In terms of location, this would actually be the best beer garden in Augsburg. Unfortunately, there isn't much on offer in terms of quality. The so-called Aperol Spritz is mixed using an original Aperol bottle. But it tastes like a juice and champagne spritz. That's pretty bold. I hope for new tenants or a rethinking of the existing tenants.
The food is tasteless, like pre-packaged food (schnitzel, baked potatoes, and salad) that's been hastily prepared. Far too expensive for such cheap dishes. The staff is nice and friendly. Also, the terrace tables aren't wiped clean.
We popped in on a bike ride on Sunday around 4 p.m. The location is in a great location in the forest, the buildings from the outside have a lot of flair. It was sunny and the large chestnut trees in the beer garden next to the playground were in full bloom, as were the hawthorns. There were many families with children there who could run around and race around in vehicles to their hearts' content. We queued for about 10 minutes for drinks and food and after another 10-15 minutes we were able to get the food. The vegan burger was very rich and tasted delicious! The Nuremberg bratwursts (6 on cabbage) were also ok. You don't expect haute cuisine in a beer garden! Anyone who thinks it takes too long and is too expensive should remember that the costs for such a huge beer garden with endless seats are also very high, and there are far too few staff (they are constantly needed). We were very satisfied with the ambience and the food and will definitely come back in the summer! In the party area (entrance fee applies) there is a large stage with good acoustics. There was a DJ playing Kizomba (!!) and there were a lot of people dancing. Later there was a great flamenco show.
Inedible cheese spaetzle that was completely drowned in oil. The saleswoman looked like someone had died and didn't speak, smile or make any other attempt to show normal human politeness during the entire ordering process.
But the shop is beautifully decorated.
All in all, not a great experience, even by folk festival standards. Not recommended and definitely my last visit.
Incredibly unfriendly staff………you are ignored even though you have reserved a table………the bad thing is that there was nothing going on………they left after a drink
Location is absolutely a 5 Star! I really hope the owners get this place up and running again. What a great area to come to explore, hike around, play around with the kids. Bike trails activities etc. Just awesome! Now it's dying away.....
Of course many years ago:+((. Really hope it picks back up after a couple of renovations.
