Wirtshaus zur Wurz'n in Vilshofen an der Donau

Sehr gut, ich habe gerade nachgeschaut, was andere hatten, und ich muss sagen, es sah sehr gut aus, daher sollte man es bei unserem nächsten Besuch in der Gegend wieder in die Hand nehmen.

Uriges Lokal. Mit sehr guter Küche. Sehr schöne Terrasse. Prima Sülze an heißen Tagen. Passt alles.👍

Sehr unfreundliche weibliche Bedienung. Bereits bei Ankunft wurde uns ein Sitzplatz bei Sonnenschein draußen verweigert weil der Tisch abgeputzt hätte werden müssen. Draußen waren jedoch bereits zwei Tische besetzt. Nach Aussage der Bedienung hätten wir nur drinnen sitzen dürfen. Absolut unverständlich... Umsatz scheint nicht wichtig zu sein, dabei waren wir eine Gruppe von 8 Personen.

Wir waren heute spontan nach dem Besuch im Tierpark im Gasthaus zur Wurz’n bevor wir unsere Rückfahrt nach Bonn angetreten haben! Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, und die Kellnerinnen waren beide überaus freundlich und super lieb! Das Essen hat vorzüglich geschmeckt, und die Portionen waren reichlich! Wenn es uns wieder einmal in dieser Gegend verschlägt, werden wir sicherlich wiederkommen! Noch einmal ganz herzlichen Dank und herzliche Grüße aus Bonn! 🩷

Positiv überrascht, dass wir einen Platz ergattern konnten und sehr schnell und nett bedient worden. Die Wurzn ist nach der damaligen Übernahme vom Wurzn Schoss urig geblieben. Das Essen war trotz einiger Gäste nach einer kurzen Wartezeit schnell da und sehr gut. Unsere Empfehlung gibt es!

Wir waren zum Geburtstag dort und hatten vorab reserviert. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das junge, engagierte Team – aufmerksam, höflich und wirklich zuvorkommend. So einen Service erlebt man selten. Wir hatten Beilagensalate, zwei Rinderleberspätzlesuppen (selbstgemacht und ausgezeichnet) und verschiedene Hauptgerichte. Mein Zwiebelrostbraten war geschmacklich top, auch die anderen Gerichte waren durchweg sehr gut. Zum Abschluss gab es Kaiserschmarrn – laut Karte ca. 30 Minuten, bei uns etwa 20 Minuten Wartezeit. Frisch gemacht und absolut das Warten wert. Wir saßen in der urigen Stube, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Im Laufe des Abends wurde es gut voll – Reservierung am Wochenende ist empfehlenswert. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch draußen sitzen. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Besuch: Top Service und starke Küche. Wir kommen gerne wieder – klare Empfehlung!

Das essen war sehr lecker und kam auch zügig.Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.Preislich top. Die Musik war zu viel und eher störend. Man konnte sich kaum unterhalten. Parkmöglichkeiten eher schwierig.

Gutes Essen, freundlicher Service!

Das Ambiente des Wirtshauses in dem historischen Gewölbe, eingerichtet mit Antiquitäten, dürfte ziemlich einzigartig sein. Wirtin und Service sind freundlich und flott, die Küche bodenständig und gut. Die Wurz'n ist ggf auch eine weitere Anreise wert, ob im Sommer mit der Sonnenterrasse oder das ganze Jahr mit den ungemütlichen Gasträumen.

Ein uriges, rustikales und sehr gemütliches Lokal. Gute Lage mit vielen Parkplätzen. War vor vielen Jahren schon hier. Das Personal ist super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen hat allen sehr geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 😊

Bayerisch urig, das ist die Wurz'n. Hervorragendes Essen, egal ob Schnitzel, Lachs mit Bandnudeln oder a Schweinebraten... immer alles TOP!

Wir wollten am Sonntag hier essen. Aber um halb zwei gab es keine warme Küche mehr. Schade wir mussten weiter ziehen.

Reheated roast pork was a complete disgrace. Not even the beer was at the right temperature.

We were able to sit down without a reservation and eat there for two. The food was at the perfect temperature and tasted fantastic. The service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, they didn't have Kaiserschmarrn, but next time we'll definitely have it. Looking forward to the next time♡

It's rare that you can give it 5 stars without reservation. The ambiance is truly beautiful and cozy. The terrace is also a wonderful place to sit. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and they also accommodate special requests. At first, I thought the prices were reasonable. When we got our food, it quickly became clear: top quality, very well prepared, delicious, and nicely served. Absolutely top-notch value for money! We'd love to come back!

Price/performance OK. The schnitzel seemed to me like it was either a ready-made meal or they forgot to beat it. I wouldn't order it again. Service was very friendly.

We were here a month ago for our 25th class reunion. We were very pleased! It's an excellent venue for an all-evening event.

The food was simply delicious and typically Bavarian. Just what we wanted. When a group of young men started singing Bavarian songs, accompanied by the accordion, I had to hold back a tear. It was like home and childhood memories. Thank you for the wonderful evening here with you! We'll be back. The service is also top-notch – on the ball and on top of everything! Keep it up!

