For the price there is a great buffet. I've only been there once, but the staff could have been a little friendlier and you felt like you were being watched every time you went to the buffet. Still recommended overall.

Wow! 🤩 This buffet is truly gigantic, super delicious, and varied. Only the dessert buffet could be a bit more extensive 😜 Highly recommended, we'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, the buffet was already closed at 10 p.m., but you can eat a la card.

To be honest - as part of our training session we got vouchers for the restaurant. One main meal and a small drink. In all fairness - it was the worse food we had for a long long long time. Wow it was bad. At least the view was lovely towards the ski area but if you can avoid the kitchen - do so.

On May 12, 2025, I was in the Xiao Oberhausen restaurant with two business partners who are also customers of our company. Unfortunately our visit this time was a very negative experience. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired, especially the salads were obviously old and inedible. The choice of food was also significantly limited compared to before. Such deviations can perhaps still be understood on a Monday after the weekend. What was absolutely unacceptable, however, was the way the responsible staff handled our legitimate complaints. We wanted to return a spoiled salad, whereupon we were informed that we would still have to pay for it: 14 euros for 200g. It's not about the amount, but about the lack of respect and lack of responsibility on the part of the restaurant management. Unfortunately, one of my business partners was admitted to the EKO Hospital that same evening with severe stomach problems. I also had stomach problems, albeit in a milder form. I have often been a guest at Restaurant Xiao in the past and have had mostly good experiences so far. This visit was all the more disappointing. The ambience and location are still excellent - but the poor management endangers the reputation and continued existence of this establishment. I will not visit this restaurant again in the future and cannot recommend it - especially for business occasions.

We got a VIP room just for us (14 people), even with our own toilet 🤭 where can you find such luxury? 😉 The service was great, nothing to complain about! The buffet is always refilled, with plenty of choice. Medium lamb from the grill was said to be very tender and tasty and was a hit with the men. After the starter soup, main course, sushi and plenty of dessert (2 chocolate fountains), no one went home hungry 😉 The atmosphere is bright and clean, the staff is nice and friendly. We really liked it there. P.S. There is probably a playground for the kiddos, where the parents can sit at the table in the immediate vicinity (but it's better to ask, I think)

I recommend with confidence, very good food

Went to the Oriental Gourmet again today, the food was partly cold, the noodles were overcooked, the fried rice was still rock hard, the chocolate fountain was watery, the ice cream wasn't the best either, the quality wasn't what it used to be either. After we asked, we found out that there was a change of operator in January

I was at the Gurmet Temple in Dortmund. I liked it very much. The buffet was very large and there were many different dishes. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The live cooking was particularly nice. The chefs prepared the food right in front of us. The staff was friendly and quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. The price-performance ratio is also very good. I would love to come back and can only recommend the Gurmet Temple!
