We just ate there, the sushi was great, but then we ordered our own food, and the noodles were completely burnt and hard. Inedible. We left it and, even though it was their fault, had to pay an extra €2. €78.50. Never again, an absolute rip-off.

The staff and the food were perfect, Mr. Sami was very friendly and helpful, thank you very much.

The ambiance was partly nice and clean, but somewhat bare and uninviting. There was no Christmas decoration, no Chinese decoration, yet Christmas music was playing – odd. Parts of the buffet were very poor; the sushi rice was too hard and tasteless, and some of the fresh food in the cooking area was spoiled. I stopped eating and didn't look any further. Paying for something like that is unacceptable. At least the manager acknowledged it, but she didn't investigate further. A shame. The service was okay.

There were lots of delicious options if you like Asian food. Even those who don't usually eat much won't leave hungry. The sushi wasn't very appealing. There was plenty of space. Nicely and modernly furnished.

The selection of flavors is exceptional, the food is constantly replenished, and it's all very tasty and beautifully presented. The service is fast, helpful, friendly, and blessed with a good sense of humor (the staff are quite sensitive 😂). Despite its size, it's a pleasant place to be. We were truly delighted with our visit.

The worst all-you-can-eat restaurant I've ever been to. I don't understand where all the 5-star reviews come from. No matter which dish you try, it tastes awful. The food is either dry, undercooked, or overcooked.

Upon arrival, you'll be well-served, even if you don't have a reservation. Unfortunately, the food, as you'd expect from an all-you-can-eat restaurant, wasn't always consistent. Here, the extensive buffet menu lacked some knowledge and flavor. In the Netherlands, we're used to different flavors, but in Germany, it's a different story. Hence the 3 stars. The chefs aren't Asian either... not that it necessarily matters, but I do miss that knowledge and flavors. Like the extra garlic flavor and salt, and the sweetness in the buffet dishes. The best part was having your food wok-fried. The flavors of the wok were good and delicious. You place a plate on the bar with a clip of your table number, and then place a stick on it with the sauce flavors you want. Sauces are sorted from 1 to 6, indicating which sauce number best suits your dish. When your meal is ready, it will be brought to your table. That was really nice, fantastic! Drinks are paid for separately. It was nice to experience it once. Unfortunately, I won't be repeating it. Unless something is done about the taste and quality of the rice, the noodles, and the sushi, which were dry.

Christmas time at Centro is not a good time for Xiaomi. Traffic chaos and congestion after a simple and convenient online booking. Was that already the first bad start? But I want to review the restaurant, not the surroundings. Finding a parking spot was extremely difficult. After about 15 minutes, I finally managed to snag one. My family was already at the table, and since the restaurant is so huge, I asked at reception which way to go. The answer I got was: "I can't tell you, you'll have to find out yourself." -> What's the point of having someone at reception? And what's the point of electronic reservations? Furthermore, there should be someone at reception who is much more friendly. Then I waited about 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken. After they arrived, the first funny thing happened: they only have glass straws, which is actually a good thing. However, these have to be purchased for €0.50 each. If we go back, we'll bring our own straws from home. The food was somewhat better than on our last visit, but it was still cold in many places, and there was often no meat in the serving dishes. Even after asking about it, this didn't improve. Dessert was plentiful and, as always, excellent. It shouldn't be called Chinese all-you-can-eat, but rather all-you-can-eat dessert. All in all, the visit was a little better than last time. Nevertheless, we had to wait almost until the very end for a friendly server who cleared our table. It's a real shame for such a great restaurant that the service, the food, and the hospitality simply don't live up to expectations for such a prominent establishment.

We often come here and happily travel 60km to do so. Today, the food wasn't as good as usual. For the first time, we had to send back full plates. The meat—we're talking about several different chicken dishes, but especially the beef and onion—was simply dry and inedible. We usually love this dish: juicy beef in a delicious sauce! This time, the pieces were far too small (mini) and simply tough. The attentive server followed up, apologized, and immediately passed on our feedback. Contrary to our expectations, the manager approached us directly. We were very pleasantly surprised by how seriously our criticism was taken. All the issues raised were promptly addressed, the food was removed, and the dishes were prepared again. We hope to enjoy the delicious food we've come to expect in the future. Thank you to the staff. The service was respectful and courteous.

XIAO impresses with its wide selection: The "All You Can Eat" buffet offers a broad range of Asian dishes—from stir-fries and sushi to desserts—and many guests praise the value for money, especially when you're really hungry. The interior is modern and spacious, ideal for groups or families, and there are also children's prices, making XIAO suitable for families. However, many guests report significant shortcomings: It's frequently criticized that food is lukewarm or rarely replenished—especially late at night or when the restaurant is busy—and that meat and stir-fries are sometimes overcooked or dry. In addition, the large, open space can be noisy, making the atmosphere less than cozy. My conclusion: XIAO can be a good choice if you want to eat with friends or family in a relaxed setting and are very hungry—and don't place too much importance on a fine restaurant atmosphere. For a quiet, high-quality meal, however, I would probably choose a different restaurant.

