2nd visit with the family. Plentiful, tasty food, and constantly replenished. A huge buffet, like on a cruise ship. You never feel like you're being overfed. High-quality food, including a plentiful supply of seafood. Drinks are reasonably priced, and highchairs and an ice cream buffet are available. The service is attentive and very friendly. Even the elderly gentleman who assigns parking spaces is friendly. We asked to swap tables because we arrived with a stroller. This request was also granted immediately. We would gladly return, for all friends and connoisseurs of Italian food and the joys of life.

We always enjoy being guests here. Sure, some might say it's a bit expensive, but I personally think the price/performance ratio is worth considering. I don't know of anywhere comparable that offers such high-quality food in such a variety. The service is always top-notch, very friendly, and always very prompt. A quick side note: I would appreciate guest Wi-Fi, as unfortunately, there's no reception inside the building 😇

Parking is a bit of a disaster, but hopefully it will improve once the renovation of the old Real is complete. However, there are free, unlimited parking spaces a few meters away.

Wow, wow, wow... We were here for the first time today and will definitely be back. The quality and selection of the food were top-notch. I'm a trained hotel manager myself, so I can only speak highly of the wonderful staff who work here. They were so friendly and accommodating; we felt very comfortable. Even the email contact regarding a seating request was seamless and extremely friendly. Only the heat dampened the wonderful evening a little. It was very hot in the restaurant due to the grill station and the current summer weather; unfortunately, there's no air conditioning. We can recommend Eatalio to everyone.

Unreserved recommendation, there are several parking spaces available which are specially designated due to major construction work in front of the restaurant, you will be shown there, you will also be assigned a table in the restaurant and one of the staff will show you to your table, the staff were very friendly and explained everything very kindly when asked, the buffet is overwhelmingly varied, the price is a bit on the higher side at €36.90 per adult, but this is put into perspective when you consider the huge selection of food on offer and additional offers, such as a special ice cream stand in the restaurant, fresh spaghetti from a cheese wheel, grill and pizza counter, etc. Add to that the drinks. After about two hours, we arrived at a price of about €55 per person. It all depends on which and how many drinks you add... By the way, there was never a rush or a queue for the food, even though the restaurant was very busy, which is also a very positive thing... People would also ask if everything was okay, etc. We will be going back there soon with a birthday party; it's truly something special there... In a somewhat inconspicuous location, you'll find a unique ambiance here. The entire staff is fully focused on service. Please don't be put off by the prices. They may seem high at first, but when you consider the buffet behind them, they're completely justified. The only criticism I have is that we didn't manage to try everything. It's definitely worth a repeat visit. One small caveat, though: Please note that the parking lot in front of the building is currently closed due to construction work. Therefore, you'll have to turn right into the dead end after the bend and hope to find a parking space.

A wonderful atmosphere, very friendly waiters, chefs, and staff! We felt very comfortable with you. The buffet is fantastic and very varied; there's something for everyone. There are cold and warm salads, various cheeses, and the beef is super tender. Various rice and pasta dishes, potatoes, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, pizza, pizza rolls, freshly made small burgers, seafood, and pasta fresh from a cheese wheel. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the restaurant is so spacious that you can easily work your meal off with the next course. People with sore feet should definitely request a table downstairs when making a reservation. There was one thing, however, that meant we won't be coming back, at least not in the summer: the air! It's not well ventilated at all (unless you're sitting by a window). It was so extremely hot that you couldn't even enjoy the buffet and had to spend a lot of money on drinks alone. A few fans would be very helpful!

Ambience: Looks like you're sitting in the remains of the old Prisma (nightclub), with makeshift decor. Service: There were no dessert spoons for over 30 minutes. Food: Average. Pizza was cold and soggy, lasagna was too salty. The rest was okay, but nothing above average.

Finally, an unusual location. It's amazing what you can do with an old factory hall. The variety of dishes you can get there is absolutely amazing. Everything is freshly made and absolutely delicious. There's something for every taste. The generous staff is very attentive and friendly. Everything is perfectly organized, right down to the parking attendant. We'll definitely be back.

I highly recommend the restaurant. I've been there several times with my family and would go back again. A balanced diet and an empty stomach are definitely beneficial. :) The service is always very good, and requests are catered for.

