We were here two days in a row.
Just the right restaurant for us.
Good bourgeois, no frills. Cozy and delicious...dogs welcome = perfect!!
When we are in the area again we will come back: promise
We were there on May 1st. It was said that there would be grilled food, also in a roll (it wasn't available) and salad from 12 p.m. We were there at 12 and the grill wasn't even set up. We had to put up the umbrellas ourselves otherwise we would have been exposed to the sun, while the refrigerator was being set up. Well, around 1 p.m. the first piece of meat was on the grill. You could also put salad on the inside of your plate using a plastic bucket and 3 bowls. There was meat but no cutlery. We had to ask three times. After we had that and the meat was cold. We were able to eat the semi-raw meat with salad for around €15. For the price and quality, it's really a disgrace! Been there for the first and last time.
Oh yes, we only had something to drink once, we were no longer asked if we wanted something. We then went to another pub for a drink.
Unfortunately, the Torfwerk restaurant is only open Friday to Sunday, but it is definitely worth a visit. The menu is different than the typical ones here in the region. We had wild garlic dumplings with salad (without cream sauce) and zander with asparagus. The pike perch was nicely fried on the skin.
