We had lunch on December 15th, it was very tasty. We were very satisfied. We've been there before and it tastes great

We went here for dinner on Boxing Day. The given time slot was from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The drinks came from the friendly service after a good 45 minutes, which is too long in my opinion. The portions (I had a Cordon Bleu) were large and tasted very good. The missing stars are due to the following reason: There were soap containers in the toilets for both men and women, but they were only filled with water, which is not possible. In the catering industry you should at least be able to wash your hands properly after using the toilet. I hope that this was just an isolated incident today. On the whole, I would of course come again as the price/performance ratio is okay.

Price performance is very good. Unfortunately there wasn't enough sauce when frying. Extra sauce also costs extra, but 1.50 euros whatever. It would be much more important to close the door to the kitchen!! You smell totally like food and grease, everything has to go in the laundry, including people. There is a hatch that the staff should use so that the entire room would not be filled with the smell of food.

We were here years ago when an older lady served us who seemed stressed but at least made an effort. Now we were back there for the Christmas party, we had booked the table for over a month and had booked it relatively early so as not to get caught up in the main business. When we entered the restaurant there was a lady sitting right opposite the front door (apparently she was one of them) who was making all sorts of chaos on the table there and at first we thought we were wrong. We were just looked at disparagingly and then ignored, luckily someone in our group was already sitting at a table, so we just sat there, otherwise we would still be standing there. The restaurant was 1/4 full and it was no longer possible to get more than one menu per table - some tables didn't get any at all, but we were still expected to be able to place our complete order within 2 minutes of arriving, although maybe 2 people had seen the card so far. The gentleman who "served" us was incredibly unfriendly and unpleasant. After we ordered, he immediately snatched the menu. The soup took forever to arrive as it was brought along with the main courses. When a meal was brought to our table and everyone said that we hadn't ordered it, the gentleman became even more unfriendly and aggressive, you weren't even allowed to say what you ordered because he just told you the word section and continued. After the 5th time that it wasn't our order, he left angrily and just slammed the other food on the table. At some point he realized his mistake because he smugly told us that the food was probably for another table. However, he probably didn't want to bother with food out of anger, because everyone but one person got their food. And not just everyone at the table but everyone in the restaurant. When we were already thinking about leaving, we finally received information about food. However, if we had started to finish it after ordering, it would have been ready shortly after all the other food, so unfortunately we had to spend more time here unnecessarily. We were then completely ignored. We would have liked to have had something to drink or something while we were waiting unnecessarily... But then not. When we also wanted foil and coffee, we were worried that we would be thrown out straight away. The portions were large but were smothered in caraway seeds. For us and our colleagues present, this was definitely the last visit.

Quaint, rustic restaurant, large portions, sensationally good, large Cordon Bleu, if you like Franconian cuisine, this is the place for you.

Positive, the portion is very large. Staff very slow and unfriendly. Drinks are empty and no one comes, we got one menu for 6 people. Hardly anything going on and still took a very long time. One person didn't get their food until three people had already finished.

Popular pub with friendly service, good beer and traditional food. The portions are huge and can only be managed by extreme eaters. All of this at very moderate prices. Closed Monday and Tuesday, otherwise reservations are recommended. Cash only!

Very disappointing experience! Unfortunately the restaurant is a complete failure. As soon as you enter, you're hit with an intense smell of frying fat and oil - it's really unpleasant. The menu lists high-priced schnitzels, which would be acceptable if the quality was right. But the height of audacity: an extra 70 cents are charged for each individual ketchup packet! And worst of all, these additional costs are nowhere to be found on the map. The food is tasty but quite expensive. But then charging extra for ketchup is crazy! The service was unfriendly and extremely rude. The service when paying was a disaster - the man who collected the money was so rude that he shouldn't have had any customer contact. All in all, horrible service and definitely not a recommendation from me. I definitely won't go here again!

