Absolutely unique in Munich! I discovered this American diner while searching for a special location for my birthday dinner and have been absolutely thrilled since my first visit, becoming a loyal regular. The ambiance, the food, the very friendly and attentive service—everything is absolutely first-class. Since the restaurant owner is actually from the USA, everything is authentically designed. The interior design, the menu selection, the staff's uniforms—everything is very harmonious and just as you would expect. A small but fine restaurant in the heart of the city that's unique in Munich. I strongly recommend making a reservation in advance and recommend trying both the pulled pork roll and the milkshakes!
In any case, I give it a definite 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a recommendation! 🙂👍🏼
We arrived at 11:30 AM when the place opened on our motorcycle. There's a motorcycle parking space directly across from the garden. The staff was typically Greek: very friendly and accommodating. The food (fried pepperoni as a starter and gyros with pita for the main course) was very good, and the prices were average. The garden is shady and the seating is very pleasant. The prices are fair.
When we're back in Deggendorf, we'll definitely come back!
Somebody needs to visit Greece.
The gyros comes by default with a trapezoidal pyramid of rice mixed with what is describable as homemade ketchup as well as peas. Having had multiple vacations in Greece, not one tavern ever offered gyros with rice or had it covered in a large stack of red onions. The meat itself was quite alright, so was the tzatziki, however positioning it onto a leaf of salad is a very peculiar decision. The appetizers came with no spreads or butter, an another normal custom in Greek taverns. What's even more peculiar is that the more authentic variation is listed as a jids' menu item.
On the other hand, the styling of the restaurant is quite nice, it is clean and the staff are nice.
Service is very poor and slow. We waited almost 30 minutes for drinks, and another hour for our food order. There were eight of us, and the first dishes that came were already eaten by the time the last one got theirs. Our starter plates weren't picked up, even after we asked. Ordering more drinks was almost impossible. And I have to say the restaurant was only about 60-70% full; I don't want to know if it's really busy. The only good thing is that everyone enjoyed the food.
The confirmation celebration in the wine cellar went very well.. super pleasant staff and the boss without any complaints.. very kind.. the food was excellent.. recommendations for every occasion.. all five!!
Einfach nur top! Das Essen und der Service war super, sehr gute Auswahl an Essen, nettes Personal und nette Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen.
Immer wieder wenn man in Würzburg ist!
The employee vehemently and not particularly friendly claims that half a sandwich (15 cm) only contains half a veggie patty (i.e., 7.5 cm). This is either an unacceptable cost-cutting measure by the location or inadequate training.
Addendum to the operator's response: No, the location is correct—the purchase was made a few days ago.
A nice restaurant with friendly staff. The food is good and varied.
In the summer, you can eat outside. It's especially worth mentioning that you can also have breakfast here.
We went to the Alter Wirt for a family reunion today, and the Alter Wirt schnitzel is simply amazing. My wife had the Käsespätzle, which were also simply fantastic.
Afterward, the affogato simply can't be topped.
Anytime again!!!
Best regards, Franz