A perfect evening. A charming waitress in dirndls served us excellently and very professionally. The food was not only plentiful but also very, very delicious. The price/performance ratio and the ambiance are highly recommended. The restaurant is so good! You should definitely make a reservation. I go to restaurants a lot for work. We drove all the way from Passau to Vilshofen today to Wurz'n, and we were not disappointed. The pork loin with mushrooms and ice cream was a dream. The starter was a champignon salad, a perfect complement to the hearty main course. The staff was super friendly. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with love and skill. We'll be back. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the fresh roast pork was reheated, the crust was flabby, and the meat was stringy and dry. Simply disappointing. On the plus side, we came to a satisfactory agreement with the waitress. The schnitzel was OK.

We had dinner there with a large group. The service was very rude when our one-year-old son briefly got in the way. We won't be going there again.

Very unfriendly service... the food was cold and completely over-salted... unbelievable!!!

We wanted to eat today after our bike ride, but the blonde waitress was very unfriendly and seemed overwhelmed. She sent us away even though there was a small table for two available. Apparently, cyclists aren't welcome at Wurz'n.

Highly recommended. My river cruise was docked nearby and it was just a 15 minute walk across the bridge. Reservations are recommended but my party of two was seated on a drizzly Sunday at 12:30. There was one English speaking server who was very nice. The food was great and the atmosphere was rustic. They don’t take themselves too seriously. They accept credit cards.

You are simply the best in the whole area, that's the way it is, we and I often go out to eat or try to find out where it's good, but good food (and with you everything was just perfect, no matter whether it was the meat, the spaetzle, the potatoes or the sauce, you also have an extremely good roast pork 😜) has become difficult to find. The food is excellent overall. The schnitzel, meat, and bread dumplings are especially good. Only the vegetarian lasagna was a bit monotonous. The staff is very friendly, cheerful, relaxed, and hard-working. The interior, the decor, and the atmosphere are very pleasantly rustic. However, the vaulted ceiling makes some seats so loud that it's difficult to have a conversation. The overall atmosphere is quite loud.

Today we came from Neumarkt i.d.Opf. on the way to Bad Griesbach. We then had lunch in Vilshofen at the Gasthaus zur Wurzn (with prior reservation, very nice lady on the phone). We had roast pork twice with coleslaw, the finest. The service was extremely friendly and we felt very comfortable. We can only recommend this inn

Outrage: My friend had booked a table to invite me to my birthday. Today a Wahts app came, he should please call back. He was then informed that the reserved table was not free for us. We cheekily gave it to someone else, even though we were told when we made the reservation that something would be available on that particular day! This is not how you treat paying guests. An inn like this can easily go down the drain. Thank God you are welcome in other inns. Unfortunately I had to give one star, but that's still too much. And we can't rate anything else, we didn't have a chance.

Gasthof Zur Wurz'n in Vilshofen on the Danube. Wonderful restaurant with good home-style cuisine and a very special ambience. The food is highly recommended.

Ambiance if you like it, service is sometimes friendly, food in my opinion has a lot of ready-made dishes.

The duck is a true art! For dessert, tiramisu made from quark is exceptional and very tasty! We are thrilled!

What a great quaint pub. The ambience, the service and, above all, the food is the epitome of Lower Bavarian tavern culture. Rarely have I eaten such a mega roast pork as here. Clear recommendation

Nice restaurant with very friendly service. However, I was not satisfied with the food. Unfortunately, the onion roast was served with ready-made, hard fried onions. Actually it doesn't work at all. It's a shame, with a little more effort it could have been really good.

We were at the Wirtshaus zur Wurz'n today, September 20, 2024. The food was excellent 👍👍 (onion roast with fried potatoes). The waitress Melanie made it even better with her special warmth and friendly laugh. We will definitely come back on our next trip 🫠🫠🤗

Diese Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert, aber unbedingt vorher reservieren. Der Schweinebraten schmeckte ausgezeichnet, ebenfalls der Zwiebelrostbraten. Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames Personal.

We were served quickly. The food was also brought to the table quickly. Especially considering how crowded it was here. In any case, reservations should be made in advance. Unfortunately, some people had to be sent away today who didn't make reservations. But no wonder given the great weather. The food was plentiful and really good. We had the onion roast 3 times. Upon request, one of them was fried well, which still didn't harm the taste. Plus a schnitzel and a roast. The “käptn Iglo” was also well received by our youngest at the table. We will come again...

Had dinner there yesterday with 3 people. Onion roast was ordered medium but unfortunately it was well done. You can't do that well with a mountain of fried potatoes. Schnitzel was okay... but the mountain of fries wasn't necessary... the large salad was okay. On the whole, I would have this Not recommended for a stop.

Great Bavarian food and a smart landlady, what more could you want

Very nice service, the food was very good, we were given a great place in the shade even after registering at very short notice (20 minutes in advance). A water bowl has already been provided for our dog. The prices are perfectly fine.

Wir kommen aus der familiären Umgebung und dieses Restaurant wurde uns empfohlen. Mein Mann hatte Fleisch. Ich eine Fisch Bestellung. Die Köchin= Chefin,wie sich herausstellte,konnte den Fisch leider 2 mal nach Reklamation nur „halb roh „servieren. Ich habe diesen einfach beim zweiten Mal direkt zurück gebracht und musste mich belehren lassen, dass der Fisch durch sei. Einzigartig die wunderbare Bedienung, mein Mann und die anderen Göste. Liebe Frau Chefin, meckern sie ihre Göste nicht mehr an. Das schafft bessere Stimmung in Niederbayern und Umgebung. So jedenfalls geht es nicht. Beste Grüße an