We really enjoy going to Xiao's whenever we're in the area. We've always been satisfied so far. Unfortunately, this time we were very disappointed. The waitress, a young dark-haired woman, seemed constantly annoyed and stressed, and the atmosphere among the staff also seemed strained. Some of the fried dishes were burnt and undercooked. We hope to be able to visit Xiao's again next time, the way we know and love it.

The sushi is hard, not fresh, and the ingredients are cheap! The food is dry and the quality is cheap. You have to pay for drinks separately afterward. The only advantage is that you get served at your table for your drinks. I can't believe it's so busy here... while the quality is a disgrace!

It's really beautiful there, lots of choice, tons of seats, yet still cozy, if you can say that about a place of that size. Anyone who has anything to complain about there only has themselves to blame.

Most of the food was very cold. The selection was good, but it was clear that the dishes had been sitting out for a while and some had even developed a skin. When we paid by card, we didn't add a tip; the waiter's comment was unprofessional and could have been avoided. The way he phrased it was unprofessional; please provide this waiter with further training.

Yesterday was my first time there. The ambiance was very stylishly furnished, I really liked it, not as boring as you usually find at Chinese restaurants (okay, it is Asian). I thought it was really great. The food was very varied and really delicious. The service was excellent. It's a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it. Okay, it was very crowded, and therefore a bit noisy, but still okay. The only thing I might criticize is the labeling of the dishes to indicate whether they were spicy and how spicy they were. Perhaps with one or more pictures of chili peppers on them. It was fine for me, but it might be difficult for those who don't like spicy food. Not everything is spicy, just one or two dishes, and I didn't see anything spicy on those. The parking lot is directly opposite Hornbach. I didn't know that and searched around for a while trying to find a parking space. Signage would have been great. Conclusion: We'll definitely be back. ⭐ 1 out of 5 stars Our visit was unfortunately disappointing overall. Some of the dishes didn't taste quite fresh, and parts of the food tasted stale to me. The hot dishes at the buffet were already cold, which further worsened the overall impression. The sushi selection was also underwhelming – some of it even tasted better from a supermarket. The dessert continued the negative impression: the chocolate cake was dry and crumbly and didn't taste fresh at all. Another negative point was that the waitress seemed very rude. I also found the way they charged meticulously for leftover food to be rather unfriendly. Personally, I had a stomach ache the next morning – I can't say for sure if it was from the food, but it further detracted from my overall impression. All in all, unfortunately, not a restaurant I can recommend.

I've been a regular at Xiao Oberhausen for quite some time now, as they generally offer good food and delicious drinks. The service is always friendly and attentive, which makes the experience pleasant. However, I've noticed a significant decline in the food quality over the past year. Some dishes no longer taste as fresh or carefully prepared as they used to, which is a real shame – especially since the restaurant was once a true highlight in Oberhausen. In addition, the prices have been increased, which I unfortunately don't find justified in its current form, as the price-to-quality ratio is no longer as balanced as it once was. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with good service, but the cuisine needs to return to its former quality to truly justify the higher prices.

We ate here and didn't leave a tip. We were then persistently asked for a tip, the server became unfriendly, and I politely explained that it was a business lunch and I wasn't allowed to leave a tip, but I needed the receipt. The waiter was so angry that he crumpled up the receipt and threw it on the table. I find that unacceptable. If you're not allowed to leave a tip, you shouldn't feel the need to treat me, as a customer, like that. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't see it that way. When we went to the parking lot, we discovered that our car was completely blocked in. So we went back to XIAO. There, I asked if they could make an announcement. The answer was: "No, the parking lot where you parked isn't ours." My response: "But I'm your customer!" Unfortunately, there was no service again. I was completely on my own and had to call the police. If we go to XIAO again, it won't be the one in Oberhausen.

We usually enjoy going to buffet restaurants because it's quick and easy. However, we were very surprised here. We've never experienced such a wide selection and such high quality. The bar has definitely been raised here. Okay, you might recognize most of the dishes, but here every single one truly has its own character. No generic seasoning, but rather carefully balanced flavors. The staff is consistently friendly, and you can tell there's a great team spirit. The entire restaurant is exceptionally clean. Even though it was quite busy, there was a relaxed atmosphere. So, from our perspective, it's an absolute gem, well worth the drive.

