We waited about an hour for our food and then the meat in my roast pork was also tough (made too quickly with too much heat)

Very tasty food. Portions were sufficient. Service was super friendly. Really recommended. We'd love to come back.

We were unlucky, the catering holiday, which was not announced online, prevented our plans. Otherwise we were always happy here.

The atmosphere there is simply perfect for airplane fans. On the terrace you can watch the take-off and landing processes and see many great aircraft. We weren't so impressed with the food there. We had the airport plate for €15.90 each. If the meat hadn't been so tough that it was almost impossible to handle it with the cutlery available, in my opinion the meal would have been worth just €12. The side salad consisted entirely of pickled preserves apart from cucumber slices and lettuce leaves, but the potato salad was great. For just under €16, I expect a dish that is better than what I get at home. And I'm not a professional.

We arrived with a small group of motorcycles of 7 people, we were told they had no room for us, even though ice started to rain lightly, they sent us away again 5 minutes later it was raining heavily, not recommended, I'll never come back

One of the most beautiful restaurants at Bavaria's airfields. Idyllic location on the Danube, only separated from the runway. Runway right in front of the terrace! Super friendly service! And no waiting times!

The restaurant with probably the most beautiful view of the picturesque town of Vilshofen on the Danube. Also very nice terrace. Right at the commercial airfield - you can watch the planes take off and land from the dining table. Nice motorhome parking space in the immediate vicinity. Menu with good selection. The food is tasty, the prices are reasonable. Cake counter with delicious cakes and tarts. Attentive staff, the kitchen also caters to special requests.

Sehr freundliches Personal, ruhige Lage. Schlechte Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und in den noch nicht renovierten Zimmern ohne Insektenschutzfenster ist es nicht sehr angenehm. Waren aber trotzdem sehr zufrieden.

The restaurant is on the other side of the Danube from Vilshofen. It's definitely worth taking the short route over the bridge! Very nice terrace and, in my opinion, the best price/performance ratio in the area. Very tasty food, open all day and very friendly service.

We didn't eat anything extra, but there was an extra line in the purchase receipt with "Food Miscellaneous" for 11 euros with a few cents The waitress automatically typed this in and I think this tip was too much. That's very sad. This also means a tip... Unfortunately I looked at my receipt too late. Otherwise there is a beautiful view of the Danube

Stopped in for 12 people with 9 dogs on Sunday lunchtime. Everyone was very happy with their chosen meal, service was quick and very friendly, we will definitely come back again.

We got a place here on a public holiday, despite a lot of visitors and without a reservation. The service was quick and friendly. Our order, deer goulash with bread dumplings and Vilshofen airfield plate, was awesome. I haven't eaten this good and a sufficiently large portion for a long time. We will stop here again when we are at the motorhome parking space again. This restaurant, with a terrace, is definitely highly recommended.

I've eaten there again for a long time. Was very satisfied. The staff very friendly. Only the asparagus was a little overcooked.

Unfortunately, the food was really not good, the pork loin was not seasoned at all, the pepper sauce was not seasoned at all, and there were frozen vegetables, the meat was okay but not really good. The schnitzel is from the frozen food store, so I can't live up to all the good reviews, that's probably one 5/10 restaurant if anything.

Bei schönem Wetter tolle Aussicht auf die Landebahn, die Donau und Vilshofen. Das Essen ist gut bürgerlichen, gut und preiswert.

Wir wollten uns dir Lokation nur Mal anschauen um das nächste Mal zum Essen zu kommen. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse weil Sonnen Wetter und haben Kaffee und Kuchen gegessen. Alles super, Bedingungen sehr freundlich. Meine Frau ist zu dem kleinen Spielplatz gegangen mit den Kindern. Ich habe noch ein Helles getrunken und mir die Flugzeuge angeschaut die immer wieder starteten oder gelandet sind. Wir freuen uns aufs nächste Mal und werden was zu Mittag essen. Laut Bedingungen für Sonntag immer vorher anrufen und reservieren weil immer voll.

Tolle Gaststätte mit angenehmer Atmosphäre, mit Blick auf die Start/Landebahn des Flughafens. Freundliche Bedienung. Die Portionen sind so, dass man auch satt wird. Es gibt einen schön angelegten Biergarten.

Herrlich für eine Radtour. Liegt direkt am Weg. Als Brotzeit einen Wurstsalat. War megagut. Kann ich auf alle Fälle empfehlen. Dieses Ziel ist gespeichert.

Wäre es nicht am Flugplatz, man würde dort nicht hingehen. Service unterirdisch, Essen gerade mal okay, Gerichte ohne totes Tier sucht man auf der Karte vergeblich - der Flugplatz ist super, die Nähe zu Vilshofen auch, aber das Restaurant braucht dringend einen neuen Pächter. Schade :(

Found this place after finding our intended venue closed on Wednesdays. What good luck for us, and what a gem of a place. Food was fine, service was quick, and that with a view of the light aircraft taking off with the river in the background.

Neben dem hervorragenden Zander und dem Salatbuffet fasziniert der Blick auf den belebten Sportflugplatz, die derzeit liegenden Kreuzfahrtschiffe und das nette Vilshofen. Ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit zivilen Preisen.

