We were here for dinner yesterday and were extremely satisfied. The quality of the food impressed us. The service was exceptionally friendly. We look forward to another visit.

Still one of the best pub meals! I highly recommend the lemon fried chicken. Good value for money. We were here two years ago, and it was worth it again. Unfortunately, there's only one waiter inside and one outside, so the wait times are longer. The courtyard is beautiful, but it's a bit chilly inside.

Typically German, the last food order was at 1:30 p.m. So, there was no food or service. The beer garden makes a good impression.

Very good, no-frills food in a traditional restaurant at a reasonable price.

The food was delicious, the currywurst was good. The dessert was also delicious. The ambiance is traditional German. A typical German restaurant where you can get everything from Sauerbraten to Schäufele (sauerbraten). The price/performance ratio is decent. Due to the large group size, we had to wait an hour for the food to arrive at our table. I would still recommend it!

Unfortunately, there were no more shoulders of pork left! The ladies also seem a bit overwhelmed when the restaurant is busy...a little younger staff would be nice (without being too intrusive to the ladies). Perhaps the younger crowd will come in the evening? Otherwise, the Sauerbraten and the roast pork were excellent, and the currywurst was also great.

Yes, we had a good meal for a low price. We arrived just before closing time and were still able to get something to eat. It was served very quickly, and the service was very friendly.

Great inn, delicious food. I'm talking about the veal liver and the veal schnitzel. The Schiessl beer is truly something special. Best place in Amberg.

As for the food and service, I should really give it five stars. Actually, I should. Because it's still only getting three stars. Not because of the good food, and not because of the friendly service and the nice bar staff. But ultimately, I felt really sorry for both of them. How can you employ only one waitress in one of the busiest restaurants that's packed to the brim? The boss should put himself down there.

The food was great. You do have to wait a bit, but in small towns, that shows that the food is cooked with love. And it's not a fast-food chain, so it's definitely recommended.

A super authentic, rustic pub with great beer and the best food I've had in Amberg so far. It's a shame that you can't always get a seat if you don't have a reservation. But the food and beer make up for that. Whatever I order, it's always incredibly delicious and absolutely affordable!

The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and witty; the food was simple but outstanding in both quality and taste, and the portions were generous. The Schießl offers very good value for money. We'd gladly return.

I highly recommend stopping by the idyllic inner garden and trying, for example, the Dotsch (a potato dish from the Upper Palatinate). Friendly service and excellent value for money.

The service was horrible! An older woman with white hair and glasses should be fired. She was completely rude to customers, yelled at them, and didn't care at all. Food was okay, the soup had no seasoning at all, but the main course was fine.

I ate here with my girlfriend, and we were greeted warmly by a waitress who also served our food very quickly. However, things quickly changed when we noticed another waitress who was pushing customers away, yelling at them, not caring, not looking at them, and very rude! This lady shouldn't be working in a restaurant; she should be a screaming coach! We also waited 40 minutes for our soup and another 10 minutes for the main course. We will be avoiding this restaurant in the future because of this waitress!

The staff is always very friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. Good, home-style Bavarian cooking without any ifs or buts. Very good value for money, as is the homemade food. No frozen goods, always fresh, and they serve excellent beer. The interior is authentically Bavarian, just as you'd expect from a Bavarian restaurant. The beer garden is also not too big. For someone who lives near Cologne, it's a real shame I can't go there more often. Keep up the high quality 💪🏻💜 Enjoy your meal!

TOP-CLASS! ! ! The best Bavarian cuisine, the kind you rarely get served these days. Whether it was the super-tender roast beef with perfectly fluffy dumplings and handmade sauce or the pan-fried veal schnitzel with potato and cucumber salad, both dishes were prepared with love and care, without any unnecessary frills. Add to that the friendly service—you simply can't ask for more. Thank you for a truly royal lunch 😉

A very cozy, old Bavarian inn with a beautiful medieval courtyard. The service is super fast and friendly. There is an extensive daily menu. The food was impressive! I had tagliatelle with wild garlic...a dream! The food was fresh and quick, even though there were quite a few visitors and the courtyard filled up quickly! A full E M P F E H L U N G!