The price-performance ratio is okay. The ambiance was very clean, I personally found it nicely and modernly furnished, and the service was friendly. The food was generally okay, although I think there was room for improvement, especially with the Asian "classics" like fried noodles or rice. I found the sushi very weak and bland. The grilled food was a bit better. So, it's an option, but there are more authentic buffets.

I ate at XIAO on a Monday evening, from about 5 to 7 pm. The all-you-can-eat concept is very reminiscent of Mongolian restaurants, where you select your own ingredients and hand them over. Of course, the selection isn't as extensive, but the principle is similar, just at a different price. The overall selection is very large, but the food didn't impress me. The sushi was rather average, and there are definitely better quality options available. As for drinks, I was disappointed by the very limited wine selection. The menu isn't well-written; it doesn't even specify whether a wine is dry or semi-dry. I had to wait about ten minutes before I was even acknowledged and could order. It's certainly nice if you just want to fill up, but the quality wasn't up to par for me. I wouldn't go back.

Xiao is an impressively large all-you-can-eat restaurant with a huge selection of dishes. The premises are modern and very spacious, so there's plenty of room even during peak hours. A particularly convenient feature is the ample parking directly in front of the restaurant. The buffet offers a wide variety of food, from sushi and hot dishes to desserts—all fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and ensure a pleasant visit. Highly recommended for families, groups, or simply a relaxing evening.

We wouldn't go back to Xiao for brunch or breakfast. The actual breakfast buffet is very limited: baguettes, one type of dark bread, croissants. The selection of cold cuts and cheeses is very small, and there's pre-packaged tea sausage and liverwurst, as well as jam in plastic containers. If you enjoy Asian food for breakfast, this is a good place for you. Except for the glazed salmon, the buffet looked exactly the same as in the evening. Instead of live cooking stations for meat and vegetables, there were egg dishes, which took a very long time to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full. Great in the evening / flop at brunch

I had a stomach ache and nausea all night after visiting. The food was so-so, the plates were dirty, the cutlery was sticky. The cola was expensive, and it came in a dirty glass. It was terribly stuffy, and there were flies flying around. I definitely don't recommend coming to this establishment.

The drinks were far too expensive and didn't taste good. There were an extremely large number of people, the atmosphere was too loud and barely enjoyable. The barbecue was nothing special.

Always been enthusiastic about this place, but today we had no chance of even getting in. We reserved seats, but there was no way to use a parking space... Utter chaos. Terrible conditions. The adjacent parking lot was completely rutted and flooded. The competition around Xiao has implemented a valet parking service for its customers, at least offering the option to eat there. We ended up canceling online from the car, right in front of the door, and that was that. I just don't understand it... These skills will also determine whether they survive or fail... What a shame.

All the fresh plates were slightly smeared, some with food residue. The manager was uncooperative and unfriendly. Not recommended.

The food was very high quality; I don't think I tasted any MSG, and everything was fresh. We were served very nicely by Heider. The other staff members also seemed very friendly. Personally, I found the location too loud; it was modern, but the decor felt too cold. The buffet layout was a bit cramped for so many people. The music was okay, but in my opinion, it didn't suit the atmosphere.

We had Mr. Heider as a condition; he was incredibly nice and always made two or three jokes. Absolutely fantastic!

Our visit on November 7th, between approximately 5 and 7 pm, was unfortunately disappointing. The food didn't seem fresh in any of the dishes and was consistently dry. No matter what we ordered, it lacked the quality one would expect in a restaurant. Things got unpleasant when we went to pay. An older employee, who was training a new colleague, brought us the card reader. The display only offered the option of choosing between different tip amounts or "no tip." When I selected "no tip," he commented, "Yes, of course, no tip." When we asked what he meant by that, he reacted irritably, simply said "whatever," and walked away. His tone was very rude. Overall, the visit was disappointing, both in terms of the food and the service. We would not be returning.

Given its size, I was skeptical before my first visit whether Xiao could offer a pleasant atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything here is just right.

We ate at the restaurant today. The staff was (as always) very friendly. Unfortunately, almost all the plates at the buffet were poorly washed and some were stuck together due to food residue. After we pointed this out to the staff, the plates were cleaned. Nevertheless, I don't think this should happen in a restaurant. We probably won't be eating there again.

I found the buffet somewhat unappetizing, as the duck, nuggets, and fries were unfortunately dried out. However, the good thing was that they also had salmon. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any sirum (from the Mongolian grill). I paid €27.90 for the evening. The service was otherwise friendly. Xiao is an Asian restaurant, and I was disappointed that there were no Asian waiters or staff working there, only Turkish and German employees. P.S.: I have nothing against the staff there. It just feels culturally incongruous that an Asian Xiao restaurant doesn't employ any Asians. 😕
