Oh dear, the ambience, the dusty curtains were replaced with new ones. Service was quick, very attentive, not intrusive. Food was very varied, but the steak was thin and it was bloody. It was halfway through not bloody and toes of meat. My son got cold burgers 🍔. Plates were also cold. Therefore well justified at least 1 star deduction!!

We've been to eatalio for the umpteenth time now, but somehow the quality of the buffet is getting worse and worse. Lasagna baked completely dry, shrimps like rubber, overcooked for far too long. Meat dishes very dry, etc. Compared to Dali Dorsten, a huge difference. Hope it gets better again. We were there again and the quality and taste of the food was again top. Maybe we were just unlucky back then. Happy to come back ☺️

Rich selection of Italian dishes at the high-class buffet. There are only two tiny things to complain about that detract from the ambience: 1. Unfortunately it is not an insider tip and is therefore very well attended. 2. You get full much quicker than you can eat your way through the buffet. In short: a great restaurant and always worth a visit.

Wow, what can I say... As someone who is very, very picky when it comes to food and always finds something, it is the first time that I can say that I was 100 percent satisfied with everything and my expectations were more than exceeded, whether vegetables, meat, fish and even the dessert, everything was amazing explosions of taste, Italian passion that you can feel, see and taste, everything is great. I can warmly recommend this place with a very clear conscience and if you have the opportunity to eat here then do so

The food was so varied and super fresh! It was constantly being refilled and you never had to wait long, even at the “show stations”! We were absolutely full after 3 rounds and couldn't even try everything! The service was very, very friendly and accommodating! We were lucky to have caught a very, very nice service employee last night! Thank you for that and for a particularly nice evening!

The food is really tasty and the selection is plentiful. On our first visit we tried a bit of everything and we couldn't miss it. There are a lot of goodies. There are various Italian specialties here consisting of pizza, pasta, meat, fish, salads and much more. My favorite was the pork belly. Simply fantastic. The desserts are also outstanding. Toilets are clean although not perfect and service was friendly but not effusive. Still pleasant. The prices for the drinks were okay, although a bit high. The price of the food was reasonable. If you don't find anything for yourself here, it's simply your own fault. :) We'll be back!

The selection was huge: fresh antipasti, different types of pizza, homemade pasta, lasagna and even a live cooking area where you could have your steak prepared fresh from the grill. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared - especially the tiramisu for dessert was a dream! The atmosphere was also pleasantly Italian, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. A little tip: it can get a little busier at peak times, but the team refilled everything quickly and were very attentive. Great value for money – I’ll definitely be back!

Sat up the stairs where the fan worked properly. Also from the volume. The distance to the buffet is very long from there. We were only asked for drinks once and then no one came. Food and selection is very good.

We have been here for the 8th time now and will keep coming back. So far, we have never found such a large selection at such a low price; always with additional promotions, like currently with “Spanish specialties”. What is particularly noticeable is that the staff CONSTANTLY checks all the food served for temperature, quantity and cleanliness. ATTENTION!

The food in the restaurant was very tasty, but I think the price-performance ratio is at best okay (three stars). Because of the price, I personally eat here maybe once a year. But every guest/visitor has to decide for themselves ;-)

Nothing tasted good, even the prawns from Aldi were tastier. Any type of pasta was bitter. Dessert tasted old, like it was from the day before.

You don't even know where to start first. And it was always fresh. Someone always looked if something was empty or if something no longer looked good, it was removed immediately. Twelve of us celebrated my birthday today by visiting eatalio. My guests were all very enthusiastic because the Italian cuisine offers something for all tastes. The atmosphere is good for the size of the restaurant. We, with a wheelchair user, had enough space. The service was present without being intrusive. In terms of price, this is already a high level. But if you want to complain about it, you should make another choice. I thought it was good here and my guests were all very satisfied. That was worth it to me.

We were here for the second time now. But the first time was over a year ago. My wife and I were more than satisfied. There was a large selection of great dishes. The individual dishes were all very tasty. There is a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It would probably be a little too expensive for the whole family. The two of us really enjoyed the evening. The only drawback may be the parking spaces, which are a bit away, but that shouldn't detract from a successful evening.

The buffet was amazing. I never had an Italian buffet. It was incredible. Their pizzas are my favorite.

