I would have been really looking forward to the opening and would eat there at least once or twice a week.
Now a coffee shop is coming in that will probably last a maximum of 4-5 months.
Were there for the second time today. Was perfect again. From the starter to the dessert, it's simply delicious. The first time we ate burgers, today we had noodles, super tasty.
A surprising stroke of luck in Düren.
I wouldn't have expected such authentic Syrian/Arabic cuisine here.
The shawarma are very tasty. The portion is a bit smaller (more of a snack than a main meal), but absolutely reasonable for the price.
The Biriyani, a rice dish, is well seasoned and the chicken in it is of good quality.
Fatteh is an Arabic salad consisting of fried bread and chickpeas in yogurt sauce. The combination may be a little unusual for German tastes, but very tasty if eaten fresh before the bread gets too soggy.
The kibbeh are not dried out, as is often the case, and are also filled.
Of course you can also find tabbouleh and hummus, as well as what is definitely the best falafel in all of Düren.
If you go out to eat with someone who doesn't want to get involved in unfamiliar tastes, there are still the usual burgers, chicken and fries. However, I can't say anything about them because I haven't tried them.
Overall, a real insider tip and I hope that a restaurant like this can survive in Düren. The staff are very friendly and strive to fulfill the guests' wishes.