As promised, you get a huge buffet with numerous main courses, starters, and desserts. From pizza to various pasta and meat dishes, antipasti, salads, and side dishes. Food is also freshly prepared in the open kitchen. The food has always been good, and the service is fast and friendly. Of course, it's a large restaurant, and the noise level is accordingly high. What I noticed positively is that, despite its size and the large number of guests, everything is always clean. The women's restroom on the ground floor could use more light and a renovation. We prefer the one on the first floor. Parking is a bit difficult, so we use a free parking space above the restaurant. Conclusion: Highly recommended, and we always enjoy coming here!

I celebrated my birthday there with friends. Due to construction work, the parking spaces were somewhat restricted, but that wasn't a big deal. The food and the presentation were of a high standard. The evening itself wasn't a very pleasant one, though, as the air was so stuffy and extremely warm that we were glad to finally get outside and get some fresh air. When we checked with them, we were told that more and more people are complaining about it, but nothing is being done about it. A return visit during the summer months is therefore out of the question.

The food is truly excellent, and the staff is also very attentive. The only problem is that it's not a good idea to eat there when it's warm. It was incredibly hot inside the restaurant, considerably warmer than the outside temperature. Unfortunately, this left a bitter aftertaste to the evening. It would be beneficial to install air conditioning or at least ceiling fans.

Unfortunately, all the food is too salty, which makes you extremely thirsty and leads you to order more drinks than usual. It's a clever concept overall, but a shame because the food was generally delicious. I actually enjoy salty food in everyday life, so I was surprised that this food seemed "so salty." The freshly prepared food was by far the best.

An interesting concept, but unfortunately not culinary-wise convincing. Despite the truly large selection, I personally found hardly anything that really appealed to me. The food I did have was okay, but often rather bland. For the price, I would have expected more culinary-wise. Some of the food was also incorrectly labeled (tuna instead of Margherita pizza rolls). Unfortunately, Eatalio closes the buffet at 9:00 PM, so there isn't much time to eat, at least not if you're planning a leisurely dinner. Afterward, they cheerfully clear up, so that as a guest, you feel like you should leave the place promptly. The service was otherwise attentive and friendly. I found the ambiance rather uncomfortable – it reminded me of a school cafeteria at times. Overall, a very disappointing experience for me.

First of all, the ambiance... it wasn't nice. There were certainly nice places, but the one we were sitting at reminded me more of McDonald's. The servers were super nice and mostly tried their best. Even though we had to wait a bit to order our drinks. Waiters kept coming by and asking if everything was OK. The food wasn't that good. We had to send back pizza and meat because it was impossible to cut. Then we got a steak, which was terrible. When the next waiter asked if everything was OK, I told him that the advertisement had nothing to do with the steak. And he called the chef. They made me two new ones, which were very good. He apologized and said that wasn't the standard they were trying to set. He saved the evening with his friendly manner. The dessert was super good, no matter what I tried. All in all, for that price, I wouldn't go there again: 2 people, 5 Cokes, two buffets, 94 euros.

Of course, not everyone eats the same amount, but the buffet price is still very high, and then there are the drinks on top. The tables assigned to us were a bit cramped for 11 people, making it difficult to sit and eat comfortably.

I can recommend the "all-you-can-eat" buffet. I was very impressed by the neat presentation of the buffet. Everything was fresh. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday. The various dishes and meal components (such as salads, breads, dips, casseroles, and even meat AND desserts that were special to me) were always readily available and replenished. FURTHERMORE, the food that was and should have been warm was always kept hot/warm (very good), and the food that needed to be kept cool was kept well chilled (very good). It's easy to sit together as a group, either inside or even outside (pleasant behind some green plants). The waiters ask questions at regular intervals. I can recommend the buffet experience there. I haven't seen such a good buffet in a long time.

