As a couple, we were motivated to eat at this restaurant by the many good reviews here.
First the positive things: there is a nice view of the harbor, the service is okay and the beer is delicious.
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food and cannot recommend it. The very thick breading of the Jägerschnitzel was so salty that we could only eat it by removing it. The fried potatoes were very thick, cut and unfortunately not very roasted.
Overall, the ambience is not that nice, as the seventies-style furnishings are not very appealing. A renovation would certainly help.
Lovely stall run by a super friendly guy. As a South African, I can recommend if you want some lunch when heading to the Metro :)
We had the smashburgers and they were delish.
Traditional German place, ideal for tasting typical local dishes, such as currywurst pommes. Good price, generous portions..., but PAYMENT ONLY IN CASH!!!
Even if you visit again, an “intermediate invoice” will be presented when paying. “NO BILL!”
Decent invoice for triple (!) demand.
Despite the good food, this behavior is more than suspicious.
I only went there because the braised pork looked great but apparently they rotate their menu from time to time. So it wasn't on the menu.
So i settled for a sausage and their signature fish soup with all of their mini desserts.
Fish soup: very unique and flavorful very good combination with the paste and bread.
Sausage: Nothing ordinary, the sauce was kinda sweet not to taste.
Dessert: presentation was good, looked pretty. Taste wise it was very ordinary.
Service: Servers are very attentive, but kinda rushed, always on edge, bit quirky, didn't feel very comfortable.
All that took around 45€ and it was cheap because sausage was the most cheap one. For one time experience I'd say okayish. But not really up to expectations.