Typical simple Franconian restaurant. Located in a quiet area, with a terrace for outside seating. The service staff is very friendly and quick. But now about the food: The menu features predominantly meat dishes, many variations of schnitzel and cordon bleu, as well as various Bohemian dishes. The portions are very generous, you can also order half portions. The quality and taste of the individual dishes are excellent. The price-performance ratio is good. The restaurant was recommended to us by friends and it certainly wasn't the only time we've been here.

If you like really good home cooking, you'll definitely get your money's worth here! The restaurant is not overrun with tourists but rather appreciated by the “locals” and they know where the food is good. The portions are quite large for a fair price. If you can't eat that much, you can order everything smaller. Everything tasted great.

That was really a HAMMER experience. Although a whole group came with us (4 people), probably 30 people in total, the service was fast and super friendly. She also implemented my special requests quickly and without much fuss. I'm not allowed pork and she quickly turned the pork schnitzel with paprika sauce into a turkey schnitzel. There was no discussion or anything. I've never really experienced anything like that before. If I could, I would give the service staff 10 stars. The food tasted great, there was aluminum foil to wrap it up. If I'm in Nuremberg again, we'll definitely go there again. There were no problems with my walker either.

We actually always enjoyed eating there, but unfortunately it's now the case that some of the employees get really cheeky and just hang up on us or send cheeky messages. We had reserved a table for today and unfortunately we couldn't keep it. I called straight away at 11am to let you know, they just said “yes yes” and hung up. I then tried to call again because I actually wanted to order something to pick up and was immediately pushed away. We won't go there anymore.

Traditional Franconian and Bohemian cuisine is served here. If you have a good appetite, this is the place for you. It tastes excellent, everything is freshly prepared, from the salad to homemade fries to the dumplings. The restaurant itself could use some sprucing up, but it's subjective. Price/performance ratio is still okay, for a “normal” Franconian dish around €18, for example. B. Sauerbraten, is just okay, especially if it tastes so good, like here. Parking situation is very cramped, but that's due to the Hasenbuck. We can recommend it. Thank you very much, see you soon 👍

Nice staff, most of the schnitzels at the schnitzel buffet were cold and tough unfortunately. The ladies behind the buffet were overwhelmed and not exactly nice.

Very good home cooking with great schnitzel and cordon bleu in a variety of variations, changing weekly menu, large portions and always fresh and hot on the table. There's really nothing to complain about. The price increase within a few months... well, that's debatable. Drink prices are too high compared to other comparable restaurants. Since the beginning of the year, a small sachet of ketchup has been charging 70 cents. Quite apart from the fact that I think the prices for drinks and main courses are too expensive at 70 cents, you won't find these additional costs listed anywhere on the menu. We were there with a few people and when we asked, two handfuls of ketchup packets were thrown on the table. Last year it was easy to put the ketchup bottle on the table, but well... times are changing, the sachets are terrible when it comes to waste prevention. We found it simply outrageous that ketchup was then charged 11 times on the bill, the quantity of which we hadn't ordered (and hadn't used!) and that there was no mention of it whatsoever. You may now think to yourself "it's just ketchup" and no one would have been particularly upset about the correctly charged 70 cents, but when the already unfriendly waiter then becomes snippy and rude and says something like "at McDonald's you pay for it also!" comes, then things get unpleasant. To make matters worse, he actually managed to miscalculate four times on four separate invoices and was offended when it was pointed out to him. We had a really nice evening, the waitress who looked after us throughout the evening was great. But this extremely unfriendly colleague of hers and the "ketchup gate" left a really bland mess behind. Hopefully it was an exception.

Hier ist es einfach Spitze. Jedes Gericht ein Highlight. Sonderwünsche werden immer berücksichtigt. Richtig deutsche Küche. Meine Empfehlung: Holzfäller Cordon bleu. Chefin und Chef immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ Kenne kein zweites Lokal in dieser Klasse.

