One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Nuremberg

A beer garden located in a backyard with friendly service, delicious beer and food. It's best to reserve a table, otherwise be patient or sit at one of the tables with a bar stool.

The taste of the food was decent. Unfortunately the waiting time was far too long. The service made a minimum effort to satisfy the guest. The table was not wiped down beforehand and the guests' full ashtray remained.

Food and beer are great. But the service should urgently improve its friendliness.

Pleasant dinner at one of the city's breweries. On line 1, two stops from the city center. The shank is very good. Very good weizen beer. There is a more genuine atmosphere than the social clubs of the city centre.

I call it a backyard beer garden. Really cool ones for a beer garden. Prices typical of Nuremberg, but absolutely ok value for money, and very good service.

We were here with a few colleagues. Super friendly service and quick too, so it's fun. Food was delicious and the portion was large. As always, the ambience is a matter of taste. I liked it for a beer garden. If my colleague hadn't made the good recommendation, I probably wouldn't have gone in. If I had spontaneously visited, I would definitely have moved on. And that would have been a real shame. ;-)

A must for beer drinkers. The food tastes very good and there is a large selection. The garden is nice and shady. Parking facilities - miserable. The garden could use a little color.

Cuisine is regional and international. The food and the beer from the brewery's own production are excellent. You can't see it at all, you think it's an apartment building. But the beer garden next door is beautiful and completes the taste experience. All in all, I would happily recommend it with a clear conscience. This is a real insider tip. It deserves more than nice words!!!!! People keep it up.

A very relaxed beer garden in Gostenhof, where you can sit outside even in rainy weather. The beer is of course outstanding, we each had a light Schanze. I also had the roulade with dumpling, which I wasn't very impressed with. The taste was ok, but the meat should have been thinner and the red cabbage, which you had to order separately, was too expensive and so thickened with starch that there were still starch dumplings left in the cabbage. But I'll come back and try something else :)

Price/performance okay, service attentive and friendly, no menu at hand, it was only written with chalk on a blackboard, seating is possible at high tables with higher stools or at brewery tables with the famous folding wooden chairs. Dishes were tasty, Schåufele was over-grilled but not warm enough! Drink selection good! We recommend !

Rustic, excellent beer, good food. The crew puts you in a good mood, always recommended! The “insulation” on the ceiling is also cool, so the acoustics are 100% better and you can understand the person you’re talking to!

Cozy restaurant. We had good weather and sat in the garden. Ordered 3 bratwursts with sauerkraut, potato and bread. Had a nice local beer.

Terrible! Rats visit while eating in the beer garden! ¾ hour wait for food. SCHÄUFERLE WITHOUT A CRISPY CRUST, EVERYTHING IS FLAPPY! Roulade was dry. The only good thing was the service.

A great brewery and handicapped accessible

We went there for dinner with colleagues. A very nice beer garden, the conditions were also nice, but I am extremely disappointed with the price-performance ratio. I had 2 bread dumplings with sauce - they were tasty, but the price (€12.60) was a bit exaggerated. The prices of the other dishes were OK. Therefore even more inexplicable. The explanation was: I charged 2x normal dumplings with sauce because they were bread dumplings?! Conclusion: if you go there, don't order any "special requests" that aren't on the menu...

I had been planning to visit this brewery restaurant for a long time. I was finally able to realize this project during a trade fair visit in Nuremberg. At the beginning you are greeted by an extremely rustic atmosphere that seems to extend through all areas of the property. While you're still wondering whether this is really the right place to relax after a strenuous day at the trade fair, the mysticism there is already beginning to captivate you. Due to the many visitors in the bar itself, there is a Babylonian jumble of individual words and syllables, reinforced by numerous foreign guests of Asian and Eastern European origin who were clearly also on a trade fair tour and now want to have a relaxed beer. The beer garden is also filling up a little, even though the outside temperature is around 13°C. In between, an extremely friendly, conspicuously tattooed younger man in shorts and a T-shirt, Christian, as it turns out later, who, sometimes using the Franconian idiom, sometimes conversing in English, and then again translating the menu into Spanish, was ultra-fast to the guests' wishes and to pose it extremely emphatically. The quality of the food and the excellent beer can be clearly seen in the other reviews. For me it's definitely an oasis in the big city, thank you that something like this still exists and thank you to the aforementioned Christian for his work and the lovely conversation.

