The best Chinese restaurant I know. It was our anniversary today and we went here for dinner, something we do regularly. Today we had Peking duck, and it was fantastic. The table was lovingly prepared for us. The food is prepared with love here anyway. Always book early, otherwise you won't get a table. Thanks for the lovely evening and the great food.
Best wishes from Christian and Jessi
Many thanks again to the super lovely staff who saved my evening!
Personally, the vegan dumplings were far too spicy for me and when I asked if all of the dumplings (there are 5 different types in the vegan menu) were that spicy, the staff immediately offered to bring non-spicy alternatives instead, at no additional charge.
Hence the point that the spiciness levels of the dishes are unfortunately not yet noted on the menu. My companion, who is less sensitive to spiciness, also found the meat dumplings a bit spicy and the vegan ones very spicy (which may have been due to the kimchi).
Nevertheless, the food was very tasty! We would particularly recommend the gyozas!
Hai Xian is truly a wonderful place for anyone who appreciates authentic Chinese cuisine. The interior design is very reminiscent of restaurants in China - lovingly designed and with an atmosphere that immediately creates a feeling of the Far East.
The service is also authentically Chinese, friendly and pleasantly reserved. What's particularly nice is that everyone can feel at home here: those who like to try out new culinary things will find a large selection of traditional dishes, and classic dishes such as sweet and sour are also on the menu - something that many Chinese themselves also like to eat.
It's just nice to have such authentic Asian cuisine in Düsseldorf. A place where you always enjoy coming back - be it for a relaxed lunch or an enjoyable evening with friends.
I was there for the first time today. The gentleman who served me was very friendly. I liked the food. All in all it was fine. I would love to come back.
I think it's a shame that I have to pay €10.50 for "beef with onions" even though it should actually be called "onions with a bit of beef". Ordered to pick up yesterday, preparation was super quick, food was delicious as always. However, as described above, I had almost exclusively onions on my plate and maybe 5 pieces of beef. Therefore deducting a few stars.
Authentic and good Asian cuisine! We mostly come for the dumplings and ramen and have never been disappointed. The drinks and desserts also leave nothing to be desired.