I'm a regular with a third-generation jug, grandpa's jug, dad's now mine In September I had cream-roasted veal, which was gray and bitter, then went through. On Friday evening Palatinate with Kraut, Kraut was gray and cold, Palatinate lukewarm, My wife had original Viennese veal schnitzel, in four pieces, like children's schnitzel, the beer came warm 3 times, glasses warm, out of the dishwasher. Price increase totally excessive

We think it's great, be sure to reserve. Unfortunately, sometimes there is simply not enough staff. Reservations are never possible at short notice so you know there will always be a lot going on. Reordering or complaining is almost impossible. Last time my food was very dark and lukewarm, so the question arises, what now? People try very hard but can't share. Guest hungry and little time because the table has already been reserved again. And after that, a discussion is no longer of any use. Too bad! I love being there so much.

Good cuisine, fair prices, particularly recommended the butter biscuit cream as a dessert – a dream. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, reserving a table the day before was no problem.

This brings back memories of the good old days. They are the last of their guild. Nobody wants to work in the catering industry anymore. Please hold on. It was so beautiful.

For me the best pub in Amberg. I've been enjoying coming here for years. great value for money, great food, good portions. Very good quality of the food. I love the Tegernsee schnitzel! I also think it’s great that we’re “moving with the times” here. Not only is there always a seasonally adapted (daily) menu, but also various vegetarian and vegan dishes without getting boring, not just cheese spaetzle or oven-baked vegetables. You can also simply order something to take away. The service is good and friendly, sometimes you have to wait a bit due to the busyness. I think it would be great if it was possible to reserve tables online in the future, otherwise I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Very very tasty, friendly attentive service, good 🍻 and 🍷. Definitely try the Waldschrazl nightcap!!! It's best to reserve a seat, we didn't get a seat. The kitchen is open until 2 p.m. and then again from 5 p.m.

Went by spontaneously for lunch and got a table without a reservation. Next time I would definitely make a reservation as space is limited. The food was extremely tasty (veal sauerbraten with dumplings), the service was very friendly.

Most authentic inn in Amberg! Good food and beer at a fair price. The ambience is what you would expect from a pub. Since this is no secret, due to the high number of people, you have to allow for a little waiting time here and there for the food. But that again shows that the food is freshly cooked. The wheel isn't being reinvented here, but the price-performance ratio is okay, just plain home-style cooking. The butter biscuit cream was very good, absolutely recommended, but I'm no longer sure whether it was only on the daily menu when I was there or regularly. The atmosphere is nice, the service was good, I was served by a very friendly woman originally from the Rhineland.

Beer garden, cozy courtyard. Service friendly, direct (but funny, unless you don't understand jokes). Wheat beer like beer met our taste exactly, it was Winkler beer. Cheese bread with beer with extra paprika spice.

I would give 10 points if I could. Great ambience, friendly service and the best food by far the best price-performance ratio in Amberg. Since I love curry sausage with fries, I can only recommend eating the delicious curry sausage there and best of all, the meal costs under 9€👍 That's an announcement, as otherwise more than 11€ is charged in Amberg city center.

Great inn. Super delicious food, everything is freshly prepared. Price performance is absolutely right. It was very crowded and only two waitresses. These were simply great. Very quick and attentive. Absolutely recommended.

Went there again today for our regulars' table. We were only contacted by the waitress after our table, which had been reserved a month ago, was simply given to another group of people. Alternatively, we should sit 6 people plus a small child at a table for 4 people. When I waited outside I was checked in again. An older man was also pushed aside more quickly with the words. So unfortunately I won't be visiting this restaurant again or recommending it to others, which is a shame because the food there was always good.

Beautiful traditional, slightly rustic beer garden that invites you to linger on sunny days. Beer was tasty and nice and cold, but you had to wait a good 15 minutes for it despite the moderate number of visitors.

Simply one of the best Amberg inns. Perfect price-performance ratio. A potato salad from m.M.n. the rating - tastes like it was earned by mother. 2-3 very tasty vegan and vegetarian dishes. The service cannot be described, you have to experience it.

The inn was recommended by a customer during a business trip. Although very, very full, the waitresses were very prompt and served everything quickly and appropriately. The food was very plentiful, hearty but tasty. Although not necessarily what I would have chosen myself for dinner in the evening. The dessert was even more delicious and would have been enough for 3. We sat in the courtyard/beer garden.

We were a little late for lunch, but were still able to eat, braised ox It was super tasty, juicy and the meat was very tender. Veal schnitzel also very good.

One of the best inns in Amberg and the surrounding area! Delicious and inexpensive food! Fast and friendly staff who are always happy to say something quick! Just a real inn, like something out of a “picture book”. And it can happen in the evening that one or two meals are "eaten", which is definitely an indirect compliment to the kitchen!