If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of traditional Bavarian dishes, and we loved everything we tried. We only had good comments about the food. And beer is more than excellent, don't sit here without trying it 😉 I can’t wait to come back again!

We love Schanzenbräu, but we weren't happy this time. The crusty roast was really fatty. There was chaos among the waitresses, she overcharged for a beer, took the wrong salad, and waited forever for everything. The beer and ambience are of course great as always. But it really could be better.

A fantastic inn that you probably won't find like this anymore. You can be a guest here! Rudimentary and basic in the city - which is definitely not a negative! Instead, there is great praise for the food with a constantly changing daily menu. The waiter and chef are totally authentic. We'd love to come back!

We had a thoroughly successful family lunch. The adults enjoyed, among other things, the fine beer and Schäuferle, the children were already hungry before 12 - the white sausages were perfect. See you next time!

Beer was very good. Food Very good. The service is very friendly, courteous, considerate, she knows a thing or two about gastronomy and how to deal with guests. Would come back at any time. Kudos to the kitchen and all the staff. The restaurant should remain as it is.

Full marks, this is how you imagine a real, authentic Nuremberg economy. Great atmosphere, fair prices for great food. The beer selection is large and all of them are very good to enjoy. Highly recommended, thank you for the lovely evening. We'll definitely come back.

The service was rude. We didn’t feel like leaving any tip because we didn’t really liked the food but they waitress tried to persuade us and even asked where we were from as if it was for cultural reasons.

I was in Nuremberg for work and wanted to eat regional, hearty and delicious food. It worked. The beef goulash was excellent, the side salad was fresh and sumptuous. I also enjoyed the home-brewed beer.

Ein tolles Wirtshaus. Ich haben vor Ort gegessen und auch nur getrunken. Das eigene Bier ist lecker und gut bekömmlich. Qualität und Geschmack von meinem Essen, Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat, war super. Es gibt eine Wochenkarte und eine Karte mit regionalen Klassikern. Der Service war professionel, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Der Ton ist eher locker, was ich schätze Das Ambiente imLokal hat einen eher unsanierten und antiken Charme. Ich finde das super. Wer es eher neu und langweilig durchgestylt mag, ist vielleicht woanders besser aufgehoben Meines Erachtens ist auch das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis fantastisch. Wenn ich in Nürnberg wohnen würde, wäre ich dort Dauergast.

Uriges Restaurant mit fränkischer Küche dazu leckere Biere aus der Brauerei Schanzenbräu. Ein bunt gemischtes Publikum füllt den Gastraum.

Beim Schanzenbräu überzeugt nicht nur das Bier, sondern auch auch die hauseigene Wirtschaft. Essen ist klasse, insbesondere die Brote schmecken richtig lecker. dazu ein schönes Schanzi vom Fass. Was will man mehr? Nette Bedienung, auch die gibt es hier. Auch der Weihnachtsmarkt um die Ecke ist im Winter ein absoluter Bringer!

Eines der Besten Biere in Nürnberg und Franken! Super schöner Biergarten mit angenehmer Atmosphäre. Das Schanzenbräu Lokal wird bei meinen Besuchen in Nürnberg NIE ausgelassen. Immer weiter so! P.S.: Eure Schäufele sind Awesome!

Essen ein Gedicht und sehr preiswert. Bier ein Traum, besonders das Helle des Hauses ist mein Favorit. Absolute Empfehlung wenn man in Nürnberg ist. Man sollte vorher reservieren wenn man mehr als 2 Personen ist.

Sehr leckeres Essen , leider konnten nicht alle zum Essen&Trinken bleiben , weil zuviele reserviert hatten . Preis Leistung geht auch .