It was my first time here and ever at an Italian buffet. Were here on a Saturday evening. I was absolutely thrilled with this evening. I was there with my daughter and we feasted extensively for a good 3 hours. In my opinion there is something for everyone. Whether you're a meat eater or not. There is a plentiful selection of starters. Almost countless main courses and fantastic desserts. As I said, we are absolutely thrilled. Likewise from the location. Is a former factory building. Very simply but very originally furnished. The service is absolutely impeccable. Very friendly, numerous and quick. The used plates are always cleared away immediately. I have now read that there are other buffet locations for other styles such as Greek, American and Spanish. I'll definitely try one or the other at some point, but at least I'll come back here to Eatalio.

A generous selection of Italian dishes. They offer pizza, pasta, burgers, fish, seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes. The antipasti were varied and excellent. The main courses were also delicious and varied. The service was very good and friendly. The price is quite high at €36.90 per person (March 2025). Children under 12 eat less here.

The ambience exudes a charming touch of Italy, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. In terms of taste, the food was solid, but unfortunately the selection was very limited for the price I had to pay - especially for me as a fan of vegan dishes. Most of the pasta variations had meat, which to be honest disappointed me. I would have liked there to be at least simple alternatives like penne with tomato sauce or cheese cream sauce. A real highlight, however, were the truffle pasta🍝 — they were really delicious and the portion was absolutely appropriate Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired. For that price, I might even have gotten a flat rate for drinks in other restaurants. All in all, it was an expensive experience, especially for a Friday evening.

We were four adults and two children. The buffet was plentiful – a large selection, even for vegetarians, so we couldn't try everything. We were there on a Friday evening, and they also offered steak! It's also very suitable for parties (e.g., Christmas)!

We were quickly assigned a place, probably only because we had reserved. The first round of drinks were served quickly. It is a very loud and hectic atmosphere, some guests stretched so much that they were lying with their arms on the table with us. When the buffet has been refilled, you are almost run over by the staff and their trolleys. The second round of drinks took ages to arrive as there was no staff available. Most of the dishes only tasted like garlic or were swimming in a cream sauce. For the fact that this restaurant was so advertised, it was a pure disappointment. Apart from the fact that at €60 per person with a drink it is very expensive for the quality offered.

There is actually a good intention behind it! You can tell that they are making an effort in terms of food technology, exceptional, sometimes high-quality food is offered here in buffet form! The price is debatable! Children up to 12 half price over €18...well, what's a 13, 14, 15 year old more? Furthermore, in my opinion €36 (over 12) is slightly to moderately excessive, although a 0.5 hövels costs over €5! Furthermore, I found it unfriendly to completely block the parking lot directly in front of the door and to distribute guests to surrounding parking spaces without being informed! Anyone can expect an 8-minute walk, but this should be pointed out on the website in advance! When we were led to our table, there was another 2 minute walk and countless stairs and meters of elevation, so that when you climbed to your seat you were already wondering how you were ever going to get your food from the buffet below warm to your table! Below ok, above borderline reasonable in my opinion! Everything was delicious and fresh and obviously prepared with a lot of dedication. Ultimately, I would eat there again, but that said, it requires a little more sensitivity!

The store is large, but unfortunately far too crowded. When we were there we had to wait about 30 minutes for our drink order - that's just too long. The atmosphere also seemed hectic and it seemed as if the chefs had little desire to work. The shrimp counter was particularly disappointing: you are served directly by the chefs, but you only get 4-5 small shrimps. When you ask for more, you get the feeling that the chefs don't like it. That doesn't seem very inviting. Another problem is the layout of the tables: If you sit at the back and get food from the buffet, you have to expect that it will already be cold by the time you get back to your seat. The plates are also very small, which means you have to constantly get up and catch up. All in all, Eatalio Dortmund is perhaps something for people who like to eat in crowded restaurants and have patience. But for us it was more of a stressful experience. That's why I only give it 2 stars.

We went to eatalion for the first time today based on a recommendation. We were thrilled by the variety and, above all, the taste of the food. Not only can you recommend it, you have to experience it once. Yes! That's right. You don't have to. But then you're missing out on a real treat. We are not gourmet freaks and just eat what tastes good. But being so enthusiastic about so many of the dishes we tried surprised even us. You should try a small portion of all the dishes, but then we have to and will come to eatalio three more times, the dishes are so varied. Of the 15 to 20 different dishes (bites) that we enjoyed, there wasn't one that we weren't thrilled with. Chapeau eatalio. Quality and great culinary art count here. And not to forget the very relaxed and friendly staff. We call this experience gastronomy. Thank you eatalio and see you soon.

You can get better Italian food elsewhere. Lots of choice, unfortunately more quantity than quality. The acoustics are also more like a canteen. None of the dishes on offer were able to convince me 100% in terms of taste. However, the service staff is very nice and accommodating.
