double drinks, but that didn't help either, because the empty glasses apparently aren't an indication of thirst. I'm honestly disappointed, and so are my four friends. If you don't feel like it, please don't bother, or if necessary, please hire more staff (but I certainly didn't see the need; they could have handled it with the current staffing levels at the time). Sorry, but I don't think I'll be back; perhaps the other locations are better positioned than Iserlohn!

The service was very friendly, the burger was OK, but nothing special. It was rather small and quite expensive. The seating was rather uncomfortable and dark.

A formerly innovative burger joint has sunk into the lower middle class. We waited almost an hour for our food, and the place wasn't even full. We also had to call the waiter over, otherwise we would have had to wait another hour just to order. The menu has also been drastically reduced. The pulled pork fries have been eliminated. Instead, you now get a portion of fries with bacon flakes for a mere €9, which isn't much more than a large portion at McDonald's. The dessert options have been reduced to one cake. Unfortunately, we will be looking for a new burger joint.

Excellent homemade burgers. Lots of variety to choose from. Excellent service, quiet restaurant, and a great location.

The staff was truly accommodating and polite. They regularly checked our table to see if we were missing anything and also asked if everything was okay. Our burgers not only looked good, but the taste and quality were incredibly good. We'd be happy to come back.

I recommend everyone eat in. I think the experience is better than having food delivered. I was certainly disappointed. The delivery was cold, and the base fries crown that the Heart Attack Burger was advertised with on Uber Eats was simply missing. The truffle mayo was good, though.

We had reserved a table for 8 people online in advance. The burgers were very tasty, our children loved them too. The sauce on the burgers and the fries on the side tasted particularly good. Unfortunately it wasn't all that cheap overall, and the drinks in particular seemed quite expensive to us. But overall a nice place to eat delicious burgers.

Simply the best burger joint in the area. Been there 3 times, had great food and service 3 times. Of course a little more expensive, but this time more than justified!

The waitress was unfriendly. They should put up signs saying that you're not allowed to just sit down. And then they had the nerve to make us wait so long to order, even though several people came after us and ordered before us. After that, a young man came who was really friendly. But we won't be coming back.

Really delicious burgers and fries in a chic atmosphere! I think the concept is really well-developed, and you can tell that everything is homemade. The staff was really friendly, and we got our food quickly. Gluten-free burgers are even available upon request. All burgers are also available in vegetarian or vegan versions, so there's truly something for everyone!

Base Burger impresses with a great selection of special burgers that are not only delicious but also absolutely fair in terms of price. We paid around €45-50 for two people including drinks, which is perfectly fine for the quality and portion size. The menu offers a good mix of classic and creative burger variations, so there is something for every taste. The ingredients were fresh, the meat was juicy, and the side dishes rounded off the meal perfectly. The only small negative point: Parking can be a bit difficult if you don't know your way around, as the restaurant is located right in the pedestrian zone. If you inform yourself beforehand or come straight away by public transport, it will be easier. All in all, a great shop for all burger lovers – we’ll definitely be back!

I can't really say much. We were there for the first time. The heating was broken and after waiting over an hour for the food, we paid for our drinks and left (a first for us). It's a shame, we were really looking forward to the evening.

The service again couldn't be customer-oriented because there were too many people and only one employee. We have now experienced this negatively once again. We didn't evaporate, but we would have wanted to eat more and maybe eaten dessert. I experienced this situation not only this Sunday, but also twice during the week. It put us off a bit, so we don't have to come at first. Food was delicious again. The employee was as nice as possible. It's a shame that staff cuts are being made so that no drinks or other things can be sold in order to hire more staff. We hope that there will be change for the employee and the others who feel the same way in the team. It was another great evening with a delicious burger and dessert, but what was really wonderful was the super nice service and very attentive.

Waited over an hour for the food, but it was delicious. An experience not only for the palate, but also for the eyes. The prices are on the higher side, but the staff is very friendly. I would have preferred 3 stars because of the value for money and the long waiting time, but the friendliness and taste convinced me to give it 4 stars.

We were there on Saturday. Food was great! Service was top!! Unfortunately we have to tell you that we are really disappointed that baseburger has abolished the coffee machine!!!! The store was completely booked! At least 6 tables like us wanted to order dessert with coffee. Unfortunately no coffee possible. Excuse me?! What is wrong with the management please??? How can you get rid of the coffee machine??? Just because it's not so well received in another city...?! That's why, like most people, we didn't order any more dessert... that way you can scare away the guests!!

Bis 22 Uhr geöffnet. Wir waren um 21 Uhr dort und haben kein Essen mehr bekommen. Das gleiche habe ich bei Google bewertet und diese Bewertung hat man wegen Verleumdung löschen lassen.. lächerlich. Eigentlich mochte ich Baseburger, aber dort werde ich nicht mehr essen. Preise sind auch mittlerweile viel zu hoch.

Burgers were very tasty. Unfortunately, 2 of 8 burgers were already cold and 2 were lukewarm. Not possible for the price. A few vegetarian burgers should also be on the menu... Service was rarely visible - the first gentleman was only responsible for lighting candles. He couldn't take drinks...

Great food and a very nice location, service was very nice and friendly, we weren't asked in between if we wanted to order drinks or something similar.

A nice location, even if it was a little too cold for our girls at the table. Too few staff, but the two service staff gave their all. The food wasn't very hot but the burgers tasted very good. The fries were good, but nothing special. I think the prices are too high due to the quantity received. All in all a nice visit, although I have to say I expected more. There was nothing to complain about, but nothing to cheer about either. Maybe we'll come by again sometime.

The drinks and food came quickly and the staff was friendly and very attentive. The burgers were good, although not absolutely great. The "don't call it fries" were average at best. The tables are very close to each other, so you can hear everything from the neighboring tables and overall it's not particularly comfortable.
