Very good food but a bit expensive

We were all (5 people) thrilled with the food; the staff and chefs were super friendly and fun to be around. The drinks were always refilled quickly. We've been to tapas restaurants many times, but this restaurant surpassed them all with its Spanish and Italian buffet. Congratulations, I can't wait to spread the word. The food was once again great and the selection was hard to beat.

Four of us went to DALI in Dorsten and were thrilled. Rarely have we tasted such a varied buffet. Everything was very tasty and warm food was always refilled. Both the cold and warm dishes were well seasoned to our liking. The desserts were so delicious and the small portions meant you could try different ones. The atmosphere in the customs hall was very cozy and the service was very friendly and open to questions about the history of the customs hall. We will recommend you and will definitely come back. We visited this restaurant for the first time in January and have been coming here really regularly since then. For us the absolute best restaurant 🫶 The service is really bomb 100 percent attentive, and the food doesn't get any better for us. The ambience is simply great. (old mine site) Really great concept. Great old industrial walls. Several restaurants. We were greeted warmly and escorted to the table. Procedures were explained and drinks were served. The buffet is second to none. Very rich and varied. The staff was absolutely top, really good. Very, very friendly and attentive! I think we'll be back!

Food is okay overall. There's basically nothing wrong with going there. At times there was a great need for meat and the shops were empty. The vegetables are quite soaked or too fatty. But we were there quite late. The beef that is freshly prepared there is really recommended. Desserts are good too.

Update: After the visit, I unfortunately experienced severe gastrointestinal problems. Whether there is a connection with the food cannot be said for sure - but I would like to mention it for the sake of completeness. The Dali offers an impressively diverse selection of dishes - from tapas to pasta, there is something for everyone. Unfortunately, the quality varied: While some dishes were solid, other hot dishes were only lukewarm at the table. Unfortunately, the pasta made from the Parmesan wheel was disappointing - it was far too oily and, in terms of consistency, it had been kept in the cheese wheel for a long time rather than freshly tossed. However, a real no-go was the hygiene situation on the fruit plate: A child repeatedly reached into the display with his bare fingers, each time under the supervision of an adult who made no attempt to intervene. When I asked a waiter about it - who even observed the situation himself - he promised to pay attention. However, instead of speaking to the family or exchanging the fruit, he poked around helplessly with the tongs. It's a shame because, to be honest, it was just disgusting. The atmosphere in the large hall seems rather cool and restless. A romantic evening for two was hardly possible there, especially since we unfortunately couldn't move to the quieter side room - there were probably no tables for two there. The loud Spanish dance music and the regularly appearing escape room groups, who stood in the gallery like extras from a very confused play, rounded off the acoustically and visually rather hectic experience. The friendly welcome and the service at the table should be positively highlighted - you felt like you were in good hands here.

The explanation was friendly, and we were assigned a personalized table. The buffet was well-organized. A large selection of cold and hot appetizers, main courses from the buffet, and separate chef-cooked and dessert dishes were served. The chef was very friendly and helpful! The restrooms were clean and modern. No accessible restrooms. However, there was a wider door. No separate handles or anything similar. Drinks were served at the table. Orders were taken at regular intervals. Empty plates were cleared promptly. Completely reasonable value for money. Would definitely go again.

Great restaurant on the old mine site. It has a certain charm, but the dining room is very loud. You get used to it quickly, but it's not the quietest atmosphere. The food is excellent. From various starters and warm appetizers to the main course and the sweet and cheese variations - no one goes home hungry - we promise. I think several visits are necessary to be able to try everything. Great. Service very friendly and attentive. Quiet dogs are welcome and also receive fresh water. The chandelier for decoration is unique.

It was our first time at Dali and we were very impressed. We were welcomed directly at the door and taken to the table, the buffet was very varied and the food was very tasty. We can absolutely recommend it and would be happy to come back.

Old wage hall of the disused Fürst Leopold colliery. Spanish/Italian buffet with a very large selection of starters, main courses, live cooking and desserts, all very tasty. You can't try everything so much to choose from. Service is very friendly, drinks are brought quickly and people always ask. Empty plates are also cleared away quickly. We'll be back. Very nice and industrial atmosphere in the wage hall from the coal mining era. Food from the buffet was great, there was always enough and the time flew by. A must see!