Ist ein Flugplatz wo Flugzeuge sich warm laufen und ein funktionsfähig Test mit Vollgas machen. Wem dies gefällt wir sich hier wohl fühlen.

Sehr nettes Restaurant das immer sehr sehr gut besucht ist, eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Für mich der beste Zwiebelrostbraten in der Umgebung. Für Familien mit Kindern besonders gut geeignet, da es eine tolle Spielecke gibt.

Wir kommen hier seit mehr als 10 Jahren immer wieder zum Essen vorbei und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auf alle Fälle. Der Service auch. Die Wartezeit aufs Essen variiert je nach Aufkommen von sehr schnell bis auch mal etwas länger. Aber dafür sind die Speisen immer frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft. Auch größerer Veranstaltungen werden professionell abgewickelt.

Die Pommmes waren kalt und roh und der Besitzer war unverschämt und wir sollten das Restaurant verlassen. Er sollte sich einmal professionell behandeln lassen.

Hallo - Guten Tag. - Habe für 5 Personen reserviert - angeboten wurde ein sehr kleiner Tisch für max. 4 Personen - BLANK. Nachdem angesprochen der Kommentar - man könnte ja noch einen Stuhl dazu holen - Nach weiterem Einspruch wurde ein runder - bereits mit einem Deckchen usw. eingedeckter, ausreichender Tisch - Bedienung - sehr sehr freundlich und bemüht. Esse bestellt - schnell am Tisch a b e r - ein verliebter Koch der ja bekannlich viel salzt und würzt wäre hier besser am Werk gewesen. Das Fleisch - auch der Fisch waren ungewürzt. Die Soße zum Hirschgulasch nicht mit dem typischem kräftigem Geschmack - alles in allem - gerade jetzt zu Coronazeiten sollte ein kommen der Gäste belohnt werden und ausgezeichnet gekocht werden. Wir haben am 06.01.20 im Restaurant angerufen und einen Tisch für 13:30 für 2 Personen reserviert. Diese Reservierung würde vom Restaurant bestätigt. Wir sind also bei schönem Wetter mit unseren Fahrrädern nach Vilshofen gefahren. Dort angekommen wurde uns ein Tisch zugeteilt, den wir mit anderen Gästen teilen sollte. Der Grund: Es gibt sowieso keine 2er Tische und es ist heute eh zu viel los. Wir finden, einfach unglaublich. Ein anderer Tisch war frei, dieser würde uns verweigert weil da noch Gäste kommen. Einfach unglaublich und uns fehlen da die Worte. Service unterirdisch. Das ist uns noch nie passiert. Keine schöne Grüße an das Flugplatzrestaurant Volker und Inesa

Für unsere Reisegruppe mit 30 Personen waren Plätze reserviert. Der Service ging sehr zügig. Die Essensauswahl (a la carte) war großzügig und für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt und kann man nur empfehlen. Wegen der schönen Aussicht auf die Donau und den Flugbetrieb auch für längere Verweildauer geeignet.

Wir waren schon mehrmals hier.Auf der Terrasse ist es im Sommer interessant die Flugzeuge zu beobachten.Sonntags ist das Lokal besonders stark besucht.Man muß Glück haben freie Plätze zu bekommen.Vielseitige Speisekarte,günstiges Essen.Bei vollem Lokal hat der Service sehr gut geklappt.

wir waren sehr spät dran und kamen schon nach dem Schließen der Küche an. Das Personal hat dennoch die schon geschlossene Küche geöffnet und uns bestens und freundlich bedient. Die Speisen sind sehr gut. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Schöne Terrasse mit Blick über den Flugplatz zur Donau und zur gegenüberliegenden Seite. Ideal am Abend, da hier noch die Sonne scheint. Essen ist durchschnittlich.

Leider zu wenig Kreativität in der Küche meist Teilfertiggerichte die noch angelegt und garniert werden, dazu sind die Preise aber nicht niedrig genug. Das Essen trotzdem gut und reichlich.

Ich hattre Freunde zur Geburttagsfeier eingeladen (Restaurant war zum Thema Geburtstag informiert) und entsprechend reserviert. Tisch war am Ende der Terasse, neben den Müllcontainern die bei der warmen Witterung entdsprechend rochen. Die beiden reservierten Tische waren nicht eingedeckt, man versuchte mal schnell "darüber zu wischen". Speisekarte gab es keine mit Hinweis: "Wir müssen gerade neu kalkulieren"! Mündlich wurden die zur Verfügung stehenden Speisen aufgezählt: Schnitzel in jeder Machart! Die Qualität der Spreisen war "gut bürgerlich", die Preise waren auch OK; aber das Drumherum war doch recht enttäuschend.Selbst ohne Feierlichkeit wäre der Service inakzeptabel gewesen.

Die Auswahl ist ausreichend und das Essen dem Geschmack nach sehr gut. Der Koch sollte nur mit der ueberfluessiger Dekoration am Teller etwas sparsammer umgehen. Ich aergare mich jedesmal ueber die Scheibe Kiwi und Scheibe Orange, eine Physalis, Erdbeere, 1 Blatt salat, Birne mit Preiselbeeren und vieles mehr auf dem Teller wo eigentlich nur der Hirschgulasch mit Knoedel und Rotkraut sein sollte.
