One of my favorite restaurants for years (the food is too good to call it a pub). Nice beer garden in summer, top beer and always very friendly staff. The audience is typically Goho, finally normal people. The best cheese pätzle in Franconia.

Simple and excellent food! Beer comes from our own brewery and the employees are honest, friendly and always do their best! For me one of the most beautiful and truly authentic places in Nuremberg.

One of the few remaining rustic pubs in Nuremberg. The dining room is wooden and old, the menu is typically Franconian and the beer is simply delicious. The roast brawn is highly recommended. It's best to make a reservation during the week, as it can be difficult to get a spot spontaneously.

A Franconian restaurant with top service!! We have been here several times to eat and drink!! We would be happy to come back despite the initial difficulties in service. Our problems were quickly solved!! We always feel at home and just like the Franconian culture!!

The Schanzenbräu Schankwirtschaft is a really rustic restaurant. Just like you imagine a bar, with a small counter at the front, everything inside is rustic and made of wood. Very normal people serve and there is nothing aloof here. Much older audience. The people who work here want to offer good service with delicious food and drink. Neither more nor less. The red beer was delicious and the city sausage with music was tasty. You can come in here, it's a good shop!

Old, rustic restaurant with friendly, quick service. Went here for a stopover and tasted the draft beer. Food portions look good and plentiful. Price-performance absolutely reasonable. Simply quaint

The food and beer tasted good. Unfortunately, our waitress was very unfriendly and even had tantrums towards the end of the evening, throwing glasses around and insulting his colleagues. Too bad!

Great beer. Especially the red beer. Food is fine too! Schanzenbräu is cult in Nuremberg! Almost nothing works without a reservation, at least in the evenings.

Good, down-to-earth Franconian food, friendly service and a simple, rustic interior that tells of the long history of the economy. And not to forget: a delightful selection of home-brewed beer. Not an insider tip, so reservations are definitely recommended.

A wonderfully shady beer garden in summer. Unfortunately, due to the opening times, it's not suitable as an after-work meeting place, otherwise I would definitely stop by there with my work colleagues from time to time. Red beer is not my cup of tea, but there are plenty of other options. Eating is fine, it's better to come and drink. Oh yes, I just saw that it's supposedly open from 3 p.m., that must be new; Then maybe it will work with Afterwork ;)

A great beer garden. A bit away from the hustle and bustle and really rustic. People like to linger here with hearty and good food. Great service, delicious beer, fits. You should have been if you were in Nuremberg.

The cuisine is regional FRÄNKISCH. The food and beer from the brewery's own production are excellent. You can't see it (restaurant) at all, you think it's an apartment building. But the beer garden next door is beautiful and completes the taste experience. All in all, I would happily recommend it with a clear conscience. This is a real insider tip. It deserves more than nice words!!!!! People keep it up.

Solid Franconian inn as it once was

Rude, disrespectful waiters who yell at their customers and call them stupid. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world!

Nice neighborhood pub. It was raining so we had a drink indoors. Friendly waiter. I had hoped to buy some merchandise but all they sold was glasses. For other items you need to go to the brewery.

A beer garden located in a backyard with friendly service, delicious beer and food. It's best to reserve a table, otherwise be patient or sit at one of the tables with a bar stool.

The taste of the food was decent. Unfortunately the waiting time was far too long. The service made a minimum effort to satisfy the guest. The table was not wiped down beforehand and the guests' full ashtray remained.

Pleasant dinner at one of the city's breweries. On line 1, two stops from the city center. The shank is very good. Very good weizen beer. There is a more genuine atmosphere than the social clubs of the city centre.

I call it a backyard beer garden. Really cool ones for a beer garden. Prices typical of Nuremberg, but absolutely ok value for money, and very good service.

We were here with a few colleagues. Super friendly service and quick too, so it's fun. Food was delicious and the portion was large. As always, the ambience is a matter of taste. I liked it for a beer garden. If my colleague hadn't made the good recommendation, I probably wouldn't have gone in. If I had spontaneously visited, I would definitely have moved on. And that would have been a real shame. ;-)

A must for beer drinkers. The food tastes very good and there is a large selection. The garden is nice and shady. Parking facilities - miserable. The garden could use a little color.

A very relaxed beer garden in Gostenhof, where you can sit outside even in rainy weather. The beer is of course outstanding, we each had a light Schanze. I also had the roulade with dumpling, which I wasn't very impressed with. The taste was ok, but the meat should have been thinner and the red cabbage, which you had to order separately, was too expensive and so thickened with starch that there were still starch dumplings left in the cabbage. But I'll come back and try something else :)

Price/performance okay, service attentive and friendly, no menu at hand, it was only written with chalk on a blackboard, seating is possible at high tables with higher stools or at brewery tables with the famous folding wooden chairs. Dishes were tasty, Schåufele was over-grilled but not warm enough! Drink selection good! We recommend !

Rustic, excellent beer, good food. The crew puts you in a good mood, always recommended! The “insulation” on the ceiling is also cool, so the acoustics are 100% better and you can understand the person you’re talking to!

Cozy restaurant. We had good weather and sat in the garden. Ordered 3 bratwursts with sauerkraut, potato and bread. Had a nice local beer.

Terrible! Rats visit while eating in the beer garden! ¾ hour wait for food. SCHÄUFERLE WITHOUT A CRISPY CRUST, EVERYTHING IS FLAPPY! Roulade was dry. The only good thing was the service.

A great brewery and handicapped accessible

We went there for dinner with colleagues. A very nice beer garden, the conditions were also nice, but I am extremely disappointed with the price-performance ratio. I had 2 bread dumplings with sauce - they were tasty, but the price (€12.60) was a bit exaggerated. The prices of the other dishes were OK. Therefore even more inexplicable. The explanation was: I charged 2x normal dumplings with sauce because they were bread dumplings?! Conclusion: if you go there, don't order any "special requests" that aren't on the menu...

I had been planning to visit this brewery restaurant for a long time. I was finally able to realize this project during a trade fair visit in Nuremberg. At the beginning you are greeted by an extremely rustic atmosphere that seems to extend through all areas of the property. While you're still wondering whether this is really the right place to relax after a strenuous day at the trade fair, the mysticism there is already beginning to captivate you. Due to the many visitors in the bar itself, there is a Babylonian jumble of individual words and syllables, reinforced by numerous foreign guests of Asian and Eastern European origin who were clearly also on a trade fair tour and now want to have a relaxed beer. The beer garden is also filling up a little, even though the outside temperature is around 13°C. In between, an extremely friendly, conspicuously tattooed younger man in shorts and a T-shirt, Christian, as it turns out later, who, sometimes using the Franconian idiom, sometimes conversing in English, and then again translating the menu into Spanish, was ultra-fast to the guests' wishes and to pose it extremely emphatically. The quality of the food and the excellent beer can be clearly seen in the other reviews. For me it's definitely an oasis in the big city, thank you that something like this still exists and thank you to the aforementioned Christian for his work and the lovely conversation.

If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of traditional Bavarian dishes, and we loved everything we tried. We only had good comments about the food. And beer is more than excellent, don't sit here without trying it 😉 I can’t wait to come back again!

We love Schanzenbräu, but we weren't happy this time. The crusty roast was really fatty. There was chaos among the waitresses, she overcharged for a beer, took the wrong salad, and waited forever for everything. The beer and ambience are of course great as always. But it really could be better.
