A little hidden and therefore away from the "see and be seen" area, Rene's Café is a little solitude, in the best sense of the word. There is a small upper terrace and down the stairs a slightly larger terrace (maybe just 9 tables?).
You won't find crowds here and that's what makes René's Café, on the often very busy Chiemsee, so special. Quiet and dignified rather than loud and forced, the coffee and cake (see the first two pages of the menu) taste really excellent. Yes, the view of Lake Chiemsee is not a 180 degree view but this café is still highly recommended. Maybe or especially in bad weather because the inside has great flair! 🤗
Very unfriendly, snippy, and overwhelmed staff, and the food was so-so. Even when ordering, our waiter was visibly overwhelmed. I simply wanted to make a change, and he freaked out in a completely unfriendly manner, saying he'd have to check with the kitchen. Every time I said a word, he groaned or interrupted me, so I kept begging to finally finish. Apparently, he knew better than I did what I wanted to order. Then the food arrived, and now I knew why there were plastic salt and pepper shakers on every table. The food was boring and bland, and the portion sizes for this price in such a dump were beyond outrageous. Only the taras, which probably came from a bucket and wasn't homemade, was really tasty. Boring food at expensive prices. I'd rather go downtown and find better.
Great food and fast, courteous service
We once again had a wonderful evening at the Weinstube Kitz.
The appetizers and tarte flambée were delicious. All of the main courses we ordered were very good (9 dishes).
These included fish (octopus), beef steak, pasta, and other meat dishes.
The service was consistently friendly and attentive, which rounded off the evening pleasantly.
Overall, we can recommend the Weinstube Kitz and will definitely return.
The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere!
Great food and service at a reasonable price!
The food here was excellent and that alone was enough to give a high rating however the service was also great and when the bill came I was again pleasantly surprised.
I had the Knusprige Schweinshaxe and my wife had the smoked trout. Delicious!
I highly recommend this restaurant!
A nice, small inn with excellent food, very well prepared and delicious. You can sit outside when the weather is nice. It's easily accessible by boat across Lake Starnberg, as well as by bike and S-Bahn (city rail). Very good service.
Not eaten here as yet, but the Gin called next level gin is without doubt the best gin in the world. You have to try it to understand the quality of the gin, I have yet to find a better gin anywhere. My go to gin all the time when it is available.
A Breton stopover in the heart of Munich. Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood, you're immediately welcomed into a warm atmosphere and the sweet aroma of butter, cheese, and pancakes. The recipes are authentic, generous, and full of character. My special mention goes to the Chaume pancake, a bold and delicious combination. The sweet crepes for dessert are simply irresistible, especially the salted caramel one. The service is attentive, the setting is intimate, and every bite invites us to return.
A highly recommended place for a gourmet and convivial evening. La crêperie Bernard et Bernard,
Marc.
Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Forchheim. Incredible service, super attentive, and incredibly empathetic. The food was a dream; I had veal tartare and flank steak. Outstanding. The wine recommendation was excellent. We'll have to come back more often, unfortunately. Highly recommended.