I don't know what happened, but unfortunately the quality today was not as described in the comments here. There were five of us there. We had reserved a table for the evening buffet, mentioning someone who uses a walker. We were given a table right next to a step, with no barrier-free access. It was incredibly loud. It was very warm, with no air conditioning. The table and surrounding interior had clearly seen its best. To get to the buffet, we had to go down the step and back up again. Not feasible for someone who uses a walker without assistance, despite the reservation, which mentioned the person who uses a walker, and confirmation of the reservation. The buffet was quite large and long, but almost all of the food was lukewarm, some was completely oversalted, or had probably just been served next to some spices. The meat selection at the buffet was very limited; I think there were only three different meat dishes. There was more fish, but there was no sign of the advertised XXL prawns. The vegetarian portion of the dishes was very high, but unfortunately they had been in the chafing dishes for far too long and were therefore dried out and rubbery. The only bright spot was the dessert section. If you like sweet things, you'll get your money's worth here. The steaks on offer were tough, stringy, and sometimes like the sole of a shoe. The burgers served with them didn't deserve their name. The patty tasted more like a leftover, old meatball from a snack bar. Unfortunately, not recommended. The spaghetti from the cheese wheel was only lukewarm and not particularly tasty. Perhaps they should consider a different seasoning, as this one really wasn't of a high standard. Pizzas were also offered. They looked good and might have tasted good if they had been cooked. The soft-serve ice cream machine was a small highlight. The ice cream was tasty, but melted very quickly in the high temperatures. A word about accessibility: The sanitary facilities were absolutely not suitable for disabled visitors. The sanitary areas are so small and cramped that you can't even get in and out properly with a walker. How about getting in and out with a wheelchair? All in all, we were very disappointed, especially since this isn't one of the cheaper places. We could have saved ourselves the almost €45 per person. We probably won't be visiting this establishment again.

Unfortunately, the price of around €50 per person including drinks was way overkill for the quality we found. The music and surroundings (when the place was full) were unfortunately very loud. Unfortunately, this is our first and last time; we don't understand the hype at all. What a shame. Ps: the vitello was actually good!

We were there yesterday, June 21, 2025. My daughter made a reservation online. The positive thing about the reservation was that we could indicate whether anyone with a walker or wheelchair was coming. We've been there twice already and were curious to see if it would still be as good. Turn into the destination street and think a rocket has hit here. The entire area is cordoned off with construction fences and is full of rubble. There are garbage containers in the "eatalio" parking lot. No parking possible. The shopping center in front of the restaurant is apparently being renovated? But there are signs for alternative parking spaces on the construction fence. So, we'll go there first. For me, as a severely disabled person, the walk is too far. So I reported to the attendant and was told to go back to his colleague at the entrance to the previous parking lot. It is possible to park directly at the restaurant. However, the colleague had instructions not to allow anyone onto the premises. The parking space at the restaurant is just big enough for the employees. So I was advised to drive to the Rossmann parking lot at my own risk. A very arduous journey for me and my 83-year-old mother-in-law. As I was leaving after dinner, I noticed that surveillance cameras had been set up there. The management of "eatalio" seems completely incapable of finding a solution for people with disabilities. For example, reaching an agreement with Rossmann and renting the first five or six parking spaces as disabled parking spaces, or something similar. How can restaurant management be so incompetent? Dear local councilors, the construction site is expected to last another two years; please refrain from visiting the restaurant if you can't manage any further travel. The food has also deteriorated in taste. There is also no proper ventilation or air conditioning. Most drinks are only offered in 0.33-liter containers. Because of the heat in the restaurant, you naturally drink more. Out of sheer desperation, you end up ordering a 0.7-liter water. My conclusion is that you don't need a restaurant that's so inflexible. The only thing that's really still good is the dessert buffet. Perhaps management will take action and make some adjustments. Why does the restaurant have a website if it lacks the intelligence to update it? A notice about the construction site and the associated alternative parking spaces further away would be nice. Whether we'll come back again is anyone's guess.

Here, both men and women can see for themselves that Italians don't just make pizza and pasta, but can experience and taste the full range of Italian cuisine at the huge buffet! Plus, the friendly service is attentive but not at all intrusive! The interior of the restaurant is also perfect! And so, a large piece of Bella Italia comes to Dortmund... I say Mille Grazie for that and I'll be happy to come back.

From the wide selection of delicious food to the friendly service, the stay was pleasant. I highly recommend the buffet! The only drawback was that the air conditioning didn't cool the air for a long time. I/we will definitely be back!

We were there today at 4:30 p.m. for the all-you-can-eat buffet. The antipasti counter was amazing: a wide selection and delicious. The pasta counter had just as much choice, but unfortunately, it was all run-of-the-mill. A lot of it was simple with cream sauce and a variety of meat and/or vegetables. The carabonara was inedible, like a bag. The pizzas were good, but nothing exceptional. The asparagus was very tasty. All in all, it's mass-produced food for crowds that want to be served. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