Rich, varied buffet, for starters, main courses and dessert. Additionally live cooking. There are no large quantities of anything in the buffet, but it is always refilled quickly. The quality surprised me more than positively for a buffet. The waitresses are attentive, very friendly and quick. Price for the evening was absolutely reasonable. Only the entrance could be made a little more obvious; at first we thought it was a side exit to the terrace.

We were with four people. First of all, a nice atmosphere, at least in the anteroom, you come in at the entrance and walk straight towards the bar/reception. You are immediately greeted in a very friendly manner by smiling employees. To the left of the bar there is a smaller denier room, where the overall volume was nice and quiet to medium volume. Directly opposite the entrance is a door that leads into a large room and therefore also to the buffet and further seating. To the right/diagonally opposite the bar there is another station where you can get freshly prepared pasta. The only real drawback that could be mentioned are the drinks. Everything is only offered in 0.2 to 0.33 l, which brings with it the annoying habit of having to order a drink every ten minutes, disturbs the atmosphere a little and is not necessarily because you want to save money, because if you count €2.60 for 0.2 l, you're probably also counting around €5 for 0.5 l. It's just that after one sip you felt like the glass was already empty. About the food: As described, traditional Spanish/Italian cuisine, some tapas but also warm dishes. Unfortunately, I was missing a bit more choice here, which is why I got one star less (I know, it's easier said than done, but in the large room, not all of the space was used, which was still separated by curtains), but what was there was very tasty and was always replenished (completely). The meat was super tender, the seafood was cooked to perfection and there was simply nothing wrong with the dessert. Toilets: It took a lot of getting used to because the women's toilet was basically open to the men's and so you can hear everything there (perhaps unpleasant for some people). But very clean! Service: All employees were very friendly and accommodating.

The food is and remains simply great. Lots of choice and delicious food. The ambience with the old hall is simply charming. The only time you shouldn't have a table at the entrance is when it's cold. Unfortunately there is always a draft when the door opens and closes!

We have always enjoyed going to Dali for a good 5 years, the quality has NEVER decreased.

At first we didn't get an appointment, then suddenly we got one at 8 p.m.! Arrived 15 minutes early! Surprisingly, there are still many places available… Well, the buffet wasn't anything special. Things had been there for a while and were already there pretty dry! That's just how it is when the first guests arrive come at 4 p.m., then nothing really gets added at the end... All in all, the price is for this quality €40 is just way too high!! But luckily the staff was very nice and the location is exceptional!

Food and service very good. But we got a table right at the entrance and there was probably no one else available. It was super cold, almost unbearable. There is a curtain hanging around the door, but the sides are completely free. A catastrophe. So you couldn't enjoy the food

The food is good, the service is attentive, and in contrast to the Factory, the atmosphere is such that you can have a good conversation. Therefore everything is good.

We were there for the first and last time. Actually a nicely done restaurant, but table to table, you had the feeling of dining as a large group. The selection is very large and some of it was very tasty, but the mussels tasted very strange - I had to spit them into a napkin. The toilets were unbearably dirty, but you could still hear someone vomiting. After an hour we left and now I have terrible stomach cramps! 1 hour, 2 people and almost 100€ later I regret the reservation. But for the friendly service there are 4 stars!

I really had a great visit to the all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant DALI Dorsten. The selection of food was huge and there was really something for everyone - from crispy salads to delicious main courses and great desserts. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The staff was nice and made sure the tables were clean and the buffet stations were always well stocked. A great place for everyone who likes variety and good food!

A really great buffet!! Something completely different (and much better) than the usual Asian stuff. Lots of exciting selection and variety. The live cooking with the Iberico steak was also awesome. The buffet is awesome!!! All Spanish/Italian cuisine! There is no one who can ever try everything there in one evening! Incredible selection! But in contrast to other buffets, emphasis here is not only on quantity but also on quality. 38€ + drinks (prices are not cheap but really not too expensive either) is not small, but we will be back!! Regarding the culinary aspects, we can only say thank you to all the wait staff and kitchen staff behind the counter! It was very, very nice at Dali!! Top!!!

