Craziness! Well, that had to come first :D We were here in the fall for a special 10-course menu in collaboration with “Hawara” from Freiburg. So of course we had a lot of time and were very excited :) We had an incredibly great evening with lots of new culinary highlights. For each course, one of the chefs came to each table and explained something about the dish or the respective wine, the origin of the ingredients, the preparation and so on - that was super interesting! Our companion was also able to receive a vegetarian version of the menu without any problems. These were actually always completely different dishes that were in no way inferior to the “normal” dishes, and a lot of effort had been put into this too! By the way, also with the alcohol-free alternatives! The dishes were all extremely tasty! I had almost never eaten any of it before in my life and probably wouldn't have ordered it that way, but every dish was really delicious (and beautifully presented, too!). In the end we had 13 or 14 courses, including a delicious cheese plate and a dessert at the end. After the official menu, we sat together with 1-2 delicious glasses of wine and a delicious schnapps. Price/performance ratio is really great here if you know and appreciate the fine cuisine. We'll be happy to come back, thank you for the lovely evening!

Very tasty, I can only recommend it

Wir sind über Karneval nach Koblenz geflüchtet. Wir lieben Tapas und ebenfalls einen leckeren Wein. Im Internet wurden wir fündig und reservierten telefonisch. Schon der Telefonkontakt war sehr positiv. Als wir um 18:30 Uhr ankamen, war es noch recht leer, unser Tisch war reserviert. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und fingen an, uns durch die Tapaskarte zu „arbeiten“. Auf die Empfehlung, die gemischte Tapasplatte zu nehmen, gingen wir ein. Wir nannten, was wir nicht mögen und erhielten unsere ganz persönliche Genussplatte. Die Weinauswahl ist groß, die Preise sehr moderat. Wir waren überfordert und baten um Hilfe. Es folgte die Empfehlung zu einem Wein, der es noch nicht auf die Karte geschafft hatte, probierten ihn - Volltreffer. Eine Flasche wanderte auf unseren Tisch. Auch dieser Wein zu einem absolut fairen Preis. Sowohl die Tapas als auch der Wein verdienen 5 Sterne. Luis und sein Team ebenfalls. Wir kamen als Touristen und fühlten uns aufgenommen wie Stammgäste. Wer Tapas und Wein mag, sich einen gelungenen Abend wünscht, sollte bei Luis reservieren. Somit sind wir auch schuld, dass Luis nun hier auf TripAdvisor ist.

This, is truly what a family business is like. The name KONG, comes from the owners boxing tag. The owner is a boxer, and his aunt is a waitress here. Just a happy family serving incredible food. We ordered 3 things for two people, a Salad with beef strips, Steak, and a Hamburger. The meat was grilled to perfection and we absolutely loved the marinated flavor. Their menu options are now limited because they are unfortunately closing down and moving which is a shame, but they shared their experience. The owner described the conditions of leasing a building here, €4-5k euros a month. I am seriously hoping they move to a better environment because their food is incredible. A little hard to find, but if you enter through a narrow road with a building by your side, you’re in. Bless this family’s heart.

The service was very nice and the bowl was really tasty even without toppings. However, for €11.90 I would have expected more than this measly portion. I understand that everything is becoming more expensive, etc. But here the price and quantity are in the worst ratio that I have ever experienced.

Mega juicy smash burgers, delicious fries, super sweet donuts. All around great.