Die Erhöhung der Preise würde ich noch verkraften, auch wenn es bis zu 3 Euro pro Essen teurer wurde da die Qualität sehr gut und die Portionen groß sind. Aber die Getränkepreise so anzuheben ist absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Für ein Bier 4,40 Euro, Schorle 4,50 Euro. Das ist überzogen. Wir haben uns während Corona wöchentlich Essen abgeholt um euch zu unterstützen und jetzt zockt ihr uns ab. Wir werden daher nicht mehr so oft zum Essen kommen. Ihr seid zudem teurer als die Gaststätten auf der Burg das regt zum Nachdenken an.

Urische Einrichtung mit super nette Bedienung. Riesige Portion und mega lecker. Parkplatzsituation ist nicht so günstig, aber ein kleiner Spaziergang nach dem reichhaltigen Essen ist eh empfehlenswert.

Sehr leckeres Essen und riesige Portionen. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Sehr günstig. Die Gaststätte ist einfach toll und das Personal sehr Kinder- und Familienfreundlich. Ich kann diese Gaststätte jedem empfehlen.

Es war sehr lecker. Preis/Leistung ist sehr gut und die Portionen sind wirklich sehr groß. Ich hatte das Cordon Bleu und hatte am nächsten Mittag nochmal was zum Essen 😉

Also wer gute und sehr große Portionen mag ist hier genau richtig. Gute Bodenständige Küche. Mit Parkplätzen schaut es nicht so gut aus. Preise für die Größe der Portionen absolut okay.

Das ist die beste Gaststätte in Nürnberg. Das Essen ist super lecker, egal was wir dort gegessen haben (wir sind ofters dort), unsere Freunde sind auch immer zufrieden. Sehr empfehlenswert.

war gestern am abend in diesem restaurant essen. das bestellte cordon hat den ganzen teller ausgefüllt und hat richtig gut geschmeckt. auch die selbst grmachten pommes inkl. salat waren sehr schmackhaft. werde das nächste mal wieder dort essen gehn wenn ich in der nähe bin

Sehr schönes Lokal versteckt mitten im Wohngebiet, Service auf zack, das Essen ist klasse, sehr große Portionen vor allem die Schnitzel in verschiedenen Varianten, man schafft es kaum so groß und erstklassig, wir kommen wieder

Alte fränkische Wirtschaft, etwas versteckt, mit traditioneller Küche. Schnitzel sagenhaft groß und lecker. Aber auch alle anderen Speisen bisher sehr empfehlenswert. Schlicht eingerichtet. Personal rustikal aber sehr freundlich. Preise angemessen.

Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, und die Portionen riesig. Das sogar ich zu kämpfen hatte. Die Alufolie wurde an den Tischen rum gereicht um die Reste einzupacken. Und da fängt das Problem an, Kloß mit Soße bzw. Salat lässt sich so nicht mit zunehmen. In der Metro gibt es Einwegschüsseln für ein paar Cent. Die hätte ich als Gast gerne gezahlt. Für schwache Essen empfehle ich eine Dose mitbringen. Mein essen hatte für meinen Geschmack zu viele Röstaromen, und die Schärfe vom Spezial Cordon Bleu war etwas enttäuschend. Der Karpfen von meiner Begleitung war allerdings vom feinsten.

Geheimtipp: Wie früher, fränkisch, derb-freundlicher Service, tolle Schnitzelvarianten, Sauerbraten oder Schäufele wie bei Muttern, weil sehr frisch gemacht dauert letzteres etwas. Leider passt das unterdurchschnittliche Bier nicht zum überdurchschnittlichen Essen sowie den durchschnittlichen Preisen

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen war sehr lecker, ich hatte ein Schnitzel „Wiener Art“ also ein Schweineschnitzel und das kam sicherlich aus der Pfanne. Wir hatten unsere Bestellung auch schnell am Tisch, obwohl das Lokal komplett voll war.