Always nice at Dali, large selection of different dishes, none of which taste like a commercial kitchen but rather individually. Plus the live cooking corner and the many desserts in the industrial atmosphere... always good👍 The staff is also on their toes and often asks if everything is OK and if you want something new to drink when the glass is almost empty.

We were at Dali for the first time, Staff is top, very polite and very attentive Buffet food, lots of choice But at first I had the impression that it wasn't fresh, but this was confirmed: stomach cramps as soon as I left! At home we first threw up the mussels... But when my better half didn't come out of the bathroom, Dali had taken care of it for us...it was a great night in the bathroom The day after...Please don't bend down today Otherwise I won't be able to stop spitting Dali no thanks!

The selection is good and it tasted good. It was quickly refilled. It would be nice if allergens were identified. When it comes to dessert, e.g. if you are lactose intolerant, there is no or hardly any offer, so one star is deducted. Reception and service were good. Our table was in the entrance area, when guests came it was very cold and drafty, so a point was deducted.

Mega...from the food to the service

We were there for the first time on Christmas Day! The atmosphere is good & the staff is super nice! There is something for every palate at the buffet! The dessert buffet is great🤤😋 Maybe a small suggestion for improvement...we couldn't find the entrance because it didn't say "Dali" anywhere! We first went to the wrong restaurant and were given directions! Behind us came a group of people who didn't know where it was either. But otherwise I can definitely recommend the “Dali”👍

We visited Dali on a Thursday with 11 people. Everyone was more than satisfied: excellent food in abundance. The price of €38 for the buffet is absolutely justified. The steaks were cooked to perfection in front of us (as requested).

An evening at Dali is always something special, whether outside on the terrace in summer or in the lovingly furnished interior. The industrial charm combined with the huge chandelier, all the books and curtains with texts by poets always allow you to discover something. The buffet offers a huge selection and invites you to try new dishes. It is anything but boring and allows you to discover new flavors again and again. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Yesterday we went to Dali in Dorsten for the first time. Even the ambience is different than in the “typical buffet restaurants”. Really nicely put together. Food was great and the service was really top!

We were there during the week. The location has something. However, the large hall is quite loud. The staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks came quickly and dishes were continually cleared. The food was plentiful and not really bad. At the buffet it can happen that the food dries out at some point. In my opinion, the food quality could still be a little better for the price.

So having a large selection for this price is of course nice. For me personally, the quality of the food was unfortunately very lacking... Yes the food was fresh but for this price I can definitely eat better. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed and went home with a stomach ache.

I found the atmosphere good. Also that the music wasn't too loud. What I would improve is the condition of the toilet, at least for ladies. The toilet was clean at 5 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., when we left, I went to the toilet again. It was no longer beautiful and no longer clean. Since I organize events myself, I know that with so many people and children, you have to send staff to the toilets twice an hour to make them suitable for visitors again. Unfortunately, it is neglected almost everywhere. The toilets are clean when they open, but two hours later it's no longer fun to use them. Otherwise everything from the food and staff was great.

I was invited there by friends - birthday present. Basically I liked it there. Despite the large room, the noise level is very pleasant. The service was impeccable, plates were always cleared promptly, and the waitresses took good care of us. However, after we paid and left, we weren't even worth a goodbye or anything like that. That really irritated me. The choice of food is extensive, lots of choice. I recognize this, but I couldn't see it particularly well. The meat at the Rodizio grill area was already very dry and had probably lain there for too long. But still delicious. Only: €37.90 is very sporty. Even at the buffet you can only eat as much as you can eat. And I don't understand the drinks. In my opinion, asking just under €3 for these 0.2l Pepsi bottles and almost €4 for the 0.3l non-alcoholic shandy is too expensive. Conclusion: The food selection is plentiful and good, but in my opinion the price of food and drinks is too expensive. By the way, we were able to see it yesterday evening (on a Saturday evening). The store was not sold out, many seats were still available. I'm not sure if I'll go again. But: Anyone who goes knows that €37.90 is due for food.

Very nice atmosphere. Ideal for a special experience. You can spend a lovely evening there with your friends. Huge selection of delicious dishes. Very nice staff. The ideal place for me and my work colleagues to meet once a year.
